Little Mermaid 3

Little Mermaid 3

What can we say, these aren't getting any better. This movie was released just after John Lasseter hugged the straight to video sequels away..

This one does not carry any future plot, it does not fill the characters out in any way, and perhaps even takes away from some of the character relationships from the original film.

[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Hi, I'm Dr. David Hill and today we're going to be talking about symptoms of shellfish allergies.

[00:00:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Shellfish allergies are among the most common of food allergies in the United States affecting

[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_01]: up to 2% of the population. Normally we see them in adults but they can't affect children as

[00:00:17] [SPEAKER_01]: well. Obviously shellfish allergies are going to occur after eating shellfish but remember

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_01]: not all shellfish actually have shells, squid and octopus can cause these allergies and they don't

[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_01]: have shells at all. But more commonly we see it with shrimp, crab, oysters, muscles,

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_01]: clams and other mollocks including even snails that people might eat. Most shellfish allergies

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: are relatively benign you can get stuffy nose you can get swollen lips you can get vomiting,

[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_01]: diarrhea or abdominal pain but some shellfish allergies are life threatening causing a reaction

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: called anophilaxis. Anophilaxis occurs when the patient has difficulty breathing the blood pressure

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_01]: may drop they make it a very fast heart rate and they may lose consciousness. Anophilaxis

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_01]: is best treated with an injection of epinephrine and if you're somebody who's ever had anophilaxis

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_01]: you should never be very far from an epinephrine auto injector or an epipen that you can carry

[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: with you wherever you go. It doesn't take a whole lot of exposure to shellfish to cause an allergy

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: in a susceptible person even in my new quantity of fish paste or powdered shellfish used as an

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: ingredient in another dish can cause that reaction so if you have shellfish allergies carefully

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: check labels and menus and ask about anything that you're uncertain about. So remember shellfish

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_01]: allergies are common they're frequently relatively benign but occasionally life threatening

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_01]: if you have the life threatening kind be sure and have your epipen with you at all times

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: talking about symptoms of shellfish allergies on Dr. David Hill.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_04]: From the ashes of when Disney animators were allowed to add fat like symbols to their drawings

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_04]: it's scraping the vault. Scraping the vault is a podcast about straight-to-video Disney sequel.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Joining me as always you know her from San Diego improv she always keeps her hands in arms

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_04]: inside it's Audrey. Hey handsome eyes inside and you also know somebody else

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm waiting for the chin okay. You know him as a master of education he's point six baby

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm almost a full person yeah he's point oh that's not let's not go there.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Everybody it's straight to the vault looks like

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_20]: I don't wait no that's not three fats it's a little above three fats yeah what do you think fish

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_21]: how did they how to fish say hello do they do like fins up to you top of the fins to you

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_04]: and

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_04]: know that's it

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_21]: nice to see you but they have to spell it every time yeah S.E.A. you I'm on a

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_21]: see food diet I see food and I

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_04]: fish it

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_04]: oh

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_04]: bright fins to both of you bright fins I see you I see you

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_04]: by the way like Ariel's mom is Ariel with green eyes

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_04]: how that works yeah did you know that

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_21]: people with red hair have different they like process drugs better or something

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_04]: that's a crazy or they have a lower pain tolerance or that's what I've heard yeah well

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_21]: some not like if you're gonna yeah if you put them if you try to use like uh

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_21]: dental work pain stuff they need like six times more of that drug yeah no

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_04]: okay I don't know brand talks about it a lot on this podcast that yeah like they have

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_04]: shoot them up no again like you said that's I mean and they're mostly Irish and they don't get drunk

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_04]: you know by the way for someone who dresses teeth for a living I would think you would know

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_21]: novacane never heard of it I don't I don't know I don't touch that stuff

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_20]: well it's not a cosmetic thing it's more just like a surgical thing

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_21]: right I used benai or like a mehron or you know MAC as they laudder

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_21]: uh it's not like a nice guy that's a brother yeah MAC's factor

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_21]: Nars Sephora well that's just a store where you can go by teeth products but I go to Sephora

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_04]: old uh that's another store. old the beauty yeah they're Sally two store Sally

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_21]: like shopping there it's always super weird energy it's like one of those Halloween

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_21]: super stores where they don't play any music a party city are you ever shopped at a

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_21]: party city they're the opposite of a party when you go inside yeah there's no music there's no it's

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_21]: so disturbing it's like uh liminal space it is really quiet and I can never find one um

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_20]: Claire's boutique yeah no that doesn't get out yeah yeah yeah that's a super like supply store right

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_21]: it's the accessories yeah that's good point yeah that I probably sell little like lip balms or

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_04]: something but there's more glossy it's more like earring and ear hair things and two thier slits yeah

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_04]: like two thier hi everybody it's scraping the fault welcome back about airplane food next

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_04]: it's a little what's the deal we watched the area wait we watched little mermaid

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_04]: areas beginning mm-hmm now you might think it's little mermaid three and it was at some point

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_04]: but according to the Disney plus it's not the not little mermaid three because it's not a sequel

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_04]: it's a prequel it's a pretty and a very necessary one I'm sorry so many gaps it's like the rogue one of

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_04]: this uh it's a sequel you liked it that much yeah that's right

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_04]: so many unanswered questions are the first movie like um how did music come into this kingdom

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_20]: right well we need is an entire movie about that one guy with the helmet that Darth Vader killed

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_04]: and that's right yeah and they're like you know what do you think King Triton's original name was

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_04]: on trap of course this is this is the sound of music little good made edition we're getting

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_21]: it's like if you had if it's like if you made fiddler on the roof but before you made fiddler on

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_21]: the roof you're like here's how music was invented and why people are singing yeah it's to me

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_20]: to use the fiddler on the roof analogy it's more like you go to see fiddler on the roof and

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_20]: you're like oh it's that song that I like and then like three and a half hours into it you're

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_20]: just like oh it's fiddler on the roof I forgot that yeah signing up for that for all of this

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_04]: for the song that you like there's a lot of songs in there that you they're not good right

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_04]: anyway and yes I'm in the line do they know land music there's a lot of okay all right anyway

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_20]: sorry Dan go ahead this movie came out came out to 2008 and I looked at the events that happened

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_20]: in 2008 and I thought none of that is very fun or interesting instead I'm going to tell you about

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_20]: a little short film called Gini Pig Mermaid in a Manhole. That's a title I don't.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_20]: Oh well this is part of the Gini Pig series of films which was a series of really really

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_20]: awful I mean well done but like brutal horror films from Japan this is mermaid in a Manhole here's

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_20]: an artist whose wife is left to still paint most of his time he ventures into the of the

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_20]: sewers together inspiration on macabre images the artist finds a mermaid in the sewer and

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_20]: recognizes her from before the mermaid was trapped in the sewers after the river disappeared

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_20]: the artist decides to draw her from now on once he notices that the mermaid is hurt he takes her home

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_20]: with him and puts her in a bath to just like splash he tries to help her giving her medicine

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_20]: just to say just like splash or do you know I'm not a dog the mermaid the mermaid reminds him

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_20]: that he should draw her as that was his mission the artist starts to say he should draw me like

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_20]: one of your French girls that would be great he tries to let's say there are some

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_20]: starts drawing again but stops and he gets worse and decides to take care of her cleaning her and giving

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_20]: her fresh fish for food the mermaid's mermaid gets gradually worse and worse in her body is slowly

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_20]: taking over by boils the mermaid reveals that her body contains seven colors inside her and

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_20]: she wants the artist to cut her boils and collect the colors she knows she has a little time left

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_20]: once he has all the colors the artist resumed the painting trying to match the ever-changing

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_20]: looks of the mermaid mermaid's condition worsens and worms start crawling out of the boils

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_20]: the painters think he should die to resume his painting behaving erratically the mermaid

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_20]: covers for a moment but still wants the artist to paint her she pretends to finish his painting

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_20]: and promises to look after now after her now but the mermaid asked him to kill her and that's

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_20]: that's a mermaid in a man of gold I mean that's kind of the same way it's a very soft

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah so you know it's came out into those yeah Audrey go tell us what came out in 2018

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_04]: little mermaid three Ariel's beginning I'll tell you a little bit about it this animated

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_04]: direct musical directive video musical fantasy comedy drama adventure film oh great here's what

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_21]: I thought it was before I read the title again yeah so in the challenge we're watching

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_21]: little mermaid three and I was like okay great this is a sequel from the last one we watch

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_21]: here's what I thought people are turning into mermaids there's like a secret talisman that

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_21]: needs to be replaced or destroyed to stop the villagers from all being turned into sea people

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_21]: Ariel Junior Junior is gonna fix it because it's partially her fault for some reason

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_21]: the villain is a good guy using the main character's guilt he's in disguise and uh the villain

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_21]: was that pattern all of course perfect the villain wants to be the mayor of the land antsy like

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_21]: he's power hungry so I mean I think I got most of that and then I read I read the title and

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_21]: it was Ariel's beginning and I was like well that was a waste of two minutes of my life that didn't

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_04]: take that would have been a better movie what have been a better movie what have been cool

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_04]: it's not too late okay so this is this is touted as a musical fantasy comedy drama adventure film

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_20]: I mean everything but the last word is true what adventure so film

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_04]: haha Disney's two studios animation production being done by Tune City animation ink

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_04]: and Disney's two studios australia oh come back ah this film is a prequel to Disney's

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_04]: 1989 animated feature film the little mermaid this is the third installment of the little

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_20]: Disney animation division so he saved us but he did but he did other things that we

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_04]: well we aren't happy about let's just put it this way he hugs the dread your sequels

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_04]: they went away

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_20]: anyway they did that for even that little ambassador hug

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_21]: it is also the first in the mid third that around the back

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_20]: either you've familiar with the story of John lastider I know the story of Darth Lincoln

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_21]: and Pete Dr did a lot of good movies right John last ever so incredibles and like yeah he was

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_04]: ahead of Pixar studios it's a very handful of why on shirts and loved Hawaiian shirts and he ended up

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_04]: taking over like Disney animation studios all together he got involved in in

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_04]: engineering and that sort of thing got involved in the parks maybe she's not talking about

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Nick Lodian because there's and it oh my gosh yeah that that's not

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_04]: okay so I think I'll skip it you've heard of the the term me to yes he's kind of the poster boy

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_21]: oh of sorts a lot of unnecessary kill he killed the women and the children because he hated sand

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_04]: that's right he is the Darth Vader uh and I can last iter anyway it's also the first in the

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_04]: chronology of the story running through the series and it is based on the fairy tale the little

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_04]: mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson and the little mermaid animated television series

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_04]: based on characters which ran for the story it is based on characters has nothing to do with

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_21]: Hans Christian Anderson in any way ran through I wanted to run through a tright and while watching

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_04]: this haha yeah run because it was uh it was directed by Peggy Holmes this is her feature

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_04]: directorial debut she will return in the tinkerverse oh boy he forewarned the film's story is set

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_04]: for the original film where Ariel is still young and when all music has been banned from the

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_20]: underwater kingdom of Atlantica by King Triton Ariel's still young that's that's something

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_20]: that that is kind of brushed on in the movie she's like what 12 in the original little

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_21]: yeah yeah exactly so she's 11 and a half in this one or what yeah her shells we're not

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_20]: let's put it that way yeah but the movie in this movie they kind of like big I forget what

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_20]: they said it's like I freaking I there was something that okay I'm gonna be honest I was like half

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_20]: watching the movie because it's so terrible but they're what moment where they they there's some

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_20]: reference was made and I was just like hmm she's not much older than the other movies no no

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_21]: I love or how just two things the title screen had way too many words on it it was like

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_21]: sign hell and I was already in a bad mood based on that and then in the opening narrative

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_21]: opening narration Sebastian says something about King Triton being beloved for being like a good

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_21]: leader but who would still like a guy who bands music that's tyranny come on guys

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_20]: see another music he made the trains run on time so I mean he did some other things

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_04]: finally this film was released by Walt Disney Animation or Walt Disney to film entertainment

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_04]: on August 26 2008 so we're looking at like the I mean it's only the 31st of August this is an

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_04]: anniversary though the critical reception was improved over its predecessor little mermaid too

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_04]: really yeah I would have 100% rather watched that movie the film received mostly mostly negative reviews

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_04]: that criticized the score while the animation screen paid screenplay and voice performances were praised

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_04]: because the cast ladies and gentlemen Jody Benson back as Ariel herself everyone was doing their best

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_20]: to not sound like the original voice I know like yeah many of them were the original like Samuel Wright Sebastian

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_20]: right something anything like that for sure it was just some guy that was selling hot dogs at Disney

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_20]: world there's something kind of sound they go over here or like one's kind of contest but

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Jim Cummings you know all star yeah he's King Triton and he definitely was a very Jim Cummings

[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_21]: he went then all of the well like half of the mermaid sisters are voiced by Tera Strong and

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_04]: half of them by Boyce by Great Alial which is really fair yeah and finally inexplicably

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_20]: Sally Field I think that's quite explicably because her thanks for her hasn't been let's see Sally Field

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_04]: we look up her I am maybe she's done a lot of stuff but her character name is Marina Del Rey

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_04]: that was all man anyway Sally Field said legend man but she can't sing well clearly

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_20]: she was legit yeah I mean to fun I'm not saying she's bad she's she's she they really like her

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_20]: she has been good she can be good but like it's really more longevity that I think because

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_04]: okay so we got both Tom Hanks mother and Tom Hanks girlfriend in two different films

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_04]: that's crazy she was yeah she was she was in Mrs. Doufire okay let's see 99 the whole time

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_20]: so let's start with okay four scomp post we're gonna do post four scomp that's 19 and

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_20]: four pfg woman with independent means is the next one then I for an eye in which she is

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_20]: the lead in an action film that I don't think anyone remembers homework bound lost in San Francisco

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_20]: Larry's Anderson show King the Hill Murphy Brown from the Earth's Moon cooler climate where the

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_20]: art is David Copperfield the not the magician say it isn't so the court legally blonde too

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_20]: conviction made a guest for appearance in ER two weeks and then little mermaid aerial

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_20]: areas beginning this is our best a few years before the amazing spider man which I remember everyone

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_20]: was like oh it's Sally Field remember her she's good that's it was point she was in a she was

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_20]: I mean she her career she's been acting since like the civil war so it's like I mean he actually

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_04]: was Mrs. Lincoln right yeah I forgot about that too she was Mrs. Lincoln yeah and maybe that's

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_04]: the thing is the only things I've ever seen her in are great movies right I have also

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_20]: any of the things you said yeah she's I mean she's been in a bunch of slop as well which is I mean

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_20]: no so I have a lot of good actors I mean crystal audience been in a lot of slop too so like

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_20]: I'm not knocking the lady for like making a living but you're saying this is not necessarily

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_04]: uncharacteristic based on her right previous work since Mrs. Dalfe. I feel like I feel like the

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_20]: career choices are basically like okay here are your offers and then she's like okay that in

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_20]: none of them are good it's like that one seems the easiest no go I have to leave the house

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_04]: which is a fine way to manage your career sure yeah so this movie okay many years

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_04]: before the events of the little mermaid many many I'm not sure how many many is but it's definitely

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_04]: 10 years before yeah because there's a 10 year jump in the movie

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_04]: um King Triton and his wife Queen Athena now Athena is in fact the queen of Atlantis or is it

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Atlanta I forget it depends on Atlantic huh i would like to cast right yeah i would just think

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_04]: about like legend and whatever but anyways so years before that they rule over the underwater

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_04]: kingdom of Atlantica filled with music and laughter hmm everything's great they have seven young daughters

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Athena, Alana, Adela, Aguada, Arista, Adrina and the youngest

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_21]: Audrey I mean Ariel who you could fit right in I had starts with an A um why didn't you have

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_04]: anyone named Ariadne because that's a cool name that's a good great question yeah Ariadne why did

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_04]: it take to the A thing I mean that's not this movie's fault no yeah i don't think

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_04]: it doesn't even do a thong just Anderson i don't think there are seven sisters i don't know

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_20]: one day kingdom for a son name name name him Aaron with two eggs do you think

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_21]: can try and carry it all of the eggs because he's like a sea horse i think that's very likely

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_04]: i think so i don't know much about your mermaid breathe yes a birth in hips for sure

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_21]: um i guess oh i don't know he carries them in their beard and his beard like i don't like how

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_21]: he has brown hair it looks straight yeah that ten years was really hard on him i guess so

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_21]: maybe if he had a shorter beard i i'd be more keen on it but he's just a beard brown two hairy up top

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_20]: okay i want to i want to start i want to give this movie some compliments because i think that it

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_20]: it's not deserving of many but it is deserving of a couple because as soon as i saw him with

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_20]: the brown hair i thought for sure there's gonna be a moment where he says something long lines

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_20]: of you keep this up you're going to make my hair go gray yeah because that's and i'm surprised

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_20]: they didn't yeah also i enjoyed his nipples i found them interesting and exciting i did

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_04]: i wish that the nipple hair would have also turned white that would have been fun um okay so one

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_04]: day while the murpe people relax on a lagoon above the surface king trighton gives queen Athena a music box

[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_04]: however the murfolk flee at the approach of a pirate ship wait i just thought of something

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_20]: tell us they were in the other peep they were in the human turf that's true so why this is

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_04]: i'm more angry with this movie i hadn't recognized this um so they they flee the pirate ship you

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_04]: know it's a pirate ship because the jolly roger gets flown i was waiting for jacksbarrow i'm not

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_04]: a lie i was that that's the movie that we watched is the movie that we have an animated jacksbarrow

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_04]: on the bow or something like that we don't see any pirates anyway everyone escapes except

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_04]: queen Athena who while trying to recover the music box is killed when the ship crashes into lagoon

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_04]: devastated by his wife's death trighton having become bitter of music throws the music box away

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_04]: and permanently bans music from Atlantica okay couple things here yes first off

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_20]: first off is the thing that i just now recognized which is that they are in the human there in the

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_20]: human turf and the human world so it's kind of their fault then they should recognize that second

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_20]: going after the music box putting yourself in an imminent danger is stupid yeah she's like

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_04]: special music box they they i'm not defending this stand but i will say it was a very special music box

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_04]: open it up nothing there and then magically trighton and Athena dance around play their song it's

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_04]: their song right they love music so much they live without music how about trying to live

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_21]: without a daughter like what if her daughter was on the rock and she sacrificed herself to save

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_21]: one of her makes not a material object that's why it's so good it's like maybe if it would

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_04]: were since if Ariel was trying to save the music box because she loves music so much that would

[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_04]: have been a lot of it and then Ariel has that inherent guilt right that would have been a better story

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_20]: I like that we're punching this up yeah and also why there's usually when someone for bid

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_20]: something or makes something this big like this big of a deal there's usually a connection to

[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_20]: the action that caused the problem so like if this were a a boat full of like swore the musicians

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_20]: that like we're so caught up in music that they're like i don't know how scary anymore gives music

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_20]: so great then maybe possibly it would make sense for trighton to go like no music as well again

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_20]: but uh it makes no sense narratively it's like a secret beauty if they banned sewing instead of

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_20]: needles or spinning needles right or even but I would say even even more even more fitting in that

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_20]: in that indirect way it would be what I thought you were going to say which is if they banned soap

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_20]: it's like just let's just ban this thing not at all connected to the danger at hand it would make

[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_20]: a lot more sense if they were like okay no mermaid is allowed to go up to the out-out of the

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_20]: at-at to be part of their world yeah the part of his world to not be part of their world um and

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_20]: and that would even that would tie directly into the next movie where it's like we should have been

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_20]: allowed to go there and in fact in the little mermaid it shouldn't this decision does not

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_04]: make sense is what i'm trying to say it doesn't it and that was just that was the beginning of

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_04]: the end it was like oh this is this is gonna be a bad thing it's gonna be and it's you don't care

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_04]: like they none of it you don't care about any of it like we said if Ariel had done it anyway so 10 years

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_04]: later in her sisters uh they live under a strict routine that's maintained by their governess

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Marina del Rey now when Marina was first appeared on screen and I'm like oh they have a young Ursula

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_04]: who they that's their auntie you know like it's same basic she's purple um she's got the big you know

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_04]: eyes or whatever and then they're like no we can't make her Ursula let's make her mix it again

[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_04]: let's make her mix it was a sand again yeah yeah and or the character design was what's the one from

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_04]: uh in person yeah yeah exactly they're trying to write on that coat tail

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_20]: I think that this is yeah i'm glad we all caught onto that because I think it

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_20]: in typical Disney fashion they caught on like eight years later that like hey what if we do an

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_20]: in person new groove version of the little mermaid but then it's completely tonally

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_20]: just it's an absolute faster clock of tonne because like like let's do the silly thing

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_20]: let's have this manity character that's kind of fun but then like oh we can't have too much fun

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_04]: well i mean with you going a little fast and loose is over to fun yeah the man was character was like so

[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_21]: I'm I'm still confused about this green blob that they decided to make it for sidekick

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_20]: who has no personality no the manity was was the nut in the nut filled turd for me but what

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_21]: is there a manity did they live in Florida I thought this was the Caribbean

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_04]: man as well or what should be technically is the Nordic because that's where Hans wrote

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_21]: the story and aren't manities fresh water mammals i guess my point is that don't let's not pull

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_20]: it this thread i guess my point my point was that like there was a fun thing happening where it's

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_20]: okay why not just have a manity character and what was manity supposed to be crock i don't know

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_20]: i think so i think that's what the was supposed to happen but then at the same time i feel like

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_20]: the other half of the writers room was like no we do we have to take anything involving

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_20]: aerial very very seriously we can't have too much fun with this like if they were to say

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_20]: let's just do embers new groove in like a little mermaid sausage casing like that would

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_21]: find did the embers new groove ruin animated films oh no i lost connection

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_21]: you're back you've back okay did you hear my question again no the embers new groove ruin animated

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_04]: movies no no i don't think it did i think it was the end of the Disney animation renaissance but it

[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_21]: didn't ruin it well see now we get but now we get characters nonstop that are like like

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_21]: weird and fourth wall breaking and kind of like co-cooked out animation style where it's like

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_21]: oh my face is real you stretchy but in some frames that's i think it's stretchy i i i do you're saying

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_20]: i think that it ruined it in a sentence that like the management ruined it where they were like

[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_20]: we need more of that but without even understanding where that comes from you know if it was

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_20]: like a one-off because it was really fun as the like this isn't how Disney was just supposed to be

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_20]: and if you leave it like that it stays it stays that thing but when it becomes like let's have

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_20]: every moment like someone look at the camera and go for you know like yeah that yeah then it just

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_20]: becomes new formula and it breaks the thing that was fun one could argue that this this franchise is

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_04]: a modern day they needed to treat it more specially because little married was in fact the beginning

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_04]: of Disney's renaissance of a for animation this was the beginning and they should treat

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_04]: this character in franchise with more reverence and they didn't like another example is

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Ariel's whole stick in the original film was that she longed to be out there elsewhere and she

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_04]: looked like the human trinkets yeah but like none of that was anywhere to be found into your point

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Dan this this the events of this movie take place like a week before like it's right it's not that long

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_04]: but she has no proclivity for collecting it's all about music right so you know proclivity

[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_04]: for collecting anything like could could we throw in a thing where like this is the this is the

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_04]: beginnings of her kind of fascination with like picks up a flute and she's like oh this is

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_04]: interesting and like you know something like give me something that has anything to do with the

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_21]: character that we've known they forgot the first movie existed basically yeah and like the

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_04]: this character just it has a completely different personality right but anyway it's an origin story

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_04]: there for friendship with Flounder anyway we'll get it she's fine she's that's her that's her

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_20]: all right so she is well you know stupid and then those who like all they want as a kiss yeah that's

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_04]: all they want they go for walks that's right and by the way you know who else did that the Vauntraps

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_21]: but they don't walk they have they they should call it a swim that's another from the first

[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_21]: movie that they take out she's like what are the legs she doesn't know what walking was right

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_21]: yeah they say let's go for a walk right I was like you guys just know what walking is

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_21]: this is like position A of the first move did they didn't even watch the first movie before they

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_20]: started this now they did it's very likely they didn't I mean let's be honest so Marina Delray this is

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_04]: we're 30 seconds in okay um we're finally assistant Benjamin the Manatee we spoke about

[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_04]: uh Marina hates being the girls governance okay this is something I did not catch

[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_04]: doesn't like being the governor but she longs to be King's Triton's attache which was what is

[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_04]: my was right easema yeah and that job is currently filled by Sebastian the crab

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_04]: played by the original character because he can't be a court composer because music no music

[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll be happy that's right uh Ariel's frustrated by their current lifestyle which brings her

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_04]: into arguments with her father one day Ariel encounters flounder a young tropical fish

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_20]: hold on you miss you miss something they she tickles her sisters with kelp's kelp

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_20]: beat and King Triton gets mad he hates fun and music that's that's yes it's that and that's

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_20]: I was just like Jimmy better not have like this maybe because this is so stupid

[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_20]: because it's just like it's not just like okay the music thing that's dumb but then it's just

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_21]: like no no fun at all no fun like dude just how is that even a stony laugh like this brings back

[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_21]: to the whole like I'm a benevolent leader no you aren't because you've made music illegal and you

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_21]: hate fun all of your citizens would leave because that's stupid how is there is a new

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_04]: thing I don't know if you noticed this um when it's you know 10 years later and the time

[00:35:02] [SPEAKER_04]: the movie mostly takes place everything's CP atone like there's no color right in the castle

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_04]: doesn't it's gold in the move and the original but it's like CP atone everything does it's cool still

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_04]: live here they're all prison very dry it's again it's it's the sound of music that's

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_20]: impressive society well and this makes me wonder how far does is he is he a king of the entire ocean

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_04]: no just Atlantic a it's like pride rock it's like moveasa anything the light touches okay I want

[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_04]: to go see the next town over because this place sucks well we kind of do kind of but it's still under his

[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_04]: rule it's like when they get the that yeah I guess you're right okay so um she's frustrated by

[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_04]: her lifestyle brings her arguments with her father one day aerial encounters flounder she's over

[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_04]: joy oh so yeah so flounder uh she follows into an underground music club because you know music

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_04]: illegal speak easy so it's like speak easy yeah so she's overjoyed by the presence of music

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_04]: and is shocked when she sees Sebastian performing there okay I kind of liked that that was funny

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_04]: like it humanized no no sorry that's just terrible way of putting it but it humanized for

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_21]: lack of a better term Sebastian he just likes music yeah we didn't talk about the villain song

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_04]: like no is there one yet yeah I think there isn't it there is yes I I did not take copious notes

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_21]: with the speak easy I was like thank god they used jump in the line I'm so glad this isn't

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_21]: an original song because Sally feels singing her villain motivation song I think it's the worst

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_21]: villain song of all of the movies we've ever watched she's like talks in the most time I

[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_21]: yes there was music in the back and she's her mode her motivation is to attack Sebastian

[00:37:12] [SPEAKER_21]: like isn't this aerial the thing so the villain is like I don't even care about the main character

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_20]: yeah yeah yeah yeah it's even addressed later where she's like oh I didn't even think of that

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_20]: oh I'll just tell her and it's like right what thinking of after thoughts speaking of after thoughts

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_20]: a lot of times the break is an afterthought for me but I'm gonna add it right here oh

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_02]: wow that's a lot of shrimp and red lobster for a limited time enjoy 30 shrimp for just 1099

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_02]: what sounds good you folks tonight 30 shrimp please great choice with our famous fried shrimp

[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_02]: succulents camping lemon pepper shrimp and delicious grilled shrimp that's four different kinds

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_02]: 30 shrimp on one plate just 1099 at only one place only at red lobster and kids get shrimp too

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_02]: complete meal just 299 excuse me I ordered fish and his fish I think wine order fish when

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_02]: it ends up looking like a burger hey friend see this fish introducing new seafood salad from Taco Bell

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_02]: fresh vegetables tender base shrimp and a delicious blend of white fish and snow crab a refreshing

[00:38:29] [SPEAKER_02]: change from anything on a bun if it's square it's fish if it's rounded to burger you

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_02]: see food salad from Taco Bell the cure for the common meal okay there we are hey uh the song

[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_04]: you're thinking of is called just one mistake Audrey that's it just one mistake which preceded

[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_04]: jump in the line now your glad that it was jumping the line because it wasn't original song

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_21]: because the score is terrible yes I'm glad they did not use any I'm glad they used jump in the

[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_21]: line because it beats what they wrote for this movie and is it fair to say that jump in the line

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_04]: inspired under the sea properly wanted something for Sebastian to use his Caribbean Jamaicany

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Harry Bollafonte voice without having to write a new song yep that's just thrifty and

[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_20]: I mean I agree ish because like I don't want to hear that song over and over again

[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_21]: and we do hear a lot for brother here one mistake

[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_20]: hmm well I don't think it would be one mistake but a one mistake ish thing I mean

[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_20]: maybe I mean I agree with you in a way but I also feel like that's kind of beetle juices song

[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_20]: like from that movie 100% so it's like I mean I think it's just it's a bad move from like the

[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_20]: filmmakers point of view like bad housekeeping like I think you could you could have used really

[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_20]: any other Harry that's weird he did more than just those two songs in fact I mean just play

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_04]: under the sea and change some lyrics you know but I mean they could sing under the sea but instead of

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_04]: like like the music is whatever it doesn't have to be about air I don't know

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_04]: anyways she's overdue by this uh her presence is revealed the entire band stops playing in hides

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_04]: now when she came upon it this scene is very much analog to under the sea like that's what this

[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_04]: movie beat is right yes yes bright colors dancing this is the end of the sea segment

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_04]: one thing I did like because they all like head because if they're just assumed that Ariel is going

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_04]: tell her dad because she's the princess and like there's no music allowed this speak easy

[00:41:05] [SPEAKER_04]: one thing I did like what the effect of the octopus inking which created a cloaking device

[00:41:12] [SPEAKER_04]: of sorts and they all knew how to swim through it and get away and so she's after the ink

[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_04]: you know cleared up then it's just her or by herself right I kind of like that as a cloaking device

[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_20]: they practiced it I guess is the point yeah there there is a there is a sense that they

[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_20]: practiced it yeah yeah of course this later becomes completely nullified when right

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_21]: and down there and it's just like oh it's here yeah how did she had a who did she

[00:41:45] [SPEAKER_20]: she had a holocron or the she had like a wave on her wave find her yeah she had a Sith wave find her

[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_21]: that was the dumbest part of this movie no it'd be a cute wave finder

[00:42:04] [SPEAKER_04]: I think it'd be a starfish this movie it's really bad it's really bad so and then the big

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_04]: beginning they had the guards and there were two guards different colors they were the

[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_21]: Flots of Minjetsum of the movie I want to see these two eating donuts on their big long

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_04]: things big long fin yeah they swordfish is what they were I think because there's a letter

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_20]: because there's a letter kills in the other movie that was Flots of Minjetsum right those

[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_21]: various thing to a fish besides a net electricity who in a cello I mean that brings up

[00:42:45] [SPEAKER_20]: another thing you could we could have had like Flots the the the backstory of Flotsman Jetsum

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_04]: maybe we were in the band and they got kicked out and they got tears I mean there that would have

[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_20]: been more interesting good it would have been and I don't think any of us are saying that like

[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_20]: a little mermaid three needs to be made no but if you are going to make one don't make it this

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_04]: gonna make it a prequel again tie in the original source to real why isn't Ursula their

[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_21]: governess why not are yeah maybe who had these people in the first place I got asked

[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_21]: him mom well this point well it makes sense the moms and idiot and she's a materialistic dumb fish

[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_21]: maybe she actually the sister get it well okay um I think I think the older I thought the

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_21]: sisters were fine some of them are a little bit the yes but they didn't they didn't make them too stupid

[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_21]: like the oldest sister has responsibilities and she's responsible and when the sisters finally

[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_21]: get to go to the nightclub I like that they made some of them super happy to be there and some

[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_04]: of them like oh yeah well nervous about that one quick dance one wanted a boy waiting out of play

[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_20]: for me it was just more like the complete inconsistency of tone like sometimes sometimes they were

[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_20]: just like vapid and annoying and in the night of times they're like oh yeah we actually have a character

[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_20]: and it's like it's I almost feel like again the like I can almost feel the like

[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_20]: the groups in the the clicks in the writing room or in the production staff where they're like

[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_20]: okay what if we explore the dynamic between the sisters and the other side of the table it's like

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_20]: yeah but what if they're like the step sisters from all those Cinderella sequels that people love so much

[00:44:38] [SPEAKER_04]: you know yeah kind of and it's like the character development is that one has blonde hair right

[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_04]: right it's just it shapes and colors again this one has polky things out of her head and

[00:44:50] [SPEAKER_20]: and then brown hair and then when they're supportive and rational all it it's like they turn on

[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_20]: a dime where there's like yeah Ariel we still we've hated you more than ever now like really take you

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_04]: thank you for introducing music back to our lives to make us happy again you're the devil

[00:45:06] [SPEAKER_21]: just as inconsistent as the animation quality the whole thing is inconsistent everything I speak of

[00:45:14] [SPEAKER_04]: literally when when they it's all pretty much hand drawn right but then yes but then when they have

[00:45:21] [SPEAKER_04]: the computer animation music box thing yeah at the end the music box things like whoa whoa

[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_21]: so there's a there's a scene that I had to replay over and over because the animation was so

[00:45:35] [SPEAKER_21]: awful it was when Ariel discovers that Sebastian is the singer she goes Sebastian but like

[00:45:43] [SPEAKER_21]: the animation her face the frames were so confusing and bad it was that's when I was like oh this

[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_21]: this is not good this is really really bad and then she singing her like I my want song

[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_21]: and they did like a profile for a minute and like it's like a third grade was drawing a profile

[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_21]: for the first time but then it cuts to like the governess who's like whoa you you know

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_20]: by the way how does she sing how does she suddenly sing well like that's there should have been

[00:46:18] [SPEAKER_20]: at least a half second or something of her going you know something she's never done something yeah

[00:46:23] [SPEAKER_04]: just something some sort of remember yeah yeah that song wait hey okay that that was forgettable

[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_21]: it wasn't so bad that I hated it it was okay it was just the least one song this movie

[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_04]: was I remember not the same tune as the the the mom and dad song thanks oh I don't I don't know

[00:46:46] [SPEAKER_04]: she's a thina song endless sky was the name of that but I remember it's just because they live in

[00:46:51] [SPEAKER_04]: the ocean and the sky yeah we'll see there was in the sky and she was looking at said in the sky when

[00:46:58] [SPEAKER_20]: she got hit by it so it should have been we can be anywhere we want in the kitchen I love that let's

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_20]: write that world our world is our toy the right by the way you there were moments when

[00:47:14] [SPEAKER_20]: it was like really emotional and then in this movie I think this movie is just so bad

[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_20]: that like I just went on these like side quests trying to find anything interesting where I'm

[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_04]: like so she does start crying we wouldn't be able to see it yeah yeah I think the same

[00:47:35] [SPEAKER_04]: hmm maybe they cried bubbles that's right but no no to be fair

[00:47:42] [SPEAKER_21]: studio gubley animating that because they animate tears so nicely but like seeing it float up

[00:47:47] [SPEAKER_20]: orange grants so much yeah you're a regular jacuzzi she's crying I'm not crying so we're just put

[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_04]: air on my face so but now Dan Aero does remember music because she she was cognizant she was

[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_20]: aware of her mother she knew music she used to sing but even okay Jimmy you have sung in a previous

[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_20]: life right yes if you were to just like get up on in front of a bunch people and say like

[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_20]: in there like okay now Jimmy's gonna sing us a very difficult Billy Joel song yeah you would it would

[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_20]: be rough right you would it would be rough right and do it maybe like sometimes around the

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_04]: bridge or whatever it would be like okay now I get it you know that's true yeah it's fair

[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_21]: because she's very sure perspective it would have added a lot more to the song if she started

[00:48:43] [SPEAKER_21]: off singing weekly it's like suddenly see more in little shopahores yeah Audrey's singing kind of like

[00:48:49] [SPEAKER_21]: I'm soft in a frayed and then towards the edge she's belting it so nicely what an aditude or

[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_20]: character development in the little mermaid the original version where like her voice is such a big deal

[00:49:03] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah that's the point you know you know what it would have made this nice a good point Dan again no continuity

[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_20]: you know what it made there is continuity and it's the worst part of the movie it's the storyline

[00:49:14] [SPEAKER_20]: with him music yeah yeah the the like we're gonna because that who cares honestly because I I've seen

[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_20]: the other movie I know this is gonna change yeah exactly that's good point um

[00:49:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Audrey to your point I think what it would have made this movie better is if she actually sang

[00:49:34] [SPEAKER_04]: suddenly see more like that would have made more sense I mean make it a jook buck musical

[00:49:40] [SPEAKER_04]: this right you already did you got jump in the line for god's sake yeah anyway so this song that she

[00:49:46] [SPEAKER_04]: sings is about her love of music and the remembrance of her mother and that she is and then she's

[00:49:52] [SPEAKER_04]: accepted as a member of the club after she swears the oath of secrecy

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_04]: right because they hear her sang and they're like oh she must she's cool yeah her singing like us

[00:50:01] [SPEAKER_20]: if this was a B plot it wouldn't have been off or it wouldn't have wouldn't have made sense but it

[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_20]: wouldn't have like haunted me the entire it felt like three hours I was watching this movie

[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_04]: hey don't fail long okay so arrow returns to the palace and her sisters confront her over her

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_04]: disappearance she explains where she was and following right if that following night the girls go

[00:50:26] [SPEAKER_04]: with her to the club and they have a good time girl snye marina finds them instantly

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_04]: even though Ariel goes through the series of tunnels and like secret codes and secret knocks

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_20]: she literally has to follow flounder who by the way is a completely different character in this

[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_20]: photo it's okay like as well be as sure um flounder is as sure confirmed

[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_20]: a lot of people were saying it everyone's saying it um yeah i mean and that would have been

[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_20]: maybe an interesting thing is like maybe have the manatee like was a former members or like this

[00:51:11] [SPEAKER_20]: this calm you know docile character yeah i know how to get in begrudgingly i'll take you even though

[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_21]: you know because i used to be one of them yeah i was i thought begrudging was gonna double cross

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_20]: Sally fields no like like cut up in a hero it would have been it would have added something

[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_20]: funny i just i just loved how passive he was i thought it was like i enjoyed it but and what it

[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_20]: had is some funny layer for him to be like yeah you know how much of a party or I was back in the day

[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_04]: like very soft spoken manatee gentle giant or just to see him at the club already like

[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_20]: oh yeah dancing yeah she follows all his him there like anything other than just like hey

[00:51:58] [SPEAKER_04]: i just happened to find so she finds them and then she reports their activities to king

[00:52:04] [SPEAKER_04]: right and who destroys the club with his tried and another reason yeah what an idiot hate this

[00:52:12] [SPEAKER_04]: so then Sebastian flounder and the band are all sent to prison now and then so at that point marina's

[00:52:19] [SPEAKER_04]: given the Sebastian's position which means she will change the rules of Atlantica the next morning

[00:52:23] [SPEAKER_21]: the girls are confined to the pales of punishment okay change the rules just like she changes her outfit

[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_21]: because she likes goes like that's right right weird thing that's her thing she likes to change clothes

[00:52:36] [SPEAKER_04]: a fun gag i guess was the the the prison doors are like coral but every one of those

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_04]: creatures could swim through the holes in said i mean it would be fun in a movie that embraced

[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_04]: more more of its inherent ridiculousness yeah because there was no lock on the door either right there was a lot

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_04]: push it open she can use a rock to smash it okay so it's an ineffective lock it was done

[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_04]: so the girls are confined to the pales they can't go in okay so that night aerial freeze her

[00:53:21] [SPEAKER_04]: friends and leaves Atlantica Sebastian leads them to the deserted place far away from the pales

[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_04]: were aerial finds queen Athena's music box yeah okay so they make their way you know that

[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_04]: this is trudging through and they find this big open abyss right happens too by the way just

[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_04]: well to find it well yeah okay so yes it they they happen upon this thing let's got good acoustic

[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_04]: I guess they all assume Sebastian's lost but he led them there specifically so that not so that he could

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_04]: find the music box right so that aerial could happen upon the music box for herself so he's been

[00:54:01] [SPEAKER_20]: living he's been living this secret life for 10 years yeah and all of a sudden because it's because

[00:54:08] [SPEAKER_20]: airils the main okay here's the thing I figured it out so Sebastian knows he's a supporting character

[00:54:14] [SPEAKER_20]: and he has to wait until the main character in the movie has a reason for

[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_20]: the searching care about music yeah by the way another missed opportunity aerial who's totally

[00:54:27] [SPEAKER_20]: could have like found the music box and gone like oh I can add this to my collection

[00:54:33] [SPEAKER_21]: yeah that's what I'm saying maybe she's here earlier in the movie and then has to come back

[00:54:39] [SPEAKER_21]: to it when they realize it's important like yeah maybe yeah but we're like in a fire I think

[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_04]: your the relationship between Sebastian and aerial is so like in the first movie they're like sworn

[00:54:53] [SPEAKER_04]: enemies they're not like Speaky's he prison breakout buddies right they don't sing enough

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_21]: a pebble version of jump in the line with Caesar and do sing cuts that was weird I hated that

[00:55:08] [SPEAKER_21]: I was almost starting to like the movie a little bit more for some reason I think it was because

[00:55:14] [SPEAKER_21]: governess's celebration come syndrome yes that too and it was late now it's tired and I was like okay

[00:55:21] [SPEAKER_21]: they're manipulative tools are working on me but no it went away after that I guess

[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_20]: I mean what are the stakes in this there are none there are maybe stakes maybe

[00:55:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I was gonna make a what are they called there are swordfish stakes there we thank you

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_20]: thank you and what what it's what character growth is there in I mean okay maybe tried and

[00:55:50] [SPEAKER_20]: but that's it I mean it's just it's sort of just like we flipped a switch and now he's like not terrible

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_04]: now he's like always has the potential to me yeah like yeah anyway so she finds a music box

[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_04]: as Sebastian had hoped aerial flounder and Sebastian decided to return to Atlantic the friend stay behind because

[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_04]: they're I don't know why no it's not what I mean so if I were to go back to founder can do

[00:56:18] [SPEAKER_04]: why would you go back to that city that play sucks right yeah that's fair but what what is it that

[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_20]: Mariana was gonna change yeah I don't I don't know I think it's just she just wanted to

[00:56:33] [SPEAKER_20]: which again if you're gonna play up the ridiculousness of the movie and the situation that could have

[00:56:40] [SPEAKER_20]: worked if you make it into this like purely just like just making fun of like the the the

[00:56:48] [SPEAKER_20]: bureaucracy within the kingdom like within the groundwork within the framework of like everything

[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_20]: about this is silly and we're gonna I think the the really issue is that at some point

[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_20]: one like sect of the writer's room was like what we can't make aerial funny what are you talking

[00:57:06] [SPEAKER_20]: yeah we can't possibly do that she's like girl

[00:57:13] [SPEAKER_21]: unless they're ugly then they can be hilarious right

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_04]: only if they're evil so anyway so they go back to stop this to stop marina and Benjamin from changing

[00:57:29] [SPEAKER_04]: the laws I guess and then they bring the music box that came in and hoping that it will change his mind

[00:57:36] [SPEAKER_04]: as he's not remembered how to be happy after Queen Athena Seth you there's no how to be happy guys

[00:57:44] [SPEAKER_21]: well I don't know maybe he just needs a few minutes with his brows and a radical we'll get

[00:57:50] [SPEAKER_20]: to that in a minute well on a founder better segue if you listen or would like to figure out

[00:57:56] [SPEAKER_20]: away for yourself to be happy here's the actual ad break for something that will make you

[00:58:03] [SPEAKER_20]: extremely happy and maybe it's blue to I hope it's ice cream I hope it's Audrey's still doing the

[00:58:11] [SPEAKER_04]: ad read meanwhile King Triton welcome back King Triton is informed that Ariel is missing and he orders

[00:58:21] [SPEAKER_04]: his cards to think her for masking rather than size arena wanting to retain her position releases

[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_04]: her electric yields to hunt down an eliminate Ariel and Sebastian why why don't they use the

[00:58:33] [SPEAKER_21]: other deals to have electric things in their city and you know get into the industrial age

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_21]: they could grow this economy but they choose not to the e-lion tricks

[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah marina didn't have she she had an i want song I guess but what she wanted to change clothes like

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_21]: what is she want maybe she said in her song that was to upset to pay attention yeah

[00:59:07] [SPEAKER_20]: I think to answer your question the eels are there because they wanted I maybe at some point they're like

[00:59:14] [SPEAKER_20]: you know nothing here ties into the original movie except for the characters eels yes I can

[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I've got a good eel in the old idea you know what have been good a fun little fun funny fun

[00:59:32] [SPEAKER_04]: would be if the eels who'd love clearly love marina if they were like loving honor and swoon

[00:59:39] [SPEAKER_04]: around her and if she said they like me they really like me that's funny I mean got joke

[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_20]: in a movie full of other jokes it would have been a joke that would have worked you know like

[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah all right we're almost done um Ariel and a friends are confronted by marina on the way back in

[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_04]: struggling shoes Ariel's friends defeat marina zeals just as king-tripe and arrives

[01:00:10] [SPEAKER_04]: marina barrels towards Sebastian and tries to kill him and they have Ariel blocks her way

[01:00:16] [SPEAKER_20]: wonderful fight in which Sebastian's an engine that's right I think it was on my phone

[01:00:24] [SPEAKER_21]: when this was happening because I was so boring they're trying to cut seaweed and the seaweed wasn't

[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_04]: seaweed because it was the the eels yeah and then the net and then I don't know there was in that

[01:00:38] [SPEAKER_20]: yeah I I had to pause this movie at some point and I forgot why and I had that I had a time

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_20]: scrape you know where you're like okay surely the movie is almost over yeah I just can feel it

[01:00:54] [SPEAKER_20]: narratively on whatever loose thread of narrative there is I just feel like the movie is almost

[01:01:01] [SPEAKER_20]: over and I pause it and I looked at it it's like halfway through yeah well it's taken for a lot of

[01:01:07] [SPEAKER_20]: the credits do take a lot of time but still it was it was sad and then I I had to pause it again

[01:01:13] [SPEAKER_20]: for some reason and every time there was more time left the movie had to be positive right no but

[01:01:21] [SPEAKER_20]: every time like I've done this before with these movies where it's just like okay well

[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_20]: I'm gonna stop when I have to stop there's that feeling of like okay I have to stop what I'm

[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_20]: doing because I have to finish this other thing this time every single time it's like I would just get

[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_20]: drawn into anything like even as boring stuff is like making sure that my job title on my email

[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_20]: address was correct like stuff that I would normally avoid doing I was finding way more interesting

[01:01:50] [SPEAKER_20]: and then five minutes right or this movie right and in five minutes after I would finish that

[01:01:56] [SPEAKER_20]: I would then be like okay well I guess I'm right and oh that's funny I don't know it's like

[01:02:02] [SPEAKER_20]: it's like that group it's like a group project in school that you're like yeah okay I said

[01:02:07] [SPEAKER_20]: that I had been working on this part of it for like a month now and I have to finally pull my way

[01:02:14] [SPEAKER_20]: and I have like two hours to pull it all together it was that feeling every single time they had

[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_04]: to restart the movie my kid came in his friend wants to go to our town center on their bikes and I'm like

[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry I started this thing like an hour and a half before we started recording right

[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I have to get to this movie anyway it might have continued to play why I went to help them

[01:02:40] [SPEAKER_04]: okay so Ariel's for Ariel stops Marina's like whatever to kill Sebastian Ariel blocks it

[01:02:48] [SPEAKER_04]: and she guy hit the process and she falls apparently she's dead guys we all thought

[01:02:54] [SPEAKER_04]: there was some really tense moments where I thought she was so much blood it was crazy

[01:03:01] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah I mean there's one to town on that start of course Keaton yeah I said this one

[01:03:06] [SPEAKER_04]: and they're like no she just got her first period sorry on the count of her being so incredibly young you

[01:03:15] [SPEAKER_04]: know Keaton uh sees it he blames himself of course he having a change of heart and making

[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_04]: the bitterness of music go away his bitterness of music sorry sings to Ariel and she revives

[01:03:29] [SPEAKER_04]: the two of them reconcil after that music is soon restored to Atlantica after 10 years

[01:03:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Marina and Benjamin are imprisoned in the dungeon biking tried and as punishment for their crimes

[01:03:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Sebastian is appointed at length as first official court composer and everyone celebrate the end

[01:03:47] [SPEAKER_21]: what if what do you think um okay capital punishment exists in Atlantica

[01:03:55] [SPEAKER_21]: did they just toss them on top of a rock and like chain them right in where they end the original movie

[01:04:05] [SPEAKER_21]: it's true I mean based on the logic slice and dice just like off with their heads

[01:04:13] [SPEAKER_04]: well she was imprisoned you know she likes to change outfits she was in a black and white striped

[01:04:17] [SPEAKER_20]: outfit maybe she went nurse sewer and that's how we get marinated man oh geez

[01:04:26] [SPEAKER_21]: she's beautiful enough to be painted or does that make the story maybe she got bit by something

[01:04:30] [SPEAKER_04]: and she became Ursula now no two different she's not voiced by Pat Carol she got bit by like

[01:04:40] [SPEAKER_04]: eat everything in sight fish oh but if you put a manatee and Marina together they make an Ursula

[01:04:51] [SPEAKER_20]: maybe they made it could or yeah or I'm thinking of ways that she could die like she got

[01:04:59] [SPEAKER_20]: food poisoning from like people food where did the tentacles come up you know how people can get sick

[01:05:06] [SPEAKER_04]: like raw seafood maybe she had some raw chicken oh or I like where you're going where the

[01:05:14] [SPEAKER_20]: tentacles come from maybe she was exposed maybe oh god okay she's very waste right no even better

[01:05:21] [SPEAKER_20]: king tried and king tried and is the person who created the black goo from the alien franchise

[01:05:30] [SPEAKER_20]: and this is going to be no place Reno was exposed to the black goo and her body she mutated

[01:05:39] [SPEAKER_04]: but we did we find out in the second one that Ursula was king tried and sister I think we found

[01:05:47] [SPEAKER_04]: that out in a Cinderella or little mermaid too sort of the sea Ursula's been here the whole time

[01:05:53] [SPEAKER_21]: she's just doing what she's on rum spree. and slaving other people yeah she's she goes off as a

[01:06:05] [SPEAKER_20]: human and she wants to come back that she can well I'm yet she wasn't she in the story wasn't she

[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_20]: like an ex communicated to which for the like she she worked for Triton before that so it

[01:06:19] [SPEAKER_20]: so she would have been in she would have been around and like yeah as much as I'm not a fan of

[01:06:29] [SPEAKER_20]: having let's have let's have this this have new reasons to have pet curl be the voice

[01:06:36] [SPEAKER_20]: nothing against her it's just a gift sold um it would have made sense what if this was

[01:06:44] [SPEAKER_20]: this could have totally been a story where we see how Ursula becomes evil and Dan you know what

[01:06:51] [SPEAKER_04]: if John Lasseter had not hugged animated sequels mm-hmm we would 100% have gotten Ursula's

[01:06:59] [SPEAKER_04]: origin story 100% think about you know you got Cruella you've got Maleficent yeah who's the same

[01:07:06] [SPEAKER_04]: story maybe could be live action pet curls still live oh well in our hearts maybe that's for

[01:07:17] [SPEAKER_04]: the live action actors to voice yeah anyway it'll happen there's I mean there was already a live

[01:07:25] [SPEAKER_04]: action little mermaid why not there's a prequel to Lion King called Nufasa scar is gonna be in it obviously

[01:07:32] [SPEAKER_04]: all right I'm so tired we're yeah we have a special guest on the show on the phone it has

[01:07:44] [SPEAKER_04]: been on the phone she's been on hold this whole time but when we found out that this movie was

[01:07:51] [SPEAKER_04]: animated by Disney tune Australia we wanted to get her on the line first of all before we get her

[01:07:58] [SPEAKER_04]: the beer we're gonna drink is it from Mount Brewing Company and that Mount Brewing Company is in

[01:08:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Monna Mon Gennui Manga Nui Australia I think I'm pronouncing that right it's called

[01:08:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Mermaid's Merth IPA that's an American pale ale Mermaid's Merth here to tell us about it

[01:08:20] [SPEAKER_04]: our friend fellow podcaster she love Australia she let's tell us about her name's Merth IPA

[01:08:28] [SPEAKER_21]: now close it go I'm sorry mate I was just talking to her I see how you always do

[01:08:37] [SPEAKER_21]: really good to see that Audrey thanks for keeping me waiting I've been here for the whole time you've

[01:08:43] [SPEAKER_21]: been gabbing on right we're talking about being and a few years this movie is gonna come

[01:08:49] [SPEAKER_20]: to your kind of kids right and excited yeah we've just I don't recognize you I don't recognize

[01:08:54] [SPEAKER_21]: you watch it no well all right then um and we've just we've just received toy story the first one

[01:09:03] [SPEAKER_21]: that's an incredible film I wanted

[01:09:07] [SPEAKER_21]: uh so right here's the beer our Mermaid's Merth is a bit of a local legend here in Mount Manga Nui

[01:09:15] [SPEAKER_21]: generously packed with American hopes to a citrus sinco and shinook deliver a citrus leaf flavor

[01:09:22] [SPEAKER_21]: and aroma supported by a clean and crispy body exceptionally easy drinking for 6%

[01:09:28] [SPEAKER_21]: she may be legendary but comes with a cautionary tale get it hey all right he's had it

[01:09:35] [SPEAKER_21]: like a mermaid has to tell you she's the bath tub was some salt water yeah so he does this

[01:09:43] [SPEAKER_21]: also eat the skin I've been trying out my skin a little bit but you know that's uh to different

[01:09:50] [SPEAKER_21]: strikes the different strokes when I always say you get a strokes swimming get it swimming strokes

[01:09:56] [SPEAKER_21]: I see you see that have you had this beer I have not now I drink fosters explicitly

[01:10:04] [SPEAKER_21]: come on windcruins we have a we have the sponsorship with them you know they send us a

[01:10:12] [SPEAKER_21]: broad to the US for improv shows I don't think we've got one coming up in time soon but if

[01:10:19] [SPEAKER_04]: we do all I'll give you boys a free ticket oh thank you Ted do you know the character who plays blue

[01:10:30] [SPEAKER_04]: do you know how blue yet? no I don't know what we have to do really ironic

[01:10:36] [SPEAKER_20]: we have to come up with you guys even even things that are made in Australia currently won't

[01:10:44] [SPEAKER_20]: be in Australia for like 20 years. I think that the dege is came out.

[01:10:49] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah.

[01:10:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Sheila thank you for joining us on that you can you can hang up now I know that the tolls are very

[01:10:58] [SPEAKER_21]: all right yeah I'll just be in my life.

[01:11:02] [SPEAKER_21]: that's all.

[01:11:03] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah that's all.

[01:11:07] [SPEAKER_21]: there's the same height anyway yeah well all right well thank you Sheila thank you you guys have a great day

[01:11:14] [SPEAKER_04]: all right you did I might.

[01:11:18] [SPEAKER_04]: good day okay so that's what we're gonna drink she is funny yeah

[01:11:26] [SPEAKER_04]: anyway Audrey do you know what we're gonna be eating well we're watching this movie?

[01:11:30] [SPEAKER_21]: yes you guys I'm so glad we watched this movie I watched this movie last night right after having

[01:11:36] [SPEAKER_21]: dinner in PB with my mom and her friend because my mom's coming to visit and I just want to tell

[01:11:41] [SPEAKER_21]: both about the best fish restaurant in San Diego and that is the fishery.

[01:11:46] [SPEAKER_21]: I've been there five times now every single meal has been so fantastic this is not a bit

[01:11:53] [SPEAKER_21]: I'm just I'm trying to spread the word everyone should go to this restaurant last night we had

[01:11:57] [SPEAKER_21]: a grilled Pacific bone in sort chop which has shormous spice mahamara partially tomato salad and

[01:12:04] [SPEAKER_21]: pita grilled pita and we also had one of the specials which was like a tuna tartar that was

[01:12:10] [SPEAKER_21]: good I've been there the last time I went they did a special they did a tuna paccata

[01:12:18] [SPEAKER_21]: which was like a big smash piece of tuna with like paccata sauce it was so good my mouth is watering

[01:12:25] [SPEAKER_21]: right now just think about it we also got the I do think it's appropriate because it's seafood yeah yeah

[01:12:30] [SPEAKER_21]: it was perfect anyway go to this restaurant or seller hand in Hillcrest both amazing fish spots

[01:12:37] [SPEAKER_21]: the fishery the fishery in PB and what's PB that Pacific beach yeah so I've been sitting on a beach

[01:12:46] [SPEAKER_21]: I'm going to sit on the beach immediately after this and uh

[01:12:50] [SPEAKER_21]: I'm gonna think about how awful this movie was but how delicious the food is at the fishery

[01:12:56] [SPEAKER_21]: This is not sponsored but sponsored Dan you should get the responsibility

[01:13:01] [SPEAKER_20]: Dan basically I have a call I have two choices which is fitting

[01:13:07] [SPEAKER_20]: and they're both gonna be relatively quick so I have been obsessed with berry manalo's songs about

[01:13:17] [SPEAKER_20]: music and it's a thing that people like look at me and they're like what are you talking about

[01:13:21] [SPEAKER_20]: but you got that he has he had this weird thing he's dead right um had the where he would

[01:13:27] [SPEAKER_20]: write songs that are about music in some way got copicabana the buggy buggy buggy buggy buggy boy saying

[01:13:34] [SPEAKER_20]: the like uh like it was a thing that he would do too much and yes I'm going here it's a little song

[01:13:46] [SPEAKER_20]: about him writing songs called I read the songs it's song about berry manalo who writes songs

[01:13:55] [SPEAKER_20]: because it's a song that he wrote and if he were to do something like this once

[01:14:05] [SPEAKER_20]: he is me

[01:14:10] [SPEAKER_20]: fun fact if you want to do this song at karaoke I highly recommend that you make it

[01:14:18] [SPEAKER_20]: a tribute song about berry manalo and you just change i to heat you're absolutely good

[01:14:27] [SPEAKER_20]: he had that guy and then at the end very end when it says i in music and i write the songs

[01:14:35] [SPEAKER_20]: he just changes to heat berry manalo and be right

[01:14:40] [SPEAKER_21]: he's gonna lie by the way what is that possible well i think he dies that he can sing the song

[01:14:46] [SPEAKER_20]: and he said he was a better manalo oh yeah yeah exactly that yeah so okay you all get the bit

[01:14:56] [SPEAKER_20]: there's another thing nothing else i thought of when i was watching this which was

[01:15:00] [SPEAKER_20]: there's a severe tonal problem throughout this entire movie and that made me think of a

[01:15:06] [SPEAKER_20]: certain band called mr. bungle who you may or may not be familiar with this is platyplists by

[01:15:12] [SPEAKER_20]: one of my favorite albums or from one of my favorite albums disco full on tape by mr. bungle

[01:15:29] [SPEAKER_01]: it'll speak red song for a manalo and lumberman

[01:15:38] [SPEAKER_20]: and i let all afraid in where's it like it now that's kind of what mr. bungle that just take a movie

[01:16:00] [SPEAKER_20]: so mr. bungle does first all every album is different so

[01:16:05] [SPEAKER_20]: it's a right you can't even have platyplists oh yeah this is in it this is Mike Patton from

[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_20]: faith no more it's he's this is his name or original band they just got together and

[01:16:22] [SPEAKER_20]: they're all very very skilled musicians there's like let's do something where we give everyone

[01:16:29] [SPEAKER_20]: like whiplash the entire thing it goes from like death metal to plasma and like everything

[01:16:38] [SPEAKER_20]: in between and it's on purpose yeah it's like jazz it's a notes you don't it's sort of yeah

[01:16:48] [SPEAKER_20]: and having struggled with this album in this band i think the trick is it's sort of like when

[01:16:56] [SPEAKER_20]: it's a new feeling of glass you can't fight for repetition you have to lean into the repetition

[01:17:01] [SPEAKER_20]: and then it unfolds you're like oh there's so much more here same thing with this if you try to fight

[01:17:07] [SPEAKER_20]: the back and forth nature of it if you're good with it that's something it is something

[01:17:19] [SPEAKER_04]: there's movie was terrible is it the worst no I will wait I'll remind you

[01:17:28] [SPEAKER_20]: I would rather watch bells magic no stop I think I would I think I would in fact I think we

[01:17:36] [SPEAKER_20]: would we should rewatch it oh my god as the the final after we go through the tinker verse we should

[01:17:43] [SPEAKER_20]: rewatch it to see if it actually is the worst yeah that's good but I would say I'm about to that

[01:17:49] [SPEAKER_04]: wall okay so tinker verse but there is an interruption in the tinker verse okay

[01:17:56] [SPEAKER_04]: this is the disturbance the tinker verse just the disturbance in the verse which was

[01:18:00] [SPEAKER_04]: tigger and poo and a musical too so tinker bell tinker and poo tinker bell and the last treasure

[01:18:09] [SPEAKER_04]: tinker bell in the great fairy rescue secret of the wings directed by the same person

[01:18:15] [SPEAKER_04]: directed this movie the pirate fairy and finally tinker bell and the legend of the never

[01:18:21] [SPEAKER_04]: beast which was 2015 I feel everything after 2015 everything got so much better in the world

[01:18:31] [SPEAKER_04]: let's go because these animated features ended so that's it guys that's uh we're almost there

[01:18:38] [SPEAKER_04]: we're gonna handle the tinker verse we're coming up upon the fall dealers choices coming up

[01:18:47] [SPEAKER_20]: I say we should let's let's let's try to finish the tinker verse before our dealers choice

[01:18:53] [SPEAKER_04]: let's do it wow anyway so thank you both always a pleasure

[01:19:00] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah we have other shows on the network the supreme resort obviously

[01:19:07] [SPEAKER_04]: heirs up and now there's a new one that winter was a boy in it boys

[01:19:13] [SPEAKER_04]: they in no way took our idea and they're reviewing the live action films not the live

[01:19:21] [SPEAKER_04]: action sequels the live action original IP Disney stuff and there's the the puny pod guys they're

[01:19:30] [SPEAKER_04]: talking about the the Marvel Cinematic Universe the Star Wars guys the Banthe Moon podcast

[01:20:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Disney will pay him
