The Case of TSR Forward

The Case of TSR Forward

We're back! Again, for the first time, for the last time.

As The Supreme Resort Podcast evolves, we expand our discussion to the differences between Disneyland and Walt Disney World beyond the major rides, shows and attractions. In this episode, we also speculate on Disneyland Forward and share more about our personal lives than you never knew and never really cared about.

Thank you listener for sticking with us through our continued evolution. To paraphrase Walt Disney: The Supreme resort will never be complete. It will always be in a state of becoming. It will change and grow and evolve as long as there is imagination left in the hosts scattered brains.

[00:00:00] Welcome to the Supreme Resort, Land V World, a podcast about Disneyland and Walt Disney

[00:00:22] World and which is the Supreme Resort.

[00:00:26] Each episode we will discuss and explore each resort ride by ride, land by land, park by

[00:00:31] park to determine which is better.

[00:00:35] I'm your host Jimmy and thank you for joining me on this quest to help the greater good

[00:00:38] of humanity answer this long elusive question, which is better Disneyland or Walt Disney

[00:00:43] World. Joining me as always is Dan.

[00:00:47] Hi, I'm Dan. I think it's really important.

[00:00:49] I just want to say this is of a table.

[00:00:53] I think spectrum is the best that you can get from cable for spectrum is there's so

[00:01:02] much irony in that, Dan, if you only knew from our end because I presume you're talking

[00:01:08] about spectrum cable.

[00:01:09] We heard every other word.

[00:01:10] Okay.

[00:01:12] Eric is also here.

[00:01:13] Hi Eric.

[00:01:14] How do you feel about spectrum cable?

[00:01:16] I don't have spectrum cable, but Danny totally fell for it.

[00:01:20] Wow.

[00:01:22] He fell for it.

[00:01:23] He's in the script.

[00:01:25] Yeah.

[00:01:26] OK, so ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome back.

[00:01:29] We're back and we have some things to say.

[00:01:33] We have things to talk about.

[00:01:34] We're going to do a little bit of speculation, which I don't love to do on the show

[00:01:38] because of timestamps a little bit, but we have a lot to say.

[00:01:42] Thank you again, Eric, for your time and energy in recording a couple episodes

[00:01:46] for Run Disney.

[00:01:48] If you have not listened to those episodes, please go back and listen.

[00:01:50] They're very informative and fun.

[00:01:52] And then we had David, who's our producer.

[00:01:55] Come on and talk about his first trip to Disney World.

[00:01:58] We are back with a...

[00:02:00] It's the same show you know and love.

[00:02:02] And we are both, I think all three of us are excited about upcoming trips personally.

[00:02:08] Yeah.

[00:02:09] I have a trip coming up in June with Dan and Eric and all of the concierge.

[00:02:15] I think I mentioned it last time, but just in case you missed it, June the 9th,

[00:02:19] we will be at Disneyland Resort.

[00:02:23] We'll be in the parks the 10th and the 11th of June.

[00:02:25] And then the 12th, Dan and I will be at Knott's Berry Farm,

[00:02:28] followed by medieval times with Dan, Eric and Audrey from Scraping the Vault.

[00:02:33] So if you are in that area and you want to say hi or connect with us,

[00:02:37] please reach out.

[00:02:38] You know how.

[00:02:39] And if you don't, then if it's fate, we'll see each other.

[00:02:44] No, just keep showing up at medieval times and just keep saying,

[00:02:48] no, I've got friends joining me.

[00:02:50] I've got...

[00:02:50] That's right.

[00:02:51] I'm saving seats.

[00:02:52] I'm saving seats.

[00:02:54] Works for me all the time when I go to Disneyland by myself.

[00:02:57] Yeah.

[00:02:58] So I'm particularly excited.

[00:03:01] I had mentioned you've heard us talk for several years, folks,

[00:03:04] about various personal things.

[00:03:07] We don't try to get too deep into personal stuff other than just so you know us as people.

[00:03:12] I have kind of gone through a long back and forth with too much alcohol.

[00:03:17] And I gave it up December 17th, and I have not touched a lick since.

[00:03:22] And I'm awake for the first time in a very long time.

[00:03:25] And I'm looking around and some stuff I don't like.

[00:03:31] Yeah, it's like, oh boy.

[00:03:33] Number one, too many cars on the street.

[00:03:36] That's right.

[00:03:37] If I understand correctly, you wanted to make the rest of this podcast about the Lord?

[00:03:42] Is that...

[00:03:42] That's correct.

[00:03:43] I meant to mention I have found our Lord and Savior.

[00:03:47] And he has told me that all of the rest of you are here in this state.

[00:03:55] Disney adult who goes by themselves is a spawn of Satan.

[00:03:59] Damn right.

[00:04:00] So the point is that I have quit drinking and it's been an interesting sort of six

[00:04:06] months of discovery and awakening.

[00:04:09] And one of the things I didn't really have was something like to look forward

[00:04:14] to that wasn't work or just, you know, the day to day stuff.

[00:04:18] Right.

[00:04:18] And so I have since planned two trips to Disneyland, one with my family,

[00:04:24] one with my other family, one with my chosen family.

[00:04:28] And what I guess what's nice is this.

[00:04:32] Whatever you choose, Eric.

[00:04:35] But I guess what I'm excited about is, you know, I go to bed at night is a little

[00:04:40] harder part of the reason I drink so much is to go to sleep to shut off my brain.

[00:04:44] But now I've just kind of got this sense of comfort and excitement looking

[00:04:48] forward to these trips.

[00:04:50] Also going to Disneyland for the first time since I can remember and not

[00:04:55] feeling like I have to drink, which is a really good feeling.

[00:04:58] And I said I have to.

[00:05:00] And for those of you who may or may not struggle with alcohol, I think maybe

[00:05:03] understand what that means.

[00:05:05] Okay.

[00:05:06] I admit I every time we go, I will push Jimmy down into a park bench and I

[00:05:11] will pour beer into his mouth.

[00:05:15] It's really hard to see.

[00:05:18] Yeah.

[00:05:19] It is uncomfortable.

[00:05:20] There are tears.

[00:05:20] It's not even like frat boy fun.

[00:05:22] It's just unpleasant.

[00:05:23] No.

[00:05:24] Yeah.

[00:05:25] It's water.

[00:05:25] My mouth is closed.

[00:05:27] Basically water for Jimmy with.

[00:05:30] And if my mouth is closed, he finds other ways to get it in.

[00:05:33] That's right.

[00:05:33] Anyway, but I guess my point is I'm very excited about it.

[00:05:37] I'm looking forward to going and being there with friends, people I love.

[00:05:41] And yeah, I'm very excited.

[00:05:43] So that's in June.

[00:05:44] And then again in July with my family.

[00:05:48] So Dan, do you have any trips coming up that you're excited about?

[00:05:52] Oh boy, do I.

[00:05:53] I have a trip coming up this coming weekend for three days.

[00:06:01] Well, you shared.

[00:06:02] So I'll share.

[00:06:04] Oh, so yeah, some of the things that have been happening in the past month

[00:06:09] that we have been less productive.

[00:06:10] One of the things that again, we don't want to focus too much on our

[00:06:14] personal lives, but it's been brought up before that my dad had Alzheimer's.

[00:06:20] Little hint there.

[00:06:22] He no longer has Alzheimer's, which is the good news.

[00:06:26] And those of you who know how that happens can put it together that he is

[00:06:32] no longer with us.

[00:06:33] So yeah, people who have listened to every single episode and know about

[00:06:39] our lives and whatnot, which is probably like 12 people, you know,

[00:06:43] that that was how him and I connected.

[00:06:46] It was maybe the only way we connected.

[00:06:49] Other than our ridiculous sense of humor.

[00:06:54] It's Disneyland.

[00:06:55] Disneyland, yeah.

[00:06:56] So I'm going there and I am spending.

[00:07:00] I am spending some time remembering times that we spent there together.

[00:07:06] He was very patient with me and I appreciate that.

[00:07:11] Isn't it interesting, Dan?

[00:07:13] This is like a cats in the cradle podcast now because

[00:07:18] when I was a child, I'm one of five.

[00:07:20] I'm the youngest to five children and my dad would take each of the five

[00:07:23] kids on the trip to, you know, with just dad and the kid.

[00:07:26] And our trips were always Disneyland.

[00:07:29] What do you know about that?

[00:07:30] Eric, how about your father issues?

[00:07:32] Sorry.

[00:07:32] No, back to Dan real fast.

[00:07:35] So anyway, yeah, just any of you who have people, people have

[00:07:40] communicated that they appreciate me sharing that aspect.

[00:07:44] And yeah, it's been an interesting month.

[00:07:50] And that's I don't want to, I don't feel like I need to get further into it.

[00:07:57] For this.

[00:07:58] Well, thank you for sharing, Dan.

[00:07:59] We Dan's father was I, you know, when I was a teenager, I made

[00:08:04] questionable choices and Dan's father was very instrumental to me as

[00:08:09] an adolescent and I will.

[00:08:11] I never went to Disneyland with him, but I will always have very strong

[00:08:15] and very powerful, joyful memories of Dan's father.

[00:08:20] As I got older and as Dan and I started hanging out, in fact, the

[00:08:23] times that I spent with Dan's dad, Dan and I were not friends.

[00:08:27] And we didn't like each other.

[00:08:29] It's possible.

[00:08:30] Anyway, so then as Dan and I became friends, we of course

[00:08:34] became friends through Disneyland.

[00:08:36] We would have, we both had annual passes and amongst the few people

[00:08:40] that had them at the time.

[00:08:42] So we went together and then we, I won't get into more details, but

[00:08:47] the origins of scraping the vault.

[00:08:49] Anyhow, I would sleep on the couch.

[00:08:51] You can put it together.

[00:08:52] Yeah.

[00:08:53] You just did in scraping the vault.

[00:08:54] Right.

[00:08:55] Yes.

[00:08:55] Exactly.

[00:08:56] So listen to that show if you're curious what I mean.

[00:08:58] So I would sleep on the couch and Dan's house.

[00:09:01] Now this is his father's house and the couch is an old living room

[00:09:05] and it's just adjacent to the kitchen and we would stay up really

[00:09:08] late, make bad choices.

[00:09:10] And then his dad would come in for breakfast as one does and it's

[00:09:14] his house and he has the right to do so.

[00:09:16] And he would always do the same thing, make coffee and he would

[00:09:20] do some oatmeal and he would clink on the bowl.

[00:09:27] And I can't say anything because it's his house and I'm sleeping

[00:09:30] in his living room.

[00:09:31] Just clink, clink, clink.

[00:09:33] And it wasn't, it wasn't to try to wake you up.

[00:09:35] It was just, I'm not even going to, I'm not going to change anything.

[00:09:39] No, it's my house.

[00:09:40] I'm doing what I do.

[00:09:41] I do me.

[00:09:43] But God bless him anyway.

[00:09:45] He will be missed and thank you for sharing Dan.

[00:09:49] And in fact, a parting gift from Dan's dad is Dan, Eric and I are

[00:09:54] taking a tour of the, tell us Dan that Lily Bell and what else?

[00:10:00] We're going on a railroad tour together funded by

[00:10:06] what was left, part of what was left behind by dad.

[00:10:11] And this is also a part that I'm giving myself gifts this weekend from him

[00:10:16] and in like memory.

[00:10:18] It's something ridiculous, but you know, like I'm going to the

[00:10:21] wall department.

[00:10:22] You would want me to do that.

[00:10:23] Of course.

[00:10:24] Yeah.

[00:10:25] And I know that he would if he were here and thought of it,

[00:10:33] he would absolutely pay for the three of us to go on a tour of the Disneyland

[00:10:39] Railroad, which includes a ride.

[00:10:42] I think maybe a ride, possibly just a tour of the Lily Bell.

[00:10:46] I don't really know much more about it, but that's something that's going

[00:10:50] to be happening and maybe we'll work into it, work it into an episode or something.

[00:10:55] Oh, that'd be great.

[00:10:55] I think we should infect Eric will be bringing recording equipment so I can

[00:10:59] almost guarantee listener that there will be some content from the Lily Bell

[00:11:03] and or that tour on one of the future episodes.

[00:11:07] And Eric, do you have any trips that you're excited about to Disneyland or Disney World?

[00:11:12] Do it's all you see I don't have the rich, the rich history here with Disneyland

[00:11:18] or with you two, but where your dad.

[00:11:21] I do have a rich history with my dad.

[00:11:23] Yes.

[00:11:23] But not at Disneyland.

[00:11:24] Not at Disneyland.

[00:11:25] No, he's never been there.

[00:11:27] Oh my God.

[00:11:28] That's right.

[00:11:28] Rich right there.

[00:11:29] There you go.

[00:11:31] We didn't know that it that Disneyland existed really.

[00:11:34] It was like, oh, they cut to that weird small castle on the Christmas special.

[00:11:40] Who's standing at the weird one this year?

[00:11:43] But yeah, you know, Dan, I I I hope you you get some good

[00:11:50] some good feels and some some good times out of your next trip coming up.

[00:11:54] Walt's apartment was great.

[00:11:56] I'm looking forward to our trip,

[00:12:00] which will be this will be it'll be fun.

[00:12:03] Jimmy and I well, this is going to be the second time we'll be going

[00:12:07] to Disneyland dry because I did that a few years ago due to some liver issues

[00:12:14] that have resurfaced.

[00:12:16] And so I'm taking some time off a drink and two.

[00:12:19] It's all.

[00:12:20] So it's a day.

[00:12:22] It's super boring.

[00:12:23] Yeah.

[00:12:25] So yeah, I guess between all of this listener, if you've been wondering why

[00:12:32] we have been kind of loosey goosey with the release schedules on all of our podcasts

[00:12:38] and whatnot, there you go.

[00:12:41] Okay.

[00:12:44] Speaking for myself, I'm in a very good place.

[00:12:48] Arguably the best place that I've been mentally for a long time.

[00:12:51] So I'm back.

[00:12:53] And we're working on it.

[00:12:55] I know you've heard that before, but I think we'll get back to a more

[00:12:58] regularly scheduled programming.

[00:13:00] And then we're going to get into this appellate process, you know,

[00:13:02] especially after a Haunted Mansion reopens with the new queue and

[00:13:05] everything else and Tianna's opens.

[00:13:07] We have to do an episode about that.

[00:13:08] So things will continue.

[00:13:10] And then we're going to have to go back and relitigate Space Mountain

[00:13:13] and some of the other stuff that we started the show with before

[00:13:16] we really found our voices.

[00:13:17] So Eric, I'm excited to spend time with you.

[00:13:21] And Dan at Disneyland.

[00:13:23] It'll be really fun.

[00:13:24] You're just, you're both two of my favorite people and I'm very excited

[00:13:28] to spend it with you.

[00:13:29] So, okay.

[00:13:30] So moving on to Disneyland forward.

[00:13:35] Um, you know, I tried, I think I'd mentioned don't really want

[00:13:40] to make this a speculative podcast.

[00:13:41] This is not a news podcast, but it's a big deal.

[00:13:45] And moment in time snapshot in time, city councils approved it.

[00:13:50] And there's been some chat about Avatar and there's been some

[00:13:53] speculation of different properties for what's going where is it a

[00:13:57] third theme park?

[00:13:58] Is there going to be a third gate?

[00:14:00] What is the West side between the hotels going to be?

[00:14:04] So, Dan, I'm going to let you kind of tee this one up and kick

[00:14:07] it off of how this segment is going to go.

[00:14:11] So go ahead.

[00:14:12] What is Disneyland forward, Dan?

[00:14:14] Disneyland forward is a thing that they put together with Anaheim.

[00:14:22] We've talked about this before.

[00:14:23] So if you want to know the details, listen to previous episodes or look it up,

[00:14:28] we're going to get into the fun part, which is speculation.

[00:14:31] And I kind of floated this idea with the other two hosts who I don't know why

[00:14:40] I'm David and David and Ryan, those other hosts.

[00:14:44] No, you too.

[00:14:45] I don't know why my brain is not working currently.

[00:14:48] Basically, I want to try to...

[00:14:51] So one of the premises of this is that we have some ideas of what's going

[00:14:56] to be happening, some loose kind of vague.

[00:15:01] It's kind of the whole thing's kind of beyond Thunder Mountain at this point.

[00:15:06] All we really know is that they now have the ability to do whatever

[00:15:10] they want with the land.

[00:15:11] Right?

[00:15:12] And we know what the land, what the properties are, the physical land

[00:15:17] properties are that they're going to be dealing with.

[00:15:19] But nobody really has any firm idea of what exactly is going to happen.

[00:15:26] So I thought it would be fun for us to come up with very, very firm

[00:15:33] predictions about what we think will happen.

[00:15:37] Now by that, I don't mean that we're going to go down to like,

[00:15:41] okay, and then there's going to be a popcorn cart here.

[00:15:43] Like if there's vague space in your mind about what it's going to be, great.

[00:15:50] But like if you have any predictions, I think that this is going

[00:15:55] to go in this park or this part is going to become this.

[00:16:00] Make those firm predictions and we're sticking with them.

[00:16:04] So because there is no actual...

[00:16:07] There's nothing out there other than just they're doing Pandora.

[00:16:11] So, okay, where is it going to go?

[00:16:13] What's going to become of the toy story lot?

[00:16:16] Like some of the notes I have are like, they're going to put this there.

[00:16:21] And this is why.

[00:16:22] But I don't really have like what that entire space is going to be.

[00:16:27] So basically, like if you make a prediction, it is a firm prediction.

[00:16:32] But if you don't know, you don't know.

[00:16:35] And that's fine.

[00:16:36] And we can maybe go forward and think about whoever gets the most correct,

[00:16:40] get surprised.

[00:16:42] Some guy between the three of us, between the three of us or whatever.

[00:16:45] We can come up with something.

[00:16:47] So if you're going to set some ground rules, yeah, go ahead.

[00:16:51] Okay.

[00:16:52] First of all, I'm going to set a time limit on this discussion

[00:16:55] so we don't get too far down in the weeds.

[00:16:57] Okay.

[00:16:58] I'm not going to say what the time limit is, but I'm setting it.

[00:17:00] Thing number two is I would like to lay the premise that nothing happens

[00:17:08] at all until they build a parking structure.

[00:17:12] I would agree with that.

[00:17:14] Okay.

[00:17:15] They have to support this expansion and they cannot support the expansion

[00:17:18] with the current parking situation.

[00:17:21] So they have to build a parking structure first.

[00:17:24] So that's the first thing that's going to happen.

[00:17:26] Mm-hmm.

[00:17:28] Then we can, now we can start.

[00:17:31] So I have some, I'm going to make some broad statements.

[00:17:35] First of all, you said Avatar, that's a done deal.

[00:17:38] Right.

[00:17:38] I'm going to say that Avatar is going to go into the, it is the Toy Story lot,

[00:17:44] is the one that's south of Pixar Pier or Pixar Hotel.

[00:17:47] Oh wait, no, no, no.

[00:17:49] No, no, no.

[00:17:49] Sorry.

[00:17:49] Yeah.

[00:17:50] Okay.

[00:17:51] Is your thinking it's going to be part of DCA?

[00:17:53] Yes.

[00:17:54] Okay.

[00:17:54] I think that would be west of the park.

[00:17:57] The westward expansion of these parks in the concept art will not be its own theme park.

[00:18:02] They will be expansions of existing theme parks.

[00:18:04] Okay.

[00:18:04] Okay.

[00:18:06] Avatarland is going to go west of DCA and it'll be through a tunnel.

[00:18:11] They will dig a tunnel under all Mickey's Tune Town,

[00:18:15] all Galaxy's Edge in the, you know, the frontier land area.

[00:18:19] There will be a tunnel using Disney's age old go from small to big

[00:18:23] for the big reveal.

[00:18:25] Under the street.

[00:18:25] So under the street.

[00:18:27] So go under the street, theme tunnel again back to Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios.

[00:18:32] There will be a tunnel.

[00:18:34] You'll go from a small space to a big space for a big reveal

[00:18:37] and it will be virtually identical to the one in Florida.

[00:18:41] Okay.

[00:18:42] There's going to be a theme to all of my statements in that they will not do

[00:18:45] something new.

[00:18:47] They will only build what they've already built.

[00:18:51] Okay.

[00:18:52] So I'm going to start with that prediction.

[00:18:53] Okay.

[00:18:54] There will not be anything that they have not already built or are going to build

[00:18:57] at Disney World.

[00:18:59] Okay.

[00:19:00] So going forward with this conversation, do we want to go

[00:19:06] like acreage by like chunk of land by chunk of land?

[00:19:09] So you said with the thing about West of DCA, do you want to do the rest

[00:19:14] of yours or do you want to go?

[00:19:16] Yeah, may as well.

[00:19:17] So, so it's just only because I have very little.

[00:19:21] So, so the predictions are there will be, they will be expansions of the existing

[00:19:27] parks.

[00:19:28] They will not be a third gate West of the parks.

[00:19:31] Okay.

[00:19:32] So surrounding the hotels will be to the Southwest will be Avatar land and

[00:19:37] that will be its thing across from Disneyland, West of Galaxy's Edge,

[00:19:43] Splash Mountain, all of that will be Arundel and Coco and Kanto.

[00:19:50] Whatever they build at Disney World with respect to Coco and Kanto will be

[00:19:56] built at Disneyland and frozen Arundel like they did in Shanghai, like they did

[00:20:01] it, Disneyland Paris, it's going to be the same thing.

[00:20:04] Same attractions, same whatever.

[00:20:07] It's going to be the same because that's this version of Disney, you know,

[00:20:11] parks and resorts, they did it with Star Wars land.

[00:20:13] They did it with it.

[00:20:14] I don't think they're going to build a Toy Story land.

[00:20:17] West of Disneyland is going to be in Kanto, Coco and Frozen.

[00:20:21] Okay.

[00:20:23] Unrelated to that expansion, but I believe what is the lot inside of DCA called?

[00:20:31] Behind the what?

[00:20:34] It's an employer.

[00:20:34] Oh yeah.

[00:20:37] It's just a lot.

[00:20:38] I think it's you can't park there anymore.

[00:20:40] No, you can't inside DCA.

[00:20:42] Yeah.

[00:20:42] Inside DCA they will build Wakanda.

[00:20:44] It'll be a Wakanda outreach center.

[00:20:46] You know those ones they build all over the world.

[00:20:49] It'll be a Wakanda outreach thing.

[00:20:51] It'll replace whatever's back there, Hollywood, you know, beyond that stuff.

[00:20:55] Behind like the Hyperion.

[00:20:58] Yes, all that stuff is going to be a Wakanda outreach.

[00:21:01] Okay.

[00:21:01] Okay.

[00:21:03] Maybe get rid of the Hollywood back lot thing.

[00:21:06] That's going to be Wakanda outreach, whatever they call that.

[00:21:11] So it won't be a replica of Wakanda.

[00:21:13] It'll be some Wakanda and run outreach center like they have in San Francisco

[00:21:19] in the movies and whatever.

[00:21:21] Interesting.

[00:21:21] So building on, and so that was the only exception to what they haven't built before,

[00:21:26] which is Wakanda, which is probably the least likely to happen.

[00:21:29] But they're going to build Avatar land and it's going to look like Florida.

[00:21:31] They're going to build Frozen land, Coco and Kanto just like it is in

[00:21:34] Florida, the other parks, the end.

[00:21:37] Hmm.

[00:21:37] Any thoughts about since you're still on Jimmy, what are your thoughts

[00:21:41] on the Toy Story lot?

[00:21:44] I apologize with my ignorance, but where is the Toy Story lot?

[00:21:48] It's in an eye.

[00:21:50] Oh, oh, shoot.

[00:21:53] All right.

[00:21:53] Let me start over.

[00:21:56] Okay.

[00:21:59] No, the Toy Story lots, but like between the Pixar pals, Mickey and friends,

[00:22:04] that's right over there, right?

[00:22:05] No.

[00:22:06] Oh, in the Southeast side.

[00:22:07] The Southeast.

[00:22:08] Yes.

[00:22:09] I still think it's a water.

[00:22:10] Across Harbor.

[00:22:14] I know this is dumb.

[00:22:16] I'm sticking to it.

[00:22:17] It's a water park.

[00:22:18] All right.

[00:22:19] I'm sticking to it.

[00:22:20] I it's fascinating to me that that prediction that you keep making is sort of

[00:22:26] like it's like when Fresh Baked David keeps talking about how like, oh,

[00:22:31] they're going to get rid of the reservation system.

[00:22:33] Like why do you think they're gonna?

[00:22:36] It's adorable that you think that, but I don't know why you think that.

[00:22:41] I don't know that they will.

[00:22:42] Yeah.

[00:22:43] And I appreciate that you think it's adorable because my sense of this Disney

[00:22:52] company is that they are trying to make Disneyland into Disney World the best

[00:22:57] they possibly can.

[00:22:58] What do they have there?

[00:22:59] They have all the things I just mentioned and they have water parks

[00:23:03] and they have shopping, blah, blah, blah.

[00:23:05] I think it's going to be a water like Universal did a water theme park or

[00:23:11] whatever they call that.

[00:23:12] So it's it's a third gate.

[00:23:14] It's a water park.

[00:23:15] It's themed whatever that's what it's going to be.

[00:23:17] Oh, so you're saying are you saying like water slides, water park or?

[00:23:20] Yes.

[00:23:21] Okay.

[00:23:21] Okay.

[00:23:23] That is what I'm saying.

[00:23:24] Okay.

[00:23:27] My next thing before I'm done.

[00:23:28] Yep.

[00:23:29] When they build Avatar across the street south of the Pixar Pier hotel.

[00:23:37] When they do this.

[00:23:39] What are they now going to call California Adventure?

[00:23:42] Let me rephrase.

[00:23:46] They will rename Disney's California Adventure when they build Avatarland.

[00:23:50] Is it going to be, are you thinking a studio?

[00:23:55] That's where that's I'm gonna, I'm gonna rephrase it start from scratch.

[00:23:58] Say they are going to rename this theme park.

[00:24:01] You don't have a firm prediction.

[00:24:02] I don't know.

[00:24:03] Okay.

[00:24:03] That's fine.

[00:24:04] They will rename it.

[00:24:06] It already needs a read theme.

[00:24:08] I think that, and I know it's not my turn yet, but I, but on that point,

[00:24:13] I, I think that they're going to reframe California Adventure to be about

[00:24:18] adventures in a California park.

[00:24:21] I think they're going to embrace the vagueness of it.

[00:24:28] But.

[00:24:29] Adventures in California?

[00:24:32] No, I think it's going to stay the same.

[00:24:33] I just think that like the framing around it is, is going to be less about

[00:24:38] is going to be less about like, Hey, come visit California at Disney Park

[00:24:43] and more about like it's an adventure park in California.

[00:24:47] Okay.

[00:24:50] Like basically, yeah.

[00:24:51] Okay.

[00:24:52] It's your turn.

[00:24:53] I have a lot.

[00:24:54] Eric, do you want to go first?

[00:24:56] Maybe.

[00:24:57] Maybe I have a lot.

[00:25:00] Okay.

[00:25:00] Go on.

[00:25:01] Go on.

[00:25:02] Okay.

[00:25:02] Here we go.

[00:25:03] I think that the Toy Story parking lot is going to become a version of

[00:25:07] Fantasy Springs.

[00:25:08] I don't know if they're going to call it Fantasy Springs, but I think it's

[00:25:12] going to be in that vein and I think Pandora is going to go there.

[00:25:16] And I think Frozen's going to go there.

[00:25:18] I think they're going to have Peter Pan stuff.

[00:25:21] Well, wait, Fantasy Springs is, is a theme park land in Shanghai?

[00:25:30] Disney Sea, I think.

[00:25:31] Disney Sea, yes.

[00:25:31] Oh, see, I'm sorry.

[00:25:33] They, so it's, it's not Fantasy Land, it's Fantasy Springs.

[00:25:37] And there you are going to have, go ahead.

[00:25:38] Yeah, there's a third gate.

[00:25:41] I think it's a third gate.

[00:25:42] Okay, go ahead.

[00:25:43] And I think that the reason they put Pandora, Frozen and Peter Pan

[00:25:47] stuff in there is that Disney learned from the opening of DCA to

[00:25:51] avoid assuming people would go to a new theme park just because it's new.

[00:25:55] So they need big draws like Frozen and Pandora to give people a reason

[00:26:01] to visit like at least once.

[00:26:03] And I think Peter Pan's there to bring in some, some really solid.

[00:26:07] I think it's going to be like Pandora is like the adult adventure

[00:26:11] e-ticket stuff and then Frozen and Peter Pan is like the play areas.

[00:26:16] And I think we still get the Frozen ride.

[00:26:17] But does Peter Pan's flight in Fantasy Land stay all of Star Tours?

[00:26:20] Yes.

[00:26:23] Because I think that it's going to be, it's going to be a way,

[00:26:26] I'm thinking that they're going to try to think of as many ways

[00:26:29] as possible to draw people into this park using things that they

[00:26:33] already have. And at Fantasy Springs, they have a Peter Pan play area.

[00:26:37] I think that's going to be there.

[00:26:40] It's a property that's popular even though it's probably going

[00:26:42] to be problematic in about 15 years, but whatever.

[00:26:45] Has that ever stopped them?

[00:26:46] No, it hasn't.

[00:26:47] So they're going to do that.

[00:26:49] And I think Frozen is a big draw there.

[00:26:52] I think that the Garden Walk is going to suddenly need to sell

[00:26:58] to somebody and some kind of conveyance between Mickey and

[00:27:01] friends and the Eastern expansion structure, which I think is going

[00:27:05] to be called a Ventures parking structure.

[00:27:08] That's going to exist and Garden Walk will become like a free version

[00:27:12] of Main Street, meaning that like you could go and shop, but it's also

[00:27:18] going to kind of sort of unofficially operate as an entry statement

[00:27:24] for the third gate, meaning that the actual line to get in,

[00:27:30] the entrance will be over Catella.

[00:27:32] So you're kind of like using that dead space for dead things like lines.

[00:27:38] I think West of DCA, they're going to build a Silicon Valley area,

[00:27:45] which will contain an educational ride about communication in the

[00:27:49] vein of Spaceship Earth because it's high capacity, indoor, slow

[00:27:54] moving with animatronics.

[00:27:55] DCA needs that.

[00:27:57] And I think that they're going to build Tron in that area.

[00:28:01] And they can theme it directly to the movie because they go to a Silicon

[00:28:06] Valley place in the movie.

[00:28:08] I also think that the Tron nightclub experience will return.

[00:28:12] And I also think that this area, there's going to be more stuff,

[00:28:15] but these are the things I'm willing to commit to.

[00:28:17] I also think that this area is going to be very focused on

[00:28:20] festival food festival stuff because that's proven to be very popular

[00:28:25] at DCA, but it is also a crowd jamming nightmare.

[00:28:31] Okay.

[00:28:31] Can you can you start over with not start over, but where in DCA is this?

[00:28:36] What?

[00:28:36] DCA across, I think there's going to be a bridge across.

[00:28:41] Across the under.

[00:28:42] Across the under because California is the one.

[00:28:45] No, they're going to build a ride.

[00:28:48] They're not going to build a structure of Spaceship Earth.

[00:28:51] They're going to build a ride similar to the ride content of Spaceship Earth,

[00:28:56] but maybe not like communication concept or the technology concept.

[00:29:00] Right.

[00:29:00] Maybe not like deep history, but the theme is going to be communications and

[00:29:04] technology because it will be an omnimover.

[00:29:07] Yes.

[00:29:07] 100%.

[00:29:08] Okay.

[00:29:09] So festival arena, all the Epcot with you.

[00:29:13] I, he lost me at Tron too big.

[00:29:15] I think that that's how we get Tron because we're not, it's, I don't know

[00:29:20] how you could get it in Tomorrowland.

[00:29:23] And we, I think, I think we know it's coming.

[00:29:26] And I think that if you, if you make it about like kind of like where the

[00:29:31] movie starts, where it's like, we're breaking into this place and now, oh no,

[00:29:34] now you're in the world of Tron.

[00:29:36] That is a perfect way to get Tron into DCA.

[00:29:41] It basically make it not about like this is a futuristic ride and make it

[00:29:45] about, you know, computers are scary now.

[00:29:50] And yeah, food festival.

[00:29:51] I think that Pixar hotel will connect as an entry and exit only to this part

[00:30:01] of the park.

[00:30:03] And I suspect it's going to be more of a nightlife-y, more like adult

[00:30:09] forward kind of thing, not like, you know, Daisy can have like her boobs

[00:30:13] or everything like that.

[00:30:13] But like, you know, like, like more like this is, this is a place to

[00:30:17] hang out for adults to like, you know, dance the Tron dance club and do

[00:30:23] whatever they do.

[00:30:24] And this is all going to be south of the Pixar hotel.

[00:30:27] They're not going to change the theme of the Pixar hotel into this adult

[00:30:31] history of communication.

[00:30:32] No, because I'm part of the speculation is that the Pixar hotel

[00:30:38] kind of matches the Silicon Valley idea.

[00:30:42] I think there might be a, there are, I don't think the whole place

[00:30:44] is going to be Silicon Valley, but I think that this will be included.

[00:30:48] And I think that that's where we get Tron.

[00:30:49] And I think that that's how we get our entry into the Pixar, the gateway

[00:30:56] into and out of Pixar hotel because Silicon Valley.

[00:31:00] Yeah, it's like there's a connection.

[00:31:03] Where's Avatar going?

[00:31:05] Avatar is going to the third park.

[00:31:10] Oh, you said Avatar frozen Peter Pan.

[00:31:14] Yeah, Pandora frozen Peter Pan.

[00:31:16] Avatar is there.

[00:31:17] They don't have enough room.

[00:31:19] There's a lot more room than you think there.

[00:31:21] Yeah, the the Toy Story lot is

[00:31:26] I read today 50 50 acres smaller than DCA.

[00:31:32] Yeah, I think it's going to be a small, I think it's going to be

[00:31:36] kind of a compact park, which is why I think they're going to put

[00:31:38] some of the big stuff in there, big in terms of like heavy hitters

[00:31:42] really attractive like Pandora frozen Peter Pan player.

[00:31:46] I think it's going to be it's it's going to be like a lot of a lot

[00:31:50] of bang for your buck in that.

[00:31:53] I'm changing my mind.

[00:31:54] What if they finish?

[00:31:56] Well, hold on.

[00:31:56] I'm just I'm just interjecting because what you said.

[00:31:58] OK, move.

[00:32:02] To Toy Story, that becomes your shopping time.

[00:32:04] That's your Disney Springs.

[00:32:06] And then all the stuff that's existing now is expansion

[00:32:08] theme park the end.

[00:32:09] Go ahead.

[00:32:10] I think that that we get our shopping area by Disney buying Gardenwalk.

[00:32:16] I think Gardenwalk is going to suddenly have a family emergency.

[00:32:20] All of their grandparents are going to die and they're going to be like,

[00:32:22] oh, my dog get my homework and all my grandparents said, oh no,

[00:32:25] we never planned for this.

[00:32:26] And then Disney's going to be like, well, I guess we have to take this opportunity.

[00:32:33] So West of Disneyland, I have less.

[00:32:37] But I think it's definitely going to connect to the Disneyland hotel

[00:32:43] only for hotel guests.

[00:32:46] And I think that there will be.

[00:32:50] I suspect that they are going to say and Kanto and Coco have to go together

[00:32:54] because clearly they're the same thing.

[00:32:56] They're not the same.

[00:32:57] Well, the reason I thought that too, Dan was and this I don't know,

[00:33:01] whatever the sound like, they were the same thing.

[00:33:04] No, that I thought that they would build Coco and Kanto also

[00:33:08] because there's a lot of.

[00:33:11] Like America influences in Southern California used to be part of Mexico,

[00:33:14] etc. I think there's enough of a local appeal since it is a local's park.

[00:33:19] Oh, I completely agree with you.

[00:33:21] Is racist. Is that my sound?

[00:33:22] Right. I mean, the one that's said in Mexico.

[00:33:25] Oh, no, Coco is Coco is.

[00:33:28] And that's why so where I'm going with this is I'm thinking like, OK,

[00:33:33] we're coming from Critter Country into this new area.

[00:33:37] Right. So what would make sense to me thematically

[00:33:42] would be to then have in Kanto because it's all you have foresty, foresty stuff.

[00:33:47] And then you could go to jungle, you foresty stuff.

[00:33:50] And that's how you get to in Kanto.

[00:33:52] And I want to resist saying that Coco will also be there

[00:33:56] because I don't want to imply that they're both Mexican.

[00:34:01] But that's the way this company thinks about these properties.

[00:34:03] So Coco will probably also be there, but I'm not going to commit to that part.

[00:34:08] I am going to commit to in Kanto being West of Disneyland.

[00:34:14] And I think that they're just going to deal with that by making it kind of

[00:34:17] Adventureland Part Two, like it's just going to be more jungle,

[00:34:21] more foresty stuff, more because Adventureland in terms of like

[00:34:26] making more jungly themed stuff, they're stuck.

[00:34:28] They can't do anything else.

[00:34:30] And this gives them more space to do that kind of theming stuff.

[00:34:36] And all of the oh, I think also why didn't I put this in my notes?

[00:34:42] I'm so I remember.

[00:34:44] I think, oh, here it is.

[00:34:45] The bad parts of Hollywood area will become Zootopia,

[00:34:48] meaning the back lot area.

[00:34:50] It's going to be Zootopia land.

[00:34:52] Why do I think this because they have the monorail

[00:34:54] and the monorail is a problem for whatever goes there.

[00:34:57] And in Zootopia, there is a monorail.

[00:35:00] So done, fixed.

[00:35:02] And I think that they want to build a Zootopia land

[00:35:05] because the Zootopia characters are already in DCA as photo ops.

[00:35:11] And I think that monsters is going to go away

[00:35:14] because it's not that good of a ride.

[00:35:16] They all know it's not that good of a ride

[00:35:17] and they can replace it with something better.

[00:35:20] And let's see what else they have.

[00:35:23] I also think this is the final thing I think.

[00:35:26] Black Panther Wakanda ride will be the e-ticket,

[00:35:29] the new e-ticket for Avengers Campus.

[00:35:32] Because they have nothing.

[00:35:34] They keep changing their minds.

[00:35:36] They got nothing.

[00:35:37] They know they want to include Wakanda.

[00:35:39] This gets them there.

[00:35:40] And I like Jimmy, your idea of them doing

[00:35:43] like a Wakanda outreach center.

[00:35:46] Maybe they build behind.

[00:35:48] Maybe they build some of that behind Marvel,

[00:35:52] Avengers Campus.

[00:35:53] But I don't think that we're going to have

[00:35:56] like Hollywood land

[00:35:59] and then Avengers Campus.

[00:36:00] And then Avengers stuff on either side.

[00:36:02] I think we're going to have...

[00:36:04] I think that Hollywood Drive is going to become

[00:36:06] kind of an extension of the entrance

[00:36:09] to where like you still have the animation building,

[00:36:11] you still have the Hyperion,

[00:36:12] but everything else gets changed into Zootopia

[00:36:16] on one side and more Marvel stuff on the other side.

[00:36:20] So it sounds like we're aligned in that

[00:36:22] everything you're proposing with the exception of the...

[00:36:25] Well, I'm going to say with the exception

[00:36:27] of the spaceship Earth concept of the communication thing

[00:36:30] is like I said, all properties that they've

[00:36:34] already built somewhere else.

[00:36:35] Right. Well, but the spaceship Earth thing.

[00:36:38] And again, I'm not saying they're going to build the giant globe,

[00:36:41] but the spaceship Earth concept,

[00:36:44] that kind of ride has been shown to be,

[00:36:47] you know, a reliable popular thing to do in other parks.

[00:36:51] And DCA really means...

[00:36:52] But it's a nostalgic thing.

[00:36:54] I mean, part of the allure of spaceship Earth

[00:36:57] is because it's

[00:36:59] spaceship Earth.

[00:37:00] It's inside the weenie of the park

[00:37:03] and it's been there for decades and it

[00:37:05] right, but OK, so it breaks down and let me explain

[00:37:09] how I got there and maybe that would make sense.

[00:37:11] How I got there is I am looking at what does DCA need

[00:37:14] and DCA needs more long form experiences.

[00:37:19] They need more animatronics

[00:37:22] because they have like maybe one animatronic in the whole park.

[00:37:25] And this is a way for us to get there.

[00:37:27] You use a concept that is already proven and already exists.

[00:37:31] Maybe you don't go through the whole history of communication.

[00:37:35] We don't have like papyrus, but I think it'll be

[00:37:38] thematically adjacent to like a spaceship Earth kind of thing.

[00:37:44] And I think that having it

[00:37:45] and the reason I think it'll be communications

[00:37:47] is because I think that that's going to tie into the Silicon Valley area,

[00:37:51] which is how we get it basically starts with.

[00:37:53] How do we get Toronto DCA? OK, well, Silicon Valley exists.

[00:37:57] Why don't we have Tron be part of a Silicon Valley experience?

[00:38:00] And that way, the way that you get through the pre-show

[00:38:04] is a different experience.

[00:38:06] You're like breaking into the factory or whatever.

[00:38:09] And then you go, you get sucked into the world of Tron,

[00:38:11] just like the original movie.

[00:38:13] And then all of a sudden, no, no, you have to get shot out of a can or whatever.

[00:38:19] I think I think that's how we get to Tron.

[00:38:21] And then I kind of added in the other thing of like, OK, well,

[00:38:26] we also need something that is air conditioned and can take 15 to 20 minutes

[00:38:31] of people in a ride, slow conveyance like.

[00:38:35] And that's that's basically how I got there,

[00:38:37] because it wouldn't be hard for them to just go like,

[00:38:39] I don't know, build a flat spaceship Earth, basically.

[00:38:41] Yeah, they need a lot of geography.

[00:38:44] So question, will they take a page out of the Epic Universe book

[00:38:50] and be able to block off these sections for corporate parties and that kind of thing?

[00:38:55] I mean, just by the geography of it, I think that's a given.

[00:39:01] Yeah, I suppose that would be Eric.

[00:39:03] We we're coming up against my time limit.

[00:39:08] You have anywhere between one and 12 minutes.

[00:39:13] It's your turn.

[00:39:15] What do you think is going to happen?

[00:39:16] And why am I right?

[00:39:24] Damn, you guys.

[00:39:26] I was about to start playing the Dan is rambling music.

[00:39:29] Anyway, here's here's what's here's what's what's up.

[00:39:33] Similar to what you were saying, Jimmy, we need parking

[00:39:36] part of one of the early one of the earlier releases

[00:39:40] while they were while Disney was kind of pushing Disneyland forward

[00:39:44] was an eastern parking structure.

[00:39:46] I say we take the Pumba parking lot.

[00:39:49] We we throw together one of the biggest parking structures they've ever made.

[00:39:53] And hey, you know what's right south of there?

[00:39:56] It's this garden walk place that nobody cares about.

[00:39:58] Dan's got some great ideas there.

[00:40:01] I enjoy the idea of that suddenly people have been talking

[00:40:05] about Disney buying this longer than I've been going to Disneyland,

[00:40:08] which is not a long time.

[00:40:10] But still, it's suddenly downtown Disney Part Two.

[00:40:14] And that's the direct way to get into the new third gate,

[00:40:19] which I'm kind of on Dan's side there with with the the Fantasy Springs,

[00:40:25] where we put in these properties that are, you know,

[00:40:28] maybe we can make it a little more or a little more kidlike.

[00:40:31] It's definitely going to be popular, popular stuff.

[00:40:35] If you've seen the Hong Kong and the Hong Kong

[00:40:39] World of Frozen and if you've seen images

[00:40:42] of what they're working on with Fantasy Springs,

[00:40:45] it's a perfect way of building a new like artificial

[00:40:48] berm around the outside of this this area.

[00:40:51] One of the issues that I've heard about from a few different places

[00:40:55] is that there are noise considerations,

[00:40:58] because there were there were there were these noise studies

[00:41:01] that Disney was doing about a year ago.

[00:41:03] I think we talked about it on the ears up where they were

[00:41:07] basically seeing how much how noisy certain rides were

[00:41:10] and how far away they were from certain things.

[00:41:14] So I believe there were some concessions made as part of Disneyland

[00:41:17] forward that would include noise, which means anything

[00:41:21] that's close to a neighborhood can't be noisy.

[00:41:25] And there are certain restrictions about how far away

[00:41:29] attractions have to be from residential places.

[00:41:32] So some of these areas are perfect because it's not

[00:41:36] residential, it's hotels, it's businesses.

[00:41:38] We don't have to worry about putting something crazy

[00:41:42] in that back corner that like you're talking about Jimmy

[00:41:44] where you wanted to put the Wakanda Welcome Center

[00:41:47] because you've got hotels nearby.

[00:41:50] You've got Cattella Avenue, you've got Harvard.

[00:41:52] Like that doesn't that doesn't matter.

[00:41:55] What you do have to worry about is the south end

[00:41:57] of the Toy Story Lot where there are homes.

[00:42:00] You have to worry about the far west side where there are also homes.

[00:42:05] I say Toy Story Lot becomes more of of the the small it's

[00:42:13] it is a smaller space, but we cram in some smaller attractions

[00:42:17] clustering toward the center or in the the northwest side.

[00:42:21] You still want to draw people in.

[00:42:22] So you still have to have something down there.

[00:42:24] So something indoors.

[00:42:25] Maybe that's where you get the world of frozen stuff

[00:42:28] where you can simulate a cold environment indoors.

[00:42:31] That sort of idea.

[00:42:33] Let's see. Heading across the way, I love expanding

[00:42:38] taking taking all of the Hollywood stuff and making it New York.

[00:42:44] Make it New York City.

[00:42:46] Expand New York City.

[00:42:49] Get a rope.

[00:42:51] I don't know how the Carthage Circle works there, but

[00:42:55] expand the Avengers stuff so we can have this.

[00:42:59] We can finally build out the ticket, whatever that's going to be.

[00:43:03] But then expand into the other region over there

[00:43:06] where we've got the Hyperion Theater.

[00:43:08] We've got Mike and Sully to the rescue.

[00:43:10] We've got large buildings that they sometimes use for something.

[00:43:16] We've got plenty of space in that area for more more Marvel stuff.

[00:43:21] So basically, we've got a Marvel mini park

[00:43:23] that's more than just one restaurant,

[00:43:26] a few a few food carts and some shows.

[00:43:30] Dan, one part of that part of what we're not mentioning

[00:43:35] to is that where the buses come in currently on that east side,

[00:43:41] north of currently monsters,

[00:43:45] that they don't need that anymore because they can have all of that

[00:43:48] in the eastward eastern gateway.

[00:43:52] You know what they have instead?

[00:43:54] You know what they have instead in that area, Dan,

[00:43:57] in that chunk of the Esplanade?

[00:43:59] Yeah, what's that?

[00:44:00] He's thought of this.

[00:44:01] I have thought of this.

[00:44:02] Given this thought. Yes, I have given this thought.

[00:44:04] What they have instead is a Skyway station,

[00:44:09] Skyliner station.

[00:44:10] Skyliner.

[00:44:11] So the Skyliner can bring people directly from

[00:44:15] the eastern parking structure across

[00:44:20] across Harbor to get directly out of the Harbor problem.

[00:44:23] So you can still access Harbor, right?

[00:44:25] Or you could walk through the new downtown.

[00:44:27] You can walk through downtown Disney East to access the third gate.

[00:44:31] Oh, yeah.

[00:44:32] You can also take the Skyliner all the way across downtown Disney

[00:44:37] to the Disneyland Hotel and all the wonders down that way.

[00:44:41] Now, before we move from the east side,

[00:44:45] you know what we could do?

[00:44:46] Let's we I guess we're we're investing in

[00:44:50] in Autopia, so we're probably not going to get rid of Autopia.

[00:44:54] You know what we can get rid of is a large circular building

[00:44:58] and get my favorite thing in Tomorrowland.

[00:45:02] How dare you?

[00:45:03] The large circular building with nothing to do in it.

[00:45:06] And a a pizza place that we can we can figure something to do with.

[00:45:13] We could put a thrill ride like Tron

[00:45:16] into Marland right there.

[00:45:19] It can go over the Autopia.

[00:45:21] It can weave around that whole region.

[00:45:24] We don't have to worry about a thrill ride being close to the neighborhood

[00:45:27] because across the street is hotels.

[00:45:29] Yeah, it's brilliant.

[00:45:32] That's where Tron goes.

[00:45:34] It's not completely my idea.

[00:45:36] I've heard I've I've I've heard many wild rumors, but that's the one I like.

[00:45:41] West side.

[00:45:42] I just out of curiosity, how wild of a rumor is that that you've heard?

[00:45:47] I'm not I'm not trying to like debate it.

[00:45:50] I'm just trying to figure out where like where are you hearing this?

[00:45:53] I have heard Wild Rumors, the one that makes me go, oh, crap, that could work.

[00:45:58] Is from the Disney History Institute.

[00:46:03] Interesting because Todd because Todd James Pierce knows his stuff.

[00:46:06] OK, and if he thinks he's he's the one that was talking about

[00:46:11] on his most recent episode about the noise restrictions

[00:46:15] and how far away people like residential areas had to be from certain things.

[00:46:19] So that would take care of that.

[00:46:21] And that was his that was his theory.

[00:46:23] And I'm I'm grabbing onto that one.

[00:46:25] I think that's fantastic.

[00:46:27] No, because I've heard other people come up with like

[00:46:31] random stuff like, hey, we could put we'll put Tron somewhere in Tomorrowland.

[00:46:35] I think that's the reason why you put Tron in Tomorrowland,

[00:46:38] though, that's a reason why you make it work.

[00:46:40] Dan, I love your idea of going of expanding under under Disneyland Drive,

[00:46:45] which is one of the Disneyland Drive Magic Way,

[00:46:49] which are roads that Disney is trying to buy from the city of Anaheim

[00:46:54] and going underneath through Critter Country into another kid area.

[00:46:59] I think you could have a whole, I don't know,

[00:47:02] do you I'm not exactly sure what you would expand to there,

[00:47:05] but it would be it could be the Zootopia area

[00:47:08] that they've that they're already building elsewhere.

[00:47:12] Again, Jimmy, I love the idea of we've got to repurpose

[00:47:15] these attractions that we're doing around the world.

[00:47:18] It's cheaper, it's easier and put it into this small space

[00:47:22] that's currently that's currently parking for hotels.

[00:47:26] We've got new places for people to park for hotels.

[00:47:29] We've got this this these giant parking structures to the north

[00:47:32] and we've got they could develop a public transit way to get around now.

[00:47:39] I like the skylining or skyline our idea just because it's easier to install

[00:47:43] their big pylons. It's really easy.

[00:47:45] You don't have to expand the monorail geography. Right.

[00:47:48] Right. It's why they're not going to expand the monorail.

[00:47:51] Walt Disney World, they're it's too expensive to do the monorail.

[00:47:55] But you could I like the idea.

[00:47:58] I think there's a possibility that they could add a spur of the skyliner

[00:48:02] that goes to Coronado Springs, making that a real hotel

[00:48:07] that people want to stay at and then going all the way out to animal kingdom.

[00:48:10] I think that's a definite idea for the future.

[00:48:14] But I don't think they'll ever go to Disney Springs, but that's another story.

[00:48:17] Yeah, that is another story.

[00:48:19] I'm not sure what to do with the Southwest.

[00:48:21] I haven't there's there's got to be something to do that's more

[00:48:26] kid stuff for for DCA because we can expand the kiddy stuff for Disney land.

[00:48:33] DCA, you're right, Dan, it needs more animatronics.

[00:48:35] It needs more dark rides.

[00:48:37] It needs more things to do and going in that direction,

[00:48:41] you're heading toward a neighborhood.

[00:48:42] So it's got to be indoors and it's got to be insulated from from the neighborhood.

[00:48:48] I don't I don't know exactly what they could do there,

[00:48:51] but I think having some more kid themed things would be maybe that's

[00:48:54] where they put the Zootopia stuff because that looks like big,

[00:48:58] big buildings around the outer edge of that read of that area

[00:49:04] from the video.

[00:49:04] So I mean, to your point, Eric, we know they're doing avatar.

[00:49:08] We know that that parking lot is going away.

[00:49:11] We know where's that parking lot's going away.

[00:49:14] And that show building in Florida is all enclosed.

[00:49:18] Mm hmm. That's that's where it's going.

[00:49:20] Maybe that's what I was.

[00:49:21] Yeah, maybe that's where I originally thought about that because one of the

[00:49:24] reasons I really think that avatar isn't going into DCA is because we have soren.

[00:49:31] But that didn't stop them from building web sling.

[00:49:35] Just man, Dan, it was it was done before it finished before you finish the sense.

[00:49:39] We could also put avatar past past Critter Country.

[00:49:44] I mean, it doesn't seem like it's going to be a big area.

[00:49:47] It seems like from everything I've heard, it's going to be a way of the water

[00:49:51] attraction, which means it's going to be a boat ride indoors.

[00:49:55] All right.

[00:49:55] Well, we are you thinking they don't bring five flight of passage as part of it?

[00:49:59] I think they absolutely do.

[00:50:00] I don't think they do.

[00:50:01] I think they do a completely different.

[00:50:03] I mean, have you seen Flight of Passage?

[00:50:04] How much footage is there that is in that movie, the way of water?

[00:50:08] There's so much way of water footage in there.

[00:50:10] That's true. There is a lot, but I think they're going to do.

[00:50:12] And it's a movie.

[00:50:13] So you just changed the movie.

[00:50:15] Yeah, but I don't know.

[00:50:18] I think I think they do.

[00:50:19] I think they do a boat ride.

[00:50:20] Well, they'd have one in Florida too.

[00:50:22] I suppose it's lame and it's right underneath the other.

[00:50:25] I'm just saying they're doing the same thing.

[00:50:27] They're going to say it is a massive building.

[00:50:31] It is. We did try to map that up before.

[00:50:33] And just for the listener and we're

[00:50:36] we're done minutes over our time for the listener.

[00:50:40] The Eric, you said that someone told you

[00:50:43] that the Toy Story Lad is 50 acres smaller than DCA.

[00:50:48] DCA being a 60 acre theme park, so it's 10 acres.

[00:50:51] What?

[00:50:51] Fifty acres and you're right down the number wrong.

[00:50:54] I think so because I think DCA maybe 45 acres.

[00:50:57] Maybe I wrote down the wrong.

[00:50:59] Maybe 15 is the number.

[00:51:04] Anyway, pass show correction.

[00:51:05] Yeah. OK. No, we're not going to pass show.

[00:51:08] Correct that because I'm not going to look it up.

[00:51:10] OK, great.

[00:51:12] Anyway, so I think that that was fun.

[00:51:14] Thank you. And did we have any closing statements?

[00:51:17] Anything new that has come up since we've been talking for the last 35 minutes?

[00:51:21] My closing statement is that

[00:51:25] I love Avatar.

[00:51:27] It's my favorite movie. Great.

[00:51:29] You're not alone.

[00:51:30] I watched The Way of Water last week.

[00:51:33] Hey, yeah, we've got some mail.

[00:51:36] We have a mail bag of mail.

[00:51:40] Hey, what's up, everybody?

[00:51:43] It's time for the mail bag of mail.

[00:51:46] That's where all the mail goes in the bag.

[00:51:48] And then I close the bag and then I open the bag.

[00:51:51] And now I'm now the bag is closed.

[00:51:52] You see it's closed and I'm going to open it up.

[00:51:55] And look what we have in here.

[00:51:57] We have a letter.

[00:51:59] It's a handwritten letter with lipstick kisses on it from

[00:52:05] Toy Soldier Mike.

[00:52:07] He says, hey, Jimmy, thanks for reading my mail.

[00:52:10] Last episode.

[00:52:11] I'm a little confused, though.

[00:52:13] I listened to 117 episodes.

[00:52:15] Have we done that many episodes?

[00:52:17] Yeah, more than.

[00:52:18] Yeah, this is.

[00:52:19] Wow.

[00:52:20] Where's our hundredth episode?

[00:52:22] Episode. Great question.

[00:52:24] Over the past three plus months,

[00:52:27] but I haven't heard a new one in a few weeks.

[00:52:30] I thought you came out with a new episode every day.

[00:52:32] Anyway, stay safe out there and be kind to one another.

[00:52:36] Fresh baked.

[00:52:37] He has a big share of fresh baked guy doing that.

[00:52:40] Fresh baked salute.

[00:52:42] That's from Toy Soldier Mike.

[00:52:44] That is that's all I got in the.

[00:52:47] What do you have to say about that?

[00:52:48] I think we kind of covered that, right?

[00:52:49] I think we covered the reason why

[00:52:51] than not some new episodes.

[00:52:53] But thank you for your loyalty, Toy Soldier Mike.

[00:52:56] Eric, there was another message about love.

[00:53:00] Yes, there was.

[00:53:02] There was a message about love because I've been talking to

[00:53:06] Mike is now a mail bag of mail.

[00:53:08] That's right.

[00:53:10] Dupie.

[00:53:14] There we go.

[00:53:15] And you have been talking to Mike about being on the hub crawl

[00:53:18] and we'll eventually get the schedule worked out where he will be on that.

[00:53:21] But he did refer to T.S.R.

[00:53:23] as his long lost love.

[00:53:27] We love you too, Mike.

[00:53:28] We sure do.

[00:53:30] Everybody else thinks I'm talking to you, but I'm talking to you.

[00:53:35] OK, thank you.

[00:53:36] There goes.

[00:53:38] Goodbye.

[00:53:39] All right, so for our final topic today,

[00:53:42] I would like to talk about some small things that are different

[00:53:46] between Disneyland and Disney World and perhaps what's better between the two.

[00:53:52] And one thing that kind of kept coming up

[00:53:54] and we talked about it a little bit, but I want to talk about condiment stations.

[00:54:00] You really ran with this.

[00:54:02] Yeah, so Eric was recently at Disney World.

[00:54:05] You've listened to the last couple of episodes, you know,

[00:54:08] while he was there, he was vehemently

[00:54:11] photographing condiment stations for those of you who have never been to Disney World.

[00:54:16] Go to I think of Tomorrowland Terrace, right?

[00:54:19] But make it is that what it's still called Galactic Grill?

[00:54:22] Galactic Grill at Disneyland.

[00:54:24] Yeah, at Disneyland.

[00:54:25] Yeah. So put that in a giant building

[00:54:29] with a robot animatronic from Unorq City.

[00:54:35] They've listened to the episode they know.

[00:54:37] Yeah. So, you know, you're getting your burger at the Galactic Grill

[00:54:42] and you go get a ketchup packet or mustard or mayonnaise or whatever.

[00:54:46] You go to the let's call that a equivalent at Disney World in

[00:54:51] Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

[00:54:53] And in addition to those condiments that you have in pump stations,

[00:54:58] you also have shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes

[00:55:02] and onion and grilled onions.

[00:55:05] Is this more than just Pecos Bill?

[00:55:09] Yeah, I like the grills.

[00:55:10] Got I mean, Pecos Bill's going, Eric, shut me down.

[00:55:13] I hate to break it to you, Jimmy, but break it.

[00:55:18] We got we got we got to break it down here

[00:55:20] because currently the condiment station is it's the same

[00:55:25] stainless steel structure with the sneeze guard over it.

[00:55:28] But inside it's a bunch of that there's a sad there.

[00:55:33] There are two sad pumps of of ketchup

[00:55:37] and then a whole bunch of containers of packets of mustard,

[00:55:41] mayo relish, armor. Yeah.

[00:55:44] The the the veritable lettuce pickle station.

[00:55:48] I want to do a current show correction, though,

[00:55:50] because what you're describing, Jimmy, is not really so much

[00:55:54] of condiment station as it is a fix in station.

[00:55:58] Fix and excuse me. Yeah.

[00:56:00] But you don't have those.

[00:56:01] The real who's who've watched you sped it down.

[00:56:04] That's fi-exense fi-exense.

[00:56:07] Have you seen this show?

[00:56:08] So I have not.

[00:56:10] Eric, so having recently been and forgive me

[00:56:13] because I thought it was still there,

[00:56:15] I know covid did away with a lot of stuff, but I thought it came back.

[00:56:17] Are there fi-exense stations anywhere at Disney World?

[00:56:21] Not not exactly at the polite pig in down in Disney Springs.

[00:56:28] Some barbecue sauce.

[00:56:29] They do have a multi-pump multi-barbecue station.

[00:56:32] Multi variety. Yeah.

[00:56:34] Yeah, there's there's a large variety of pumps.

[00:56:37] You can have everything under the sun like barbecue ranch.

[00:56:40] There's southern gold sweet sauce.

[00:56:45] I can't read some of these porter sauce.

[00:56:48] OK, made with with beer.

[00:56:51] And there's even a pump for mayonnaise.

[00:56:58] And I bet they have tapatio and we could make manatee.

[00:57:01] Oh, we sure can.

[00:57:01] They do have they do have hot sauce right next to it.

[00:57:04] They so they don't have tapatio, but they have a

[00:57:06] did you make it over to Pekos spills, Eric, before it becomes Tiana's?

[00:57:09] You know, I did not go into Pekos spills this time.

[00:57:12] I didn't think about about witnessing their fix.

[00:57:15] Because I think they did away with the fix and station there too.

[00:57:19] They have salsa and whatever in packets.

[00:57:21] Are there no more fi-exense stations?

[00:57:23] Man, everything I saw was just bowls of packets.

[00:57:27] Even outside Casey's, they just it was just bowls of packets.

[00:57:31] Well, never mind then.

[00:57:33] How do we feel about the proximity to the shopping district?

[00:57:36] Let's Disneyland forward being speculative.

[00:57:39] Let's talk about what's today.

[00:57:40] The shopping district at Disneyland is right outside the gates.

[00:57:44] Do we like that better or do we like to have that separate on a bus

[00:57:47] in a shopping district that's by itself?

[00:57:51] It makes it a destination like you have to set us

[00:57:54] unless you're staying at Saratoga Springs or

[00:57:57] or maybe one of the good neighbors, like Porter Leans,

[00:58:01] one of or one of the good neighbors.

[00:58:03] Yeah, for if you're not staying there for us, it's like this is the night

[00:58:07] we're going to make sure we go to the springs and get some dinner

[00:58:10] and do our shopping afternoon flight on Saturday.

[00:58:12] We're going to go there in the morning. Right.

[00:58:14] That sort of thing. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:58:15] So do you like that better?

[00:58:16] I think it depends on where I I don't think it's a one

[00:58:21] fix for either because I think that the way it's set up

[00:58:25] just works for each one.

[00:58:28] I don't have an answer that I don't think I have an answer

[00:58:30] because like to me, taking a bus to a shopping district

[00:58:35] is depressing and I don't want to do that.

[00:58:39] But but that's purely because of I think where I'm coming from.

[00:58:42] To me, did we already do an episode on Genie Plus Land View World?

[00:58:47] I don't believe so.

[00:58:49] You mean Genie Plus?

[00:58:50] Oh, no, we haven't. We have not done that.

[00:58:52] Yeah, because we definitely want to do an episode about the apps,

[00:58:54] my Disney Experience versus Disneyland app and their user friendliness.

[00:58:59] But one of the things I was talking to my kids about because we're,

[00:59:02] you know, my oldest went to Disney World with this band in February

[00:59:06] and he hasn't been to Disneyland since, I don't know, two years ago.

[00:59:10] One of the things we talked about going, we're going for two days.

[00:59:13] We're staying for three nights at the Disneyland Hotel at the new tower.

[00:59:16] And, you know, we were talking about proximity

[00:59:18] and I asked this question to my family, like, what are things that you like better or worse?

[00:59:22] And the thing about Genie Plus at Disneyland

[00:59:26] is that you could be at it's a small world riding that ride,

[00:59:31] have a lightning lane for in credit coaster

[00:59:35] on the other side of an other theme park.

[00:59:38] And you could be there in 10 minutes.

[00:59:40] True. And so just that again, size is size.

[00:59:43] Let's just take size out of the equation.

[00:59:45] But the proximity of these things and how much more efficient Genie Plus is

[00:59:50] and how much more worthwhile it is because you have access to all of these

[00:59:54] attractions and such a small proximity makes Genie Plus a much more useful,

[00:59:59] much more valuable for your money.

[01:00:01] Yeah. Yeah. I think

[01:00:04] of course we never will come up with a conclusive answer, which one's better?

[01:00:08] Right. But I think if if there's a theme that's emerging here,

[01:00:13] I think it really comes down to are you going to be on vacation for seven days

[01:00:18] or are you going to a theme park for two or three?

[01:00:21] And and I think that if you're going on vacation for seven days,

[01:00:26] don't go to Disneyland, go to Southern California.

[01:00:28] If you're going or go to Disney World and don't do anything else

[01:00:34] because you can do that if you're but if you're just theme park

[01:00:38] in for two or three days, Disneyland is that's a great amount of time to do that.

[01:00:43] Anymore and just go to knots.

[01:00:46] We had this conversation a little bit with with David on our last episode

[01:00:50] of how long should you go to Disney World?

[01:00:52] And coincidentally, two days later, I had a client refer their in-laws.

[01:00:58] They've only been to Disneyland, their West Coasters.

[01:01:01] They've only ever been to Disneyland, never been to Disney World.

[01:01:03] They call me what should we do?

[01:01:05] How long should we go?

[01:01:06] For what kind of concierge?

[01:01:08] Oh, what is concierge, Jimmy?

[01:01:10] So concierge is a vacation planning service where you pay no extra.

[01:01:13] We'll do all the planning for you.

[01:01:15] I've booked their flights for them.

[01:01:16] I've booked their vacation package.

[01:01:19] I'm doing their dining reservations.

[01:01:20] I'm doing a full touring plan for them who've never been to Disney World before.

[01:01:23] They're staying at the Swann and Dolphin.

[01:01:25] I'll give you an example.

[01:01:26] I said, you know, the best place to say they're in their 70s, right?

[01:01:30] They've never been to Disney World before.

[01:01:31] They're only Disneyland people.

[01:01:33] And so I presume they're going to like Epcot best.

[01:01:37] So I said you should stay behind Epcot Beach Club,

[01:01:40] Yacht Club, Boardwalk.

[01:01:42] It's swolfin'.

[01:01:43] So I said the boardwalk is great.

[01:01:45] Like Beach Club, Yacht Club, probably too expensive for what you really want.

[01:01:49] They're their deluxe resorts.

[01:01:50] Boardwalk also a deluxe resort, but less expensive because there are more rooms, right?

[01:01:55] Supply and demand, etc.

[01:01:56] So I looked at a package for them and I said, first of all,

[01:02:00] you want to go to the parks for five days.

[01:02:02] This is your first time.

[01:02:03] If you want to see everything go for a month, if you want to get the good

[01:02:07] gist of Disney World, like I really experienced Disney World.

[01:02:10] But man, there's so much we didn't see.

[01:02:12] Go for five days, dedicate one day per park, still park hop,

[01:02:16] but just dedicate one day per park.

[01:02:18] There's four and then have a fifth floater.

[01:02:21] Right.

[01:02:21] So get there on a Sunday, leave on a Saturday, spend Monday through Friday at the parks.

[01:02:26] Stay behind Epcot.

[01:02:27] We looked at the boardwalk and it was $6,200 for them to stay at the

[01:02:32] boardwalk, standard room, standard view, five day park hopper passes.

[01:02:37] That's pretty nice.

[01:02:38] And then I said, so 60 they were like, great, that sounds good.

[01:02:41] Let's book it.

[01:02:42] And then I said, okay, now the wife in this scenario said, how do we avoid kids?

[01:02:49] And I said, you don't go to Disney World.

[01:02:52] And she said, well, I've been around kids.

[01:02:54] I used to teach whatever I just don't want them in my face all the time.

[01:02:56] I said, okay, well what you do instead, $6,200 is in your budget.

[01:03:01] That's great.

[01:03:02] So let's look next door.

[01:03:03] Literally next door is the Swann and Dolphin.

[01:03:05] They're merry up properties.

[01:03:06] They're on Disney property.

[01:03:08] You have the same access to Epcot.

[01:03:10] You have the same access to Hollywood studios on the Skyliner or the

[01:03:13] Friendships or whatever.

[01:03:15] It's a nice room, recently renovated.

[01:03:17] The Dolphin Hotel is a Sheraton property.

[01:03:19] You can stay there at the same amount of time, same views, same access to

[01:03:24] the boardwalk, same access to everything else.

[01:03:26] It's $4,200.

[01:03:29] So they were able to save $2,000 because I understood them as people.

[01:03:34] I understood what their needs are.

[01:03:35] And because it's a convention hotel, there will be less children just by

[01:03:40] nature of the property.

[01:03:42] So anyway, that's kind of an advertisement of concierge.

[01:03:46] Just once we get to kind of know what you're into, what you want, we just

[01:03:50] saved them $2,000.

[01:03:51] Their flights total round trip or $1,000.

[01:03:54] So before they, after they buy food and whatever else, they'll end up

[01:03:58] having a vacation that will have cost them the same amount as just the

[01:04:03] hotel and theme parks if they were to stay at the boardwalk, which is 200 feet away.

[01:04:08] Anyway, don't remember what the original point was.

[01:04:10] Well, while you're thinking of the original point, I just want to point out

[01:04:13] to our listeners that because we are two out of the three of us are pretty

[01:04:18] sure that Garden Walk is going to be purchased by Disney.

[01:04:21] That means that you have a short amount of time to visit such stores as

[01:04:25] Factory Extreme Clothing Store where you can get knockoff.

[01:04:30] How dare you?

[01:04:31] Uh, knockoff studio gear.

[01:04:36] St. Press.

[01:04:37] Sorry.

[01:04:37] S Preston Art and Designs.

[01:04:40] Primrose Market Boutique.

[01:04:45] Yeah, yeah.

[01:04:47] Formosa gift shop.

[01:04:49] Mystical gifts and souvenirs.

[01:04:52] All my tea.

[01:04:54] King Coffee.

[01:04:56] 528 Design Studio.

[01:04:59] It's a do it yourself shop, according to Google Maps.

[01:05:03] Argo Store, it's where you can get pet supplies.

[01:05:06] You know, Argo for it of it.

[01:05:08] Meeple's Family Game Store.

[01:05:11] Ride Makers Toy Store.

[01:05:13] I believe that there's probably stuff with marbles there.

[01:05:16] Case Mac Wireless.

[01:05:19] Eric, where you like different Castles?

[01:05:21] New World and Disneyland.

[01:05:22] Have you thought of any?

[01:05:23] An ATM machine.

[01:05:26] ATM machine.

[01:05:28] Oh, an ATM and access to money machine machine.

[01:05:31] Yes.

[01:05:33] Eric, have you thought of any small differences between Disneyland and Disney World?

[01:05:37] You want to highlight?

[01:05:38] He's ultra-louch.

[01:05:43] It's hard to believe that that property is going to go out of business.

[01:05:46] Right?

[01:05:47] Very yeah.

[01:05:48] Yeah, all those, those, including places like Ride Makers that used to be

[01:05:53] that's with a Z that used to be in downtown Disney and got through it.

[01:05:57] Yeah.

[01:05:58] So did House of Blues?

[01:06:01] Dan, remember Roy's Hawaiian Fusion?

[01:06:03] Pineapple martinis at the bar?

[01:06:05] Yep, I won't say anything more about it, but I do remember.

[01:06:07] I was the interestingest night of hailing the taxi.

[01:06:10] Anyway, Eric, what small things have you noticed?

[01:06:14] You just recently went to Disney World.

[01:06:15] You've spent more time at Disneyland of late.

[01:06:17] There's also Liberty X Bitcoin ATM.

[01:06:20] Oh, geez.

[01:06:22] Can you get Bitcoin out of that ATM?

[01:06:25] Maybe, let's see.

[01:06:26] That'd be fun.

[01:06:28] Head on over, Dan.

[01:06:29] Eric, hop on that train.

[01:06:31] I mean, really, we've kind of talked about a lot of this recently.

[01:06:35] You know, it was, it was fun shepherding David and his family through

[01:06:41] the Walt Disney World app.

[01:06:42] And it was fun talking to Concier Mike who hasn't been to Disneyland

[01:06:50] in many years and is planning for this trip that's coming up in a few weeks

[01:06:54] and telling him things about the Disneyland app where he's like,

[01:06:59] Sue, why don't, what do you mean you guys don't bring magic bands?

[01:07:02] I'm like, well, you can, but nobody really does.

[01:07:04] And vice versa with David.

[01:07:07] I mean, we'd be, yeah, we talked about all that stuff with David,

[01:07:10] but it was, it's now fun having the opposite conversation with Mike

[01:07:13] where he runs a travel company.

[01:07:16] And some of these details he hasn't had to deal with personally.

[01:07:19] He's like, this is why I have Disneyland experts on staff.

[01:07:23] I don't, I don't do those anymore.

[01:07:25] So we'll need to do a an app versus app.

[01:07:29] Yes, we'll do an app episode.

[01:07:30] We'll do a Disney or a Genie Plus episode.

[01:07:32] We will do a part of the conversation that I asked my family about these differences.

[01:07:37] My wife brought up refreshment corner versus Casey's corner.

[01:07:41] I love basically glorified hot dog stands.

[01:07:44] Oh, it's gonna be great.

[01:07:45] I can't wait for that one episode.

[01:07:47] The U of D Express ramen in Garden Walk has three stars.

[01:07:53] Jimmy suggested Wishing Wells.

[01:07:55] I like the Wishing Wells.

[01:07:57] That might be a fun little episode.

[01:07:58] I don't know if that's a full episode, but no, because,

[01:08:02] you know, spoiler alert, Walt Disney World, you might say, where is it?

[01:08:06] And he would not be wrong.

[01:08:09] That's correct. But there is one.

[01:08:11] There is one.

[01:08:12] You could put coins in, right? Somewhere like a.

[01:08:15] There is a.

[01:08:15] There's no snow.

[01:08:17] What is it?

[01:08:18] Everywhere, everywhere, there's a body of water.

[01:08:20] People are checking coins in there.

[01:08:22] Yeah, I don't understand the fascination with it.

[01:08:24] Yeah. But anyway, Dan, any other thoughts?

[01:08:28] Disneyland, Disney World differences on this specific topic,

[01:08:31] the shopping thing, I got nothing.

[01:08:34] But I don't know.

[01:08:37] I'm just fascinated by Garden Walk currently.

[01:08:39] I think you've lost me to that condiments.

[01:08:42] Brandy and I are our dinner people or lunch.

[01:08:46] We like to we like to go to restaurants and we like to shop.

[01:08:48] So we have difficult, depends on our trip.

[01:08:51] If we're alone, then we're going to spend a lot of time.

[01:08:54] And it's nice and easy to get to.

[01:08:56] I mean, you got to walk through downtown Disney

[01:08:58] if you're staying nearby.

[01:08:59] And and it's a little bit of a pain

[01:09:02] to get over to Disney Springs sometimes.

[01:09:04] You're there for a long trip and you want to devote hours.

[01:09:07] Yeah, five days.

[01:09:08] I'm just not a merch person.

[01:09:10] I mean, I don't know where this merch thing came from.

[01:09:13] I don't know that was never a topic.

[01:09:14] It's not necessarily merch like just shopping.

[01:09:16] We're just talking about the shopping in general adjacent.

[01:09:18] Yeah. Yeah.

[01:09:20] That doesn't have to be Disney merch.

[01:09:21] I don't think that's even that's that's not even a part of my part

[01:09:25] going into your house. Yeah, it really isn't.

[01:09:28] All right. We were talking about condiments.

[01:09:29] We were talking about shopping adjacent.

[01:09:31] We were talking about Genie Plus.

[01:09:32] Just little things like that.

[01:09:33] Is there anything that sticks out to you?

[01:09:34] It's like when you go to Disneyland, do you think, oh man,

[01:09:37] it would be nice if something, something Disney World.

[01:09:40] I think a variety of cuisine options.

[01:09:44] We could lose we could easily lose a hamburger place

[01:09:47] and have like a decent ramen, the ramen at the hotel

[01:09:51] sucks like an actual good ramen place. Right.

[01:09:54] You know, like stuff like that.

[01:09:56] All right. OK.

[01:09:57] Well, so does anybody do either of you have any other topics

[01:10:01] before we close up the old showbag?

[01:10:04] The showbag of show.

[01:10:05] I'd like to re-litigate the honomension right now.

[01:10:08] OK. OK.

[01:10:10] 1966 original concept art

[01:10:13] in 1956 showed a haunted house just off of Main Street.

[01:10:20] Buddy Baker was anyway.

[01:10:22] What do you think about the new

[01:10:24] the new honomension lounge on that they're putting onto the Disney treasure?

[01:10:27] Yeah, I think I don't follow the ships very well.

[01:10:30] I think that the more places they can put as many references as possible

[01:10:34] to my favorite ride, the honomension, because I'm an interesting person.

[01:10:39] It's it doesn't water down the property one bit.

[01:10:43] I say just put it everywhere.

[01:10:45] I want is this going to be the trader Sam's of haunted mansion?

[01:10:51] I think it's going to be more obnoxious because. Yeah.

[01:10:55] And is it also a proving ground for the theme parks?

[01:10:59] Oh, I think it might.

[01:11:01] Well, the treasure is supposed to be done

[01:11:03] and having its maiden voyage this winter.

[01:11:06] So I mean, they're going to have a fish tank with ghost fish in it.

[01:11:11] And there is going to be a mystery and they're bringing in the captain.

[01:11:15] If you know your mansion, Laura, you know,

[01:11:17] the captain was originally supposed to be a guy, the captain and his bride.

[01:11:23] They're pirates of the Caribbean bar across from pirates of the Caribbean

[01:11:27] at Disney World. That's a thing.

[01:11:30] All right. The final piece of speculation, Dan,

[01:11:33] Fantasmac is coming back. What is the dragon going to be?

[01:11:37] I think it's going to be the dragon. Same one.

[01:11:39] Well, different model.

[01:11:41] OK, I think I think that they they probably put some thought into how to

[01:11:46] close this thing and they thought we need to.

[01:11:49] And this is based on nothing other than just a tangent I went on last night

[01:11:54] because it occurred to me that I'm going to be there with the opening

[01:11:56] reopening weekend of Fantasmic.

[01:11:59] And those of you who have listened to every episode know how much I love that show.

[01:12:04] I think they probably went through a process where they were like, OK,

[01:12:07] we clearly need to clear up the charred remains of this Murphy

[01:12:11] and we need to come up with a whole new finale.

[01:12:14] And then, OK, well, that involves re-recording everything.

[01:12:17] And that involves like reimagining stuff.

[01:12:20] And it's going to it's like it's a big deal.

[01:12:22] And what do we get to replace this big moment?

[01:12:26] And they've said before, they're not they're going to reimagine it

[01:12:30] and they've heavily implied that it's not going to be any anything involving a dragon.

[01:12:34] And then we haven't heard anything.

[01:12:37] This thing's opening next weekend.

[01:12:39] If they had a replacement that we would have heard from Disney Parks

[01:12:44] and Imagination and Storytelling and Glorious Magic wishes,

[01:12:49] why we should be excited about this new thing?

[01:12:51] So you're saying we haven't heard anything.

[01:12:53] There's no hullabaloo.

[01:12:55] They're just going to have a water screen with a projection of.

[01:12:58] No, I think that they thought this through and they thought,

[01:13:01] what if we just like made everything fireproof

[01:13:06] and brought back Murphy in a fireproof version

[01:13:10] and let's like jam up the holes where they shoot the Cremora out or whatever.

[01:13:16] And if we don't say anything, people are going to lose their supreme

[01:13:22] when they see this thing return.

[01:13:24] And this is far better and probably more cost effective in the long run

[01:13:29] than reimagining this whole coming up with a new thing,

[01:13:32] reimagining it, disappointing people because people will be disappointed by it.

[01:13:38] I think this is the path of least resistance

[01:13:41] is just figure out a way to bring it back because we know this company

[01:13:46] if they were going to bring if they were going to change anything.

[01:13:49] Basically, it's either Murphy, miscreen of Murphy or nothing else

[01:13:55] because they were going to write.

[01:13:57] Yeah, but if but they've said before it won't be miscreened

[01:14:00] so they can't go back on that.

[01:14:02] OK, well, that still could be me be mode.

[01:14:04] Dan, maybe this episode comes out as you're listening to this.

[01:14:08] The Fantasmic is already open.

[01:14:10] So you already know what the show is.

[01:14:12] Yes. And it was wonderful.

[01:14:14] Yes. And as we're recording this, Dan, are the pirates gone?

[01:14:17] And is it back to Peter Pan?

[01:14:18] It's back to Peter Pan. OK.

[01:14:21] And they've already talked about that.

[01:14:22] But I really think I mean, you know this company,

[01:14:24] if they had come up with any replacement that was an action

[01:14:28] that was here all about it, we would have heard about like,

[01:14:30] you're not going to believe the way Tinkerbell,

[01:14:33] you know, gets a BBL and it bounces all over the stage.

[01:14:38] And Mickey fights her because I don't know.

[01:14:41] Like, maybe I hear Brazilian but left.

[01:14:45] OK, thank you.

[01:14:46] Oh, it's really they take fat from other parts of your body

[01:14:51] and squirt it in your butt.

[01:14:54] But it's more a medical procedure than what I just said.

[01:14:56] All right.

[01:14:57] Anything else about Fantasmic before we close it up?

[01:14:59] I've seen Fantasmic once.

[01:15:02] Hey, are we going to see it when we're together in June?

[01:15:04] Is it going to be open?

[01:15:05] It'll be open.

[01:15:06] Are they going to be showing it in the weekdays?

[01:15:07] Yeah, yeah, that summer.

[01:15:09] Oh, all right.

[01:15:10] It is a weekend.

[01:15:11] Let's do it. All right.

[01:15:12] Everybody listener happens.

[01:15:19] Listener, thank you for listening.

[01:15:20] Thank you for your patience with us as we sort through,

[01:15:22] you know, things that are unrelated to the show.

[01:15:27] And that's it.

[01:15:30] Concealers is eight, five, six hour years.

[01:15:31] You heard about the vacation planning.

[01:15:33] You too could potentially save money

[01:15:35] if you talk to the right people.

[01:15:37] They have a group of phenomenal vacation planners.

[01:15:39] Most of them better than me.

[01:15:41] But thank you for reaching out to me if you ever do.

[01:15:45] Thank you for the Rohrbach family for recently booking

[01:15:48] the aforementioned trip to Disney World.

[01:15:50] Don't I can't say the dates because they haven't told their kids yet.

[01:16:00] Scraping the Vault, the pent ultimate episode of whatever it was.

[01:16:05] What did you call that?

[01:16:07] The Fox and the Haltos just came out.

[01:16:09] Cinderella 3 is the next.

[01:16:11] The culmination of the podcast.

[01:16:15] And then Bantha Milk Boys and the puny pod.

[01:16:20] I've asked to be on the Thor Ragnarok episode

[01:16:22] because that was my introduction to the MCU in earnest.

[01:16:26] Wow.

[01:16:27] So I've requested to be a part of that episode.

[01:16:31] Yeah, and listen to Bowie Splaining

[01:16:33] also on all of your favorite podcast Catcher Apps

[01:16:37] and also listen to The Hub Crawl with our favorite Eric.

[01:16:41] Bowie Splaining, we just released our pinups album

[01:16:43] and Eric and I loved that album very much.

[01:16:47] And we introduced a new game.

[01:16:51] Excellent. The shapes of face.

[01:16:53] So listen to Bowie Splaining,

[01:16:57] Hub Crawl, Ears Up, Supreme Resort.

[01:17:31] And yeah, until next time, be good to each other

[01:17:33] and court is adjourned.

[01:18:06] We also might talk about.

[01:18:07] Oh, also after hours.

[01:18:09] Listen to after hours on the Patreon.

[01:18:12] Here's a Patreon we have after hours,

[01:18:14] which are a lot of fun.

[01:18:15] We eventually might get to talk about

[01:18:18] the Billy B's indoor playground.

[01:18:21] But first you have to join

[01:18:21] Patreon, which means you have to give Jason money,

[01:18:23] which is fine.

[01:18:24] You don't have to give five dollars

[01:18:26] and then you get access to after hours.

[01:18:31] I think Dan legit froze the second I hit the theme song.

[01:18:36] Oh, I thought he was just being contemplative.

[01:18:38] No, no.

[01:18:39] Your episode.

[01:18:41] I actually did after hours.

[01:18:42] Really, a lot of times we record before,

[01:18:44] so it's misnomer, but it's still fun.

[01:18:46] I'm telling you, don't tell that.

[01:18:51] Damn, I really hope he comes back

[01:18:53] because he really looks upload.

[01:18:55] He kind of looks a little disgusted.

[01:18:56] I'm talking.

[01:18:58] Yeah, a little bit.

[01:18:59] I'm here.

[01:18:59] A little disgusted.

[01:19:00] He's reading one of those one star reviews again.

[01:19:03] Yeah, we don't have a lot of them.

[01:19:04] We have, you know,

[01:19:06] scraping the vault only has five Star Wars reviews.

[01:19:09] Oh, good for them.

[01:19:12] Us.

[01:19:13] That's good for us.

[01:19:14] Scraping the vault.

[01:19:14] Now you're frozen.

[01:19:15] Yeah.

[01:19:15] OK, now you're back.

[01:19:16] Good.

[01:19:17] Well, good for it.

[01:19:17] Well, I'm not one of you.

[01:19:20] What are you coming on yours up?

[01:19:21] Scraping the vault here.

[01:19:22] Let me hit stop.

[01:19:23] Oh, am I actually.
