[00:00:16] Welcome to The Supreme Resort, Land v World, a podcast about Disneyland and Walt Disney World,

[00:00:20] and which is the Supreme v sort.

[00:00:26] Each episode we will discuss and explore each resort, right by right,

[00:00:30] Land by Land Park by Park, sick dance move by sick dance move to explore,

[00:00:34] which is better Disneyland or Walt Disney World.

[00:00:37] I'm Dan, and thank you for joining me on this quest to help the greater good of humanity.

[00:00:42] That's that very long elusive question.

[00:00:45] Which one's better?

[00:00:47] Join me as always from scraping the wall, we have Jimmy.

[00:00:49] Hi, I'm about to join the Australian Breakdance in team.

[00:00:52] I got the moves.

[00:00:53] Ooh!

[00:00:55] And from the hit podcast, Bowie's Blaming, as well as several other podcasts, Eric.

[00:01:01] I don't have any sick moves.

[00:01:03] Sorry.

[00:01:04] Okay.

[00:01:04] Well, that's something we can work on when we get to the let's dance era of the other.

[00:01:08] Yes, and.

[00:01:08] All right.

[00:01:09] Yep.

[00:01:10] I just want to dress the elephant in the room.

[00:01:13] I'm sure everyone's heard by now that we are in fact Russian assets, and we have been given several thousand dollars for every episode of our podcast.

[00:01:24] That just sorry everybody.

[00:01:28] What would you apologize?

[00:01:29] Georgia does border Tennessee.

[00:01:31] Well, I think I think one of the problems is that Putin was confused by that by Georgia, by you being in Georgia.

[00:01:39] But anything that was the other Georgia.

[00:01:42] I think you thought I was the other Georgia.

[00:01:44] Oh, so I mean, we don't, I don't think they understand that we do a theme park podcast.

[00:01:48] So no big deal.

[00:01:50] We're not going to get the money back or not, because I'm taking it.

[00:01:53] But I mean, all right, breaks are what they are.

[00:01:58] Yep.

[00:01:59] Anyway, what do you, what else do you have?

[00:02:03] What I'll say something both at the same time.

[00:02:08] How about that Disney land?

[00:02:10] Yeah, Disney world.

[00:02:14] Dan, how are you?

[00:02:16] Great.

[00:02:17] When should I trip to Disneyland?

[00:02:18] Oh, my next trip is in October.

[00:02:22] October, first week in an October, and I'm staying at the wind room for my friends, but I very first time.

[00:02:28] Very exciting.

[00:02:28] I have to give us a full dance frosted tips.

[00:02:32] Coincidentally, I'm going to just bump in the, the concierge spot right now.

[00:02:37] Listener Kristen just reached out asking to book a trip for her friend,

[00:02:43] she and her friend at the end of January of 2025.

[00:02:47] And they're looking at a particular budget and gave some choices.

[00:02:50] And they're going to put the clarion, the clarion hotel, which is somewhere between a half

[00:02:54] mile and a mile south on Harbor.

[00:02:56] We have to stay there.

[00:02:57] Yeah, we booked for them before and they liked it.

[00:03:00] And it's within the budget and book in a way.

[00:03:02] I just got the text literally moments ago saying that she wants to do the clarion.

[00:03:06] Let's do it.

[00:03:06] Nice.

[00:03:07] When I find interesting and particularly tempting about staying there,

[00:03:11] is it's like literally across the street from the toy story.

[00:03:16] Parking lots.

[00:03:17] You could just always keep it in bus.

[00:03:20] Or if you want to, there's also an art stop like right there.

[00:03:24] I have a confusing relationship with art.

[00:03:27] But sometimes when it works, it's great.

[00:03:29] It's all sound.

[00:03:32] And to be clear, not an old friendly man art, but the Anahean rep it transit.

[00:03:38] I didn't know they had a stop there.

[00:03:39] I know art stops his bus there.

[00:03:43] The friend, oh friend.

[00:03:44] Oh friend.

[00:03:45] You were talking about the friend the old man.

[00:03:46] Oh, yeah, the, the, the van that he has with no wind.

[00:03:49] Literally no windows other than just a windshield.

[00:03:53] And spray, spray, spray, spray it on the side bus.

[00:03:57] With two s's.

[00:04:01] It's like, all right.

[00:04:03] Yeah, you're never looking down before.

[00:04:05] He makes good hot dogs as motor.

[00:04:08] So I mean, what's that?

[00:04:11] Motor warmed up.

[00:04:13] The trick is to not get them too hot.

[00:04:17] He just has them and a little sack in the top of the engine.

[00:04:22] And you know, by about 11 AM to get nice and, you know,

[00:04:27] just a nice bunch too.

[00:04:29] You're not going to tell you how, but yes.

[00:04:34] They reach a very nice delicious, you know, 100 or so degrees.

[00:04:41] I need 0.6 to be exact.

[00:04:47] Anyway, food has to be Joe.

[00:04:49] Sorry, the best.

[00:04:51] That's a good question.

[00:04:52] If you're on a budget, if you have an idea what you want to do,

[00:04:55] I sent her multiple options.

[00:04:57] Here's if you want to stay across the street.

[00:04:58] Here's your budget, if you want to stay down the road,

[00:05:01] and that's what we landed.

[00:05:02] So that's one of the services we can provide at concierge.com 856 hour years.

[00:05:07] Let us book a trip for you costs uniting extra.

[00:05:12] And it's a pleasure for us.

[00:05:13] Another friend of the show Eli reached out.

[00:05:17] He wants to go at Christmas time.

[00:05:19] And was asking about the new lightning lane fiasco.

[00:05:27] Yeah, how is it going?

[00:05:28] How does it work?

[00:05:28] I was able to explain, well, if you're staying on property,

[00:05:31] you get seven days of advance booking,

[00:05:32] and you can book through the whole duration of your stay.

[00:05:35] If you're not staying on property,

[00:05:37] you only get three days in advance.

[00:05:38] Just the world.

[00:05:39] Yes, Disney World, sorry.

[00:05:41] Thank you.

[00:05:42] Anyway, so we went through that.

[00:05:44] And if you're interested in more, we have a full article

[00:05:46] with all the, you know, what to know that sort of thing

[00:05:49] that we can email you for free.

[00:05:51] So if you have questions about how that's going to work,

[00:05:53] Disney lines are not changing,

[00:05:54] so don't worry about it.

[00:05:55] Disney World has changed.

[00:05:57] There's still kind of going through some growing pains.

[00:05:59] But those are the kind of things we can help you with

[00:06:01] and it doesn't cost you an extra.

[00:06:02] So 856 hour years.

[00:06:04] And let's move on Daniel.

[00:06:06] Do we have any mail today?

[00:06:07] Okay.

[00:06:08] All right.

[00:06:09] Actually, we do.

[00:06:10] We have something as arrived in a dance mail bag of mail.

[00:06:17] Hey, welcome.

[00:06:18] Welcome back to the mail.

[00:06:20] What time is this particular email is from?

[00:06:26] A person who wrote it.

[00:06:28] Dear Supreme Resort, I'm writing with Grave Concert

[00:06:30] about the outrageous changes to the neverland

[00:06:33] Tribes scene in Peter Pan's flight.

[00:06:35] As someone who has done extensive research into the true

[00:06:38] Vince of Peter Pan, I cannot stand by while our history is erased.

[00:06:42] This is not just a write-up date.

[00:06:44] This is an assault on the facts of Neverland's past.

[00:06:49] First, removing the cheap and his head dress

[00:06:52] is a complete distortion of historical

[00:06:55] accurateness.

[00:06:57] The chief was crucial in guiding the interactions

[00:07:01] between Peter, the lost boys and the pirates.

[00:07:04] Replacing him with benign-looking drummers that's

[00:07:07] in quotes is insulting to the real events

[00:07:10] that took place in Neverland.

[00:07:12] Then there's Tiger Lily.

[00:07:14] She was common poised representing peace

[00:07:16] between her tribe and the lost boys.

[00:07:18] Now she's being shown dancing alongside her grandmother.

[00:07:22] Where is this in the historical archives?

[00:07:26] This never happened.

[00:07:27] These changes are rewriting history,

[00:07:29] making Peter Pan's true story look like some fairy tale.

[00:07:33] I'm honestly shocked that the Supreme Resort

[00:07:35] hasn't raised the alarm on this.

[00:07:37] You claimed to be theme park experts,

[00:07:39] but you're letting the true story of Peter Pan get wiped out.

[00:07:42] I urge you to speak out against these inaccuracies

[00:07:45] before it's too late, sincerely, round a lair deck.

[00:07:50] I just think it's appropriate Dan to just thank our sponsors.

[00:07:54] Yes, again.

[00:07:55] We appreciate the sponsorship.

[00:07:58] You know what else Dan before we talk about this?

[00:08:00] Because it is important.

[00:08:02] I think did you ever see Rocky for?

[00:08:05] That's the one where he beats up Russia, right?

[00:08:07] That's right. I just wanted to say that Rocky was the villain in that.

[00:08:11] Oh, I think Drago was the hero and Rocky was the villain.

[00:08:15] Wow.

[00:08:17] I, yes, thank you, thank you to our sponsors.

[00:08:20] Thank you.

[00:08:21] Yeah.

[00:08:22] Peter opinions on Rocky.

[00:08:23] You know what? I haven't thought about that before.

[00:08:25] And I think that clearly Rocky is a, he's a capitalist pick.

[00:08:32] And that's right.

[00:08:34] He went into the air and trusted my views that I've expressed.

[00:08:39] Anyway, Dan, let's address the, uh, the mail.

[00:08:41] We should we address the mail?

[00:08:44] Yeah.

[00:08:45] Yeah, well, it was sent to my email address.

[00:08:49] That's a mail joke, everybody.

[00:08:52] Yeah, so apparently they are changing the scene in Peter Pan's flight.

[00:08:58] They have, I think already at,

[00:09:00] it's also the world.

[00:09:01] And they will be at Disneyland.

[00:09:04] And of course, the internet loves it because the internet is

[00:09:07] adaptable and willing to accept when things are fiction

[00:09:11] and when they are not.

[00:09:13] Hey, if you want to, if you want to see old school stuff, just go to Tokyo.

[00:09:18] That's right.

[00:09:18] It's place where the real splash mountain.

[00:09:20] They've got higher, it's a rape in everybody.

[00:09:23] Yeah, rape, rape pirates,

[00:09:25] uh, red, red Indians.

[00:09:28] I'm putting them that in the box.

[00:09:30] So to that end,

[00:09:32] neverland is a fictional place.

[00:09:34] It never did exist.

[00:09:36] Right.

[00:09:36] It is obviously depicting parts of culture that we as

[00:09:43] girafflings understand and in neverland, this fictional place,

[00:09:49] they also had what presumably are natives.

[00:09:52] So even in a fantasy world, we've colonized.

[00:09:56] Oh no.

[00:09:58] Well, it's a problem.

[00:09:58] I'm going to see that way.

[00:10:00] So let's just assume there was a need.

[00:10:02] A nightmare.

[00:10:06] So what is the problem?

[00:10:09] Like, what's the catalyst?

[00:10:12] Like, in sensitivity in over generalizing and stereotyping.

[00:10:16] That's, I get it.

[00:10:18] I think that the people seem to be upset.

[00:10:22] And I really, this, this is a weird thing for me because I saw the story

[00:10:28] our, our, our bestie Tom Coralist posted it on his just thing.

[00:10:32] And I thought, okay, this is going to be interesting because they're not

[00:10:36] removing the same.

[00:10:38] They're changing it and actually, I mean,

[00:10:42] I don't know if better or worse, I can get to say lateral move in terms of like

[00:10:46] the actual quality of the entertainment happening.

[00:10:50] But in terms of like making it, you know, less overtly potentially offensive.

[00:10:57] I don't think it was ever like outwardly like trying to hurt.

[00:11:03] No, but it was detecting potentially a scene from the movie.

[00:11:08] Yeah.

[00:11:08] And the scene may be not great.

[00:11:11] Let's be honest with him.

[00:11:12] Let's be honest with him.

[00:11:13] The first half of the movie is why you watch the movie after that,

[00:11:16] you know, just, after that, the, the, the sleep over gets into like,

[00:11:22] let's play video games mode.

[00:11:24] Um, I, so I remember seeing it and thinking like, okay,

[00:11:31] surely nobody will be upset by this because they're not actually removing anything.

[00:11:36] They're just changing it.

[00:11:38] And then of course, they were like, this is an outrage.

[00:11:44] How dare you take away my, my, my history of this, this is red.

[00:11:49] And I was just like, so it's, it really is just you want people to be potentially offended.

[00:11:57] That that's that's that's what it has to be at this point.

[00:12:00] I guess.

[00:12:02] So what else?

[00:12:02] I Eric pointed if he, it is the movie exists.

[00:12:08] And I'm sure that there's a disclaimer at the beginning of the movie.

[00:12:10] Some of the reasons I said it, whatever.

[00:12:12] And you can't change the movie as a piece of, let's call it a piece of art.

[00:12:19] He's not George Lucas, right?

[00:12:21] Right.

[00:12:21] So let's just, let's just, let's just, you're not going to change the movie.

[00:12:24] You're going to put this claim or it's a part of our history, right?

[00:12:27] This film.

[00:12:28] Go to their credit.

[00:12:29] They're not changing the movie.

[00:12:30] Right.

[00:12:31] Exactly.

[00:12:31] You guys, this is what happened.

[00:12:32] This was a moment in time.

[00:12:33] This is a story, whatever.

[00:12:36] Disney land and by extension, Disney theme parks to paraphrase.

[00:12:39] Well, Disney will never be complete.

[00:12:40] It'll always be changing, imagination left in the world, et cetera.

[00:12:44] It's change.

[00:12:46] And if they were to change, let's just say for example, Dan that the,

[00:12:51] never, no excuse me, the London scene, you're flying over the London scene, right?

[00:12:55] Mm-hmm.

[00:12:55] And Big Ben attached to the Parliament building is really close to the Tower Bridge.

[00:13:03] And let's just say they moved the Tower Bridge down to feet.

[00:13:07] To make it more, you know, more geographically accurate.

[00:13:12] Right?

[00:13:12] There's not one email, there's not one blog post like nobody,

[00:13:16] it's just a change.

[00:13:17] It's a change to make it more relevant perhaps to actual geography.

[00:13:21] It's just to change to a damn ride.

[00:13:23] Like who cares and put just a rabbit in a trench coat and I mean,

[00:13:28] buddy loses their mind.

[00:13:31] What round am I good?

[00:13:34] Let's go finish that said.

[00:13:38] Presumably that person was in a trench coat while saying it.

[00:13:41] Yeah, so just so you everyone can write their own joke.

[00:13:45] The premise of that joke is that there is a person who would write that ride specifically to a certain thing.

[00:13:53] Yes, that's right.

[00:13:55] And I'm sure that person exists.

[00:13:58] But anyway, my, I guess my stance is that change for the sake of change,

[00:14:04] whatever change for the sake of change to enhance is a good thing.

[00:14:09] Change for the sake of change that doesn't actually matter to the story,

[00:14:13] but might potentially not upset people or offend people is a good thing.

[00:14:18] I think that is yeah, I agree with that.

[00:14:21] And it's like it's still there.

[00:14:23] It's still there.

[00:14:25] You don't go on that ride for that scene.

[00:14:28] No, that's not why people go on that ride.

[00:14:30] You go on the ride because you have one guy goes on that ride for the mermaids.

[00:14:34] But that's that's a strange coat.

[00:14:37] Yeah, same guy.

[00:14:40] Yeah, again, and you take one of those mermaids away or maybe you paint one of the

[00:14:45] mermaids with black skin?

[00:14:47] Who cares?

[00:14:49] I know who is care.

[00:14:51] But again, it's a person when you go on the ride.

[00:14:55] That's not why you're there.

[00:14:56] No.

[00:14:57] And it doesn't matter.

[00:14:58] Yeah, because because you fly.

[00:15:01] That's it.

[00:15:02] That's literally that's the reason you're right there.

[00:15:05] If that ride was all of a sudden not suspended and you're going through flats like,

[00:15:11] you know, Pinocchio or whatever.

[00:15:13] Nobody goes on this ride.

[00:15:18] Just look at the boats up in the air and just walk up.

[00:15:23] Look at the other people having fun.

[00:15:25] That's right.

[00:15:26] If it's a walk through a rider line.

[00:15:27] That's right.

[00:15:29] Anyway, yeah, we can move on.

[00:15:31] I think it's a, it's silly to be upset about.

[00:15:34] I think again, it's part of a problem is the internet.

[00:15:37] It's the most, that's it is the exclusive problem because if this,

[00:15:40] this would have happened 30 years ago.

[00:15:42] Nobody would have cared.

[00:15:43] Nobody would have said anything.

[00:15:44] I think we would never even know what.

[00:15:46] People wouldn't have noticed.

[00:15:47] No one would be with you and I wouldn't have noticed.

[00:15:50] I don't think people would know ahead of time certainly.

[00:15:53] And then maybe they would see it that they change it and be like,

[00:15:56] Oh, that's interesting.

[00:15:58] That's the end.

[00:16:00] The end.

[00:16:01] Anyway, all right, appreciate the mail though.

[00:16:03] Do not, we don't discourage you from sending in these letters.

[00:16:06] So put up.

[00:16:07] There you go.

[00:16:09] Bye.

[00:16:11] All right.

[00:16:14] So we're talking about this is the episode that everyone's

[00:16:16] in waiting for.

[00:16:17] When I'm sure, I know that when you saw,

[00:16:20] I'm sure that when you saw that this podcast existed a couple years ago,

[00:16:26] and you were like, what an interesting idea.

[00:16:30] Nobody was waiting to miss.

[00:16:32] When are they going to get to Disney,

[00:16:34] two and years?

[00:16:35] Well, now is the time.

[00:16:36] Get ready.

[00:16:36] It's going to be at least a two part.

[00:16:41] And by the way, this has been a long road to getting to the Hollywood land episode.

[00:16:48] You know, when we first started, I was explain it as to a friend today.

[00:16:51] You know, we first started the show.

[00:16:53] We got like 80% of what people care about out of the

[00:16:56] way in like the first six months.

[00:16:58] And this is the other 20%.

[00:16:59] That's when I was a little bit ourselves.

[00:17:01] We shot ourselves in the foot a little bit.

[00:17:04] And then we're like, oh, we haven't done the land yet.

[00:17:05] We covered all the rides.

[00:17:06] So let's do the land.

[00:17:07] And then as it evolves, like, well, we haven't talked about the bathrooms in the land.

[00:17:12] We haven't talked about the shops.

[00:17:13] So I'm talking to the, you know, so it's evolved.

[00:17:15] So this is the longest, presumably the longest series of episodes to get to a land

[00:17:21] that we've ever done.

[00:17:23] Do we need to do the bathrooms?

[00:17:24] Oh, shoot.

[00:17:25] Because I have a lot to say it.

[00:17:27] There's Lee, there's leading lady in the starring man or whatever.

[00:17:31] That's true.

[00:17:32] Dang it.

[00:17:33] Oh, no, I've do the bathrooms.

[00:17:34] And then we can do the episode.

[00:17:36] And we're literally all so the bathrooms by the Hollywood land jury that's pretty fun.

[00:17:42] I think that's the bathroom.

[00:17:43] The bathroom's back there.

[00:17:43] Never.

[00:17:44] And then of course the bathrooms inside of the theater.

[00:17:46] Inside the theater?

[00:17:47] The Disney Junior there.

[00:17:48] And the hyperlid the state.

[00:17:50] And the other things.

[00:17:51] That thing is not hard.

[00:17:52] They were open.

[00:17:53] It doesn't really count.

[00:17:54] And then you've got the bathrooms by the tower of terror at Hollywood Studios.

[00:17:59] And we have to walk upstairs to get to them.

[00:18:02] Actual question here.

[00:18:05] Should we, do we have to wait until we do something involving the,

[00:18:09] we've already done the hyperion.

[00:18:10] Never mind with the,

[00:18:13] what was the show versus the frozen, yeah, frozen, frozen.

[00:18:17] Right.

[00:18:17] It's right with our guests.

[00:18:18] That was fun.

[00:18:19] Yeah.

[00:18:19] I don't know enough people listen to that episode.

[00:18:20] Listen, her co-back and listen to that episode.

[00:18:23] What is the worst, it was the worst second gate or other park.

[00:18:28] The worst experience being the most people.

[00:18:32] Everything by the low, the low pez is right.

[00:18:37] Nemo versus a frozen.

[00:18:39] And if I go back and listening to old episodes,

[00:18:42] be sure to check out the Hollywood Reporter.

[00:18:44] Of course.

[00:18:45] Sixth flag show and of course.

[00:18:47] And of course everyone's favorite.

[00:18:48] And of course everyone's favorite are how to match an episode.

[00:18:51] Yes, and the most patriotic thing to do at Disney Parks.

[00:18:55] But anyway that episode was the original Nemo from finding Nemo the musical

[00:18:59] and the very last Elsa from the frozen musical

[00:19:03] and they were friends and they were still are.

[00:19:05] And they were talking about effectively what's most painful.

[00:19:09] Not after our show.

[00:19:11] But it was like an episode.

[00:19:12] You should listen.

[00:19:12] Anyway, it was.

[00:19:14] All right, Dan.

[00:19:14] Disney Jr.

[00:19:15] Just a junior.

[00:19:16] It's a, it's a, it's a, it's an attraction that I have been to.

[00:19:19] Jimmy Eric, have you been to it?

[00:19:21] Nope.

[00:19:22] Or did you,

[00:19:23] In one form or another?

[00:19:25] Yes.

[00:19:26] Okay.

[00:19:27] And how many times were you supposed to go to Disney Jr?

[00:19:31] How many times do we try to do that?

[00:19:33] We stood outside of it.

[00:19:35] And then we're going to go in.

[00:19:36] The line was really long.

[00:19:38] Oh, but when the two of you went together and could have been possibly

[00:19:47] less creepy appearing than I was when I did it,

[00:19:50] when I went by myself.

[00:19:51] By yourself.

[00:19:52] We had a lady with us too.

[00:19:54] Lindsay with us.

[00:19:55] Right.

[00:19:56] That's true.

[00:19:56] You would have been officially,

[00:19:58] was not creepy just a little eccentric and weird.

[00:20:01] Whereas I, a, an obese,

[00:20:04] bald, childless man decided to go see Disney Jr on my own

[00:20:10] volition.

[00:20:12] Yeah, we get there still upset about Jessica Rabbit in the

[00:20:17] Okay.

[00:20:18] The Eric and Dan both, I thought this was interesting in my research.

[00:20:22] Not not a point.

[00:20:23] This is something that is relevant to this conversation.

[00:20:25] If you arrive,

[00:20:27] this is that Disney Jr.

[00:20:29] Disney Jr. dance part of DCA.

[00:20:31] If you arrive to find a line that extends out of the main

[00:20:36] queuing area, which we did and onto the sidewalk,

[00:20:40] which we did, you might not get into the show,

[00:20:42] which we didn't.

[00:20:43] Now here's what we should have done.

[00:20:45] Count two palm trees to the left of the theater entrance.

[00:20:49] If the line extends to the left of the second palm,

[00:20:53] you probably won't make the cut.

[00:20:55] If the line hasn't extended past the second palm tree,

[00:20:58] go ahead and get in line.

[00:20:59] Chances are about 90% that you'll be admitted to the next show.

[00:21:03] Or you could do the method that I did,

[00:21:05] which was go up way before the show starts.

[00:21:08] Talk to one of the work.

[00:21:09] Talk to one of the workers and say hi.

[00:21:12] I know it's going to be weird, so I'm just going to address it.

[00:21:16] I want to go see this show and I know that the line can get pretty big,

[00:21:20] but it's very important to me that I go in here,

[00:21:23] because it's the only thing I haven't done this park.

[00:21:26] And I'm going to now ask you an even weirder question

[00:21:28] and believe me, I know who I am.

[00:21:32] I know what this looks like.

[00:21:34] Is there a place for someone to just sit in the back?

[00:21:37] I'm going to go back and get a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit.

[00:21:41] Rest my trench coat, how much footage can I get of the children?

[00:21:46] Well, and I said, and I know how that sounds.

[00:21:50] I'm just letting you know that I don't want to be involved with the dance party.

[00:21:54] I just want to like actually, I just want to see what the show is.

[00:22:00] So you didn't dance.

[00:22:01] I tell my foot a little bit.

[00:22:02] You tap your foot a little bit.

[00:22:04] You didn't.

[00:22:05] You didn't even do the arm movements.

[00:22:08] No, I'm not sure.

[00:22:09] How are there was?

[00:22:10] And I'm really sad that this video didn't survive on my phone,

[00:22:14] because there was this one person and God bless this person.

[00:22:18] They embraced this so so much.

[00:22:21] And I want to just send that this to both of you,

[00:22:24] because I was like, this person is one of us.

[00:22:27] It's this, I'm guessing, newish mom,

[00:22:30] who has a baby in one of those babyholder things

[00:22:35] that you have in front of you.

[00:22:36] I have never actually, I don't know what the things are called.

[00:22:38] Baby Bjorn.

[00:22:39] Okay, a Bjorn.

[00:22:42] And a younger child, not younger than the baby,

[00:22:45] because I mean, that's crazy, right?

[00:22:47] But younger than her is what I met.

[00:22:50] A child, a child age child, right?

[00:22:53] Who was kind of like dancing around and playing with friends.

[00:22:57] And she was like, this woman was end to it.

[00:23:01] Like, you could tell that she knew what this was.

[00:23:03] That it wasn't like, yeah, Disney Junior dance from a choose like whatever.

[00:23:07] Like, she's a dancing around.

[00:23:10] It's like, it may as well have been a rave for her.

[00:23:12] But with this look on her face, like, yeah, I know.

[00:23:17] I forgot, you know, we're near apparent with young children

[00:23:20] that the smallest of things get exciting.

[00:23:23] Yeah, especially when your kids are excited.

[00:23:25] And Dan, it's a baby Bjorn not a baby Bjork, just so we're clear.

[00:23:28] Oh, okay, I'm curious.

[00:23:30] What would a baby Bjork be like?

[00:23:32] Well, it would be dressed in meat.

[00:23:35] And you would have a lot of symphonies in its first album.

[00:23:38] I saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice last night and

[00:23:41] there's a baby that Beetlejuice that is all I'm gonna say.

[00:23:44] Oh, oh.

[00:23:45] It's exactly what you would imagine it would be.

[00:23:47] Anyway, let's not want to apologize for Jimmy if Beetlejuice

[00:23:50] has a beard in your home.

[00:23:52] No, I just said a twice.

[00:23:53] Now you said it in a second third time.

[00:23:55] Dang it.

[00:23:55] No.

[00:23:56] Oh, oh.

[00:24:00] I'll have to go great start.

[00:24:02] Yes, sir.

[00:24:03] Dan, what noises do we hear when good things happen?

[00:24:07] Okay, well, which one?

[00:24:08] Well, which came first.

[00:24:10] Eric?

[00:24:11] It's a great question.

[00:24:12] Years came first, Eric.

[00:24:13] You're just going to open in soft opening in 2001.

[00:24:16] Not at all a problematic time in the fall of 2000.

[00:24:18] Yeah, and I guess the building has been there since the park opened,

[00:24:23] which is definitely before this building, my version

[00:24:27] opened in 2003.

[00:24:29] So the his king first.

[00:24:31] Yes.

[00:24:31] So if Eric says something about his Disney Junior dance

[00:24:34] party that I find worth celebrating, let's say you're going

[00:24:39] to hear this sound.

[00:24:41] All right, everyone, let's maintain our physical distance.

[00:24:44] Okay, and that is that is of course Dr. Fauci

[00:24:51] and early spring 2020, who's one of his first

[00:24:55] press conferences.

[00:24:56] As I practice.

[00:24:58] No, it is pretty much.

[00:25:01] Yeah, it's one of the one of the videos that I found particularly

[00:25:06] enjoyable because this this dude was really trying hard to

[00:25:11] make this dance party fun when there were 10 people in the room

[00:25:14] and they couldn't stand next to each other.

[00:25:17] We've been on I assume.

[00:25:19] What's that?

[00:25:20] Ed masks on I assume.

[00:25:22] Oh yeah, yeah.

[00:25:23] I love that so by the way, on both my side and Eric's side,

[00:25:28] I want to welcome all the listeners to the background noise episode

[00:25:31] of the spring resort.

[00:25:33] Yeah, we can have good.

[00:25:34] I got some chair things going on.

[00:25:35] Okay, let's embrace it.

[00:25:37] Yeah, everybody's got chairs.

[00:25:38] Everybody's got dogs.

[00:25:39] I'd be great.

[00:25:40] I'm a wonderful editing this.

[00:25:43] No, I'm just saying don't put yourself through that.

[00:25:46] I have stuff going on.

[00:25:47] You guys stuff going on.

[00:25:49] But it's just that's so funny to me because that means to me

[00:25:52] that like they're like, okay, well, what needs to be reopened

[00:25:55] when we reopen the bar?

[00:25:57] Oh yeah, definitely doesn't need junior dance part.

[00:25:59] Disney Junior needs to be there.

[00:26:01] My goodness.

[00:26:03] If we don't, if Chad isn't around to do the dancing,

[00:26:07] what do we why even open the park?

[00:26:10] We definitely need to have 10 children dancing around

[00:26:15] and in closed room in designated spaces,

[00:26:18] which you know children are very fond of.

[00:26:20] They're very loving.

[00:26:23] And they really good at keeping their hands to themselves.

[00:26:26] They love it.

[00:26:26] It's their favorite thing.

[00:26:28] They're not interested in any people or each other.

[00:26:31] Not at all interested in any of their orifices

[00:26:34] in their face or the any of the liquids or solids that come out of them.

[00:26:40] Jimmy, if you say something interesting that I enjoy

[00:26:45] will hear this sound.

[00:26:47] That's the real trouble with the world too many people grow up.

[00:26:50] And that is Walt Disney.

[00:26:53] They said quote that I found from Walt Disney

[00:26:56] that was read by someone that wasn't Walt Disney.

[00:27:00] And AI generated version of Walt Disney reading a quote that somebody else read

[00:27:04] that Walt Disney said.

[00:27:07] But we see the age we live in people.

[00:27:09] We used Asher's connections with Walt Disney to get that quote.

[00:27:16] How is this?

[00:27:17] This is what you're doing in the afterlife, by the way.

[00:27:20] Have you talked to Walt Disney?

[00:27:21] Asher's still alive.

[00:27:22] Well, he's I thought that he was just visiting the afterlife

[00:27:25] and that's where he met Walt.

[00:27:26] Oh well, that I don't know how they, I don't know what kind of communication they have

[00:27:29] but I would imagine that I don't know.

[00:27:33] Honestly, Asher might not have been at all interested

[00:27:36] in continuing talking Walt Disney.

[00:27:38] He probably, I mean, he thought he was a oracle-ridenbacher

[00:27:41] if we're being really honest.

[00:27:43] So yeah, yeah.

[00:27:45] Yeah, well, we're talking about listening to, I know we finished that a while ago.

[00:27:50] A listen to our April Fool's episode from a few years ago,

[00:27:53] two years ago, where Asher and Terence and Beverly

[00:27:57] from years of that same Walt Disney.

[00:28:00] They met Walt.

[00:28:01] Yeah.

[00:28:01] And Asher did some sick clips on his skateboard.

[00:28:06] It was very impressed.

[00:28:09] Oh, Terence took him back.

[00:28:12] One two twice.

[00:28:15] Anyway, all right.

[00:28:18] How do we want to start this air, aircube came first?

[00:28:21] So it's still over view.

[00:28:22] It's your fault first.

[00:28:24] Let's go.

[00:28:24] Okay, it's my fault first.

[00:28:25] All right.

[00:28:26] When Disney MGM Studios first opened in this particular area,

[00:28:33] this was the, well, this still is the animation courtyard despite no

[00:28:36] animation happening here for quite some time.

[00:28:40] We're including this in our Hollywood area partly because it's next to it

[00:28:44] and partly because of DCA, I would say.

[00:28:48] Can we why we're doing it?

[00:28:49] What's that?

[00:28:50] Convenience.

[00:28:50] We're doing it for convenience.

[00:28:51] Convenience.

[00:28:52] Okay, yes.

[00:28:52] There we go.

[00:28:53] This particular area was the sound stage restaurant

[00:28:57] and the catwalk bar.

[00:29:00] Yeah.

[00:29:00] Yes, meow.

[00:29:02] The end class.

[00:29:03] Oh, you beat it.

[00:29:05] That's good.

[00:29:08] Yeah.

[00:29:09] The, the sound stage restaurant was originally set up to duplicate a typical

[00:29:16] rap party.

[00:29:17] Now that's in, and that's in quotes.

[00:29:20] Rap not, not is in, not is in rapping, but a rap.

[00:29:23] Rap and a class WRAP.

[00:29:25] Yes, as like just like Santa Claus, right?

[00:29:28] So you're saying that this was not theme to Santa Claus, even though the evidence

[00:29:32] seems to point in the opposite direction.

[00:29:34] Everything keeps coming back to Santa Claus this week, everybody.

[00:29:37] Listen, there's a theater on the same page with us.

[00:29:40] We decided before we pressed record that Santa was a kitty cat.

[00:29:44] No, we were recording.

[00:29:45] Listen to after-out.

[00:29:46] Oh, that's right.

[00:29:49] Oh, gosh.

[00:29:50] Well, it themed to recreate a rap party,

[00:29:56] which as Bernbaum explains here,

[00:29:59] a final feed celebrating the end of shooting a film.

[00:30:02] In case you didn't know what that was.

[00:30:05] Yes, enter the 560 seat restaurant through the back of a set

[00:30:10] inspired by touchstone film, touchedstone film, big business.

[00:30:16] Wow.

[00:30:17] With those are all words that used to mean something.

[00:30:21] Yeah, that's crazy.

[00:30:23] Think about the time and the place.

[00:30:26] Who starred in big business?

[00:30:29] Pet middler.

[00:30:31] Absolutely.

[00:30:32] Nothing.

[00:30:33] Now was okay, hold on.

[00:30:34] Was that an actual memory or were you just thinking,

[00:30:38] were you just shuffling through the most likely Disney stars at that time?

[00:30:43] Act, actual memory.

[00:30:44] Okay.

[00:30:44] Oh, wow.

[00:30:45] All right.

[00:30:45] I didn't see it.

[00:30:46] I just can see the poster and combination of both.

[00:30:50] Not bad.

[00:30:51] That's right.

[00:30:51] Right.

[00:30:52] Yes, it starred, bet middler and Lily Tomlin,

[00:30:56] Fred Ward Edward Herman, just reading games here.

[00:31:00] You are.

[00:31:01] If you continue reading those names, then like it's almost like reading some ancient

[00:31:05] Tom or like.

[00:31:09] We will actually relive 1994 if you continue to end this right.

[00:31:14] Oh no, it's not in more.

[00:31:17] But yeah, so this building on the outside,

[00:31:20] like so many of the buildings at MGM, Disney MGM.

[00:31:26] It's a large studio looking building.

[00:31:29] It's just a big box.

[00:31:31] But on the outside, it looks like they're making it look like a sound stage.

[00:31:35] They've got catwalks.

[00:31:36] They have movie set lights out there.

[00:31:41] And yeah, inside it was pretty much the same,

[00:31:45] but it's set up as if you were at this rap party.

[00:31:49] And yeah, part of the room was a hotel lobby set.

[00:31:57] The waiters and waitresses were in black and white catering costumes.

[00:32:04] And yeah, it was just a food court, basically.

[00:32:07] You could get pizza, Italian stuff, you could get sandwiches.

[00:32:12] That sort of place.

[00:32:13] Years later, they refamed the sound stage restaurant

[00:32:16] to become a character meal and they changed the set's

[00:32:21] to look like Aladdin.

[00:32:23] Can I say this is a hell of an opening statement?

[00:32:26] Oh, do we do opening statements anymore?

[00:32:29] You're doing the same thing.

[00:32:30] I usually do it to find out.

[00:32:31] OK, I just launched into the history.

[00:32:33] Yeah, by the way, big business.

[00:32:35] It's got 52% on the tomato mometer.

[00:32:41] Just want to say that.

[00:32:42] That's pretty hot.

[00:32:43] Thank you.

[00:32:44] Roger Ebert, let's see what it Roger Ebert say.

[00:32:46] So we're going to move into each other.

[00:32:48] Can be funny.

[00:32:49] But when they just miss, where are we supposed to do?

[00:32:53] Slap our knees and say, Lord of Mighty, they

[00:32:55] turn their ran into each other and wouldn't that have been funny?

[00:32:59] Yeah, I don't think he liked the movie.

[00:33:01] Cut his thumbs off for this one.

[00:33:05] Well, should I do an opening statement?

[00:33:08] Should I retroactively do an opening statement?

[00:33:10] Should I do an opening statement?

[00:33:11] Should I have a hand in the mirror?

[00:33:12] Nobody can.

[00:33:13] I didn't write it well.

[00:33:13] No.

[00:33:15] I don't usually write mine.

[00:33:20] Welcome to this brief resort.

[00:33:25] Well, yeah, we're given all of our attention to this one,

[00:33:33] this week, folks.

[00:33:35] To be fair, it's not that we haven't put thought into it as far as I can tell.

[00:33:40] It's just that it's Disney, Jr. dance party.

[00:33:42] That's right.

[00:33:43] Right.

[00:33:43] I want to talk about as many things that aren't Disney Jr. dance party as I can.

[00:33:47] Let me too, me too, because once we get there, there's not much to talk about.

[00:33:51] Let's see.

[00:33:53] So that restaurant hung around for quite some time until...

[00:34:01] There we go, 1998.

[00:34:03] These soundstage restaurant closed for good to make room for a show, the bear in the big

[00:34:11] house.

[00:34:12] I remember that one.

[00:34:15] Now, above, I mentioned the catwalk bar, which was above the restaurant and you could look down

[00:34:20] onto the restaurant from the catwalk bar.

[00:34:23] You accessed this through a staircase or the elevator inside the brown derby.

[00:34:29] Those still exist, but now this area is closed off and is the

[00:34:35] is the park's club 33 location.

[00:34:39] At the at the time, you could go up there and look down on the restaurant.

[00:34:44] Once the restaurant closed and became the show, the catwalk bar stayed open for a few more years,

[00:34:51] but it was not open during the day when they were running the show,

[00:34:54] you could not sit up there and drink and lear at all of the people sitting around watching the show.

[00:35:03] So they restricted its hours and eventually that closed down as well.

[00:35:10] And since then, it has become Disney Junior live on stage where

[00:35:17] that was 2001.

[00:35:19] I don't believe that's what it's called.

[00:35:22] Well, Disney, it was a Disney studio.

[00:35:27] Disney Junior live on stage for a little while.

[00:35:29] What is it called now, Jimmy?

[00:35:31] While you're looking, I will read the opening statement that Chad G.P.T generated for you.

[00:35:36] Oh, Disney Junior dance party, while Disney World outshines its counterpart at Disney

[00:35:39] California Adventure numerous ways, making it the superior choice for families looking for

[00:35:44] an interactive engaging experience.

[00:35:46] While Disney World's version offers a more spacious venue with enhanced staging lighting and

[00:35:50] sound effects, creating a more immersive atmosphere for both children and adults.

[00:35:56] Basically, it's just giving you your argument, so I'm not going to read anymore.

[00:36:00] There you go. No, it is, oh gosh, that's interesting.

[00:36:05] On one part of the site, it is Disney Junior live on stage, but currently, when you click on that

[00:36:14] and bring it up in the app, it is Disney Junior Play-ins dance.

[00:36:18] So Jimmy's right, it is named different things, confusing as syllables.

[00:36:23] So that makes sense.

[00:36:24] Live on stage, play and dance.

[00:36:26] And there's an exclamation point, which is great.

[00:36:29] And Junior is a big deal.

[00:36:31] So you know it's fun. The exclamation point is, if that wasn't there, yes, you're right. You

[00:36:35] wouldn't know it was fun. It was fun or exciting or interactive.

[00:36:40] Yeah, that was the history and dance opening statement for me.

[00:36:46] Yep, and closing arguments if I heard that correctly.

[00:36:49] Pretty much.

[00:36:49] Yep. Let's see.

[00:36:54] Right. By the way, Eddie Harrison says of big business.

[00:36:57] Midler is in her element here. She's the motor that keeps big business on track to deliver

[00:37:03] on the promise of double trouble.

[00:37:07] She's only one of the, one of the, the troubles.

[00:37:11] Right, Lily Tom one is the second trouble.

[00:37:13] Are Lily didn't hold up her part?

[00:37:17] Oh, I get it. They're twins because it looks on the on the poster. It says

[00:37:21] that midler, Lily Tom one, and Lily Tom one and Beth Midler.

[00:37:26] Hmm.

[00:37:27] Probably Beth Midler, best blast name, but most ask your favorite,

[00:37:32] little blast name for someone ever.

[00:37:34] Midler, Midler. Wow.

[00:37:36] Just wow. You're gonna, you're gonna anger a lot of musicals.

[00:37:40] You know what? A lot of isners. Midler, Manex, come at me.

[00:37:46] Hello. Midler, Axe Midler.

[00:37:49] This is from Kyle E.

[00:37:51] user for Rotten to Manus. Warning spoilers. Big business has always been a movie.

[00:37:56] I love watching from time to time.

[00:37:58] I will say that Lily Tom and Beth Midler never let me down as they got into their

[00:38:02] completely ludicrous wacky antics that pay tribute to the old slapstick humor.

[00:38:07] The old slapstick humor without being too in your face.

[00:38:10] Beth Midler came out to be the strongest of the two at this time, though.

[00:38:14] And her performance is again what makes the film.

[00:38:17] Her character is, so I was right, we're just so lovable and Beth Midler's

[00:38:21] Yodal scene. That's the spoiler.

[00:38:23] Was my favorite scene of the movie?

[00:38:25] One humongous personal problem I found with the movie.

[00:38:29] And they practically, this was the only thing wrong with the film,

[00:38:33] was I think they should have let more time for the final meeting scene between all four of them.

[00:38:39] I mean, they finally find their twins and then it has like four minutes for them to each talk

[00:38:45] to each to talk to each other and then goes off.

[00:38:49] Uh, they could have let us see more.

[00:38:52] You know, anyway, I found big business to be good and was just a nice

[00:38:57] point film to watch indeed five stars. So it's a movie where each of were bit midler and

[00:39:05] Lily Tom would both play twins.

[00:39:08] I'm glad you're stepping into what I sort of stepped into there, which is that

[00:39:12] they're both twins who know each other. They're not twins of each other.

[00:39:16] So there's two sets of twins. Each of them already are any

[00:39:21] other's lives in a way that would warrant a movie being made. But no, the twins life.

[00:39:27] But they aren't, they don't know that they don't have another twin who also knows the other

[00:39:33] twin. Gotcha, but they were destined to be friends. It's in their blood.

[00:39:38] Yes, that's so.

[00:39:41] Disney Junior Dance Party is a live show located at Disney California Adventure and Anaheim.

[00:39:48] Your attention, please.

[00:39:52] Disney Junior Dance Party is a live show located at Disney's California Adventure and Anaheim.

[00:39:58] This interactive show based on popular Disney Junior Television programs is designed

[00:40:02] to captivate young audiences and their families through music, dancing, and beloved Disney characters.

[00:40:10] An important message. Mickey's trick and treat will replace Disney Junior Dance Party

[00:40:16] during Halloween time at the Disneyland Resort. August 23, October 31,

[00:40:21] 24, Disney Junior Dance Party will return November 1, 2024, the defense dress and treat

[00:40:28] like goodness. That's how it's gonna trick you and these gonna treat. Yeah. So mine's closed the end

[00:40:36] 856 R.E.R.Ears. Other shows. David Keys from Senifile.org says that big business is

[00:40:46] odd, oddity of in-sessent proportions. A comedy with few laughs but many unwanted

[00:40:52] chuckles, which lives in dies on the notion its silly premise will at least be vague enough

[00:40:58] to provide its actors with great opportunities to improvise. That was a fresh review.

[00:41:07] Okay, so this show opened April 11, 2003. The California version of the show

[00:41:13] follows the same pattern as the Florida version Disney Junior live on stage.

[00:41:20] Before that, the theater was originally home to the ABC soap opera bistro from the park's opening

[00:41:27] date until November 3rd, 2002. When did DCA open? That's right, spring of 2001.

[00:41:35] When did this close? That's right, fall of 2002. This is the superstar limo of restaurants.

[00:41:41] So hold on, just in case people have forgotten how seasons work. This would be spring

[00:41:48] and then we have summer. Summer. Let's count spring as a season.

[00:41:54] It's one.

[00:41:58] So it was over a year. 18 months.

[00:42:02] Okay. Okay. Due to its unpopularity however, the restaurant closed to make way for playhouse

[00:42:08] Disney live on stage, which was essentially the 2001 edition from Disney's Hollywood Studios,

[00:42:13] then known as Disney AMG Studios. Before being updated over the years, up till a transition of

[00:42:19] playhouse Disney to Disney Junior. Since I mentioned ABC soap opera bistro,

[00:42:28] I would like to go not for points but for educating our lovely audience. What was the ABC soap

[00:42:36] opera bistro? I would love to hear about this. Let me tell you all about it. Get ready, get ready,

[00:42:43] to dine dramatically. Step into ABC's hot daytime dramas, port Charles, all my children,

[00:42:52] one life to live and general hospital. This table service restaurant is just past the Hollywood

[00:42:58] pictures backlot and elephants. That's right. Only it's not called the ABC daytime drama bistro.

[00:43:05] It's called the ABC soap opera bistro. Eric, do you know why? It's called soap operas?

[00:43:14] I because of the old advertising because the detergent manufacturers who sponsor daily

[00:43:21] cereals about and cereals not like you eat with a sea, about interconnected love,

[00:43:28] lives first on the radio then on television soap operas were called such because the soap company

[00:43:35] sponsored them. Before you go inside, take a look at the menus. Are we going to play the menu game?

[00:43:49] You can have so it appetizers and appetizers. You can have yep green with envy.

[00:43:58] This is the award winners of menus and then of course there's the main affairs.

[00:44:04] If I remember correctly everything there was like insanely expensive for the time.

[00:44:12] Yeah, this is 2001 and then of course you can get lunch. It's called lunch on the set with perfect couples.

[00:44:21] Greens with envy because they're on trees out.

[00:44:24] Main affairs and the adventure meals for the kids. Okay, so this is a typical dinner menu.

[00:44:31] I'm just going to read some of these menu items. I'm just going to go with so for example,

[00:44:37] tuna in tomorrow. Oh my god.

[00:44:41] Canniving Calamari. Cheating chickens a tay. What a ham pizza.

[00:44:51] That's some of the appetizers you can get. Today's featured soup. I mean what? Get it?

[00:44:58] No. Anyway, and then you can get one life to live. One leaf to live.

[00:45:04] Selling. God that's that is that's a struggle. Let's see some of the main affairs.

[00:45:11] Hunky rib eye steak. Plot twist pasta. Sassy beef short ribs. Prime time roasted chicken. Time

[00:45:23] TH. YME. Ah, got it because we're looking sometimes different things. So for the caniving Calamari.

[00:45:31] This is an appetizer. I'm assuming we're talking about fried Calamari with some jar mariner sauce. Okay.

[00:45:38] 100%. Caniving Calamari appetizer 2001. 2001. Caniving Calamari fried Calamari with jar

[00:45:47] 12 marinara sauce. Eric, what are we going for? This is the most expensive item on the appetizer menu.

[00:45:55] A patizer menu. Oh my. Um 2001. Caniving Calamari fried Calamari. Perhaps 11.

[00:46:04] It's $1.00. Okay. Daniel? I'm going to stick with 12 even though I think it's probably more.

[00:46:11] Prices right rules closest back going over. You both lose it. 10. 99. 10.

[00:46:16] Now what a day it was closest. All right. Now we've set the stage. No pun intended for pricing. Let's go to the

[00:46:25] inflation calculator says that that would have been basically $20. 10. 99. So Eric, you were close.

[00:46:33] All right. In 2001 money. Okay. Now let's let's go back to this. This is a good litmus test

[00:46:40] stand. So if 10.99 and 2001 would be $20 today. So that Calamari would be $20. But even in today's

[00:46:48] standards is very expensive for some Calamari. And I bet there's like eight Calamari. Probably.

[00:46:53] But there were probably big. Right. Okay. So one leaf to live, one leaf to live is a green salad.

[00:47:01] Standard green salad. Like a side salad or just like a side salad. There's no description.

[00:47:11] Eric, 2001 money. So take what you think it would be today and cut in half.

[00:47:17] 7. Okay. Dan.

[00:47:20] 4. 99. Dan wins. Oh. Okay. Then we're going to move to. Okay.

[00:47:25] We're going to move to the hunky rib eye steak. Hunky rib eye steak. Mane affair.

[00:47:31] Hunky rib eye steak, Eric. A rib eye. Okay. Let's see if if the advertiser of an appetizer

[00:47:38] is 10. 99. That's right. Let's go back to 16. Okay. 16. I hear 16. Dan.

[00:47:44] 20. 19. 99. Dan is good at this game. It was a $20 rib eye in 2001 which would make it roughly $40 today

[00:47:52] which by the way, not a bad deal at a theme park. Okay. So did you enjoy the puns? California

[00:48:00] adventure might be the poneyest place on earth. God. Prime we don't need to add to it. Whoever

[00:48:06] right now we don't need to add to it. Roasted chicken. Okay. Then there's breakfast too. We're not

[00:48:15] getting it. Hold on. I need to clear. I need to clear the power a little bit. Big business is a fun

[00:48:20] little movie with two huge stars playing for larger than life characters putting off pulling off

[00:48:27] one hilarious gag after another. Easy to enjoy a blast to watch and to find my two wonderful

[00:48:32] performances. Big business is a class with this out comedy that never wears out as welcome or over

[00:48:37] extends its primary gag through an half stars. Good. Okay. So first things first. Do step into the

[00:48:44] waiting area. This is where people would wait for a table except it was never a wait which is why

[00:48:49] it closed. There's an ABC page that will show you to your table and then the different dining areas,

[00:48:55] the general hospital nurse's station. There's medical decor that surrounds you as you die in at

[00:49:01] the general hospital nurse's station. The details are authentic and witty even the dining chairs

[00:49:06] are different throughout the various dining rooms. The chairs in the nurse's station look like

[00:49:11] office chairs that you might find in a real hospital. Please pass the salt and tongue depressor

[00:49:19] sorry the tongue depressors are just props and you can't remove the lids from those containers.

[00:49:26] Okay. And then above that they were there. There are clever x-rays above the general hospital

[00:49:31] nurse's station, there are actual x-rays. Someone thought of this. Yes, they did.

[00:49:36] And other people said that's a good idea and then other people beyond that said

[00:49:42] let's drop the plans for the people to build it and the people who built it were like

[00:49:47] this is the thing that should exist. And then they unlocked the door and they let people in.

[00:49:54] And there was a very authentic phone at the nurse's station that there were a bunch of

[00:49:58] extensions radiology psychiatry which had been handwritten in their extension pathology admissions,

[00:50:08] morgue doctor, doctor, quarter term, pediatric oncology, maternity, administration,

[00:50:17] et cetera, et cetera, hematology. The servers are not just there to take your orders

[00:50:23] and serve your meals. They're dressed up as soap opera characters, such as a butler, a candy striper,

[00:50:31] orderly doctor or policeman and they treat you as a character too. Well, they were in character

[00:50:38] as well, they weren't just like dressed up. That's correct. They're improvving all day.

[00:50:45] I mean if you can't serve in you food that's right. I ate there and it was not great.

[00:50:51] But yeah, maybe an analog to this would have been the prime time cafe, you know where your

[00:50:56] versers are like, take your elbows off the table and we'll color this soap, et cetera.

[00:51:01] All right. So then you could also eat at the the Lann view country club from one life to live.

[00:51:09] You're part of the intrigue in scandal that formed the plot of daytime dramas. You might be accused

[00:51:14] of imbezzling money or being someone's mistress or both. Maybe it'll be addressed as the chief of

[00:51:20] surgery and called up to make an important decision. You can have a drink at Luke's nightclub,

[00:51:25] just like the characters in general hospital, X-Mobster Luke. I think what? I think that's the

[00:51:31] eye patch. I think you're right. Luke and Laura, that's Luke's Lorenzo Spencer of General Hospital

[00:51:37] is the co-owner of Luke's nightclub. It's not just one of the hotspots in the fictional town of

[00:51:50] knows all the same venue, but different really well different themed. I mean, think of it like

[00:51:55] beading the beast that the beast castle, the different rooms and the different theme. It's like that.

[00:52:00] Or Dan, you can eat in a restaurant themed to look like a restaurant. Wow.

[00:52:06] Kelly's diners from General Hospital. Oh, right. That's right. Well, I'm very sure any, oh no,

[00:52:10] that means we have to cut this segment chart. I think I think I pretty much, you get it. The point is

[00:52:17] there was a soap opera, Bestro. Oh, I feel free to knock this out.

[00:52:21] Eric. ABC soap opera, Bestro, open to the public on February 8th, 2001. The official opening

[00:52:27] day of Disney's California Adventure. One day earlier, stars from the ABC series Port Charles,

[00:52:33] all my children and one life to live and General Hospital participated at a grand opening ceremony

[00:52:38] for the press. All right. So a few more points while he's getting his laundry, General Hospital

[00:52:42] premiered on the ABC Network on April 1st, 1963 and celebrated its golden anniversary on April 1st, 2013.

[00:52:50] The show continues to offer new, that's not true anymore. I don't think ABC soap opera,

[00:52:54] Bestro, close permanently on November 3rd, 2002 after struggling for 21 months. The ABC

[00:53:00] soap opera, Bestro had a reputation for good if pricey food. If you look at menus in the article,

[00:53:06] the prices don't seem that bad. But remember, these menus are from 2001. The atmosphere and

[00:53:12] improvisational actors, servers were fun even for guests who never watched ABC daytime dramas.

[00:53:18] But best for those who did. Now, for those of you who are familiar with Disney Junior,

[00:53:22] dance party live on stage, playhouse, Disney, whatever it's called. You might know that design

[00:53:27] looks a little bit like a studio maybe. It's because the facade of the soap opera, Bestro,

[00:53:33] was based on the historical ABC radio studios on vine street Hollywood. So we talked a little

[00:53:40] about that. I think that on the real buildings that inspired Disney California adventure,

[00:53:44] I think we talked about it. The restaurant was in attempt at synergy between Walt Disney

[00:53:48] Company ABC Television Network and Disney's newest theme park which won a one. But California

[00:53:52] adventure opened with too much dining capacity and two few attractions for children.

[00:53:59] But anyway, that's why the dance party looks like a studio is because it was originally modeled

[00:54:03] after the ABC radio studios, which is why it looks the way it looks. I find it interesting that

[00:54:09] Dan was still talking about old stuff. I find it interesting that DCA had too many restaurant

[00:54:15] options. I ran away. And GM opens and they have this restaurant that they kept around for

[00:54:23] 10 years and then they made it into an attraction and really, there's there's there are

[00:54:32] not a lot of places to eat at Hollywood studios. Well, I wonder if that's not the point like

[00:54:37] Hollywood studios opens first and there wasn't enough places to eat. DCA, there's too many

[00:54:42] places to eat. And too many sit down dining like you had Wolf King Puck. You have the California

[00:54:47] Wine E thing. You have this one. Yeah, I think it's fair. I think the thinking at that time was that

[00:54:53] people do their eat in a depot. Yeah, I'm not maybe. I'm not saying that that's correct or it was a

[00:54:58] smart way to look at it but I think that was definitely the thought which is like wow people

[00:55:03] can eat there. Then we can just get like grab and go stuff here and like and then I think it was

[00:55:08] like that food haul style that you were talking about in DCA Dan, the whatever it was called

[00:55:16] where they had multiple options. It was that type of place. And as I've been looking,

[00:55:20] I wish I could have played the menu game. I've been looking for menus for days. I can't find

[00:55:25] anything even looking on like eBay. I can't find a menu that I could look at a screenshot of

[00:55:30] purchase. But well, I guess they didn't really have menus. It was walking in. Here's your pizza

[00:55:35] station. Here's your salad station. That's what I'm going to place that became the arcade.

[00:55:42] So just a little bit more of the history of the show. It opened in 2003 and 2013 the show was

[00:55:50] updated with segments based on Sofia I in Doc McStuffins. May 2017 the California version was

[00:55:56] placed by a new show named Disney Junior Dance Party featuring characters from Mickey and

[00:56:01] Roadster racers. Sofia the first Doc McStuffins and the Lion Guard. In 2021 the show was updated

[00:56:09] with Vampirina and replaced Sofia the first and the Lion Guard. Disney Junior Dance Party made

[00:56:15] it debut in 2017 captivating audiences at both Disney's Hollywood Studios and California Adventure.

[00:56:22] The show was created to fill a need for more engaging interactive experience for young children

[00:56:26] at the Disney theme parks leveraging the immense popularity of Disney Junior's TV programming.

[00:56:31] Disney sought to provide a live show where young fans could sing, dance and celebrate their new

[00:56:36] character favorites. 2017 the original show that I said Mickey and the thing. Okay, the Disney

[00:56:45] California Adventure version followed suit on February 1st, 2019 and also added characters from

[00:56:51] fancy Nancy which replaced Sofia the first in addition to Vampirina. 2020 the show at Disney

[00:56:59] Hollywood Studios were replaced by a news socially distance to traction called Disney Junior Play and Dance.

[00:57:05] After being closed with the park on March 12th, 2020 due to COVID-19. The end.

[00:57:12] I'm ready to give a point. Okay, I know. I'm not ready to receive points.

[00:57:17] I feel bad because I don't want to. Dan would it help if when when the Sunstage restaurant was

[00:57:27] themed to Aladdin? It featured outside the restaurant, the camels that are currently the camels

[00:57:37] outside of the Aladdin attraction in the magic kingdom, the ones that spit it. That doesn't help

[00:57:43] things at all. In fact, I wish they were still there because I don't think that they should be in

[00:57:49] Adventureland and where I was going with this point was the most improved by that. I mean like

[00:57:55] in terms of what each place needed and it was it was going to be a lot of different things but

[00:58:02] it turned into what how did it improve the parks in general? And I think Disneyland gets that point

[00:58:09] because it didn't need another restaurant. It didn't need that restaurant and Disney World

[00:58:15] kind of needed another restaurant but they got rid of one. Kind of seems that way.

[00:58:21] Yeah, all right. So that's a history. Mostly I just wanted to touch on the so far for Beastro because it was

[00:58:25] a fascinating place that not a lot of people know about and I wanted to inform people that you could eat

[00:58:32] in general hospital. You could eat it. Looks. You could eat in a restaurant themed after a restaurant.

[00:58:38] Would you okay, when you're there? How bother some were the people like if you're eating

[00:58:46] your your ham pizza and someone wants you to come up and diagnose something as part of the

[00:58:56] general hospital theme. How often was that happening? So here's the thing Eric, at the time

[00:59:03] in my life I was watching the general hospital every day. I was dating a girl and they would

[00:59:10] record it every day. And we would go back to her place after school and college and we would watch it

[00:59:18] in earnest. Okay, and there may have been some wacky to back he involved but we were very excited

[00:59:24] to go because we knew all the ins and outs of the general hospital and we specifically requested that

[00:59:29] we sat there. We asked questions of our server and they were checked out. We knew more about

[00:59:37] the show than they did, they did not care. Fun fact about that sort of is that super ego the podcast

[00:59:46] slash improv team that I love very much was formed at the soap opera bistro because they all went

[00:59:55] as performers there and they were hardly ever busy so they would just like hang out in the back

[01:00:02] and make up these little characters and improv scenes and actually was one of them.

[01:00:08] Back or yeah, he also went on to become push the trash can. Listen to the canes and Amanda

[01:00:15] Lund's podcast. Right now and they have that too. So I'll sort of live the room is good. It sounds like

[01:00:22] I know at least those three that's formed super ego and then Paul of Tomkins came along later.

[01:00:29] They're all good and my hunch is that the people they were all I suspect that the improv

[01:00:39] performers were all good at improv because just of the evidence that I've been given and because

[01:00:46] of the evidence that I've been given, they probably did not care one bit about the soap opera

[01:00:52] Yeah, I get a test. Anyway that's the history of Disney Junior dance party. Thank you for the

[01:01:00] point. I don't think we heard the point. That's because Dan was talking when I played it.

[01:01:05] That's actually the real trouble with the world too many people grow up. He's saying grow up not

[01:01:10] throw up or blow up. Too many people are blowing up. All right Eric tell us about whatever the show is

[01:01:20] Well depending on where you look, the show is probably called Disney Junior Play and Dance.

[01:01:28] But yeah that might have been off the air when we were talking about it. It is sometimes

[01:01:35] Disney Junior live on stage. Sometimes it's Disney Junior dance party. The names have changed

[01:01:41] awful lot and the characters have changed only a little bit since the major,

[01:01:49] the major changes going away from Bear in the big blue house. Yeah the current Dance

[01:01:57] Party has Duck Mixed Stuffings, Vampirina, Timone and Mickey. As the guests there is an enthusiastic

[01:02:06] male or female or, you know, it could be non-binary person. There's a person on the stage and

[01:02:15] they are very enthusiastic. They are part as always true. Yeah that's I can attest to that.

[01:02:25] You all know how enthusiastic Disney employees can get especially when they're in a show that they

[01:02:35] probably assume they don't like it very much. They kind of just doubled down on the enthusiasm.

[01:02:41] Yeah I think know that they're performing to children. They totally, it's clear the energy is

[01:02:48] what do I have to do to make these children jump up and down? That's what the assignment is

[01:02:57] and they do great. I watched a few different videos. My favorite is I said at the top was during

[01:03:03] COVID times, I just because there are so few people there. But yeah it is a very popular show

[01:03:11] from what I've seen. There's always a lot of people over there. But yeah here we go.

[01:03:17] Let's run it down. It seemed like in this particular video this dude was trying to get jazz

[01:03:23] to get the music. I'm going to be a little bit more precise. The dance moves are very specific and they are very

[01:03:31] kind of lazy but again it's for children. I mean those they could constap it up.

[01:03:38] Yeah come on kids. Yeah. Get your act together. Yeah if you make them do better stuff they'll do

[01:03:44] better stuff instead of just jumping up and down. Well anyway at the beginning of the show

[01:03:48] patient gravity is at this point. There you go. Goodness. The lazy children are for me.

[01:03:57] They don't even have excuse because it's not like they're working. It's not like they're like

[01:04:01] oh it's the weekends. That doesn't mean anything to them. Yeah pull yourselves up by your bootstraps

[01:04:09] get to dance them kids. So the beginning of Vampirina shows up. This dude is a huge fan of Vampirina

[01:04:17] as he said in this particular video. She dances the thriller which he calls Veclaw.

[01:04:26] Yeah and then the second dance move is an er guitar. And she demonstrates to everybody. They

[01:04:34] all dance back and then he says all right we'll see later v and she leaves. Whenever anybody comes out

[01:04:40] there's a the puff of I presume fog and there's a big screen behind everybody and usually

[01:04:50] there's a little bit of an image of one of the sets from their shows. Yep and usually some sort

[01:04:56] of graphic explaining who they are for all of the dads in the audience and or the creepy

[01:05:10] language. Let's see then try everything. Cool thumbs. You took me somewhere in a

[01:05:19] Bob Chay back. Sure. Was he was he roast beef or was he not a thumb on this shirt? I believe

[01:05:27] he was I think he was just kind of kind of awful or whatever the phrase was. Oh that one okay

[01:05:33] is kind of awful. Yeah. The one that almost got you kicked out of the park a few times.

[01:05:39] Yes. Chaypick shirt dot com people it doesn't exist anymore. If you want a Chaypick shirt

[01:05:45] email Dan and yours up high from Bob. Yeah. I don't check right you mouth.

[01:05:51] Neither does Jason it's fine. Yeah so try everything starts playing and the dudes dancing around

[01:05:58] more. I wrote seriously is this entire show just bouncing oh wait there he is now spinning.

[01:06:06] That's pretty much the the kid repertoire bouncing. There you go. Yeah next up.

[01:06:13] Doc McStuffins makes a house call she's gonna do some stretches. He's got some before he

[01:06:18] murdered and other children. The ins inspecting children. No she performs surgery on stuff

[01:06:25] animals Dan. She doesn't cut open actual humans. Not yet. Haven't you seen the show?

[01:06:32] Not in a while. Okay oh you it's just you're in it's written rust. It's different at DCA. These things don't

[01:06:37] happen. Really? Oh no I mean more. So we have to go through it. Oh no we should not go through it.

[01:06:46] Oh that was really close. Listener in case you're about about to leave us one of my mom's favorite

[01:06:53] so growing up I had no choice but to watch it and it's not half bad. Silly story, funny in place is

[01:06:59] betting Lily do a good job of playing their good and evil twins not a bad film to and have stars

[01:07:05] but that's a super review. Wow I don't know that I've ever heard anybody just say bet.

[01:07:12] My her name to me is bet midler. Well the kids say it when they when they when they

[01:07:19] were like really believe in something say bet like I agree. Yeah but if somebody's referring to

[01:07:25] someone named bet yeah you know who they're talking about. True. Yeah true there aren't a lot of people

[01:07:30] named bet but yeah it just to me her name is always the full name bet midler. Okay all right let's keep going

[01:07:37] here. Yeah we're good. The her theme song, Doc McStuffen's theme song do what the doctor says

[01:07:44] plays there's a background of a vet office which then becomes pulsing red flowers for some reason.

[01:07:53] She does her literally like she's just stretching those are her dance moves where she's

[01:07:58] stretching over her head she's stretching down to retose and so we're teaching the kids fitness

[01:08:05] and yeah then we go to our next guest. Well almost so there's a dance version of

[01:08:16] Milan as song and then they quickly oh yeah the the the the the host teaches the kids how to

[01:08:24] Hula for a few seconds and then he just starts jumping up and down again and then while

[01:08:31] Milan is well songs from Milan are playing he the host introduces that his next guest is from

[01:08:40] the Pride lands which doesn't make a whole lot of sense with Milan a music playing you think you can

[01:08:45] see Milan a nope you're going to see Timon. Timon comes out and the song changes to Hukunumatata

[01:08:54] and the host exclaims that he is his favorite so he's a huge fan of Vampirina but

[01:09:01] Timon is his favorite just letting everybody know and make some more some noise for Timon.

[01:09:06] Yeah the dance moves include just string upright left then downright and then down left.

[01:09:13] We're cats too and then we're cats too. Exactly yeah and then they like to march in place and then

[01:09:19] in a circle while the church in place. Yeah sure. And then he turns around the other direction

[01:09:27] so the host forces everyone to follow along with this dance. The music continues background is

[01:09:36] lights moving around it's pretty abstract kind of trippy and then hey let's hear it for Timon we'll

[01:09:42] later in the Pride lands where Pride is is Pride. Let's see everybody's best hot dog he says

[01:09:51] this is Mickey Mouse's dance so let's go for it because while this you like hot dogs.

[01:09:59] Yeah yeah we all know that story we don't have to say again. Who would have been a lot more

[01:10:03] awkward if they said let's see everyone's weaning. That's what that that's what Walt Disney

[01:10:08] called it because you know that half the kids would have dropped their pants. There's always

[01:10:12] that one kid who's ready to drop his pants at a moment's notice he's wearing a trench

[01:10:21] good. So the host teaches us the song of the dance which is kind of like a lazy

[01:10:29] Charleston and hot dog hot diggy dog plays which is a they might be giants song from Mickey Mouse

[01:10:39] clubhouse which is a I like they might be giants so I'm down with that. Then he teaches us to do

[01:10:45] the song Goofy style which is the same but he has his hands up in the air. Then he teaches us

[01:10:51] Donald Duck style which is pretty much the same but you swing your arms around more just like Donald Duck.

[01:10:57] Nope ants yeah. Two seconds after he teaches everybody Donald Duck style he says

[01:11:06] you guys are amazing and he goes back to his podium. And then he says you may want to go go go

[01:11:15] but please don't leave leave leave I'm not sure what the reference is there but then Mickey Mouse

[01:11:24] in his roadster racer outfit comes out Mickey runs around and gestures toward people in the front row

[01:11:32] and yeah things move pretty fast here kids so stay in your party zone which means don't go near

[01:11:40] other people because remember this is COVID times. I wrote here I don't want to see a modern version

[01:11:48] the COVID version is so weird and great. Mickey's background is just psychedelic lights

[01:11:56] and Mickey's dance is to make vague driving movements which really wouldn't be useful in

[01:12:03] turning a steering wheel. I did that he should be sitting down in the back by the way.

[01:12:08] You did that one? I mean you're just slow. Nice very pretty good man yeah.

[01:12:14] If I looked at other people on the bench and judged them for not doing the same thing because

[01:12:19] wow I thought there would be funny to be that guy. Really committing to it but not standing up.

[01:12:28] No not really committing to yeah not standing out and barely committing to it and looking at them like

[01:12:32] come on. Come on dad we can do this together. We got yes my kid is out there it's fun.

[01:12:43] Let's see everybody comes back on the stage let's make some noise for Vampirina and

[01:12:48] make stuff and of course to moan and then all of the characters do multiple poses and the

[01:12:57] host says alright everybody get your cameras ready we're all gonna pose and the first pose

[01:13:03] everybody just makes a regular pose and then he says alright pose number two and then they just

[01:13:10] make a different pose and pose number three like you would guess is also just them standing

[01:13:16] and making poses. None of them are particular they don't have like a theme they're not

[01:13:21] like doing scary pose or funny pose. Do you think the Vampirina and Doc McStuffins will be in

[01:13:27] danger of no longer being in this show once Universal's Monster Land opens because they're

[01:13:37] basically Frankenstein and Dracula. I'm surprised they're still there but I don't know what

[01:13:44] is knee-joon your programming looks like these days I know that they have a new channel on Disney

[01:13:49] Plus like curated here's a mix tape of shows that sort of thing like you know like a cable channel

[01:13:57] but I don't know what they have going on these days other than a goodbyeian friends oh they

[01:14:03] could have goodbyeian friends up there. Oh they're really good yeah that's a show that I know

[01:14:07] is on and kids watch and glue you can't glue in there. That's right you can't afford it

[01:14:14] man well then it's all bluey. I know you can't just glue either they try to get the theme

[01:14:18] barcrites they couldn't get them. Oh man even though it's on the Disney plus it is but yeah they

[01:14:24] licensed that to the Australian company that makes it yeah I get it. They probably get like Mr.

[01:14:28] Peanut or something. Mr. Peanut. The planners guy. All right everybody's spying friends

[01:14:34] Mr. Peanut comes out. Hey everybody. And he talks even he's in the suit he actually talks

[01:14:43] I'm just a peanut. I mean I'm one of Spider-Man's friends. I know several of you are

[01:14:51] covering your nose now because I'm in the room but not to worry I have no allergens

[01:14:55] coming out of my mouth. I'm wearing your children will die seeing me and this spidey is

[01:15:01] Charlotte from Charlotte's web. They couldn't get those theme park rights side. Six flights has

[01:15:10] Charlotte's web rights. Hey everybody it's everyone's favorite super fun.

[01:15:19] Well here we go regardless of gender every host whereas the same red head thing and yellow shirt

[01:15:27] stripes and stuff the lights are bright the room is very dim. Kids seem to love jumping up and down so

[01:15:35] this is perfect for them. Do you ever like in the middle of a recording with these episodes

[01:15:41] stop and think they're self we're actually doing this? I was watching

[01:15:50] second of his city. My office door shares a door with a bathroom and I was watching

[01:15:56] and one of my children went to the bathroom I had to turn the volume way down because I did not want

[01:16:00] to know that I was born it's porn it's porn. I'm sorry. My wife came out yesterday while

[01:16:11] I was on the porch watching this and she's like what are you doing and I said don't worry

[01:16:16] about me you go to your green day concert okay. I'm gonna stay home but do things I like. That's

[01:16:33] gosh. One of the videos there were a lot of dads sitting on the ground and children jumping

[01:16:39] up and down around them some of the kids seem to know what's going on like there are some fans

[01:16:46] it seemed to be really into it and then some of the kids are literally just jumping up and down or

[01:16:51] not doing anything but some of the kids were really into the dance moves. I had no idea who

[01:16:58] the characters were but like I thought they were like the the Brax candy of characters and it's like

[01:17:03] this really made up for the show but the kids were into it and like hey actually know what that is.

[01:17:08] All right cool yeah it's not just Pearl. She you know Pearl. Right. How do you like Pearl?

[01:17:19] Well yeah so the set itself it's a it's a it's a stage there's a big screen in the back with

[01:17:24] a lot of psychedelics on it. They keep up this scaffolding that they've had in the past so

[01:17:31] it's just multiple rings of scaffolding around there and a lot of lights and in the center there's

[01:17:36] a triple disco ball which is a hidden myth like making a house yeah and then there are more

[01:17:44] round LEDs behind it which is kind of confusing but yeah so that's that's kind of it the whole thing

[01:17:51] takes about 10 minutes and then you all shuffle out and continue on your day and dad is hopefully

[01:17:59] saying I I don't know how she still has energy can we do it again? I think we're going to say

[01:18:05] dad says Doc must definitely kind of cute. And when they shuffle out of the do you mean the dance

[01:18:15] move the shuffle? No no I think it's more of a lot I think it's once it's over. I think it's more

[01:18:21] zombie like is oh Vampirina you walk out and you are suddenly reminded that you're in a fun place

[01:18:31] you're in a fun place and you're assaulted by humidity and Florida sunshine. Right you'll go

[01:18:38] no. By the way this is another review another film I never knew existed where was I

[01:18:45] space comma space in 1989 space question mark space LOL I enjoyed it there's a lot of that kind of stuff

[01:18:52] gone I enjoyed it though not one of their best films the concept is good and funny though

[01:18:59] I'm a big really Tom one fan as well a woman I definitely date which is an important thing to

[01:19:04] that. Wow that middling as always funny as well the scene with her supposedly sun that was good

[01:19:13] if you like either actress in any film you might want to rent this although I think it could have

[01:19:20] been a lot better most of the film takes place in a hotel so not much for different places or totally

[01:19:27] different scenes sorry girls a post-friest but if you're going to rent this you had better rent

[01:19:34] something else to go with it that you really want to watch there were a lot of characters

[01:19:42] they could have emphasized upon like some like the shwerver and maybe some hometown friends

[01:19:51] friends of the girls possessive it's okay speaking of shows that don't go any places

[01:20:01] yeah and could have borrowed from a lot of different whatever you said

[01:20:09] kids get to wiggle shimmy and sing along at high energy shows starring Disney Junior characters

[01:20:17] Disney Junior dance party is an enchanting live show that invites children and their parents

[01:20:22] to participate in a vibrant and energetic dance party with some of the most beloved characters from

[01:20:28] Disney Junior's extensive roster of shows. The experience is designed to engage children and

[01:20:34] families through music dancing and interactive fun fostering an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.

[01:20:40] The show is hosted by a DJ and a live performer who guide the guests through the songs and dances

[01:20:48] it also uses video screens special effects and puppets to bring characters to life.

[01:20:53] The show has a duration of about 25 minutes and runs for real time. There's about 15 minutes

[01:21:01] I think there's some you know pre-at-home and it's suitable for guests of all ages but especially

[01:21:07] for preschoolers and their families. However if you are interested they do have seats in the back

[01:21:13] which I tried to not call the creepy the creepy people seats there more I think we landed on

[01:21:22] grandparents seating is what we land. Oh that's nice. The show was designed to encourage physical

[01:21:27] activity social interaction but not too close and cognitive development among young children.

[01:21:34] Wow. Wow that is some cognitive diversity. That is some mysterious

[01:21:42] that's some good language. As an educator I gotta tell you it's someone really new

[01:21:46] what they were doing when they wrote that. Okay so this show it varies a little bit from

[01:21:54] Eric's show because this is a dance party like the whole thing is dance like the DJ comes out with

[01:21:59] the energetic partner whatever they may be and there's a tube different people.

[01:22:07] Yes there's a DJ who does the spinning. And then there's another person. I kind of assumed well

[01:22:14] there's only the one at in Florida and I kind of assumed they are there the DJ because they keep

[01:22:19] running behind this podium thing even though they're not doing anything. Yeah look it look just

[01:22:24] like a podium it does not look like a DJ. That's sort of their spin and their mad mad beats.

[01:22:28] Oh man. Sick beats. Anyways there's two there's a DJ and enthusiastic other person. Okay so

[01:22:35] we open up and they they're trying to teach the kids some dance moves so they start with

[01:22:40] the robot arms and then jump around and then like wheels on the bus and they try to put it all

[01:22:46] together and they have a little dance party and then they're like we can't wait to welcome Mickey and

[01:22:53] Roadster racers and there's a bunch of question marks that sign up and up on the screen behind them

[01:22:58] and he's like oh no I forgot to invite Mickey. We can't have a dance party without Mickey

[01:23:04] and the roadster racers so they get them on video chat and Mickey and his friends and their

[01:23:08] roadsters are like we're on our way. Wow and then Vampirina comes out and she does the zombie

[01:23:16] and she does some dance teaches the kids how to dance the zombie and definitely want to psyches

[01:23:22] in it as like a screen character you know it's like just want a sex. I think she's supposed

[01:23:31] to be a carboil or a grotesque or something that's not a commentary on one of the

[01:23:35] psyches that's just that what the character is sounds like one of psyches. If it's not it was

[01:23:40] the audition process was we're looking for a one-to-seiked type character. Anyway so it's a thing where

[01:23:47] the the character Vampirina in this case is a costume character interacting with a pre-recorded

[01:23:55] video character. Got it and so there's the zombie they do different dance moves and then when

[01:24:00] Vampirina is done then Doc McStuffins comes out with a snowman Vampirina or much

[01:24:08] different character. Yeah and it's time for your check-up and then the snowman feels better they do

[01:24:14] some dancing there and then they check in with Mickey and Mickey and the roadsters make their

[01:24:19] way through California adventure and their roadsters. Now this is a fully CG animated they're

[01:24:26] drive through DCA and it's always clear moves guys and yeah and then they make it there

[01:24:36] and then Mickey and Minnie come out and they do some more dancing. The end. Jimmy didn't spend nearly as

[01:24:44] much time describing what was going on. They don't think it needed to. There's not a lot of story here.

[01:24:51] The story is Mickey they forgot to invite Mickey and he and his roadster racers are so fast that

[01:24:57] they made it from Burbank or wherever they were and presumably they should be at Tune Town but that's

[01:25:03] beside the point. Oh yeah I mean there are a lot of people in the way you can't drive really fast.

[01:25:09] Not according to the video I saw. Oh they were the DCA not a one person was in the streets.

[01:25:15] How what he really should have done is gone on ball road and then down West Street.

[01:25:23] That would have been faster than making it through the parks.

[01:25:25] Yeah um okay I have no idea how to score this Jimmy. Do you have does your Q-hub shade?

[01:25:34] Sure it doesn't. Erics your Q-hub shade. Not really. Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait we're not in

[01:25:42] landed packed oh yeah we didn't really talk about Q's. This is this is turning into a two-hour long

[01:25:48] go. Yeah we're we are losing my your honor the difference rest.

[01:25:55] Land impact it's a building and it's the largest sterler park you've ever seen.

[01:26:01] There we go. It's true okay so in the interest of time in the interest of time let's let's

[01:26:06] do this in good faith. Eric top five reasons why you should win.

[01:26:15] Tell me now you really put me into the interest of time top five reasons.

[01:26:22] Or up to five. And number five. Or just tell me reasons I doesn't need to be a number.

[01:26:32] It's only 10 minutes long okay it features some of your children's maybe favorite characters

[01:26:38] I'm not sure if there's still your kids favorites anymore. Okay um high energy

[01:26:47] that's the same both places so far that differences are the times.

[01:26:53] Let's see it is easy to get into

[01:26:59] because it's in an area of the park that doesn't have a lot of people around

[01:27:06] question mark. Okay that's okay okay so location it yeah it is something happening in that area that isn't

[01:27:17] a sad star war store or a sad plush store I guess little mermaid is reopening over there soon but

[01:27:27] yeah it is it is something to do in that chunk of the park. Park and it is something for children to do

[01:27:32] in this park. But that park it's not as urgent I mean I get the point but yeah I mean you

[01:27:42] basically I mean what else do you have there for children? You've got Toy Story land you've got a

[01:27:50] a kid's co-stru that is relatively accessible to most kids and you've got alien swirling saucers

[01:27:57] and of course it will be one man's dream. Of course you've got Walt Disney's school desk maybe

[01:28:06] and Walt Disney annual pass-led or Facebook group somebody posted that they're still

[01:28:10] an homage to song of the south and their glide that's still there oh good. It is like the

[01:28:17] master few years but yeah there's not much else for kids to do in this park I guess Star Tourists

[01:28:26] kids can do well yeah for so much people out of scary. Jimmy yeah there is the the beat in the

[01:28:34] beast and yeah there's the fan-tasmic but all that's pretty much everything in the park except for like

[01:28:38] three things but that's okay okay thanks Jimmy um so in terms of needs it more I think if

[01:28:47] well that's a double thing because studios just need stuff like it just needs anything to do

[01:28:54] they could it could be a ball pit and it would still work um at the same time California adventure needs

[01:29:04] I mean they kind of have a good amount of things for kids now but you take one out and you

[01:29:11] need more like they're they're at little mermaid and them capacity. Little mermaid Toy Story

[01:29:19] the way it was just like does play Gregoria the Gargoyle in Vampirina there we go I was right look at

[01:29:26] that you were right um okay so so you've got little mermaid the challenge trail jump to jump

[01:29:35] jump in jelly yeah that whole area that's good point you got all those kitty rides there and the

[01:29:42] golden zepher kids love the zepher kids love puns word we do they do they do same weiner

[01:29:51] it's a longer show but it is more time to sit relax perhaps in the air conditioning

[01:29:58] in some ways I feel like the Disney World show should be longer because you want to be in the air

[01:30:03] conditioning longer yeah it's a worst place to be outside it is bad but Dan uh to answer a question

[01:30:10] I couldn't give you five I think everything air basically whatever whatever Eric said and since

[01:30:15] here the judge we're gonna let you decide what you think this is really hard I'm gonna go with okay

[01:30:27] location I think Disney World has a point there all right everyone let's maintain our physical distance

[01:30:36] um time wise I think if you're looking if you're so desperate for kids things to do

[01:30:48] that you're willing to do this I think more time is good okay that's fair because that's

[01:30:57] does seem kind of quick it is it is quick especially when there's like honestly if this if

[01:31:05] the times were flipped I would have no issue just giving this to Disney World I'm just say like

[01:31:10] hearing about the DCA one yeah I really didn't watch any of that suppress press um not that I was

[01:31:20] expected to but hearing what Jimmy was saying you get more time with the characters because the characters

[01:31:27] are kind of on the stage and gone like this this DJ host guy is just

[01:31:33] running them through boom boom boom boom boom okay we're done and you can you get double the

[01:31:39] enthusiasm a double the pleasure double the fun there are there are a lot of characters there

[01:31:45] are characters on stage from most of the show there's a lot of this show even though it's only

[01:31:49] 10 minutes long this just the host and you can mark your hand against myself making a mini here on the

[01:31:55] stage you got Mickey yeah that's yeah mini I'm gonna be really honest I wanted this to go to

[01:32:03] Disney World because I know that it's been a while since Disney World is one something and

[01:32:08] I feel bad like I really I went into this and I've been trying this whole time to be like okay

[01:32:14] how can I edge this towards the Disney world version and I really think that

[01:32:25] I think I think that it's I think it's you say I think that's the winner the heart wants

[01:32:31] what it wants Dan yeah could I get extra points for the lightning the queen show that is in a

[01:32:37] different building and further down the street that's another thing for kids in that part

[01:32:42] cheese it is another thing for kids in that part here right yeah it kind of needs it less and less

[01:32:47] that's going away much like Hollywood land is going away we really need to finish this here

[01:32:52] that's good point yeah with this is it and let's be brought into the bathrooms for a week too many people

[01:32:56] grow up I think we already did the yeah it's right all right one of the shows we have in the

[01:33:02] network Dan graduate so they see junior dance let me let me play the the sound clearly

[01:33:08] that's the real trouble with the world too many people grow up to meet people throw up

[01:33:14] they do some right so if you're still listening you can listen to other shows that they

[01:33:24] don't talk about Disney Junior dance party on it's some of them include a puny pot where

[01:33:32] they talk about Marvel movies dance parties and dance part they have a dance it's an ongoing

[01:33:38] podcasts are like dance parties in so many ways so one another one of the dance parties

[01:33:43] is as puny pod where you can dance with all of your favorite Marvel movies and there's a

[01:33:50] milk muck lemonade around the corner Beth milk also has Beth the bath the milk podcast they

[01:33:55] have a dance party with Star Wars they have the Ewark dance party every single day

[01:33:59] the Ewark dance party from the race it's not Rhea's lost Ark which I think that's where I can

[01:34:05] finally talk about the Star Wars stuff at Hollywood Studios maybe then we all dance parties

[01:34:15] if they used to have right oh yeah back when they had like Darth Vader torquing and shit sorry

[01:34:27] both listeners who are still on her birthday a bad word that's what got them to start

[01:34:34] listening again is they said it were something interesting happened that's right we also have

[01:34:43] what's that here's up that Eric is on and that's show where he comes up with ideas and then

[01:34:50] he may or may not do them and then it's another thing nothing nothing nothing that you can

[01:34:58] listen to Eric on if you enjoy listening the Eric is the hub crawl that's on the network but

[01:35:02] you're still you're allowed we're not like an HMO you are allowed to listen to podcasts

[01:35:08] out of network yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

[01:35:12] if you have a podcast pp out you can listen to but we're explaining

[01:35:19] don't forget to scrape in the fall that's great in the wall that is in the worst track it only cost you

[01:35:24] three dollars we did if you have a good way Ariel's beginning Ariel's beginning yes if you

[01:35:32] you need to of course because it is because it's in network you do still need to get

[01:35:38] you need to get a referral from us which I'm giving you right now that's right there you go

[01:35:44] very no copay though no copay but I finally a show I can have my co-workers listen to

[01:35:51] right I mean it's we consider it preventative care that's right yeah oh that's free

[01:35:57] yeah it is just like your preventative care it's free once a year is when it comes to

[01:36:05] oh health care joke are funny anyway also if you want to see something really awkward

[01:36:11] then you should watch a bit more talking to children let me do it's uncomfortable okay I think that's it

[01:36:19] of course it's a journey yes of course it's a journey yeah good bye oh let's see

[01:36:55] with 25% reviews on rotten tomatoes I figured this would be an awful movie but it's six

[01:37:01] dollars I decided to give it a try by no means is it a must see film but it definitely made for

[01:37:08] a fun way to spend a Sunday evening relaxing six dollars I know I'm vaguely interested not

[01:37:16] still would only pay one if that why's it not on Disney Plus oh is it oh is it do you look at

[01:37:23] it's a touchstone I better do it is let's see I don't know why I'm looking in my burn bombs good

[01:37:36] they don't have it burn bomb doesn't have if it's on Disney Plus or not it doesn't have Disney Plus in the

[01:37:49] 1996 version no no so short sided big oh man I should have checked 1996

[01:37:59] sound this one got new is points for the history it is on Disney Plus all right everybody

[01:38:05] their twins but they don't know their twins when the soundstage restaurant was a ladden themed

[01:38:11] it was also polka hauntist themed yeah similar and here finally a price all you can eat bread my goodness

[01:38:20] I bread two of the three and what two of the three burn bombs I have from this time period like

[01:38:25] I don't need to read the third one it's gonna be the same all you can eat breakfast how much

[01:38:30] oh what year 1996 1299 wow 1295 you went over you look at me go you've done a run for as

[01:38:42] money in this game yes okay wait no let's keep it damn you

[01:39:12] oh that was so sad hey Jimmy do you want Dan to just cover Disney Junior off the top of

[01:39:25] his head and you can host yeah you've seen it at least I'm always

[01:39:30] never recording how you can talk about the soap opera beast throwing all that okay okay

[01:39:39] all right take four oh I remember you're a room 12 meter I need to make sure we're checking

[01:39:45] Jimmy's game oh yeah Jimmy host your game
