Davy Crockett was a real human being, one who almost lived up to the tall tales that sprung up after his death. In the 1950's, Walt Disney turned some of these tales into a very popular TV show, and then later cut them up into the 1955 classic, "Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier". This move would spark the coon skin cap fetish amongst most school-aged boys, and cementing Davy's legacy in the minds of boomers everywhere. On today's show, we root around Davy's real history a bit, talk about the movie a lot, and serve up our usual helping of facts! ----------------
