And so it was that they invited Tage yet again. Why Tage joined them, we'll never know. He's so cool. They drool. Drool. Pools. That rhymes, so let's go with that.
Pools. Pools. Put your hand up if you love to swim.
We finally get around to figuring out which pool is the best. You're welcome. I'm tired. Can you tell Erik wrote this one at 3am? Can you tell Dan wrote a bunch of songs? Now you can. Please tell your friends.
Good night. Also seriously, please tell your friends.

[00:00:15] Welcome to The Supreme Resort, Land v. World, a podcast about Disneyland and Walt Disney World and which is the Supreme Resort. Each episode we will discuss and explore each resort ride by ride, land by land, park by park to determine which is better. I'm your host, Jimmy, and thank you for joining me on this quest for the greater good of humanity to answer the long elusive question, which is better, Disneyland or Walt Disney World? Joining me as always is Dan.
[00:00:43] Hey, I'm Dan putting sunscreen in my eyes, getting ready to go. And Eric. Hello, I'm taking the sunscreen out of my eyes. I am also ready to go. And we have a special guest with us today as we do on all of our March insanity, third month throw downs. I think we decided to call it March mental illness. March mental illness. Thank you. That's good. Make it aware. Our guest host, you know him from DL Weekly, you know him from Hub Crawl, you know him as the person.
[00:01:14] You know him as the person who said that web slingers was the best cue at all Disney theme parks. I love that. That's Ted. Did I say that? You sure did. Oh my goodness. What was I smoking at? That was last year's brackets. Ted is joining us from all of those things that I just mentioned. Ted, we're really glad to have you back. Thanks for joining us for the salty 16. Yeah. So a couple things. One, cause you get, this is pools.
[00:01:42] I have a pool story that I just want to share quickly right off the top. All right. Not billiards. Just to be no like swimming pools. Okay. We were, oh, I thought it was a billy. We were eating lunch at the Tongaroa terrace on their little outdoor patio. We James and our exchange student Alex. And while we were waiting for our food to show up, they had evacuated or emptied the Disneyland hotel pool. And we're like, what's going on?
[00:02:09] Apparently if a duck lands in the pool, everybody has to get out of the pool and then they have to get the duck to get out of the pool. Well, there's a lady. What? Clopping two pieces of wood together, trying to get this duck to move. And the duck is like, I don't care. And somebody was finally throwing inflatable beach balls at the duck. And the duck also did not care, but it did poop in the pool. So, you know, there was that. And so it just stayed closed until the duck eventually decided I'm good and left. So pools.
[00:02:38] Peace out. Well, so why? Is it because it's a bird of, oh, birds of flu. Why wasn't this in After Hours? Why? Because it's related to the pool. So is it because of avian flu? I have no idea, but it was very funny to me to watch this lifeguard try to make noise and the duck was just like, you can make all the noise you want. I don't really care. Oh, my goodness. Wow. How much do you want to bet, Teg, that when people asked, they said something about Donald's
[00:03:08] cousin? Probably. Yeah. And to be fair, they had a kid throwing the ball and stuff and the duck just like moved and didn't care. It wasn't there with the whole family. It was just one duck. Just a duck. Oh, my goodness. He wanted the pool too. At least one of the children had already pooped in the pool. Who knows? That's fair. Well, that sounds like a fun experience. So that was one thing. You said two things. Oh, yes.
[00:03:33] The other thing is, as being the judge in this one, we're going to limit everybody's arguments to three minutes and I will be crazy. Oh, no. True, mayor problem. All right. Let's be clear. There are 16 pools that we're discussing. And just to bring Teg up to speed, we started with 32, including a wildcard bracket. The wildcard bracket was four good neighbor hotels at Disneyland Resort. Ooh.
[00:03:58] The Courtyard, the Howard Johnson, the Cambria, and the something else. Howard Johnson won. I was going to say, Howard Johnson's the only one here that I can see, right? Yeah. Yes, that's right. So you'll also notice that the Stormalong Bay is not in the salty 16. You'll have to listen to the previous episode to find out why, but it is not in this conversation because it would be unfair. I don't even know what that is, but great. Okay.
[00:04:27] Hey, let's spend 17 minutes talking about Stormalong Bay. DL Weekly. The DL stands for Disneyland, everybody. For your sake, Teg, the Stormalong Bay is the most coveted Disney World pool. Is it? It is at the Beach Club Yacht Club. There is a lazy river sand bottom pool. The mast of a ship is the slide. It's quite a to-do.
[00:04:53] And it's like when they did pool hopping, that was the only pool that you could not hop to. Interesting. Because it is so coveted. It's like a little mini water park. They make you check in with your magic band to show that you are staying at that resort at the Beach Club or the Yacht Club. Both resorts. Yes. But only those resorts, not the boardwalk. If it's such a popular thing, why did they not duplicate this at other resorts? Great question.
[00:05:23] And maybe they will. Okay. But for now. Thank you for the update. It's currently under construction. So we have four regions. They are the deluxe, the moderate, the DVC, and the value. We're going to start with the value and work our way up to the deluxe. All right? So in each category, there are four hotel pools that we have whittled it down to, starting
[00:05:50] with Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and the Howard Johnson. Can I ask a clarifying question about Howard Johnson? That is where we're going to start. Sir. Is this the pool or the water park, or both? It's both. Great question. It is both. Okay. Thank you. Good question. In general, we're talking about the pools at the resort. Now, for example, the Boardwalk Villas is a separate, technically it's DVC against the
[00:06:19] Boardwalk Inn. So the Boardwalk Inn pool is not in play. Sure. It already lost. So it's just the Boardwalk Villas. Okay. Which is a quiet pool. That's fair. Which we'll get to later. Why did that win? We'll find out. Disney's All-Star Movies Resort Pool. And there's three minutes start when I'm talking about that pool? I think first word's on. You tell me when you're ready to start and I will start the timer. All right. Go. Start it. All right.
[00:06:48] Disney's All-Star Movies has multiple pools. Main pool is the Fantasia pool, which is inspired by Disney classic Fantasia. This sprawling pool is home to a Sorcerer Mickey fountain, very much like you see in the movie. For the little ones, a smaller kiddie pool and water play area are located nearby. The Fantasia pool is located between the Fantasia building and Cinema Hall, where you have your food court and your check-in, etc. And then there's the duck pond. I was like, that wasn't even 30 seconds.
[00:07:18] Wait, Jimmy, you cut out for a little bit. You want to read what you said? Oh, man. I will pause your timer for 20 seconds. Which part? I thought that was funny, but. Can you hear me now? Or we keep it going and I will have to pause for the same amount of time when I go. Oh, man. Well, so did you hear. Good long breath. Fantasia pool. Sprawling pool. Something for the kids. All right, great. Then the duck pond pool. Go for a splash shot. Huh? Like the Mighty Ducks slap shot. Anyway. What?
[00:07:48] At this pool, based on the Mighty Ducks film series designed to resemble a hockey rink, this 105,438 gallon pool is the perfect place for families to relax and unwind before or after a visit to the parks. And then of course, there are poolside activities. Let's make a splash at Fantasia pool. Join us for a family friendly activities each day, like themed pool parties and other cool activities. Fun offerings include themed pool games, relays, trivia and more.
[00:08:17] That is the Fantasia pool at Disney's all star movies resort. Mm hmm. Uh, can I ask a question while you're still in your time? How long does it take to get from on average from a park to this hotel? Uh, I don't think this question is relevant. It is relevant. The answer is 37 minutes. The day swim. Okay. Thank you very much. Yeah, that's fair. Okay.
[00:08:46] Um, is this, this isn't, that is an estimate, but it is also, this resort is not a skyliner resort. Correct. That is correct. Mm hmm. What is the nearest? So we have to highlight a resort to this, the art of animation and pop. How close is that? Like, is it across the street? It's geographically not very far, but you can't get there without getting on a bus or a car. Now a fun little sidebar real quick while I'm in my three minutes.
[00:09:13] Uh, if you want to go to the restroom at the ducks, the mighty ducks swimming pool, as we've talked about, you go in the pool and that's just poop. First you go in the pool. Yeah. Uh, but these particular ducks are welcome. Um, and if you want to, if you're going to the boys room, it's Donald's. If you're going to the girls, it's daisies. Mm hmm. There's giant fire hydrants. For peeing on? Sure. Don't know why. I think that's to do with the theme of that. If you're a Pluto. Anyway, that's the all star movies. No, seriously.
[00:09:43] Answer my question. What? Yeah. Fire hydrants are, are themed to one of the buildings, like the Dalmatians building. It just happened to be coincidental in the shot of the mighty ducks pool. So you're surrounded by those ugly buildings. Got it. That's correct. Huh? I think you've been highly. The pool buildings, Dan. In an ugly way. Highly themed, but the water fountain is kind of cool. It's like that, that classic image of Mickey sorcerer, Mickey on the, the rock and the water splashing out.
[00:10:13] Uh, that's a perpetual still shot at the. Do they have a bucket? Is he peeing? There's no bucket. Okay. He might be peeing. One of the streams of water may be urine, but we don't. And that is time. Okay. Thank you. Okay. That's longer than I thought. Good call. Three minutes. I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to go ahead and start. The Howard Johnson is less than 37 minute walk away from the parks at this 37 resort. It is. Well, that's how long it took.
[00:10:43] 37 minutes. Average to get from a park. Reclaim my time. Uh, the pools are more than just a basic hotel pool. You have castaway Cove, which is a full fledged pirate themed water playground. Got multiple water slides, splash areas, water cannons, a bucket. Yes. It has the magical bucket that dumps water on everybody. Uh, it competes with, and in some case surpasses, uh, Disney's pools in theming and playability.
[00:11:10] If you disagree with that, you are disagreeing with chat GPT separate garden pool for all the old. It's a tranquil retreat where they can sit and talk about their stories and taxes and, and all the boring, but useful adult things that happen in life. Uh, Disney pools tend to be higher energy, but Hojo offers a separate relaxation pool for adults and older guests to talk about their medication, what their retirement plan looks like.
[00:11:39] All the things you do when you're around the old people pool. Yeah. It balances excitement with serenity. Unlike Disney's resort pools, which prioritize either high energy play areas or exclusivity. This is both. It's gotten maintenance and cleanliness that rival Disney standards. Uh, they got recent renovations that keep the pools fresh and modern. Uh, it's also family focused. It's max. It's designed for maximum fun. It's accessible and enjoyable for the younger kids.
[00:12:06] Uh, Disney's pools often, often require stronger swimmers for deeper areas. Castaway co's design prioritizes safe, fun water play for children with less restrictive policies. That's right. Disney pools can have strict lifeguard policies. They, the, the, the man keeps you down while you're trying to have fun with limited access hours, but Hojo. No, it offers for more flexibility and enjoying the pools without over enforcement. And, uh, by the way, I'm just going to put it out there.
[00:12:35] This is kind of a David versus the client situation. I'm going to say it. Yes, this might be this, this might be the underdog, but sometimes the underdog not only does win, but should win. Are you done? I have a lot to say, but I'm not competing against you yet. What? What do you yield your time? What? Uh, 45 seconds left. Okay. Then in that case, let me tell you a little bit about the truth that Disney doesn't want you to know. It's okay to yield your time. No, no.
[00:13:01] They want you trapped on their property dependent on their overpriced food and drink. They want you to spend less in the parks, more time relaxing at their over chlorinated corporate fish tanks. They want your kids tired, sunburned and begging for $12. What? Yes. Yes. Dan. Yes. I have a show to do on Wednesday. Okay. Like don't, don't, don't push it too far. Okay. All right. Uh, all right. You're at your 12 seconds.
[00:13:30] We're just going to yield the rest of your time. Okay. So is this where I pick between the two now and then we move to the next thing? That's right. Perfect. That's correct. I would like to put in my comments about both of these, having looked at pictures on the internet and actually experienced at least one of these, which is, um, there is a bias that I feel like I need to put out there. One is our exchange student, which funny enough, timing wise, we literally just got off a call of before joining this call to do this show. Um, what did you exchange him for?
[00:14:01] Uh, lots of gray hairs. Uh, great. He came over and was our first exchange student. And actually, uh, I got to know him in the pool area cause we hung out in the hot tub and that was our first like deep conversation together, uh, at the Howard Johnson. So there's a special place in my heart for that. Also full disclosure, we do partner with them for deal weekly. Uh, but that is not going to influence my judgment between these two pools. Just to put that out there.
[00:14:28] Um, I do think that the, the, the, the, the stuff that the Disney pool seems pretty cool. Uh, but there's nothing to me that stands out as like, oh, that's a really cool feature. Um, that's right. No bucket. Well, I'm, you know, the, the, the downside for the Howard Johnson for me is I always think that I hear the Disneyland railroad bell. But it's just the stupid bell for the bucket. So that like irritates me cause I always get excited and that's not what it is. But you can see the monorail.
[00:14:56] You can, which is wonderful, but that has nothing to do with the pool. And so warning you. So you don't get scared. But I also think Dan made a good argument that it is nice that the adult section, the, the regular part of the pool is separate from the kids section because you might want to have some private adult time. Now, the one thing that is interesting to me is the hot tub is in the kids area and the regular pool is just in the adults area. It seems weird that you wouldn't also have like a hot tub in the adults area. And I don't think they do have an adult, a hot tub in the adults area.
[00:15:26] I think it's just, I think it's so that the adults can like numb their senses while they watch their dumb. It's quite possible by the bucket. Um, they always seem to have a lifeguard on duty and, um, I've never had a problem with it seeming like it was over packed or anything like that. So between the two, even though it sounds like I'm being biased, I'm not, I will give it to the Howard Johnson. I'm fine. If you are, I just want to go on record. Oh, so, and I think also he did.
[00:15:51] And I think also Dan made the best point he made was that with all star, if you want to take a midday break, it's quite a track. Who takes a midday break? That is not going to be an argument that's going to win me over because you know what? Disney's expensive. I'm spending every damn minute I can in the park. I'm not coming home for a stupid midday break. It's just not going to happen. Okay, then. All right. Well, let's move on then. Howard Johnson's fired at Eric on that one. John's fired at a lot of people. A lot of people want a midday break.
[00:16:17] And I just don't understand it because I would rather stay in the park all day, even if I'm not getting on anything. I'd like to be in the atmosphere and, um, well, that's fair. I mean, Eric's too busy. My whole game is midday break. Yeah. But hey, let's listen to a quick song. Oh, everybody. Oh God, this is the... Oh, welcome dear friends. From the bullies. We all get into the mood.
[00:16:45] Where the sun hits the surface and the water just gleams. That's right. Eric's too busy rope dropping to go eat somewhere. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm rope dropping... Where is this song from? Right. A place for toast. Take a look. Oh no. I didn't write it. I nudged it. Is this like an AI song? Yeah. There's more than one. This is amazing. Let's put it that way.
[00:17:14] Yeah. Oh, there's more. But why is this playing now and not during the... That's a great question. It's a long story. Grand Floridian... Eric's high. ...bracket. Okay. Yes, I have a lot of drugs in my system. It's fine. We're gonna move on to Value East. Value East. Value East. They are the Disney's Art of Animation Resort and the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Now, mind you, that's not the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
[00:17:44] It is the Villas at Grand Floridian. Villas. Specifically. Specifically. Okay. Very specifically the Villas. Very different pool, very close to the other pool. So, Art of Animation Resort. We start at the time. Sorry, yeah, start at the time. Disney's Art of Animation Resort boasts three, count them, three themed pools. The massive big blue pool inspired by Finding Nemo, the cozy cone pool inspired by Cars,
[00:18:11] and the flippin' fins pool inspired by Little Mermaid. Each offering unique experiences and character themed fun. Fun fact, people at the Pop Century Resort will walk across the Generation Gap Bridge to the big blue pool. This is the largest pool in all of Walt Disney World, holding over 308,000 gallons of water and featuring giant set pieces of Nemo, Crush, and other Finding Nemo characters.
[00:18:38] It has a zero entry side, making it accessible for all ages. It is adjacent to the pool. In the middle of the pool, you'll find this schoolyard spray ground with interactive water features and squirts of Righteous Reef, a Nemo themed playground for kids who prefer to stay dry. The cozy cone pool inspired by the Cars movie. This pool features cone-shaped cabanas and a Cars themed perfect for families. You can relax poolside with a refreshing beverage or snack at the drop-off pool bar.
[00:19:09] A flippin' fins pool. This pool is inspired by Little Mermaid. Flippin' fins don't get too far, as you know. Features the under the sea orchestra conducted by Sebastian. Right, because legs are required for jumping and dancing. That's exactly right. Thank you, Dan. Oh, wow. I do not yield my time. The resort has a well-themed food court called Landscape of Flavors. That's nearby the big blue pool. The resort grounds feature giant statues of Disney characters, artwork, and merchandise from classic and contemporary Disney films.
[00:19:39] The resort has a kids' resort with cartoon characters, scenes, and statues from popular Disney and Pixar movies. Here's some hidden details. You ready for this, Teg? I am. The Lightyear tires next to Luigi and Guido are a reference to Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.
[00:19:58] The clouds on the buildings have a hidden Lightning McQueen in them, and the cozy cone pool area has Cars themed postcards and signs for Knights of Combustion playing off the Knights of Columbus organization. Oh, we all like that, yeah. That is the Art of Animation Resort pools. And with 40 seconds left, look at that. I'm efficient. All right, who's taking up the other pool? Eric is taking up the other pool.
[00:20:27] The villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, which by no means is a value resort. This is a DVC resort. It was valuable for us to put it in the brackets. It was valuable for us to put it here. The end. I don't mind having this discussion and wasting more seconds talking about this point. The beach pool, specifically the family pool.
[00:20:55] This is the beach pool that features a 181 foot long water slide and waterfalls that feed into the pool. There is a zero entry point nearby splash area for children. 111,261 gallons. This pool is weird shaped. Like a pond compared to mine. This pool has a weird shape.
[00:21:24] Okay? Okay. But yeah. 181 foot long water slide. The depth at the end of the water slide is three foot six inches. Cabanas are available for day rentals. $350 for the day. Huh? What do you think about that? Waste of money. Um, you can, you can, if you are a pass holder or a DVC member, you can get a 15% discount on, on this.
[00:21:53] Uh, so there are two padded lounge chairs, padded sectional couch, ceiling fan, smart TV with cable service fruit basket. If you don't schedule in advance, you might not get the fruit basket. Uh, mini refrigerator stocked with comfort complimentary sodas and water snack basket. Also, you need to schedule that one in advance. Um, towels. Sounds very bougie. There are towels, Jimmy towels.
[00:22:21] Everyone likes towels and a dessert tray with cupcakes and little cakes and parfaits and such. Uh, there's a waterfall feature at the pool. Um, this is part of the resort that is surrounded by the big pine key, Boca Chica and sugar loaf buildings. It's next to, and part of the Alice in Wonderland splash pad area that has a large bucket.
[00:22:49] Dan, it's the mad hatter's hat. That's the bucket that fills with water and it spills on your children. That would get soggy. That's stupid. It's not a, it's not a real hat. Okay, Dan. Um, also there is a cascading waterfall that comes from a teapot into a haphazard stack of teacups. There is the beaches pool bar and grill that is right there next door.
[00:23:16] Uh, it's the walk up location with tables nearby. There's plenty of food. I don't have enough time to go into all of the food lunches there until 6 PM. And that is your time. Plenty of time. That is my time. You both have made compelling arguments. I do have a followup question, uh, for Jimmy. The, the cones are those cabanas at the pool.
[00:23:45] The, uh, the like cones from, from the cozy cone. Yes, they are. Cabanas are pretty cool. Correct. Uh, I'm going to have to give this one to the art of animation resort because it actually has pretty decent theming. I would say even better than the Fantasia pool for sure. The fact that they integrated cabanas into the cones, super awesome. The fact that it's huge and brings other people over from the adjacent resort makes it awesome. Uh, looking at the grand Floridian for something that you're spending so much money on, I feel
[00:24:14] like it should have a much more grand opulent pool and it just doesn't. And the play area is just kind of meh. So that's the winner for me for that one. Excellent. Wonderful. Let's move right along. We're going to move to the DVC category. Ironically. The thing I just talked about. That's right. All right. So we're moving on to DVC North. That is the, uh, it's the Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Okay.
[00:24:42] Versus Disney's Boardwalk Villas. Eric, you go first. Boulder Ridge Cove Pool is technically listed as a quiet pool. It is themed like an abandoned mining quarry with rustic touches such as shaded seating. The max depth is four feet, 11 inches. It's, uh, rustic. There, there are a bunch of, um, boulders around the pool.
[00:25:12] Uh, there's a lot of distressed looking wood and metal. Very rusty. It, it looks like an old place. It's kind of cool. No lifeguards, which means that there, there are no rules in this pool. That means liberty. Yes. Liberty. Also, it means that for the most part, even though it is listed at a 7am to 11pm pool, you can pretty much go in there whenever you want. You just need to badge in.
[00:25:42] Like you need to have your, your magic band. You can go in. It's 24 seven. Really? It's just not posted that way. There are six covered areas. First come first serve. You don't have to pay for them. Seating is for about seven people on chairs with tables. You can get drink service there. You can get food service there. Any of the places that are in the resort, you can just bring food over there. It's fine.
[00:26:05] Uh, just walk past the copper Springs, uh, copper Creek Springs pool out the back of the resort. Take a right past geyser point, which is the pool lounge, which is where you're going to get that food and drink. Uh, and you're there. Uh, basically, uh, yeah, the it's a, it's a smaller pool. It's not very big. It's not very deep. It's a small pool after all, but it's calm.
[00:26:34] There are fewer people there. I am taking my time because I know I have time left. You don't need to use all. Eric, an argument is our point of this. Just looking at photos. Uh, it's very easy on the eyes and actually some of the photos I'm seeing at night look amazing. They, they, it's, it's awesome. I've been there at night and geyser point bar and grill is an excellent, excellent place to get some food and drinks. You can do your mug refills.
[00:27:03] If you have that for Walt Disney world, if you've got your, your free mug refills, uh, this place rules. The hot tub is also, uh, well placed kind of like a little secluded, uh, which I appreciate as well. It is pretty great.
[00:27:19] And you can also see from the hot tub, from the bar and grill, from the pool, the, um, very awesome, uh, electric, uh, water pageant that comes by every night. There we go. Hmm. All right. That is your time. All right. So the boardwalk villas have two leisure pools.
[00:27:45] Guests that are seeking a tranquil swimming experience can choose from two leisure pools. One is located in the Rose garden courtyard and the other is next to the community hall. Both pools feature whirlpool spas for added relaxation. Uh, the Rose garden pool has a life jackets and a hot tub. Uh, there's nearby restrooms there.
[00:28:12] Uh, there are showers and towels, Eric just wow. Towels. And it's quiet. And the community hall leisure pool also has life jackets and a hot tub and nearby restrooms. So you don't have to use the pool like Dan does. You said you do too. Come on. Private showers, towels, and a quiet. It's quiet. Those are the two pools. I yield my time. Holy crap. Here's the thing I'll say, um, before I yield.
[00:28:39] Um, from the Rose garden pool, it is very quiet. It's, you know, it's near the lunar Luna park or the crazy, you know, clown, former, uh, creepy clown pool. It is on the waterway. You are looking, you, you're looking sort of towards Hollywood studios. It's on the little waterway between Epcot and Hollywood studios. At times you can see alligators. It's fun. And you can see Swan and Dalton.
[00:29:05] Um, have you ever seen the former clown slide? Um, I have, I was looking at photos. Yes. The clown side is creepy. Yes. Yeah. Clown is gone. It's no longer there. So this one's pretty, it's a good slide. It's a very good. That's what's easy for me. It is a good boardwalk. Villas pool. Super boring. The only thing I would give to it is the fact that you can see the, uh, you could see tower of terror off in the distance, which is kind of cool.
[00:29:34] Uh, but, uh, yeah, the, the Boulder Ridge villas wins this one for like everything. Excellent. Moving on to DVC South. That is Disney's, uh, uh, Polynesian resort. I don't know why that's South, but anyway, uh, Polynesian resort. It's the northest. Uh, and Disney's Saratoga Springs resort pool.
[00:30:01] So Dan will go with the Disney's, uh, Polynesian, Polynesian village resort. Yes. Um, okay, here we go. Uh, the pools at Disney's Polynesian village resort by Disney, particularly the iconic lava pool offer the most immersive thematic and enjoyable aquatic experience on Disney property, combining rich Polynesian inspired design, prime magic kingdom views and high end amenities. These pools are not just places to cool off.
[00:30:30] They're essential to the Polynesian lifestyle that Walt Disney himself envisioned. Uh, the lava pool is not just a pool. It's a volcano volcanic island paradise. It's got 140 foot water slide through a massive volcano makes this one of Disney's most unique water features. It's got lush jungle landscaping, a cascading waterfall grotto that enhances the emergent. The Oasis pool offers a tranquil luxury retreat with smaller, more exclusive.
[00:30:58] It's it's smaller, more exclusive and tucked away from the main action. It features private cabanas and the Oasis bar and grill for a high end resort style pool day. So you can look at the pores, you can throw your, your, your, your ice at them and say, ha, you're here too. That's weird. I don't know why I just did that. Polynesian pools design aligns with Disney's commitment to storytelling and magic and memories.
[00:31:22] Every other deluxe resort resort pool is a hotel pool with some theming at the Polynesian. The entire pool area feels like an extension of the South seas experience. It is the best view of any pool at Walt Disney world. You can lounge in the pool and watch the magic kingdom fireworks. Disney actually pipes in the soundtrack to the pool deck. There's no other Disney resort where you can watch fireworks from a hot tub.
[00:31:52] I don't know if that's true or not, but that's what the, my notes say direct views of the seven seas lagoon, make it feel like an actual island escape. Other resorts try to make you try to feel like destinations, but the Polynesian succeeds because it actually sits on the water. Compare this to the grand Floridian where the vibe is more, is more rich aunt's backyard wedding. Take that Jimmy. I yield my time. Good thing. I'm not arguing for grand Floridian. No, but you got married there. It's fair.
[00:32:22] Did I, it's your fault. And you watched the fireworks from the magic kingdom from there and contemporary and whatever. Anyway, it's hot tub. It's from a hot tub. I don't know if it's true or not, but Hey, I got a lot of IPs to write. So I'm just. All right.
[00:32:41] So Jimmy, Disney Saratoga Springs resort and spa boasts multiple pools, including so many pools, the high rock springs pool and water slats. The pool has a water slide, zero depth entry and a Donald Duck play area, as well as the paddock pool with 146 foot water slide and a horseshoe shaped whirlpool spa. Here's more detailed look. High rock springs pool.
[00:33:07] This is the resort's main pool featuring 128 foot long water slide, gushing waterfalls, a zero depth entry and a Donald Duck play area with bubbling jets and a miniature water slide. The paddock pool. This pool has 146 foot long water slide that flows from a top, a water tower and a gently sloping zero depth entry pool. It also features a horse shaped horseshoe shaped water pool whirlpool spa.
[00:33:35] I'm not even going to mention the treehouse villas pool, which is a quieter, smaller pool, whirlpool spa or the Congress park pool that has a playground, a whirlpool spa. I'm not going to mention it and a barbecue grilling area. And I'm not even going to talk about the grandstand pool. Objection, passive aggressive behavior. I'm not going to go to Congress park. This pool also has a playground, a whirlpool spa and a barbecue grilling area. Yeah.
[00:34:01] And poolside activities, games, relays, trivia, playgrounds, whirlpool spas. And you know what? You can explore beyond the main pool to go for quiet pools. What else do you want from your vacation experience? I yield my time. So can I offer an argument here? Is this something that we can do or is that later? No. I've yielded my time. Wow. Actually, this is for the group since you guys are all more familiar with Walt Disney World than I am.
[00:34:30] Am I looking at the satellite view correctly? Is Saratoga Springs just massive? It is quite. It's enormous. Because when I zoomed in on this, I thought this was like four different hotels. But this is one. It is technically. That's fair. It's one hotel with four different sort of building sections. It's crazy. That's crazy. Not unlike Caribbean Beach, not unlike, you know, the Port Orleans, et cetera. But it's the biggest. Okay. When it comes down to it. Isn't it? It is. It is the biggest.
[00:34:58] That's why there's always rooms available at Grand Grand for DVC. Saratoga Springs for DVC. Always, always. I want to be upfront with you that when I saw the photo of the pool at the Polynesian, unless, unless like, I don't know, it was going to win no matter what, because this thing looks freaking cool. It's such a cool pool. It looks really cool. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. The Polynesian. Hold on. Hold on.
[00:35:27] Saratoga has a vague theme. There's, it's almost as though you can, I don't know, imagine that you're anywhere and still have fun. Polynesian though, has a lot more like of a, of a defined theme. And that's what we want when we go to a place with storytelling and memories and, and magic. Wait, wait. In fairness. Tag in fairness. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. And yes, we are talking about opposite of the argument I made last time. I recognize this.
[00:35:56] The Polynesian Villas pool is different from the Polynesian resort. They are different pools. We are not arguing Disney's Polynesian resort. We are arguing the Villas pool. Yeah. It's a different pool. You made a bad choice. It's a different pool. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, I saw what the, the document says Polynesian village. Is that the DVC? That's it. I think that's. Oh, you know what? You're right. I made a mistake.
[00:36:26] Go ahead. You're good. Everything's good. I tried. I tried my best with the brackets. It didn't always work. So this thing just looks amazing. I would want to be there. Um, I do have a, like a, like a tangential question, just like from a, from a theming aspect. That's not pool related. I'm just curious what your all opinions of what this is. This is an episode about. I know of, but educate me is what I'm asking for of the Disney resorts on property at Disney world.
[00:36:55] Which is the best resort in terms of like theming and all of that. Cause right now I feel like the Polynesian is just knocking it out of the park in general, like overall. It's a very subjective question. Um, I don't think there's an answer. It depends on what you're after. The answer is Polynesian. Thank you, Eric. Well, yeah, the answer is I, I think it is gotten to the other themed pools.
[00:37:18] Well, but, but Eric, if you want, if, if you want like a, a, a French Riviera sort of feel, you don't go to Polynesian. You go to Riviera. If you want a new England seaside, you go to beach club, yacht club. I mean, how can you say that one is better themed? And also theming, theming can be a subjective thing because some people might enjoy a little bit of, a little bit of funk on their theming. I guess. Yeah. I want a 30 foot tall. I guess the way that I look at it, and this is where I'm asking is like, when I go to
[00:37:47] a place, how, how, how am I being enveloped in something that is not, that is not where I'm at. So like for me, like the French, like the French quarter and stuff, like there are buildings that are similar to that in Florida, just in general, where I feel like there's not a lot of other like Polynesian themes. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe it, it again, it's subjective. Okay. So the only other thing I would say just for context, right?
[00:38:15] So Saratoga Springs, and this is not trying to win an argument, just, just for education. Saratoga Springs, New York is a town where they have actual springs that come out of the water with carbonated water. That's awesome. But it's become famous for its horse racing. So Saratoga Springs is all about horses that the, the hot tub is shaped like a horseshoe. Just, just feels pool. Yeah. Paddock, you know, paddock room, blah, blah, blah.
[00:38:42] It's all themed to Saratoga Springs, New York. Gotcha. And yet you can't swim with a horse. Well, you, well, anyway, so the point is that if you're into that sort of vibe and you're really into horse racing and upstate New York and stuff, that's, that's the most well-themed resort. Gotcha. If you're into the Hawaiian islands or whatever Polynesian. So I get what you're saying is that, can I get this anywhere else in Florida? Yeah.
[00:39:09] The answer is some of the stuff probably, but when you're getting into something more nuanced and detailed, like Polynesian, like, um, you know, I guess Saratoga Springs, Caribbean Beach, Riviera, uh, Coronado Springs, which we'll talk about. Um, it just kind of, it's all subjective, right? The last, last thing I'll say about the Polynesian that I really appreciate looking at a satellite view is there are plenty of stairs. So you could get out at a bunch of different places around the pool without just having to like pull yourself up, which I think is kind of cool.
[00:39:36] I'm going to give it to the Polynesian surprise, surprise. Well, amen. Okay. Well, well, well awarded. Yes. Uh, okay. So Polynesian, now we're moving on to the moderate resorts. Do we, do we, uh, we, we, where are we on time? We're good. We're halfway done and we have time. Do we? We have an hour though. Eric really doesn't want to find guests. Okay. It's fine. All right, here we go.
[00:40:06] We're going to move on to another show to do on Wednesday. And I, I'm just selfishly trying to like make another show. I told you I can be there and I I'll make the show about 25% longer just by my presence. Oh, good. Good. Anyway, can we move on to the next? Look on the text face. All right. We're going to move on to Disney's Caribbean Beach.
[00:40:28] This is moderate West versus moderate East Caribbean Beach Resort versus Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Ooh. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort tag. Here we go. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort features the Fuentes del Moro pool, a pirate themed, not on an island, pirate themed pool with slides, a splash area and a spa. Along with five smaller, quieter leisure pools.
[00:40:56] Every section of the Caribbean Beach tag has its own pool. There are villages that make up the Caribbean Beach. Everyone has its own pool. The main pool, the Fuentes del Moro, a splash area, water slides, a spa along with five smaller quality pools, like I've mentioned, a lot of variety. So, hey, Jimmy. Yes, sir. Did, did anyone call into question the pools in the Caribbean Beach area recently?
[00:41:25] Any of, any of our concierge? Well, I said that's the one with the pool on the island and I was corrected. Uh-huh. I conflated that and the, the, the, the other one. Just, just, just pulling that up. Anyway, there's an island and it's got a playground, not a pool. Okay. So, the theme tag is a pirate themed pool resembling a colonial Spanish fortress.
[00:41:53] There are two water slides, including one that is 102 feet long. There is a zero entry area. You mentioned climbing out of pools. How, how much easier would it be to climb out of a pool than from a zero entry? There is a shipwreck play area with mini slides, a crow's nest and a barrel that dispenses water. It's like a bucket. A 12 person spa pool. Themed pool parties and other activities. A banana cabana pool bar.
[00:42:23] It is near the main building, which is where you'll have other food and check in, et cetera. Of course, there are lifeguards. Um, and that's it. And then every other village has its own little quiet pool. So, there are six pools at the Caribbean Beach resort. So, this is also one of the very large resorts. Looking at the satellite view, this is massive. It is a massive resort. The resort that Disney built. It feels like it.
[00:42:48] I think there's a question that begs to be asked, which is, does having a bunch of pools count if it's also a bunch of different hotel buildings or how much does it count for anything? Uh, for me, I'm only picking like the main pool. Cause I think the other ones don't seem like they have a ton of like theming. They're just kind of like pools. So, I'm going to go by the main, main pool here on this one.
[00:43:13] Well then, let me introduce to you the lost city of Cibola pool. Okay. At Coronado Springs resort. This is a Mayan pyramid themed pool with a 120 foot long water slide. This is the area that features the largest outdoor hot tub at Walt Disney World. Uh, from Disney.
[00:43:44] Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Jimmy make, make all the, the hand features you want, but still, uh, from Disney, some worshipers of all ages will dig the dig site, a sprawling pool complex with a Mayan ruins theme discover the lost city of Cibola pool whose centerpiece is a 50 foot tall pyramid where weary explorers can revive themselves in the waters streaming down its stone steps.
[00:44:12] A 123 foot long water slide, uh, it features a spitting jaguar spirit animal, uh, over the slide for a fierce ride. The dig site also boasts the log largest hot tub on Walt Disney world resort property with room for 22 tribesmen, 22 tribesmen.
[00:44:40] That's that's people for, for, you know, tribes people got it. Uh, yeah. Uh, seasonal pool side activities. Yes. Does pool bar, which is, uh, the pool bar that is open from 11 AM to 9 PM. Holy cow. They have a completely unique menu, including flamin hot Cheetos, mac and cheese bites.
[00:45:09] Uh, uh, it's, it's, it's one of those, these menus that's, that's completely unique. Dan, not related to anything. Objection. Flamin hot Cheetos don't need to be everywhere and go on everything, but they, you know what? Walking tacos. It's Eric. I feel like you're very food focused with a lot of this, which, um, you're not supposed to eat and go into the water. Okay. 30 minutes, Eric, 30 minutes.
[00:45:37] And Eric rope drops the pool for the food. Okay. Let's leave, let's leave the food. Um, let me go back to my time here. Um, join us for fan family friendly activities, including the swimming of the bulls, a themed pool party celebrating Walt Disney world's 50th anniversary, as well as the rich cultures. There better be actual balls. Well, I mean, no.
[00:46:06] And are they still celebrating the 50th anniversary, Eric? Well, I mean, it's Disney. Yes, they probably are. It's only been a year and a half. We're fine. We know how Disney does. Uh, let's make a splash at the lost city of the Cibola pool. Join us for family friendly activities every day. Um, and last I checked, it was four years ago, but go ahead. Trivia four years ago, 50 years. 1971. It is now 2025. What the hell year is it?
[00:46:36] COVID did this to all of us. Uh, spoilers for Twin Peaks, the return. And your time is up. All right. Anyway, my time is up. I will say there's a, there's a big ass pyramid. The pyramid is fricking cool. It's amazing. It's quite amazing. Yeah. Which like would normally win this, but the pirate theme. Okay. So I did not know about the Caribbean beach resort pool. The pirate theming here is almost on par with that of the Polynesian.
[00:47:05] So for me, that has to win. The Fuentes del Moro pool. It is very cool. Yeah. Uh, yeah. The Mayan, that's a tough, it's a tough call tag. Cause that Mayan pyramid with the waterfall coming down the steps is. But that's like one aspect where I feel like the other pool has multiple things. I agree. And, and also not that it matters, but Caribbean beach is the hub of the Skyliner and Coronado Springs is middle. That has nothing to do with the pool, but yeah, it's irrelevant.
[00:47:35] But yeah. Yeah. Jimmy's Jimmy is fair. Yeah. Coronado Springs is the middle of nowhere. And I wish that it was the middle of somewhere, but it is great. But it might soon be, you never know if they extend the Skyliner. Fine. There's talking. No, they're not going to do it. It's fine. Okay. Moving on to moderate East Disney's Port Orleans resort, Riverside, not French Quarter. And the cabins. No, wait, can I read? I can't read. Yes.
[00:48:04] The cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness resort. Eric will start with the Disney's Port Orleans, Riverside resort. Eric will start with the winning old man Island pool. This is a rustic old fashioned swim hole theme with a very large water slide. Jimmy. What are you about to say? No. Oh, he's not. He's not. He's not going to say anything.
[00:48:31] Have a good old time at Old Man Island, a 3.5 acre refuge with a swimming hole and a fishing hole. Fashioned after an abandoned sawmill, this pool is accessible by three wooden bridges and includes a 95 foot long rustic water slide built into the millworks. Near nearby a whirlpool tub, the muddy rivers pool bar and a kiddie pool provide entertainment for all ages.
[00:49:00] A daily pool party plus an evening campfire campfire. Oh, those are very different. Oh, yes, that's very different. Campfire and movie screening on select nights. Keep the fun going all day long. There is this is a pool that is right next to an area where you can rent a a a like fishing pole and go fishing.
[00:49:29] There's a big old slide. There's a woo here. What? What? I'm the woo here. What? Am I am Adam? He slipped into Adam. The woo mode. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. That's good. Will you? But but but yeah, I mean, it's it's a large pool complex with with a slide. It they've got a pool bar there.
[00:49:57] It is similar to other pool bars where it's they've got completely unique drinks and food that you can get. And you can actually fish not in the pool. I was going to ask tag not not in the pool. You can fish in the pond nearby. This pool is in fact on an island. It is on an island.
[00:50:22] It's called Old Man Island and it is accessible in one of the largest. One of the largest. One of the largest places like room location wise in Walt Disney World. This is the pool. And there is there there's so much to do. You could take a you could take a boat to Disney Springs from this place. Well, that's the hotel, though.
[00:50:51] Yeah, that's not the pool. I know we're talking about pools. I'm just talking about how I take a boat to the Old Man Island or is there a bridge? No, you walk to Old Man Island. There are three. There are three rustic bridges. What you're. Did you hear me talk about the three rustic bridges? I did. I let you know I have attention issues. I was not paying attention at that time. Dan pay attention. He doesn't have to pay attention. Three rustic bridges. I'm the one that has to pay attention. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. And your time is up. All right.
[00:51:20] I am trying to find this next pool and I cannot. Whoever's next. It's tough. The cabins at Grand, well Fort Wilderness. Where is this pool? You might be better off Google imaging. I did. Yes. But I also like to get a satellite view. Which, which pool is this? The cabins at the wilderness. Fort Wilderness. Yeah.
[00:51:45] So, um, this is swimming with an apostrophe versus swimming versus an apostrophe. And I just want to say that abandoned saw mills are scary and dangerous, but you know what else is scary and dangerous? The woods. Uh, for guests staying in the cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness resort, the pool facilities, the meadow swimming pool and the wilderness swimming pool provide an essential, immersive and uniquely private aquatic experience.
[00:52:13] Unlike the pools of typical Disney hotels, these pools offer space, serenity, and a natural aesthetic that fits perfectly with the secluded luxury of the cabins. It's like you can get away with anything in the wilderness. The perfect pool experience for cabin guests. So if you're ready, you're already staying in nature. So your pool should match that. Unlike the heavily chlorinated artificially themed pools, other Disney resorts, the Fort
[00:52:41] Wilderness pools feel natural and organic, even though they're not, they feel like they might be the design embraces wilderness aesthetics instead of forcing a fake exotic vibe. Like looking at you, uh, Polynesian, even though I'm going to argue for you later. Uh, the pools are an extension of the cabin experience, not a separate thing. If you're in a cabin, you want a private serene escape from the parks. And that's exactly what these pools provide.
[00:53:08] Unlike value or moderate resorts, which again, I'm going to argue for later, but that's fine. You're not sharing pool space with hundreds of other guests on top of each other. There's no elevator trips, no lobbies, no nonsense, just a quick walk or golf cart ride. Cabin guests have easy access to the pools without hassle of a crowded hotel. You don't have to go across a scary bridge that might fall down. You don't have to take a boat. You don't have to swim in the alligator infested waters just to get over to the old abandoned saw mill that it's dangerous and you get splinters and the saws might turn back on and
[00:53:38] you'll die. The cabin guests have easy access to the pools without the hassle of a crowded hotel. Compare that to the Polynesian, which I know I'm going to argue for later where you have to navigate multiple long houses and fight for pool space. Like a gladiator. You got two pools, two experiences. You can choose your five. The Meadow Swimming Pool where kids burn energy so you don't have to. They got a water slide. It has actual entertainment. It's not just a big pool. They got a zero depth entry that makes it easy for families, small children.
[00:54:07] No need to hover nervously. Fort themed water play area keeps kids busy and safe because it's a fort while you relax. The Wilderness Swimming Pool is the best kept secret for relaxation. There's no slides, no splashes, just a calm, quiet retreat for cabin guests. No bucket splashing you unpleasantly. And we all know that can be scary. They got a whirlpool spa, which provides an actually relaxing hot tub experience. Okay. What? Not your anti bucket. I can't wait.
[00:54:36] I can't wait until Dan argues it himself. At this time right now, I am anti bucket, anti fun. This is the best pool because it's boring and it's nature. Time. Yeah. That was something. I'm not even interested. Dan, most of your argument was talking about how you would argue the opposite thing on a different pool later. So not a great answer. That's what I'm waiting for. I'm right now. This is the best one right now.
[00:55:05] Please play the game. How could you not? I did a podcast with Jeremy. I know how to do it. How could you, how could you not pick a pool that you could get to from anywhere in the resort? It's century located on an island. Yeah. A rickety old bridge that could fall. You know, that just adds to the theming. It has a name. It's old man. Island. A whole thing. It's dirty old men that are going to watch you. Okay. Okay. They're all dead. That's fine.
[00:55:35] Uh, Port Orleans Riverside wins that one. Thank you. Let's move on. Uh, we're going to save the best for last. Okay. Uh, we have four more hotels. Starting with Deluxe North. Deluxe North. That is Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Not the villas. Tag. The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa versus Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Okay. Eric will go first.
[00:56:04] Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The Courtyard Pool is a quiet pool. It's a tranquil pool area with a nearby whirlpool spa. Zero entry. Five feet deep. There's a bar nearby that has ping pong tables. It's covered.
[00:56:32] It's a much smaller setting than the other, the pool that I talked about earlier. Uh, the, the shape of the pool is really weird. Yeah. Tag's looking it up right now. I don't know why you always talk about weird, the shape of the pool. It's a weird shaped pool. Okay. It's a weird shaped pool. Okay. I think that's not a plus or a minus, but it's so calm.
[00:57:01] Um, fountains spray into the pool right behind the resorts lobby. This is where the pool is located. Um, you can, uh, rent patio space for 100, $125 per day, which is significantly less than renting out a cabana.
[00:57:24] This gives you a table with an umbrella over it, lounge chairs, private towels, private towels, and a cooler. Are you saying that other pools don't have private towels? Are you sharing towels at Disney? You have to share towels with other people there. Yes. If you're lucky. That's yeah. Yeah. That's how it goes. The free towels you have to share here for 125, $125.
[00:57:54] You get your own towel. Huh? Okay. I don't have anything. All right. Say about this pool time. All right. Let's move on to the wilderness lodge pool. Okay. Take that Dan. Oh, I'll take it. The copper Creek Springs pool and bold. No, not that pool. Wait, what? We'll do this lodge, right? No, he was saying, oh no, I'm going to lose.
[00:58:23] Cause this is a better pool. Oh, oh, okay. Well, I know I'm giving up my, my advantage here. I mean, should we just save it for if, I mean, we could say, no, just talk about your do it. We've got, we've got several minutes left on this episode. Well, mine is better. And Eric has said, so my interlock dealer has given up much like the democratic party seems to have the copper Creek Springs. Oh, damn it. We did that too. What?
[00:58:53] What? The copper Creek Springs pool and Boulder Ridge cove pool at Walt Disney's wilderness lodge. Disney. Sorry. Walt is no longer part of it. Provide an unparalleled combination of natural beauty, thematic immersion and peaceful. I'll say it relaxation. While other resort pools at Disney rely on over the top theming or just being good. Dan, you can stop right there. Well, the wilderness lodge, the wilderness lodge swim with a bear.
[00:59:24] You should be able to swim. It's a better, it's a better pool. It's a better pool. It's a better pool. Okay. Tag the, the, my favorite part, we'll save it for the next, the next bracket, but it's I'll get into detail. I just did a tour on that, on that pool. Uh, here's the moment I've all been waiting for. Um, the Disney's animal kingdom lodge versus the Disneyland home. Dan will be arguing for both. What?
[00:59:51] Oh, starting with Disney's animal kingdom lodge. Hang on. Hang on. We've got a song for this. Okay. Your attention, please. Hi, this is Jason from ears up. I'm here with my very real and cool nephew, Asher to tell you all about the taste sensation
[01:00:21] hitting the airwaves. It's called the Supreme resort after hours. Isn't that right, Asher? That's right. Uncle Jason. The Supreme resort after hours is where you get to hear the three man children you love so much from the Supreme resort talk about even more nonsense than they do here. You may be asking, is it even possible for them to talk about more random crap? And why would I pay $5 a month to the ears up on the vans to hear this garbage? I don't know.
[01:00:50] Probably just give it a try and see if hearing them say swears is worth it. That sounds great, Asher. I love how much detail you gave. And that clip you picked? Absolute chef's kiss. Well, I'm sold. And if you'd like to hear this amazing new content, you can head over to my patron. Then you'll be my best friend. I love you very much. Fresh baked. Fresh baked indeed. Let's go get smoothies together. Hooray!
[01:01:26] Amigos y amigas, this song is for you! It's fine. You can just start doing the competition between yourself. If we need to, I can put in another song between your arguments for yourself. No, that's actually perfect. So, I'm going to start with, how do I want to play this? Okay, Disneyland Hotel. Three minutes have started.
[01:01:55] The pools at Disneyland Hotel are not just pools. They're an extension of Disneyland's original magic. The monorail pool, e-ticket pool and e-ticket pool combine nostalgia, luxury and actual fun in a way that no other Disneyland resort pool can match. With a prime location, historical significance and family-friendly design, this is the gold standard of Disneyland resort pools. Uh huh.
[01:02:21] It is the only Disneyland pool with actual Disneyland theming. It's got a monorail water slide, a literal Disneyland ride in pool form. Not literal in the way that the word is supposed to be used, but the way it's often used. E-ticket and D-ticket names attribute Disneyland history. Vintage Disneyland sign in mid-century design. It's like stepping back into 1955. It's an extension of the Disneyland experience. It's not just a monorail open in 1959.
[01:02:51] You know what? I'm reclaiming my time. Other hotel pools are just hotel pools. At Disneyland Hotel, the pools are part of the story. The monorail pool and slides are unmatched in fun factor. Even when they're matched, they are unmatched. They have two monorail slides that provide thrills, mini slides and splash areas that keep kids entertained. There's no gaudy, stupid bucket. It's slides and pools. They don't have a bucket?
[01:03:22] No. Who wants a bucket getting in your way? You're just enjoying your time and the bucket splashes all over you and gets into your drink. It's gross. The e-ticket pool is massive, well-designed, and never feels overcrowded. Unlike the Grand Californian pool, which is a tiny overcrowded rectangle. Did they have a bucket? No. How many buckets do they have? No, this is part of it. Who, what? What? Buckets where? Which one? Nevermind. Okay.
[01:03:53] They got a separate d-ticket pool that offers quieter space. It's perfect for adults or guests looking for a break from high energy play. If you want to sit around and talk about your taxes like old people like to do, it's a perfect place to go. I can't think of anyone anywhere better. It's got location, convenience, and close exclusivity. Buckets? No buckets because buckets are just going to get in the way. It's the only pool, like I said, that pays tribute to Disneyland's original days. It's named after Disneyland's ticket system. That's fun.
[01:04:22] The monorail slides are a nod to the Disneyland hotel station. It's, you know what? These are kind of repetitive things. All right, Dan, I'm going to call your time and move on to the other one. Okay. To counter the argument. Yeah. Well, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Hold on. Are you legitimately? Oh, Dan needs some water. Dan will now be arguing for the Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Okay.
[01:04:48] This is going to be, I was going to do real Dan versus woke Dan, but I don't know how I can handle that. All right. Animal Kingdom Lodge. Can you swim with a zebra? No, but you can feel like you are. The pools at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Uzima Springs Pool at Jombo House, and Samawati Springs Pool at Kidani Village are more than just pools. They're extensions of the resort's rich African theme. Kidani Village is not in debate here. Shh. I'm taking my time.
[01:05:18] Providing a uniquely serene and immersive water experience unmatched by any other Disney pool. With lush landscaping, massive pool sizes, thrilling slides, quiet relaxation areas, and even, yes, wildlife views. Dan, how about you just say that Disneyland is better? You are swimming with this. Because Disneyland Hotel Pool is an abomination. That's why I'm arguing for this one right now. Oh, okay. And the wildlife views. Can you see wildlife from the Disneyland Hotel? No, you can't.
[01:05:47] You can, all you see is traffic. Define wildlife. All you see is traffic because it's in Anaheim and Anaheim is disgusting. The most thematically immersive pool experience at Disney World. Other Disney resorts add theming. These pools are the theming. They blend seamlessly into the resort's savannah-like atmosphere. You can't just, you don't just swim near the theme, you swim in the theme. And again, you can't swim with a zebra, but it feels like you are.
[01:06:12] If you compare this to the Disneyland Hotel, it pales in comparison. Disneyland Hotel is a pool, it's just themed to Disneyland. You know what? If I wanted to go to Disneyland, I would go to Disneyland or it's right there. I'd get on the monorail. If I wanted to go on a monorail, I wouldn't go on a slide. I'd get on the monorail. All right, Dan, I'm going to kill your time there. Please. So this one I'm conflicted by because I'm going to make an argument against and for the Disneyland Hotel.
[01:06:43] My argument against the Disneyland Hotel pool is the fact- I like both of these for some reason. It's just the fact that they took out what was an amazing attraction in and of itself at the Disneyland Hotel, which was the motorized boats. They had the waterfalls. They had the cool Fantasia waters thing in the back. It was amazing. And what they've done here is terrible and awful. And I don't know if I could forgive them. However, between the two options, this is kind of a great like layout and use of the space.
[01:07:10] It does make the space feel smaller than it used to before because it doesn't seem like before it was massive. It's got the great Togger Terrace and Trader Sam's there, which is awesome. The monorail. I love the monorail. How could I not go for the monorail pool? Although I've never used it. I do also think it's a little weird for guests to kind of be in like on display because it's literally in the middle of everybody walking around to get to various things at Disneyland Hotel. And they're just like staring at you. And I'm like, well, that's kind of weird.
[01:07:40] So I find that odd. But I think between the two, it does look lush and amazing. And even though they should have left it how they used to have it, it is the better of the two. So Disneyland Hotel wins this one. Excellent. A couple of points that Dan was making. The Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can walk around the corner and see the savannah. So from the pool area, you can actually see wildlife. But that has nothing to do with the pool. No, I mean, argument over, right?
[01:08:09] I'm just educating. The Disneyland Hotel pool will shut down if there are ducks in it. The Animal Kingdom Lodge welcomes ducks. Sure. Can I also mention that, like, as somebody who's not as familiar with Disney World as y'all are, I thought that the Animal Kingdom Lodge was somehow connected to the savannah part of the Kilimanjaro safaris tour thing. Oh, no. In a way, it kind of is.
[01:08:37] Like, there's an entire forest in between the two. Right. Oh, yeah. That's right. But there is the... Yeah, they're not connected physically. But there is a savannah at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Yeah, but I thought that they were like the same. It's very... Like, my brain is breaking. It would make sense. It would make sense. But I think they're housed in different... Pens. Sanctuaries. Times. It would make sense. It would make sense. All right. So, we're going to go back. So, Teg, what I'm going to suggest here is we limit our time to one minute. Sure.
[01:09:06] And we're going to go back down to the value resorts. That's Howard Johnson versus the art of animation. Do you need... Are we doing the Elite Eight? We are in the Elite Eight. Okay. So, one minute... I mean, do you just want to go on a speed run and I can just, like, pick things and then we can make final arguments? If you want, unless there's something we need to argue. I don't think there's anything you need to argue. Okay. I'm going to give it to... Let's see. So, for value between Howard Johnson and Art of Animation...
[01:09:37] That's right. A bucket. Art of Animation does not have a bucket. Don't care about the bucket. The bucket thing doesn't matter to me. Wow. I'm going to give it to Howard Johnson because I feel like Disney Resort is underrepresented. So, we'll just give it that. A lot less pools. I got to give it to the Pauly for the DVC because the Pauly is... No, no, no, no. Boulder Ridge. Boulder Ridge. What? Sorry. Wow. What an injustice. Right? Because that was different because we had Polynesian somewhere else, didn't we?
[01:10:05] No, the Polynesian was the Polynesian that you loved. Oh, I'm definitely going to be the Polynesian. I'm sorry. I thought we'd go somewhere else. Oh, no. What an upset. Okay. Let's see. Oh, so we're doing speed run on this and then we can get into arguments. Yeah. Caribbean Beach and Riverside. Uh... Old Man Island. Old Man Island wins. And, uh... Uh, you know Disneyland because, you know, Disneyland, of course, we're going to pick Disneyland. Okay. I am happy to announce that I do not get to argue the rest of the episode. Sorry, Jimmy. This is fantastic.
[01:10:34] Oh, good. No, no, no, no. Oh, Jimmy doesn't have to be here next time. Designed this way. Okay. Okay. So, our final four in the west are Disneyland and the Polynesian. In the east, the Riverside and the Howard Johnson. So, we'll start on the east with Howard Johnson versus Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. One minute. We'll start with Eric and the Port Orleans Riverside. You have one minute. One minute. Wow.
[01:11:06] Are we doing it now? Yeah. Eric, you're going to have to do a different recording on Wednesday. I'm sorry. Oh, damn it. I thought we were going to... 45 seconds. Wow. It's an island. I'm going to reset you. It's got water slides. You've... It's one of the largest places you can go in and it's got a bar and it's got a food and it's got a thing. There we go. Wow.
[01:11:37] Yeah. That was 10 seconds. Yeah. Yeah. Take that. Versus the Howard Johnson. Take that, Hojo. Right. Or why a plucky pirate water park obliterates Disney's sad attempts at Southern Charm in the chlorinated bayou of lies. The Howard Johnson's Anaheim Castaway Cove and Garden Pool outclasses the Port Orleans resort pools in actual fun. He wrote out a script. Water features. I didn't. AI did.
[01:12:04] And accessibility while Port Orleans leans on generic Southern theming and tries to pass off a sea serpent slide. See, it even got it wrong. Okay. You wrote a new AI script. Yeah. While we were sitting here. You know what? Play a song. You got 23 seconds left. Okay. Passway Cove is a legit water playground. Not just a fancy hotel pool. Please keep the song going.
[01:12:35] Pirate ship water cannons, splash zones, multiple water slides make it feel like a mini water park instead of just a pool with extra steps. Hold on. I'm putting my hands up because I would like to swim. Art of animations, big blue pool is just big. And again, Eric, it didn't even generate the right argument because I'm not looking at the right. I was going to say, what does this have anything to do? This is not a good way to argue. There's an island where there is a water slide and a pool. You know what? There's a Mimi's across the street. How about that? Mimi.
[01:13:06] It's not even across the street. It's next door. It's next door. I'm sorry, but the Howard Johnson is not on an island and the island is fricking cool. So yeah. All right. Can you see the Disneyland monorail from that island? No, but I don't see anything from the island. It's amazing. It's just kind of a cool thing. It's great. It's an island. Sorry, our friends over in Hojo. As the host of the show, I support your decision.
[01:13:35] I think Riverside is, it's a better theme. It's sort of a little bit more resort feel. I agree. Sure. Before we go on, Teg, because Wilderness Lodge did not win, I just want to point out for the listener and for you, the pool, the Copper Creek pool has headwaters. This is all themed around Yellowstone ultimately. It's sort of the hotels of the old Western national parks.
[01:14:02] And the hotel actually looks just like the Yellowstone Old Faithful Inn. And geysers and things are staples of Yellowstone. In the lobby of the hotel, there is a bubbling spring coming out of the ground of the lobby. That's the headwaters of the Copper Creek. Yeah, the lobby of this place is a place. The water then flows down over waterfalls, rocks into the pool.
[01:14:29] And then that water then flows from the pool down to Bay Lake past a geyser that erupts every hour. Teg, have you actually been to that lobby? Yep. Oh, good. Okay. So it's just important for me as the host of the show. I'm not saying you made the wrong choice. It's just important. If we were talking about really cool hotel features, it would have won. Right. But we're talking about the pool. The pool was just kind of mad. Yep, you're right. For me, I wanted to say it out loud for the listener. Okay.
[01:14:54] Let's move on to the Polynesian versus the Disneyland Hotel. Ooh, two amazing things. What country are we in with this music? This is a Bollywood version of the song.
[01:15:22] Now, the good news is both of these hotels, the Polynesian Resort and the Disneyland Hotel, will both be argued by Dan. Again? Wait, what? Damn it. The Polynesian Resort. Okay, here we go. Wait, do I need to do the song for you or? Uh, give me one second. I wasn't seeing this coming. The Polynesian Resort, Ted, you had mentioned was one of the best themes you'd seen.
[01:15:49] The Disneyland Resort, Hotel Pool, Monorail, Z-Ticket, D-Ticket, et cetera. Just to set the scene. So Dan, start where you will. Hold on. This will be good. Sure. I promise. Sure it will. We have time. Our fans love it. Dan is Chachy P-T-ing this. That's correct. Is there somebody, Eric or Jimmy, would one of you like to argue one of the two hotels? Because I feel like Dan arguing himself is silly. No, no, this is going to be good. No, I think it's better.
[01:16:18] I agree with Jimmy. Oh my goodness. Okay. Okay. How can one man hold so many truths? Ladies and gentlemen, we, and, and in beats, we stand on the crossroads of history. Before us are two titanic bodies of water, each a shimmering monument. Oh, girl. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:16:47] Welcome their friends to pools wide and grand. I'm just trying to help. He switched his water glass to straight vodka. On the one side, the lava pools. I don't know how to deal with this. Okay. I'll turn it off. It's fine. Okay. Okay. How do I? This is your song. You mean these songs. I'm saying. Right. I know. I don't know how to approach this. Okay. Okay. Um, 30 seconds. No, no, no.
[01:17:19] No, it keeps that one going. That's Dan. You have 60 seconds left for your entire argument of both. Okay. So the Polynesian village resort has a, it's got a volcano. It's got tiki stuff. And oddly enough, so does Disneyland hotel, but it doesn't have a volcano. So I guess it comes down to, do you want more of a like Disneyland hotel theme or do you want more of a Hawaiian theme?
[01:17:44] But then Disneyland hotel also kind of weirdly has a Hawaiian theme because it's got the, and they both have trader Sam's. So let's go Sam's versus Sam's. That's an interesting point. There you go. That's our angle. You can see the fireworks from the hot tub at. It's the only place that you can see fireworks from the hot tub. Okay. You got to keep this one going. This one's good. So Sam's versus Sam's.
[01:18:15] This one's really great. Cause it's about tech. The singer. So many of these, you know, maybe this should be some bonus thing that you offer to your supporters. It's just an entire playlist of all of these songs. Oh, we've already talked about it. There's an album. It works. Uh, in this, in this one, the singer is looking at the water and he's saying things floating in it and he's thinking about how he can make gumbo. Wonderful. Uh, which is funny cause we're talking about Polynesia, not, uh, not some type of a bayou or anything.
[01:18:43] Uh, anyway, uh, this is tough because I feel like both have lush theming in terms of just their atmosphere of, uh, you know, foliage and everything around them. But I will say that I think that I will enjoy the buildings and overall aesthetic of the surrounding area at the Polynesia village more than there's that hotel because there are so many just skyscraper, uh, hotel buildings that are just blue, uh, that are less appealing
[01:19:11] than the cool, uh, different Polynesian longhouse designs, which I think fit in more thematically. And I love fireworks. Totally agree. You can't watch the fireworks from Disneyland hotel because they are being blocked by the giant towers that I talked about pretty easily. Yep. I, I, I think genuine argument place. I think where I, where I'm landing also in agreement is that the Disneyland hotel historically has kind of like tried to do what they ended up doing with the Polynesia. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:19:41] The, the other thing I will say between the two is because Disneyland only has three Disney hotels, I believe that the cost to stay at the Disneyland hotel is outrageously expensive for what you get compared to what I assume the pricing would be at like the Polynesian, which has a monorail, which is actually connected to their building as opposed to having to walk to downtown Disney. That's right. You could also walk to the ticket and transportation center if you wanted to, you could walk around
[01:20:08] the lagoon to go over to, uh, Magic Kingdom. It's just got a lot. Have done. Agreed. Um, and I, I do think it was interesting that we both landed at the trader Sam's aspect of it. Um, okay. So the final, are we finishing this? All right. Yeah. This is, oh my Eric for the love of God. Have we gone through all the, I have another show to do on Wednesday. Okay. So we've gone through all the songs by my car. But Eric, do you have another show to do on Wednesday? I've gone to eight. What? Oh, sorry. Sorry.
[01:20:37] I said, but do you have another show to do on Wednesday? You haven't mentioned it yet. Nope. I think eight is a perfect way to close this. Close this up. People, please, please, please listen to the hub crawl and donate to the hub crawl. Um, I do already because, uh, you know what? Hmm. Hmm. Anyway.
[01:21:06] So the, uh, no, I make more money off of the, the crawl then. That's true. That's which is nothing. So I don't know how we're making. Yeah. Yeah. We, he actually spends money for this show. Well, you know what? Um, okay. So the final two hotels to argue are the Polynesian resort versus the Port Orleans Riverside.
[01:21:29] That's volcanoes and Tiki theme versus old man Island, old Bayou plantation style, whatnots. So that is Dan versus. That's Dan versus Eric. I thought we were done. Jimmy, both, but both of you have to be on the show on, on Wednesday. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm, I'm forcing you to do it. It's short. That is, that's a good point. Yeah.
[01:21:59] And, and, and tag is. I was going to do it earlier to Jimmy. Oh, sweet. I mean, I don't know if anybody else, but we can talk about that later. Yeah. All right. So Polynesian, Polynesian resort versus Riverside. Do you want to give the, do you want to give the two gentlemen their time? I want to give them 30 seconds. Okay. Eric, we're going to start with you at Port Orleans Riverside. You have 30 seconds to convince Teg it is the best pool at all Disney domestic parks, hotel resorts.
[01:22:30] And if your argument is 30 seconds of the song, you will lose. What? What? No, it's a literal island. There is a giant pool. There is a slide. There is a bar. They have, they have food and drinks that are unique to the location. That's all I have to say. That is your time. Okay. Dan, Danny, Disney's Polynesian resort.
[01:22:58] So this is a, a struggle between a volcanic South Pacific paradise and a work lukewarm puddle for old timey river folk who refuse to accept the progress exists. Today, we gather to witness the greatest mismatch in the history of aquatic entertainment in one corner, the lava pool, a beacon of tropical luxury, a volcano forged wonderland where waterfalls cascade into infinity edge serenity.
[01:23:24] And in the other corner, old man Island, a place for a bunch of old men. Watch you swim. It's named after a man. So ancient. So just the credit time that Disney saw fit. Okay. So this actually is very difficult for me because I feel like these two things offer two completely different things, but both do it in a very good way. I think the dot, the Polynesian has all that great theming has of course the volcano. You can watch fireworks.
[01:23:53] You get the music from the fireworks there. You got the great just atmosphere in general, all the different stairs to get out of the pool, whatever. Awesome. But then you got old man Island, which like you could feel even though you're in the middle of a resort in the middle of nowhere. And you've got some pretty decent theming. You take a bridge to get to it, which like, come on. Like that's like a pre-show almost. Oh my God. It's so difficult. There are bridges. There are, you can, you can fish. I don't really care about fishing.
[01:24:22] I find fishing one of the most boring things you could possibly do with your life. But, but you could if you wanted to. Yeah. I mean, I could also, you know, there's lots of things. You could also watch fireworks, which is the most boring thing I've ever thought. What fireworks are like my favorite thing ever. You're trying to win this argument or not? The fact that the fact that drones are going to take over fireworks is very sad. Um, that's true. I think I'm going to go for a mass market appeal here and I'm going to pick the Polynesian village pool.
[01:24:52] The Polynesian village resort is the best. Dan, which Disney, which domestic theme park pool. I have, I uploaded a new one. It's an Evanescence themed. No, I'll have to find it. It's in the same folder. Okay. Well, while he's finding that a tag, thank you just so much for joining us. Thank you for hosting once again, for judging being an impartial judge. I've definitely been judging. Disney Polynesian village resort hotel pool.
[01:25:20] I, you know, there are some of these, you just really couldn't go wrong. And this is a good example. You really couldn't have made a wrong decision here. Like you did with the, uh, web slinger. What was that? Well, where you will remind me what that was up. I don't remember. I don't know. He was right. Uh, anyway. So while he's trying to find that song, uh, thank you everybody for listening. Thank you, tag again, for being our guest host judge. Uh, I think next year we're talking about kids menus or bathrooms. We're not sure. Bathrooms.
[01:25:50] Yeah. All right. But I have a question though. Could you do, could like, Oh God, how do you do Supreme resort wise? Like I was, I was just thinking like, it'd be awesome to do a, uh, with Disneyland resort bathrooms. Cause like there, you can get some pretty good drama going there. Well, hold on. Well, winter is the stinky room, right? I mean, yeah, I think that's why we didn't do it. But anyway, we could do bathrooms. We could do 16. It's the bathroom. Oh yeah. It is bad. 16 Disneyland versus 16 Disney world. We could do that. There you go.
[01:26:21] Anyway. All right. So in the meantime, uh, thank you for listening. We have other shows on the network. Of course we have the ears up. Uh, Jason and Taryn just recently went to Disneyland for the first time in several years. They brought their seven year old daughter. You have a couple of episodes you can listen to about their experience, including behind the paywall on Patreon to find out their real opinion. Uh, there's the, uh, the scraping the vault straight to video Disney sequels.
[01:26:46] Look out for the next episode, which is hot frosty, hot frosty, which is the dealer's choice starring, uh, Lacey Schaubair and also the puny pod, which is about, uh, the Marvel rewatch podcast and the star Wars podcast, the, uh, Bantha milk boys. I think that's all of them. That's all of them. Don't also don't forget to listen to deal weekly and the hub crawl.
[01:27:14] Uh, the hub car will be recording Wednesday. There may be two special guests. We're not sure. Also concierge is a free vacation planning service. It is a full experience. They will help you book your tickets, your dining reservations, your theme park reservations. They'll give you information about what's going on. How is that changing? Can I interject some concierge stuff? Uh, Oh yeah. We have used concierge for our cruise that we took earlier in this year and they were fantastic.
[01:27:42] We also used it for our most recent family trip and stayed at a brand new hotel. We had never stayed at before and it was a great experience. And our concierge, we're just, uh, was wonderful, but I'm sure every person at concierge is equally wonderful. Uh, we stayed at the, uh, why am I blanking on the name of it? We've, uh, it's right across the street basically Disneyland. Yeah. Disneyland. It was like, uh, I want to say maybe it was the Camelot in in suites. Oh, sure.
[01:28:12] Uh, how is that? I haven't stayed there. It is actually, let me just make sure that that is. Yes. It was the Camelot. It was great. Um, the one thing to know though, we did rent a car and, uh, the only parking they offer is valet parking, which was $22 a night, but that's cheaper still than like the Howard Johnson. Yeah. That's cheaper than most. Um, it has a quasi rooftop pool and hot tub, which was, uh, perfectly enjoyable. The room was nice. The staff was nice. That's interesting. They, that's interesting. They themed it to a less popular Disney movie. That's interesting.
[01:28:41] Uh, at the end of the night when we were tired, cause, uh, you know, like I'm getting older and it, uh, it's harder for me to, uh, spend open to close at the parks. Uh, it was right there and it was wonderful, but you go concierge people got it all booked and tickets to universal as well. And so we were able to get that for concierge as well. So, all right, well, there you go. I need to say no more. Bethany is phenomenal. She's a wonderful. I'm sure Jimmy, you are just as phenomenal.
[01:29:08] I not as good as Bethany, but anyway, uh, anyway. So thank you, tag. Uh, that is all unless anybody has anything else. Eric, do you have another song? How many more songs do you want? Damn it. I put, I put another one in there. Why don't we put that at the end to play us out? That's in post. There you go. Wait, do we need to do it now? Just for the reaction? Yes, just, it's for the reaction. Also, tag.
[01:29:38] Thank you for the time limits that made all the difference in the world. Yeah. This episode having been four hours. I am the, uh, I am the, I am the, uh, you know. Yeah. You don't say Nazi. What is it? Uh, the disciplinary. I am the, I am the Mary Poppins of. The rudder. The rudder. The rudder for this rudderless ship. That's right. That we call the Supreme.
[01:30:03] Unfortunately, I feel like no matter how good of a rudder you have, you need more than one for this ship. That. Wow. Yeah. It is kind of a perfect storm. Of personalities that. It is a fun time. I, I, I, I comment this. It is a fun time. It's just a lot more chaos than every time I come on, I forget how chaotic it is. No, no, no. Stop it. I hate this program. Yeah. All right.
[01:30:33] Uh, we're going to find the song until next time. Be good to each other. Yes. Just be good to each other. And until next time, court is adjourned. Come on. Welcome my friends to pools of delight. But where the water is cold. I hate you, Dan. So Dan, I have questions for you. Where do you, what tool do you use to generate these?
[01:31:03] Oh, it's so much. I basically. Okay. Are we starting over until that this song is done? Okay. Stop talking. Please. Please. As your editor, please, please. All right. I will not. I will not talk over. Sorry. I'm sorry. Please. Sorry. I won't talk again. Please. Sorry. Please.
[01:31:33] I'm sorry. Please. Eric, I'm really sorry. I kept talking over that. Please. I hate you. Eric, are you not the one that has control over the soundboard here? So to answer your question, I, I use the paid version of chat GPT. Yeah, me too.
[01:31:57] And, and we discuss different ideas and musical tropes. And, uh, for example, I have an AI band called liquid horizon. The Eric is a fan of they, they do yacht rock that is weirdly libertarian and filled with divorced dad, uh, grievances. Um, so the way it works is we create a whole, I'm not a fan.
[01:32:27] Anyway, I create a whole backstory for this. And then I talk about, okay, here's where this goes. Here are the parameters. Here's how it needs to fit into these things. And then it will generate a style prompt and lyrics with detailed directions of like what to do musically. And sometimes the other AI program that makes the music will follow the instructions, but then other times it's like, no, not so much. What program do you use to make the music?
[01:32:57] AI tubo. Okay. And, um, Every once in a while it's like, and now it's time to play the beat back. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And usually for every one song that works, there's about 20 that don't. So I, it takes, it's not just, I mean, it is to some extent put putting just plugging the thing into the thing, but what makes it fun.
[01:33:26] And I hope what makes it interesting is my ability to listen to things and go, okay, it needs to be tweaked like this amount, you know?
[01:34:03] Yeah. And then you can use that to learn. Okay. And then you could set parameters, like how, how the same, the voices and how like emotional expressiveness. Sure. So there's a lot of things you can do to like make it break itself. I've also been making, uh, J pop death metal with AI using, um, uh, using emojis as lyrics. Yeah. It ends up being very strange. Interesting. Yeah.
[01:34:32] These tools are really cool. My favorite thing. My favorite thing Dan has ever done is Asher doing, doing kickflips in the background and Walt going, Oh, Oh, that's because you have a strange sense of humor, Eric. That's why, but that's okay. Tag. You knew what you were getting into. Right. I, I, I liked that Asher had Walt Disney and just kept talking about himself.
[01:35:02] Right. And Walt Disney was very impressed by him. Anyway, I've returned from the grave. What would you like to say to me? And Asher's like, let me look, let me do some skateboard tricks. Do you want to watch me spin around this chair? Are we all excited to see what the animatronic of Walt looks like when it shows up in July? Nope. Yes. Yeah. Ah, they can't win with this, right?
[01:35:31] Like there's no people are going to be mad, but I feel like it's going to be like when they did the changes to it's a small world, everybody's going to be outraged. Then they're going to look at it. They're gonna be like, okay, it's not so bad. They're gonna be better than they'll forget.
