[00:00:01] Welcome to Pew Pod's monthly bugle for June 2024. My name is Ryan and my cohost as always is David David, how are we doing this evening? Well we are my eartrums right now to that little intro. Our little shell shocked. I am pretty good for Wednesday
[00:00:22] and how are you, my man? Not too shabby, not too shabby. It's not cold enough to be swimming lessons season so you know, I was free on a Wednesday night to record with you.
[00:00:37] Oh great awesome. Hopefully that means that Teddy is doubling up tomorrow in his laps. Good luck my man. Yeah, I mean at some point we're almost up to the we're almost up to the hundreds today. This week here in Colorado. So maybe it's the opposite. Maybe
[00:00:54] I got to get him running in this heat. Wait, it's a hand to greaser? Almost. I think 98 is the hide-emorrow. Uh, I, I, I, I least slim color. I do not miss that super dry super hot.
[00:01:09] Yeah, it's always this first, this first one's the worst. It's like because less than a month ago we were getting down to like like I planted. So I planted a garden, uh, like a salsa garden with peppers and stuff. I planted that on the weekend of Memorial Day
[00:01:29] And I was worried because we got down to 32 degrees overnight like the following week after I had planted all that stuff. I was worried that the, my peppers were going to freeze and then here I am staring down highs in the upper 90s.
[00:01:49] Oh man, that is, uh, that is rough. I, um, yeah, I don't, yeah, I love the barrier. It was pretty warm here. We got a little bit of heat wave.
[00:02:01] But I do remember living in Colorado. I do remember like specifically planting two lips and then like the frost comes. I'm like, oh, great. These are all going to die. This sucks. Why don't we let him by doing so anyway folks welcome to Garden Talk.
[00:02:18] Yep. Hey, we've been beer talk. We've been beard talk. Uh, we've been all kinds of things. Well, it's just one more to add to our letter. A lot of nerd nonsense talk.
[00:02:31] Exactly. Well, everybody, uh, this is the monthly bugle. This is where we cover Marvel news and current content for, uh, for the Marvel stuff.
[00:02:43] Uh, so first and foremost, we want to get into the current content. Since our last recording, the final episode of X-Men 97 has come out was part three of the, our tolerance is extinction.
[00:02:58] Just a quick rundown of what happened in the episode. I promise this is not going to be our two part or four hour breakdown episodes like we do for all of our movies, but with Wolverine critically injured,
[00:03:12] we can save your text control of Magneto and restores power to earth fracturing Magneto's mind.
[00:03:18] Gene, who decides she's going to connect back to the Phoenix Force places the call places a nullification collar on bastion. This allows the prime centenoles to restore humanity and reverses ministers mutant augmentation which freeze cable.
[00:03:39] The X-Men fight to prevent bastion from crashing asteroid M into the earth, causing a brand new extinction event. But it's still plummet after the US government launches missiles at the asteroid hoping to destroy it. This is shades of secovia from, uh, age of Ultron. Haven't seen it.
[00:04:02] Now I know that's a lie, David. All of our listeners know that's a lie. In fact, you spent four hours talking about it. Oh my god, you spent so much time talking about it. Anyway, keep going. I digress. I'm sorry.
[00:04:14] With Xavier's help, Magneto regains consciousness and sends the asteroid back into space. The explodes and most of the X-Men are presumed dead. However, six months later Bishop arrives and tells forge that the X-Men are just trapped in time.
[00:04:29] Cyclops and Gene are out in 3960 AD, a desolate future where they encounter mother eskante and a young Nathan, a king. They're not Bishop. Okay, well, yep. That backwards. It's okay. Close enough. And then on the other side of time, we have rogue, night crawler, beast, Xavier and Magneto.
[00:04:56] They're all in ancient Egypt in 3000 BC where they meet a man who is fighting off some local villagers. And he identifies himself as En Sabah, Nure, A.K.A. Apocalypse, Bum-Bum-Bum.
[00:05:22] Cut to a mid-credits scene where we actually see Apocalypse in modern day picking up one of Gambit's playing cards in genosha. So yeah, this is obviously leading us towards season two of X-Men 97.
[00:05:40] I'm really stoked because this is very, very clearly going to be four horsemen story where Gambit becomes, I believe he's the horsemen death. If memory serves me, but he is one of Apocalypse's horsemen and I am so here for that. It is a really cool storyline.
[00:06:05] And I know there's a ton of X-Men, like X-Men readers from mid to late 90s into the 2000s who are absolutely rabid for this storyline. I bet the season as a whole, as one who did not watch it was very enjoyable.
[00:06:28] Like I got it to use a popular Tony Stark reference, it wetted by Beek for X-Men. To be specific, you didn't watch the original run. You watched X-Men 97. Yes, to be too be clear. So I don't have that same nostalgia factor.
[00:06:50] So for me, like I'm taking the series on its own, I'm not going to go back and rewatch the original series but I was just trying to approach it with kind of fresh mind. I enjoyed it. I thought the pace was a little bit quick.
[00:07:04] You know, I thought the burns were a lot of comic storylines. And I wouldn't mind it being a bit slower, but it's a minor, it's a minor complaint.
[00:07:16] Yeah, this is currently, I believe still rated as the highest rated MCU project on Rotten Tomatoes and I think it fully deserves that. I will say the pacing thing is something that actually drives me nuts about kind of TV across the board right now.
[00:07:36] The streamers have kind of picked it with the way that streaming works and the way that release schedules work for streaming and really trying to push this envelope of like prestige TV.
[00:07:49] Releasing eight episodes or you know, in this case 10 episodes that are, you know, approximately 30 to 60 minutes it varies a little bit here and there.
[00:08:00] All, you know, releasing all of that and then the hard part is the pacing would be okay if they went at that break next speed.
[00:08:08] If we were getting something else in another six months right the old traditional kind of TV schedule like you take a summer break and then you're back in the fall with with the same familiar shows.
[00:08:21] That's not really bearing out anymore, right you you have to wait another year sometimes two years to get to the next season and so I do think that pacing it bothers me too but it is not unique to this series I would say.
[00:08:40] So I listened to one of the kind of, I'm going to struggle with the exact role but basically one of the people who's involved with the show they talked about like bow to man who is like oh, it means that show and people really were at all with the loss their head writer and it's all going to collapse.
[00:09:01] And the, the creator creative basically said like well it's, it's a larger group and you know basically imply like they're moving forward already like it's already.
[00:09:13] They're not going to wait a long time they are if they've already kind of started it so I don't think we'll have a huge weight. Yeah, yeah that's good. I think that the creative process is a lot quicker than like okay here's season one of one division.
[00:09:28] Hey, let's wait for four years and we'll have like Agatha season of Coven of chaos which which or whatever it's called and let's have white vision to years later after that like it can be a lot quicker so I don't think well have that long.
[00:09:45] But I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm going to ask you this where if you were to just this is a little bit unfair but if you were to rank it top third middle third bottom third.
[00:09:56] What would you all let us see you projects? Yeah, well I mean yeah I mean yeah sure or not. So so I would say so let me do a sub ranking real quick and I'll ask you to return this sub ranking.
[00:10:11] So far we have three marvel three seasons of marvel animation projects. What if season one what if season two and Xman 97. For me Xman 97 is a clear number one there is it the same for you.
[00:10:31] I think so one and two of what if kind of blur together a bit.
[00:10:35] Yeah, I will say there are episodes of what if that I put pretty highly we're not going to like learn how to nerd out go like okay let's rank 28 episodes of TV in order and no we're going to do that but no that's for our future selves in twenty seven when we get to those ones.
[00:10:54] And we're done with all the main movies now I would put yeah I would put Xman 97 number one and then I had to go back watch what if I really enjoy them but I can't put them quite in the same category.
[00:11:05] Yeah, would you put this if you were to say this if you were to say Xman 97 let's just say it was a movie would it be in your middle third top third bottom third I think it'd be top third for me but I also know I have that reputation right I have that reputation of everything goes in the top third.
[00:11:23] But I do think that this is genuinely up there. If it fell into the middle third it's just because. It's just because I found you know 12 projects that were better than it but I can't. Sitting here tonight I can't think of 12 projects better than it.
[00:11:45] I think it's more of a comment that this is really well done. And it's not like some sort of like. You know mediocre kids animated TV show that's kind of hastily put together with bad you know.
[00:12:00] Computer generated animation like the stories are good the characters the voiceovers I thought really well done.
[00:12:08] Yeah, so I would probably I would probably agree it's on that borderline but I mean again it's a test of it's an animated show it you know the fact that it would hold the fact that it would rated as high as like Ant man is pretty impressive.
[00:12:22] Yeah, no it's spoiler alert for anybody who is a Marvel fan or a. Or a Star Wars fan the animated stuff is good go watch the anime I would argue. The. I'm trying to think of a good I would say in the last five years the three best.
[00:12:49] The three best Marvel branded products are animated products. So the spiderverse one spiderverse two and then X ben 97. Yeah, and I mean if you want to go back to the further I would say that Star Wars Clone Wars the TV show was like.
[00:13:08] Better than most I can't maybe not everything but like it was some of the best content since the first four anyway. Yeah, yeah absolutely yes so so yeah if you have been if you're somebody out there who's like.
[00:13:24] Oh, animated that's kids stuff my you know kids watch that yes kids watch it but also it's very good and so if you've been missing it go.
[00:13:34] Do yourself a favor go watch it get over your comp functions about it being animated I don't think many comic book fans are going to be that concerned about an animated thing and think it's kid stuff when we're all watching. We're all watching. Uh.
[00:13:50] Motox but in quantumania, but you know. Wow, okay yeah. Go watch the animated stuff. Right. So that's something that we do. I was just shifting to something you may not want to watch.
[00:14:05] I was going to say I thought that you had a really good review that you were going to recommend this to everybody. This was mandatory viewing is what you told me now. Okay let's get into it. Alright.
[00:14:18] So I was like you know what I am I'm a little bored it's midweek I'm like you know what I didn't see that I'm web I'm just going to pop this baby in you know the the reins of spider man you know the whole.
[00:14:38] I couldn't control this because I like is being managed to out by Sony Empire. You know let me go in and see what this baby was like. And in the show notes I wrote a very short review. Do you want to say it?
[00:14:54] Brian you want me to say it. David's review was I regret seeing this movie. I stand by it. I'm going to give just a very short just a very short review in summary. So Madam Web released Valentine's Day February 14th 2012. Oh how sweet.
[00:15:21] If if a significant other drag that you to this I or spouse or partner I am sorry. Production budget between 80 to 100 million opening weekend 15 million.
[00:15:39] Domestic gross 44 million worldwide gross 100 million dollars this is the first Marvel movie since fantastic for in 2015 that failed to open at number one at the box office and this is in sleepy ass February.
[00:16:00] So I'm not going to go in the cast and I can all the production details and I can get into that stuff just a few notes one Sony reportedly had plans for either end regards filter Tom Holland to peer Spider man but ultimately cut all references to Spider man from the final film.
[00:16:18] Probably bad call. Yeah yeah that's a mistake. I get the part that you don't want to burn like one of Tom Holland's mandatory film appearances to be in this crappy film but Andrew Garfield like me is just sitting around like he can show up anyway.
[00:16:37] This is Dakota Johnson's first Marvel film though she had admitted an interview so that she'd never seen a Marvel film except for quote a quarter of one of them. When it's a shitty shades of gene gray is not a Marvel film well done like we did there.
[00:16:54] When asked to name the past three Spider men films the three MCU films she was unable to name any of them correctly listing them as follows. Spider man here he comes Spider man and he's back and the goblet of Spider man. Hey she got comes right.
[00:17:19] She got the spider man part. Send my color man. Oh coming I guess. I like the I honestly I don't hate the goblet of Spider man I think I'm gonna find out.
[00:17:27] She hasn't even bothered to watch the movie she paired in jokingly describing the films plot as quote a.i. generated and then she dropped her talent agency the week after the much mocked trailer was released.
[00:17:47] Yeah Sidney Sweetie up a coming actress said of this film quote to me that film was a building block it's what allowed me to build a relationship with Sony without doing mademois ob I wouldn't have had a relationship with the decision makers over there everything my career I do not I do not just for that story but strategic business decisions because I did that.
[00:18:09] I was able to sell anyone but you I was able to get Barbara Ella so now basically it's the Marvel casting couch of just like appear in this crappy film. I'm gonna quickly summarize the plot. It's and by the way Ryan I say this to you friend friends.
[00:18:34] You said to me hey man I'm thinking of trying heroin or hey. I've had 17 Vachatonics I'm gonna drive I would take keys away I would take your needle away it's a hey man don't do that and this is your this is your hero.
[00:18:50] Do not watch this it's not it's not it's not it's not. Hey Eric I'm sorry for all the things David saying I know they hurt your feelings about the hate's hair when you select I did what I'm saying.
[00:19:03] No yeah it's well that no but it's like it's it's it's it is in a very simple way like in in I don't know 200 words start the movie it's like years ago it's like 73. Um I heard mother they're like peru or the Andes.
[00:19:24] They find these magical spiders mom gets shot by the person wants to seal the spider turn to a spider get the spider you know strength.
[00:19:32] They look people revive her the she dies but the baby she's pregnant with lives and then we fast forward and that's that's Cassandra Webb that's the co-gency character. She's a paramedic.
[00:19:47] Um she figures out she has pre cognition she has what's the word we can see into the future right had it before a lot of recognition yeah and that is her.
[00:20:03] That's the ability to kind of uncover itself you see the person is he killed who killed the bomb.
[00:20:11] You know he's kind of haunted and he has these dreams or these three women are going to come spider women and and based a kill him and so he wants to protect the against his women and his visions.
[00:20:23] And so he's chasing Cassie with trio and it feels very kind of like feels a little terminator like like little tiny bit like she.
[00:20:36] There are people in super costumes I'd say for about a minute of the movie the Cassandra Webb character never turns into a never turns into spider woman.
[00:20:49] She learns she like she has to figure out her abilities she fights back basically you know it's it's it's it's ends you know these these women have.
[00:21:04] Brace their potential strengths and it's as you know I guess I'm if you're to be positive about itself just go read a power. Um it is not I'm not going to go into full review but it was not super well received right tomatoes gave it 11%.
[00:21:20] I need to load up sad trombone on my my soundboard. Bob Bob Bob. The the work conference call I had six a.m. this morning had a rotten tomato score of at least 20%. Okay.
[00:21:40] So um the I could not write my own review most of the time I spend pain state and time writing reviews. I plug this baby into Google Gemini and here's the response to coder Johnson as Cassandra Webb sleepwalks through the film failing to him.
[00:21:55] I'm telling Timbue the protagonist with any charisma or spark the supporting cast isn't much better delivering performances that range from phone in to laughably awful the dialogue. Imagine a broken fortune cookie spewing cliches the film attempts to grab with the interesting concept of pre cognition.
[00:22:13] But drowns it in a confusing mess that borrows heavily from better movies think final destination with a dash of terminator. Well there you go the action sequences are dull and forgettable the CGI blurry mess reminiscent of early 2000 video games the only saving grace.
[00:22:28] The cost of a department deserves a pat on the back. Sadly even the most doubtful it's can't redeem this cinematic catastrophe. Madam Webb is a tangled mess of missed opportunities unless you buy in our glad for punishment. Steer clear this web and spend your time literally any one.
[00:22:50] I spent a fair period of time scrolling through the critic reviews. I can only find to the resum my favorable. Christine Lamire from Roger Ebert can talk home says quote. Madam Webb is not the unmitigated disaster that it's clunky trailer or its calendar spot in February would suggest.
[00:23:13] That's it that's it that's her that's her that's a glowing review not so bad. Yeah no it's not like a it's not you know it's a punch in the crash with the pat pads on a couple of months below.
[00:23:26] Alonza draldi the film of from the film critics says quote isn't going to reverse the ongoing decline of superhero cinema. But unlike some of its in old contemporaries it's strong enough to make its intended sequels feel like promises rather than threats. I'm a tell you right now Alonzo.
[00:23:43] I don't mean to break this to you but Steve you wonder will paint by numbers before they make a sequel to this. This like that's a little strong of it's.
[00:23:55] It's not great I don't recommend saying after saying it like I have so much more appreciation for any of the phase one to move. I'm like I'm a dark world looks like like fantastic part of this garbage.
[00:24:13] It's just it's it might actually work better you know to be safe on a first day first day. My work better as a. Streaming Disney plus or Netflix or whatever it's going to be on kind of format if you will.
[00:24:29] You just didn't get there were there were like so many like moments of pre cognition you're like okay cool she can see the future but it just didn't build anything and just the relationships were terrible just just a mass just a mass so don't recommend watching it.
[00:24:47] The only benefit I could say is like because I had no intention of doing like deep dive review I could just press play and put the world down had things out pretty quick. Michael.
[00:24:58] Yeah that's fair that's fair yeah it'll you know and we'll talk about this a little bit in the trailer park but Sony so man. Sony is squandering. What they have because they they have was reading today and doing some research for tonight show Sony has like.
[00:25:22] 900 Marvel characters in their stable or something like that because of the spider man agreement.
[00:25:30] And they're just I mean more be as and that I haven't seen venom to yet but I have not heard great things not as bad as madam web or more be as but kind of a it's not great kind of situation.
[00:25:49] And that of web clearly is not good craving does not is not looking great. No it's just they do great with the animated stuff they literally some of the best superhero media outright now is the animated spider version movies. If you had if you had licensed off.
[00:26:14] Like with spider man like you maybe throwing like the defenders little like spider man you've got like some. Like like you know iron fist parent like you dare double like if you put those characters there's enough we can have like.
[00:26:34] Like a small yeah street level universe yeah and that could work okay but the fact that you can't have spider man talk to.
[00:26:42] Rob about engineers 20 star like it's barely limiting yes and so when you're like hey guess what's coming out the spider hand movie you're like how man really. I'm just gonna keep making the crank them out but now I know I like marble approach.
[00:27:01] Sony's like hey this idea for your last spider movie is going to fail this was not. I'm not glad man was in great it was not great and I would definitely put this bottom the very bottom bottom one third the very lowest.
[00:27:19] Yeah that's fair that's fair well I I will I'm not gonna take your advice I'm gonna watch it at some point. But more out of morbid curiosity than.
[00:27:29] Okay well you've been word I would say this like if you go in with kind of low expectations if you if you. You know it's a couple there's an Easter again there where you think.
[00:27:44] Adam Scott plays a character by the name Ben Parker if you think it's Peter Parker's uncle. You know it's like okay this could have this could have landed but watch it with the eye of. Ways in which they could have improved upon it.
[00:27:58] Yeah and it might be a little more durable also maybe. Take some of that heroin or that 17. I don't know kids I don't do drugs I'm just kidding so.
[00:28:10] Well let's let's move over to to some things that we're actually excited for that that does you know maybe do look good so.
[00:28:20] David I know you had a couple of movie pieces of the MCU that you had some news on and then I have some TV stuff so I'll let you cover the movie stuff and then I'll jump into the TV stuff. Sure so real quick.
[00:28:35] I'm on the horizon and I believe it is Captain America Brave New World is 2025 if I have that correct. Yes it's February of 2025 because with any luck I'll be able to watch it on a cruise ship in March of 2025.
[00:28:50] So hello all right well we'll get to that point the. So today we're going to go to the boat a trailer for Brave New World aka Captain America for at Cinema Con and.
[00:29:07] And it was it sounds like the the you weren't allowed to like film anything but you could you could post reactions and it sounds like reactions where like very very
[00:29:19] very fairable like Aaron catch from a holiday reporter looks like they have nailed it quote five years building cap for the same vein is winter soldier and the and the footage looks like it's they nailed it. Yeah, you know, Fandango says what we saw looked dope.
[00:29:39] And so I looked for footage I found a lot of fake footage. I do not recommend people look for footage it'll eventually be out but I'm pretty optimistic about this. That's all that's all they had.
[00:29:56] I know we're both looking forward to it as soon as they drop a trailer or teaser if some sort will be over like a cheap suit.
[00:30:04] Yeah, I'm pretty excited for it. My my own personal guess is we're going to get maybe maybe the footage they showed at Cinema Con which supposedly. For what I saw as far as like a.
[00:30:19] I don't know, maybe you saw something different. What I saw as far as like what the story beats were it was Captain America saving president Ross or escorting him out of the White House in some or for something or other. And so that that's what I had seen.
[00:30:40] And so I'm pretty excited for that. I think we will see that footage or at or some sort of trailer at D23. I think it's D23 night two is the. Where's it night one it's night one night one is the the entertainment panel so that'll be August 9th.
[00:31:03] I would expect that that is when we're going to get a trailer that releases wide. Probably so I the only thing I ask is it like the Mark Ruffalo accidentally live streams the first 10 minutes of the film. That would be great.
[00:31:23] Do you will do a dual camera between Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland. So that's so kind of those two guys are mass. So I was talking anyway. The other news was there was an update. There is a project update around what is called the minute sons SOS.
[00:31:44] It looks like Steven Brousar will be produced in the project. He's produced some things in the past. The minute sons is going to be written by looks at his new microcreen. Filming will begin shortly after blade.
[00:32:01] And so it looks like it will the blade film what interconnect with the midnight sons. I don't know a lot about the minute sons as as a comic book. I don't know if you do. Yeah, so I'm I'm actually playing through the midnight sons video game right now.
[00:32:19] Which is actually a really really fun video game. It's the first Marvel game to allow you to customize a character which is really cool. Midnight sons is a team of magical heroes. So the ones represented in the video game. You have Wanda, you have Blade, you have Magic.
[00:32:43] Who is Ilyana, a review in a K.A. Colossus's sister. You have and also the Queen of Limbo. And then you have Nico Minoru, who is a member of the runaways. She's a magic using. She also has a staff that basically.
[00:33:09] One word you give it one word and it does whatever that one word thing is, but typically kind of goes a little bit of a ride. You might say open and point it at a door and maybe it does something weird with that right?
[00:33:24] It might like turn that door into a portal to another dimension or something like that. It does it well. Like the staff of one usually acts well, but sometimes there's weird consequences. So the video game is really really good. It's centered around a story where.
[00:33:43] Lillith mother of demons is coming back to earth and trying to take over. And the Midnight sons have to work with the. Oh, and I forgot the new Ghost Rider. Robby Ray is is also part of the Midnight sons. Okay.
[00:34:01] But they have to they have to defend her. They have to defend Lillith off from from the world, from destroying the world back sort of thing. So I think you know it's it's dark magic. That kind of vibe if you will right. So so think.
[00:34:24] Think like multiverse madness, but maybe even darker, not quite as whimsical. As multiverse madness got at times. And it makes sense that would happen right after blade because blade is a pretty integral member of that team. Yeah, you can see. Looking at the.
[00:34:46] Like the list of members, you've got like Johnny plays. You've got more BS. The different points of time Wolverine like he'd be interested in see what they do with it. Yeah, yeah, and I think it's a little it's a little less multiversal.
[00:35:05] Then most of the magic in the MCU has been to this point. A lot of the magic has been. Let's get into weird alternate universes and stuff. Whereas like midnight suns is a little bit more grounded if you will, I guess,
[00:35:20] is the best way to say it's like magic on her right? And you know, I could see that being a little bit more palatable for the general audience too. So yeah, I'm pretty stoked. I've started to see those rumors creep up about midnight suns.
[00:35:36] And after playing the video game, I'm kind of into them. I want to go back and read their comics a little bit because they seem really cool. Yeah, so more content. Let's do this. And then so those are our movies right?
[00:35:49] But we got literally the day after we recorded our last monthly vehicles. So if you were listening to our last monthly vehicle, you're like, why are these guys talking about their vacations when there's all this news about Marvel TV that just came out?
[00:36:03] So that all came out literally the day after we recorded the last one. So I want to cover it here. There was a there were several TV conferences held. I think HBO held one during this week and Disney held one and so did. So did Amazon Prime.
[00:36:27] So looking at the Disney upfront conference, what they announced is they did announce a new name for the Agatha show. It is now Agatha all along and they tease themselves a little bit about it in the little announcement video.
[00:36:42] They made it like the title flashed between Coven of Chaos and Yadiyada that it flashed up. I think what was was Agatha the Witch with the really cool wardrobe or something like that. And that it was like Agatha all along and they gave a release date.
[00:37:00] So two episodes will drop on September 18th. So pretty excited for that about three months out from from when you're hearing this, we should be getting some Agatha stuff right in the heart of spooky season too, which is awesome to see right?
[00:37:16] Right where when we're getting into Halloween mood and all that kind of stuff, we get some Agatha. Excited for that one. But when I know we are very, very excited for around here is Daredevil born again.
[00:37:31] They did announce a release month so they didn't really put it to a date yet, but it will be releasing in March 2025. So pretty excited for that one. I would also expect to get a trailer for that probably at D23 as well.
[00:37:53] That feels like one that they're going to try and prop up a little bit. And then they did also confirm that Ironheart will release in 2025 as well. They did not give a date. I'm assuming end of the year that's kind of the way they do these.
[00:38:10] They try not to really overlap them too much. Right. Ironheart for those who don't remember because Agatha, you guys probably all remember her and Daredevil doesn't need any explaining, but Ironheart is really Williams from Wakanda Forever.
[00:38:25] She was the student at MIT who built kind of an Ironman style suit. All three of these received in the room type teasers, but nothing has been posted online for them yet. So pretty exciting stuff there. I'm really excited for all three of those projects.
[00:38:49] And it does show a little bit of slowing from Marvel, I think, but not excessive slowing. I don't think so some of it like again, so some of it was impacted by the writer strike, the screen actor's guild strike.
[00:39:10] And so like Daredevil they were like filming at the time and writers actually went on strike and so therefore couldn't do anything. That was a fair to long period of time. So yeah. Good to see that they, if you remember the Daredevil one was kind of interesting.
[00:39:27] They were going to like film stuff for like a year. Yeah, that was supposed to be like a traditional US 22 episode kind of shindig. Which you could also see them breaking into say like two or two and a half seasons, right?
[00:39:44] Like the streaming isn't really set in stone in terms of like the length, the number of episodes, the least schedule. And so as starving if they've been for content, I mean you can see them kind of playing with the formula a little bit.
[00:40:01] I'm probably most excited for Daredevil born again because I really enjoyed the Netflix show. I thought that was really well done. Agatha all along, Agatha, covenant chaos, Agatha homecoming, Agatha far from home. Here comes Agatha.
[00:40:20] Agablets of Agatha like, you know, Lula so but you know whatever, like I kept it on it's great. She's funny. Yeah. Should be well done. And then iron hard is the one and I think I'm actually. Maybe intrigued as to where they're going to go with it right?
[00:40:41] Is it going to just be like, you know, a simple six episode series like Echo.
[00:40:47] Or they probably will background and they add some layers, layers to a character and then just kind of leave it clifping or you know will it kind of venture off or venture off and like you Avengers.
[00:40:58] Just like what what are they going to do with it? That's the part that's the one I think I'm kind of most intrigued is to how they're going to tie it together.
[00:41:05] Yeah, yeah it'll be it'll be really interesting and it'll be interesting to see you know does iron heart take up the Tony Stark spot in the comics she really hasn't. She's kind of been her own thing. Although she is you know. Metal suited tech superhero kind of thing.
[00:41:23] She doesn't she doesn't take up the Tony Stark kind of leader position that sort of stuff.
[00:41:30] So yeah, I'll be interested to see that I could see that I like the idea of that that one almost being like Echo where it's one of those kind of showcases or spotlight whatever it's. Yep, yep. Yeah and it kind of exists on its own.
[00:41:47] And I could see her you know I could also see it playing into the young Avengers right we saw a young Avengers teaser at the end of the of the marvels. I could see iron heart being part of the young Avengers pretty quickly.
[00:42:01] Which would be kind of cool. Yeah, you you could see them like you know kind of quote unquote getting the gang together. Yeah, and now right now they are going to approach iron heart join for the new Avengers right.
[00:42:16] Yep, just like those phase one after credit scenes where all through phase one it was you know Tony going to recruit Bruce. Tony exactly. Um, also I should mention nothing has been said about spider man freshman year.
[00:42:36] The animated spider man that's supposed to be coming to Disney plus or. The Wakanda animated series, but those those seem to still be on the table from everything I've seen nothing nothing positive or negative there. I yeah, they're still on the table.
[00:42:54] For next year I don't know this year this year. I think they're this year, but I would not be. But we're sitting here in June and we've heard nothing about it. I'm not going to be surprised when they say next year, right.
[00:43:07] But flip side like animated series member X men. Oh yeah, it's kind of like. It's literally it's here on the back. Like boom, here you go, X men nerds go, you know, go enjoy your mutants. I'm sorry enhanced. Sorry.
[00:43:21] Well, here's here's one for you David. This this this one is just for you for those who don't listen to our Patreon episodes. David is a massive fan of the star of this next project. So we were talking about how.
[00:43:39] Sony has really fumbled the the spider man live action side, right? And I think this is what's going to this is what's going to rescue it all. So announced and this was a surprise to me that this got announced.
[00:43:54] I never saw this coming. This was not on my bingo card. Coming to mgm first released on their linear channel, so their cable channel will first be released there. And then it'll be followed up by streaming on Amazon Prime.
[00:44:10] We will get spider man new are in a show called new are. Reprising his role as spider man new are we have the one the only Nick Cage. So Nick Cage voiced spider man new are into the spider verse.
[00:44:36] He's coming back to do it live action for those who don't know spider man new are is like 1930s. Private detective type spider man situation. It's so we're getting that.
[00:44:51] This is the second prime Sony marvel show that's been announced silk has been announced, but I haven't seen anything new on it for a couple years.
[00:45:01] Who knows what the actual standing of that is reminder if you didn't listen to our main show silk is the second person Cindy moon who was bit by the same spider as Peter Parker. But back to new are.
[00:45:17] Lord and Miller are signed on to produce they did the legal movies, the jump street movies. They do the spider verse movies Amy Pascal is producing.
[00:45:30] And then the show runners for this are going to be or in usiel from a mostly known for from what I could find biggest credit was moral the most recent mortal combat movie. And then Steve light foot who actually show ran Punisher and also Narcos on Netflix so.
[00:45:56] So I'm pretty decent names of course Nick Cage starring it's going to be great right. You know they say that Chris and Sony comes once a year, but this year we're next year it's going to come early.
[00:46:12] I did not see this note I'm looking at it now I guess.
[00:46:19] To your point spider and war is a superhero that appears in the comic books and it's a noir theme take on the character that emerges in a version of him in the art during the great depression.
[00:46:35] Looking at the announcement for an incanders who is the head of television for Amazon MGM studios says quote expanding the marble universe with the war. As uniquely special opportunity we are honored to bring the series to our global prime customers.
[00:46:52] The extremely talented Nick was Cage his quote not mine is an ideal choice for our new superhero and the competition compus producing team with fill lord Christopher Miller.
[00:47:03] Amy Pascal who we've talked about in the show before and the credible team of Sony is dedicated to expanding the franchise in the most authentic way.
[00:47:13] So I think this will be fun. I think this fits Nick Cage well he can be a little bit silly or like he can be serious but in that silly way where you know it is it's greedy it's fun, but I do have. I hope it's good.
[00:47:33] Mar uh like things released on Amazon prime are a little hit in miss you have some some very very good they you know the boys and fall out they've released some really good stuff on Amazon prime. There's also been some not so great stuff.
[00:47:53] Okay well this will be great let's get you negative taste out of your mouth. This is now the second Sony marble project to be greenlit at Amazon. It's pretty now that Amazon is moving forward with the series silk spider society.
[00:48:09] So yeah so you know maybe maybe they find their footing in TV where they're struggling in live action movies maybe they find their footing in TV. I'm just going to put this in my top there right now. I don't need to watch it let's go.
[00:48:25] So that is the news of kind of the stuff that's upcoming pretty excited. I'm sure that we will have more of that later this summer as as the new cycle starts pick up all that kind of stuff so one quick note about casting that I have here is.
[00:48:45] I am I am devastated along with all my other fellow swifties. Uh entertainment weekly got an apparently exclusive report that Taylor Swift will not appear in Deadpool and Wolverine. So Womp Womp but I'm holding out hope who knows they I don't know who their source was.
[00:49:12] And although Ryan Reynolds has said outright lying is off the table that's not something they're going to do to throw people off the scent of things going on in this movie.
[00:49:23] I think there's a lot there's a lot of like there's there's a lot of sub-triff huge to be had with this movie so I'm still holding out hope but yeah there is quote unquote official reporting saying that we will not get
[00:49:42] Taylor Swift is dazzler in Deadpool and Wolverine. Yeah, but you can see it was a credit scene or something like no, yeah I did this all with a huge grand assault huge grand.
[00:49:54] Yeah, yeah and actually I don't know if you caught this on one of the trailers I think it was the trailer released right before the last monthly bugle we recorded there was like a QR code in the background and if you scanned that it actually took you to this little disclaimer that Ryan Reynolds has.
[00:50:11] Ryan Reynolds had and he recorded it and it's basically like hey look this is going to be a really fun movie.
[00:50:18] And part of it was kind of like it's not really part of the MCU it is what it isn't and then I think part of it he said that they completely side step to the tradition of having a after credit scene much to Marvel's shagrin so I'm really curious to see what that means.
[00:50:38] I do not believe that at all there's there is no way they don't have some sort of mid credits post credit scene. Oh, that's that's what I mean I I feel like the wording side stepped. Okay, is specific in saying like they they're doing something goofy with it.
[00:50:56] Yeah, maybe it's like the captain America one we got but I have seen of the people that are I think are are
[00:51:06] are announced either announced appear like have confirmed you had Jennifer Garner she's come back as the lecturer you have Kelly who's coming back as death strike next on stage warhead Ray Park is towed that would be fun.
[00:51:21] And a Patrick Stewart has been rumored to come back as professor X if he comes back I mean it can be anyone yeah so yeah there they're yeah it and and you know the rumor mill stays big because Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift or friends like at the end of the day that's also a piece of it here so.
[00:51:48] Moving on to some more deadpool stuff though so marble did release the comic guide for deadpool and Wolverine so.
[00:51:56] If for those of you who don't know usually marvel releases ahead of a movie they put out on their website hey read these comments right read these comics first if you want to understand the movie.
[00:52:07] I'll post the link in the show notes to this comic guide but I did go ahead I parse through it because sometimes there's a little bit of like oh what are they having us read that for going on.
[00:52:19] So I went ahead and parse through it the first two that they suggest our deadpool number one from April of 2024 deadpool and Wolverine World War three number one from May of 2024.
[00:52:31] I think those are just hey here's the newest comics about these guys go read up right that that's that's just like hey check it out that that's the newest stuff.
[00:52:41] But getting into some things that maybe have a little bit of hints towards the story of the movie right we have deadpool kills the marvel universe now I have talked about this on this show before.
[00:52:58] I love this series it is a very dark series parents do not let your kids read this one it is very bloody very gory it is it like all the fun quirks of deadpool that you love are turned into very dark situations he's still funny.
[00:53:21] There is some some humor to it but it is very dark very bloody it's got like a parental warning on the cover.
[00:53:29] Basically this is what if deadpool decided he wanted to kill literally the entire marvel universe and he does he throughout the comics I don't want to spoil the last few frames because there's some of my favorite in comic history and I think they're super fun to experience on your own.
[00:53:48] But it's a very very dark deadpool goes and actively kills the whole universe including kind of meta sort of things jumps out the fourth wall and does some things like that. So I have been curious or been speculating that this may inspire some parts of deadpool and Wolverine.
[00:54:15] I could see him killing the fox universe right kill it like that's how they end the fox version of X man is deadpool kills it.
[00:54:28] I could also see this maybe being a villain version of deadpool that our version of deadpool has to contend with in the movie right he hears about this deadpool who's out there trying to kill the whole universe and goes deals with them.
[00:54:42] So I do think that this is maybe a little bit of a teaser hint towards some story pieces. Next few don't really next couple don't give us too much about story stuff so there's collect there's a collected a couple collected works.
[00:54:59] One is deadpool versus Wolverine it's a trade paper back the other one is a trade paper back called deadpool the saga of Wade Wilson deadpool versus Wolverine is basically just a loosely themed collection of stories that feature both deadpool and Wolverine together and deadpool the saga of Wade Wilson are it's a collected.
[00:55:19] Is a collection of works focused on the on deadpool's dealings with the weapon X program.
[00:55:25] I don't think this will play into the comment or into the movie too much I think this is more hint towards the first deadpool movie more of just like hey this is you know this is kind of deadpool dealing with weapon X but maybe I don't know maybe this is a.
[00:55:41] Be your steep lot where deadpool's trying to kill everybody ever linked to to weapon X and maybe that's what this is hinting towards.
[00:55:52] Now the next one and I'm going to ask you some questions on this next one David so get ready but the next one is deadpool first deadpool core from twenty twenty ten.
[00:56:05] This is the creation of the deadpool core which is lady pool kid deadpool dog pool head pool and deadpool basically a multi versatile team of deadpools.
[00:56:18] We are nearly certain after the latest trailer that came out which will cover in the trailer park that lady deadpool is going to show up we've seen dog pool. So that leaves us with two that we don't necessarily know about we have.
[00:56:33] Kid deadpool which is basically a younger version of deadpool do we think we get a kid deadpool in this movie. Good question I think.
[00:56:48] I think we'll see both of them I think filled just go ridiculous and it might be in a mid credit scene kind of like you see it. Like we saw in the Loki series we saw the Loki virgins. I think almost started.
[00:57:05] Yeah I think it be really fun if they do a kid deadpool and they bring in Walker scobl who played a child version of Ryan Reynolds in the Adam project. I think it's actually like a YouTube video of him reciting deadpools monologue from deadpool 2.
[00:57:27] So I think he'd be really fun it would be a little bit weird for Disney because a little bit of a risk because Walker scobl is right now. Playing Percy Jackson over on the Disney plus series Percy Jackson in the Olympians so.
[00:57:46] Tainting his image a little bit with including him in a deadpool project may not be something Disney super on board with. But I think that would be you know it'd be fun. I thought like you put Jonathan Majors is a king right.
[00:58:02] Like it's not that big it's like we've certainly seen people play multiple Marvel characters.
[00:58:10] Yeah and to be clear, Percy Jackson's not a Marvel character it's more it's more of like associating a like associating an actor with this quote unquote dirty franchise that's in one of your family friendly franchise.
[00:58:25] So on the lady deadpool part just to real quick while we are hypothesizing and guessing. Yeah, the term I should use as to who might appear like you saw the video clip that will trailer it's clearly lady deadpool right.
[00:58:47] I mean unless Ryan Reynolds is legs got very shapeally and he started wearing high heels. Yeah, it's lady deadpool. My money's on Blake lively. Same yeah. Yeah, I know some people think maybe that's where Taylor Swift fits in.
[00:59:07] Those are kind of the two principle ones I've seen is Blake lively or Taylor Swift but I think it's I think it's Blake.
[00:59:15] Well, it'd be funny not little nodal inside choke right and I think you would save Taylor Swift for a more significant recurring character like a dazzler like yeah. Yeah, she'd be a perfect dazzler now I do want to say before we get off of deadpool core.
[00:59:37] I am going to sign on to the theory that we're going to get headpool which is literally a disembodied head of deadpool that floats around and does deadpool things. My theory is it's going to be the head of Xman origins deadpool.
[00:59:59] That has the same sideclops blasts and he gets his head cut off in that movie. I think that they'll bring that in as kind of a check it out fans. All right, I like that. That's fine.
[01:00:13] The next few here the next few suggested readings from Marvel I think don't really give me a whole lot of insight into.
[01:00:25] Happenings in the movie more so they seem to be pointing towards hey here's a current thing from deadpool to read or here's here's some cool old deadpool stuff.
[01:00:38] You've got Marvel verse deadpool and Wolverine by Paul Tobin you've got Deadpool volume one by a deadpool by Alyssa Wong volume one deadpool by Kelly Thompson both of those are kind of the last couple years worth of deadpool comics deadpool epic collection of circle chase by various writers.
[01:01:02] And then I you know this also does feed into the the Taylor Swift idea you've got bad blood and bad herb blood by Rob lifefield Chris Sims and Chad Bowers that only is dead or that is only a Taylor Swift reference because of the name of song it is a it is a kind of it's just another cool deadpool our clearly is what I pull else down to.
[01:01:30] And then the one that I found most interesting out of this whole reading list right. This is all deadpool right it's all deadpool maybe a little bit of deadpool versus Wolverines sprinkled in there things things were there together.
[01:01:43] The one that I found the most interesting is the very last thing they include is the. Trade paper back of old man Logan from 2008 by Mark Miller. Um, which for those who don't know is not the story of Logan.
[01:02:04] A lot of people kind of can plate those to because early on in the development of the movie Logan they were going to use. The old man Logan storyline they didn't end up using it.
[01:02:16] The TLD R version of it is in a dystopian future a blind blind Clint Barton Hawkeye and us a virally aged Logan road trip to deliver a secret package to the capital city of dystopian US basically without spoiling too much.
[01:02:38] The villains have divied up the world and kind of controlled different regions. There's of course a ton of different side quests and fights and that sort of stuff on their way across on their way across the country to deliver this secret package.
[01:02:54] I don't want to spoil what the secret package is because if anybody hasn't read old man Logan that's kind of a cool reveal. Let's go go read old man Logan.
[01:03:05] But you know in this in this world like this is where they borrowed the whole Wolverine doesn't want to use his claws thing from Logan. This is from that's from the old man Logan comics.
[01:03:21] And so the giant man corpse that we keep getting in the trailers is pulled from that from that comic but I don't think that's going to be the last thing they pull from.
[01:03:35] I think maybe the Logan that we get is going to be old man Logan and dead pull has to convince him to get back into action. It is interesting because Logan refuses to go by Wolverine he says Wolverine died during an attack on the expansion.
[01:03:53] So that moniker is dead at the time of old man Logan so you know dead pull and Wolverine is kind of interesting if we're going to do some old man Logan stuff so.
[01:04:05] So yeah I do think that it'll that storyline might play a little bit into the comics or into the movie but. Interesting that it's it's included there I would say and we are how far away from the movie like. As of reporting we're like a month yeah.
[01:04:25] Maybe we'll talk to you chase yet which you're going to. I I bought my tickets I have the Grammy babysitting service secured so Ted unfortunately will not get to watch dead pull versus Wolverine on its opening night. Hope not.
[01:04:44] But yeah Lisa and I will be going opening night I don't know if we'll buy the popcorn bucket oh we forgot to do news about that there is a Wolverine popcorn bucket and the announcement video for it is.
[01:04:58] Gold but very much in the line of the doon popcorn bucket. But yeah I do have my movie tickets to my my local restaurant slash movie theater place and yeah it'll be a good time did you get have you been watching it.
[01:05:22] I'm probably going to go twice the first weekend I kind of want to go the first time spot myself but one spoiler for my family but and then over the weekend.
[01:05:35] To go to like you know favorite kind of comfy lounge recliner lounge or water food beverages in the movie theater kind of situation which I'm show you know.
[01:05:46] I don't have it on I want to say like seven o'clock my time but yeah pretty pretty excited for this one I think it's it's going to be a good one and I am I'm ready for it I am.
[01:06:02] I was I think I was the first person if I pick it's in that showing if I remember right because I go to a theater where you reserve your seats and so I remember I every seat was open when we signed up so I'm like dead center in the like in the center of the top perfect seats right in the middle so.
[01:06:23] Nice yes so speaking of Wolverine and getting excited for it we did get a teaser trailer this week David did you want to talk about this one at all or describe it at all I know we talked a little bit about the lady deadpool anything else about that when you wanted to talk about well we're in the trailer park here yeah it seemed.
[01:06:42] It so it's I think it's very short they reuse a bunch of scenes we've seen before. It we see a scene of Logan and Deadpool in a diner and the eating eating is like do you put your what's the calm I can't really exactly.
[01:07:03] Yeah Logan goes like can you put your mask on and Deadpool goes it's really hard to really close. Yeah well I have my mask on and Logan goes it's really hard to eat well it's off.
[01:07:16] Yeah and it's very it just reinforces can be fairly fairly profane so yes we I this is the one where we saw the what appeared to clearly be like lady deadpool legs although I don't know the Ryan Reynolds or.
[01:07:34] Wolverine are doing a lot of like day for what I've seen but I'll put that aside and then we see a lot of rock maclony we know that Rob Mclin he's going to be in it so. What is we do we're lady dead.
[01:07:47] That would be you know what I'm going to we can that if that happens you heard it here first I have not heard that theory literally anywhere else on the internet and it's actually a decent one I'm not going to lie.
[01:08:04] I love sweet day that'd be great we see a little dog pool the picture of top pool running and he looks to have like little mittens on its feet but I'm trying I have for all of them I think I've watched the.
[01:08:23] I've been a couple trailers and a teaser I you know I have watched them but I'm not like. Watching them like the supporter film yeah doing like the deep like we're not doing like the I don't want to know frame by frame seen by seeing like.
[01:08:39] That's when it go enjoy it. Yeah I agree I agree I haven't been I've been trying to avoid like new rock stars footage about it you know they do these breakdowns and that sort of stuff.
[01:08:51] By the way they're really great like I that's not to disparage them if you are interested in that kind of stuff go check out new rocks are. I don't care call them are great but yeah I.
[01:09:03] I've been trying to avoid that I do like the line about also Paul Rudd does age. That that one when when they're standing in front of the giant man corpse which would hint to us that it is. I'm not surprisingly. Hey or not Hank Pym but.
[01:09:24] Paul Rudd's character why can't I think of Paul Rudd's character that's a man. Sorry not Hank Pym. Scott Lang Scott Lang oh my goodness we're fake pants guys I'm sorry. To keep this long to figure it out.
[01:09:43] But yeah I so yeah definitely really excited for that one a couple other trailers that dropped this week that I want to just. Or this last month that want to try and quickly bust through here we don't have to get to and depth about them but.
[01:10:00] There is a new immersive story coming to Apple Vision Pro which for those of you who don't know the Apple Vision Pro is apples.
[01:10:12] Virtual reality headset that also does some like augmented reality pieces where it takes in images of the area around you so marvel is releasing what if and immersive story.
[01:10:24] It's kind of a pick your own adventure type of game right so it's not really video game and video game sense but looks like you are being trained by Wong in the mystic arts at the behest of the watcher. It's going to involve.
[01:10:43] Jumping around through the what if timelines and stopping multiverse all threats finding infinity stones.
[01:10:51] Miss minutes is actually in it at one point and there is a fun little extra scene that we haven't seen in any of the trailers yet of Deadpool kind of in the TVA breaking the fourth wall kind of flirting with.
[01:11:05] The camera that seems to be from the upcoming movie he's like oh yeah look at me I look so good don't I.
[01:11:13] It looks very funny but the the product is a whole the what if an immersive story we are accepting donations now to buy me a Apple Vision Pro so that I can go get the game until you all about it. Or it's by right off in your taxes.
[01:11:31] There we go it's a right off David who writes it off. I'm sorry you do have a quick joke.
[01:11:43] Last one and this this trailer I know David you paid so much attention to because this one is probably going to decide whether or not you get to pick what movie we watch next year. Go ahead Venom the last dance. Pretty fun trailer.
[01:12:07] The surface if you didn't know anything else that was going on you might think hey this is fun look there's some people from Ted Lazo doing Venom things and there's just it's it's fun it looks like a fun little silly movie.
[01:12:24] If you dig any deeper than that you start to get worried if I'm being honest. I I noticed pretty much right off the bat to fairly large continuity areas and this seems to be the story of Sony's live action live action spider man stuff.
[01:12:48] Should teal edge of four who we know as barren morto seems to not be playing barren morto which skewsable it's a different universe right something else.
[01:13:05] The problem is this character seems to travel to the bar that is in the universe that is the main line MCU to capture the little bit of Venom that Eddie Brock left behind at the end of spider man no way home.
[01:13:27] So that does seem to present a potential continuity air which feels like a pretty big one if I'm being honest. I don't know like chew it all edge of four has been sitting around as barren morto for. Oh yeah six years like.
[01:13:44] Yeah Marvel has gave given that guy up on waivers six years. Oh, type of oldly yeah, holy like I've kind of started to have a baseball reference of the last it but I'm not just on waivers you could pick about like.
[01:14:00] You got picked up by the tigers like you can't hate on it. Yeah right. The other continuity air that I noticed is Reese ifens is in this movie.
[01:14:11] In the trailer blanket you miss a kind of moment but there is no indication that he's doctor conners in this movie which is strange because he's doctor conners the lizard in an actual Sony project.
[01:14:25] That is meant to be the basis for this universe like the universe that that Venom and everybody else in habits is meant to be the amazing spider man universe that we're used to from the Andrew Garfield movies. Right.
[01:14:44] And so if they reused Recyphans that's a little a little bit weird. Reese is just trying to get a paycheck. Yeah, let's really quickly I just want to take one minute to go back to our wager.
[01:15:05] Our wager was we were guessing which movies would make more for the air in gross world like gross box after seats. You took dead beholden Wolverine as the obvious choice and I got the top two of either madam web. Well, Venom or Craven the Hunter.
[01:15:29] At this point I kind of feel like the person that was invited to play the lottery who didn't know how it worked like. And I feel personally taken into account but do you think dead poem Wolverine will pull more than all through movies combined.
[01:15:47] That's what I was just going to say I think at this point because because here here was the central conceit of that too was there was a chance that.
[01:15:57] Spider first three three three come out and if spider verse three had come out this year I think you would stand a fighting chance with spider verse three plus one of these other movies.
[01:16:11] I think that stands a good I think spider verse three and enough itself could be deadpool yeah I'm being honest but. Yeah, so I do think as we have were halfway through the year we're here in in June.
[01:16:27] I am willing to give you all three movies because at this point if you get three movies I'd be surprised I don't even know what's going on with Craven these days I guess we did get a trailer reason.
[01:16:40] No, yeah I don't know what's going on with Craven these days so. Yeah, I still think you could take Madame Webb and Venom and Craven and you can multiply the by two and still.
[01:16:52] Figure out what fast what crappy fast and furious film we're going to review go over there. So yeah, I will give you all three so let this be record David gets all three added together.
[01:17:07] And so it's even just more embarrassing you know I should anyway it is what it is. You know just a piece of the kids don't ever wager it never turns out well if you have problems gambling please call. Exactly. Find out. Yeah, it's like four hour ears.
[01:17:29] Five five six hour ears. Sorry. Yeah, there you go. Ask for Jane. So real quick for wrap up it's the month of June. We in the last episode a lot of stuff comes out in May we've had a lot of anniversary may. In terms of the MCU.
[01:17:49] In terms of June it's a little lighter in June 13 which is tomorrow at the time of recording. Two minutes. Yeah, 2008 the incredible Hulk came out and 15 years later on June 16th the distribution rights to the Hulk.
[01:18:09] We've heard it tomorrow because didn't want to make him more Hulk movies so. Man I just don't understand why I mean I guess I do. I just wish Hulk movies were easier to make man like good character it just. It's a struggle to make it.
[01:18:28] The Mark Ruffalo characters tend very well like I think that CJ has gotten really good the voice has gotten good.
[01:18:35] The character, the ability like it's way better you watch Thor Ragnarock you're like wow this Thor is great but it's not and they add humor and you know minimal smarter.
[01:18:48] Yeah, it's still not its own kind of standalone character it still has to be a buddy team up with someone right so I kind of get it I kind of got it speaking of fast and furious we do have that end to.
[01:19:07] She Hulk that was very fast and I'm curious inspired that is still a hanging it's a hanging Chad we're still waiting to let Scar pay off. Yeah, we'll put it we'll put Scar and Mordo and the scorpion. To be fair to be fair.
[01:19:29] She Hulk goes what two years ago at this point that not quite the distance we're dealing with it's fair comment. You know at some point Shane Sean cheese going to join that pile on for now just kidding. We have strong tea.
[01:19:46] Sean Chee too is going to come out we we started hearing rumors it's going to is going to be a thing let's have me. Free Trevor Slattery that's all I have to say anyway.
[01:19:58] Anyway, alright David well let's let's close it out here for this month and our version of the monthly bugle.
[01:20:06] Make sure you check us out on socials I've been trying to post there a little bit more so if we reference something visual in any of our podcast I'm trying to get that out to our socials so if we're talking about a comic book frame or.
[01:20:21] shirts that that maybe Peter stole from.
[01:20:27] Pepper pots or something like that I I try and get the hell out on our socials so check that out if you want the visual references that we're talking about also check out the other shows on our network here so we are part of the years up podcast network.
[01:20:44] Our the kind of flagship show ears up is doing their thing they're doing they I. So there's most recent episodes still the stand freeze episode I think it was I will be appearing over there sometime at some point I'm texting with.
[01:21:04] Jason from that show I'm going to be talking about how to plan kind of a cruise vacation but also you can apply kind of the principles I'm talking about to a lot of things that aren't just cruises I like to do kind of two in one vacation so if that's something you're curious about check that out.
[01:21:21] The spring resort just released their latest episode which kind of was them talking about where their podcast is and where it goes forward. So they're getting back to some of their verses episodes with rides versus rides lands versus lands Disneyland versus Disney world.
[01:21:41] Let's see what else do we have scraping the vault just got to kind of their ultimate episode if you will they're not ending the podcast but the episode that the whole thing was based on Cinderella three at twist in time they just released that episode it's a great episode go check that one out.
[01:22:00] The fan the boys, the milk is they're going in to season with the acolyte which releases every Tuesday very good show by the way except for I will say their beard game there's definitely a fake beard in that movie or in that show.
[01:22:21] For more about fake beard go listen to our Patreon episodes.
[01:22:26] Yeah so check out our Patreon I just kind of plugged it there but we are almost caught up so you are hearing basically one movie behind and I think by next month we will be caught up to where every month we will release a spoiler filled kind of look forward where everything from each Marvel movie goes forward instead of backwards which we do in the main show.
[01:22:53] And then last but not least the last thing I have to say is join us on our next main show which will be Thor Ragnarok. That's why lightning sound effects. Yeah yeah with that said.
