[00:00:51] Alright y'all. Well, this is our monthly bugle so this is our news show for the month we wanted to jump on here If I get my stuff together, we'll actually release this right after we record it because there's some hot news off the presses this month

[00:01:07] But before we get to that hot news I do want to mention We are a puny pod if you are listening to us for the first time we are a Marble fandom podcast our main show what we release The first Tuesday of every month is

[00:01:27] Listening areas we rewatch a Marvel movie in release order We just finished our phase review for phase two and we are about to release civil war. We're about to get into some really exciting stuff

[00:01:39] So if you're first time listener go check out our main show too. It's a it's a good time But here in this show the first segment that we always like to have is any sort of current content from Basically last time we reported on the news until today

[00:01:58] I will say I did not go see Madame web so I don't have current content review on Madame web right now I looked it getting tickets today before this recording and I was okay cool. There's looks like who's spotting me Me click on the Rot tomato Oh Oh

[00:02:26] Yeah, I checked it today I think the critics had it at 16% the audience has it at 60% but that's also day one audiences right? Those are people who are like wanting to go see it day one So that tends to fall a little bit over time

[00:02:48] Let me ask let me ask you this right will you see it at the movie theater? I'm my you know it is challenging with having a young son as I do

[00:03:01] Movie theater movie theater trips are not easy and we've got doom coming up that we might have to cash in on some Some baby sitting hours here soon so

[00:03:13] I don't know that we'll make it to Madame web in the theaters unfortunately. Are you gonna are you gonna try and make it? Dude, I'm I am I

[00:03:23] I'm so star for like empty movies where you're just like oh Craven sounds great. So I'm yeah, like oh there's a sandman movie Sounds awesome. Why not right like So I might actually do like a Matt Nade dip in

[00:03:46] You know, get to the horror and we fun. Yeah, it's a day at the movies. That's all but As far as main line marble content we did actually have some some new content release and we recorded after this release

[00:04:05] But we hadn't had a chance to watch it all the way through so the marble TV show echo Was released January 10th of this year of 2024 And a couple of just quick notes before I kind of give a quick rundown of the the episodes here

[00:04:27] This was released as a Marvel spotlight project which does mean that Theoretically you can watch it without any knowledge of the MCU before And without any knowledge of the MCU going forward Which is interesting in the ways that it played out because

[00:04:49] Man, I don't know watching they did a they did a decent job of kind of doing some flashbacks But I think watching this without any knowledge would have been tough Yeah, yeah, you'd have to

[00:05:05] Even if you've approached it from the perspective of like I've never seen anything Marvel And you're like hey who's the guy with the horns and the red suit and who's the fat guy in the white suit and

[00:05:18] I think it does a pretty good job of at least saying hey you don't have to be Well-versed or expert in all the stuff that before

[00:05:30] But it kind of helps a little bit just to make a little bit of sense for who the character is because there are flashback scenes Which do help but if you had not seen them before you're like wait, what's what is happening here right right

[00:05:48] I honestly think they could they should and could retroactively slap that spotlight title on Moon Knight if I'm being honest Like I think that actually is the project in the MCU so far that you could watch it a vacuum and Not not suffer at all for that

[00:06:10] Um, he had a group that it's entirely standalone for sure. Yeah. Yeah So yeah, I'm going to go episode by episode We're going to try and blitz through this pretty quickly, but just to give you an idea of what each episode is

[00:06:27] You know and we'll kind of give our own commentary as we go throughout here. So the first episode is called Chafa Young my Lopez, flees to her Oklahoma home after her father's death death and finds herself entangled in the

[00:06:44] Sinister Wilson entangled with the sinister Wilson Fisk in New York City She undergoes intense training becomes a skilled assassin while struggling with deafness and emotional scars You have so culvenates with Maya discovering Fisk's role in her father's demise and setting out for revenge

[00:07:05] So in this episode, we did get an appearance by that red guy in the leather suit with the horns aka Daredevil We also saw Hawkeye through mostly archival footage I think maybe there was something I think maybe there was like one conversation that wasn't archival footage

[00:07:23] But it was mostly you know him dressed up as the Ronin and killing the tracksuit Yeah, so haven't you having watched The Daredevil I'm sure and Hawkeye, how did you feel about the blending of the two did the same sort of like

[00:07:46] Seamless did it seem kind of still to like how did it appear to you? Yeah, I thought it was It felt It's so it's too well Well, it's not a little bit about timelines and stuff and how it's not actually two different universes here later in the show

[00:08:08] But you know it was two very different aesthetics between those two shows But I think Creating this this Street level universe Went pretty well when as well as you could I do think that the Hawkeye archival footage

[00:08:28] I think just production value and stuff on it was a little bit jarring from echo Like echoes production value versus like the Hawkeye archival footage production value Felt a little disjointed to me You could tell

[00:08:46] You could like to your point like they seem a little bit off the Hawkeye scene Stuff seems a little more polished the daredevil's little more gritty I I enjoyed the I thought they did a pretty good job in a short period of time of kind of explaining

[00:09:05] To a certain extent where this character is in the MCU at this point in time so Yeah, I agree So the second episode low walk So returning to Oklahoma my SX her estranged family's help to take down fists forces

[00:09:23] Threatening their community she grapples with the cultural clashes and conflicting emotions as she tries to reconnect with her roots Flashbacks reveal connection to her Native American heritage that hints at untapped abilities

[00:09:39] So that was kind of cool there was a lot with the creation myth from the chalk top people which I really enjoyed Throughout the first and second episode that was really heavily used Yeah, totally great. Yep. Yep for sure The third episode is too close

[00:10:04] As Fisk's army descends upon to Homa I experience is the brutal consequences of her action innocent lives are lost in the conflict forcing Maya to confront The true cost of vengeance Her trauma manifests in unsettling visions blurring the lines between reality and memory

[00:10:26] Then we move on to episode four which is Toloa Haunted by her guilt and burdened by responsibility Maya reaches a crucial turning point She must choose between embracing her heritage and for go or forging a new path

[00:10:44] Or succumbing to the darkness of violence the episode ends on a bold decision for foreshadowing a significant shift in Maya's journey And then episode five which I actually really liked episode five This was one of one of my It was probably my favorite of the whole series here

[00:11:09] This concluding episode explores the aftermath of Maya's choices and the impact they have on herself in the community She faces emotional repercussions of her actions and takes steps towards healing and forgiveness

[00:11:23] The episode offers hints about Maya's future as she embraces her identity as echo and sets out on a new adventure This last episode also took place during the powwow in the local community which was a really cool setting I thought

[00:11:39] I will also say for anybody who is fans of reservation dogs This the show reservation dogs You are going to see a ton of familiar faces in this movie Irrain this show you got Maya's dad is played by I call him

[00:12:02] Words I can't say here because it's his favorite It means as shit ass is what he calls everybody in reservation dogs Language Right We and You've also got the actress who voiced Kohari in what if she appears as Maya's sister in echo Bonnie, devil jacubs

[00:12:31] Yep, devil jacubs think So yeah David what was kind of your your overall thoughts on this series and I'm guessing this is going to be a limited series I think so but I kind of hope not right so when we we've talked about this for

[00:12:53] Over half a year Like this is coming out in the fall it's coming out Thanksgiving It's coming out all at once There are director strikes or writers strikes there's all the I think that's a writer and actress strikes Sorry

[00:13:10] And I think people were taking a preemptive thumbs down on the series based upon the fact that they were trying to release it all at once And it was you know initial reviews were bad I actually really enjoyed the series I enjoyed it way more than I thought

[00:13:29] I think that The cast the here the things I liked about it It seemed to be very Intune and very like Ingrained in the Chuck Chuck culture if you will Yeah all the actors seem to be very

[00:13:52] Intuasyastic and in the seem to be very earnest in their roles And some of those watch some of them seems to be useful and you need to see somebody you're like

[00:14:02] All right, quit a pause. You're a cash in a chat and you're showing up in your shorts whatever like But I really really enjoyed the actors I will mess up the names but like I A lot of the cocks. Yeah, she is Fantastic. She is a she

[00:14:25] Like for whatever you might say she jumps off the screen her intensity her charisma her She connects with the people in the audience. She is deaf. She is Missing one of her limbs and they've which they wrote into the character and she is awesome

[00:14:53] The character, Jessica Spencer who played Henry is great The older family the They're so good like Graham Green plays Scully's Greets so good Scully was one of my favorites. Man I loved Scully he was he was great

[00:15:14] Yeah, and you mentioned the deafness and that's sort of thing and that was something that struck me watching It was was the representation of Signing and they didn't do a lot of times in movies

[00:15:28] They do that like deaf speak or somebody's bumbleing through it, but yeah, yeah, it felt very genuine in the way that it was presented here that like they were signing and

[00:15:39] Mostly silent while they were doing it the people who could hear did a little bit of speaking when they put emphasis on words But like it felt very genuine and it felt very real in the way that they presented

[00:15:55] The disability aspect of it as well. Yeah, no, I thought I enjoyed it way more than I thought And I think that's you know, it's a less than any ticked with myself, which is like going to any projects having opened mind

[00:16:13] Yeah, there will be people who hate on it, but I liked biscuits Yeah, I thought it was great like I thought the interaction between Tula and Scully was great And honestly like I actually wanted more you know, like I could I agree wholeheartedly

[00:16:36] I like I say that this is probably going to be a Limited series and only because I don't I just think that that's probably where it's going to go. I wish it was it

[00:16:48] I would love love love more and we got that little I mean quick spoiler warning It's only going to take us like 30 seconds all make sure we don't talk about this for very long, but The after credit scene where it hints towards

[00:17:07] Will said Fisk going and running for mayor right and going to move into that mayor role and really creating that big bat on the street level I was I was hype when that happened

[00:17:21] Yeah, no totally like I thought I mean honestly like Ryan I think you and I when we talked about before like our expert expectations were fairly low And it was way better like again the the I think the cast was great

[00:17:40] I think the writing was great the the people that the producers and the writers consulted with to make sure kind of like accurately captures the Chalk culture and so forth. I thought was really well done And then the flashback scenes when you would see the different

[00:18:01] Interations the different like ancestors if you will beautiful really well done. Yeah, you know again It's not it doesn't have the it doesn't quite have the budget of You know a secret invasion

[00:18:18] But I thought was really good. Yeah, they if they do if they keep doing more of this Like budget and this of this style of show

[00:18:27] On Disney plus I think that that could be a winning formula, you know one or two of these seasons a year where it's something street level and and something just kind of intimate in that way

[00:18:40] I think you could I think that could be a really big formula for the MCU. So one real quick question for you so the one of the Parts of departure from kind of traditional Disney plus and from the dare devil series and other

[00:19:02] So on Netflix was the violence the maturity rating and so forth And I remember a talk with you were like, alright, I got to go into his a plus change my maturity rating to 14 plus so I can watch the show

[00:19:17] Because I didn't show me you know day one. I'm like wait, this is out now. What did you think about the The violence or the that the maturity level if you will because I didn't think it was that bad

[00:19:35] Yeah, I thought I thought it was it was befitting of the story right there was nothing Growth task about it there was nothing Over the top of out it I didn't feel like it it fit the story and it was what was called for by the story

[00:19:55] Yeah, yeah, it wasn't you know sometimes you watch a movie and it's just like here's your you know gratuitous violence scene number one here's your gratuitous nudity scene number two and like There were a couple scenes or it was like, oh, but like felt very

[00:20:17] Feel fair real and connected and felt like this actually is happening and to a certain extent it like add it has a little bit of impact if you will yeah the the The skating scene right like yep

[00:20:36] Yeah, yeah, all right. Well, so that's that's the current content that has been released Moving on to some breaking news this is why I say if I get my stuff together and get this edited all you will get this out tomorrow

[00:20:56] If not you'll hear it next Tuesday because Tuesday is our normal release day, but Breaking news two day Marvel wished us a happy Valentine's day and in doing so they released Pretty fun little Valentine that Announces our fantastic for Cast as well as release date and maybe vibe

[00:21:28] We'll kind of we'll attack them in that order, so first and foremost the cast. So I know I know that the director had previously confirmed Pedro Pascal as read Richards that had been heavily heavily rumored But it finally got confirmed confirmed confirmed by Marvel today

[00:21:48] And then it was confirmed by the director earlier I think that was last week if I remember correctly. Yep Matt checkman released it before like a week. I like let's say with like a week ago Yeah, and then and for those not familiar with Pedro Pascal

[00:22:09] He's the guy in the meme with With Nick Cage where he's smiling at him. He's also the Mandalorian Oh my he's more than I'm like a meme guy like He's in the Mandalorian. He was in

[00:22:30] The last of us he plays the dad man character we can be heroes He was also the game of thrones as the snake Yeah, but like the Pedro Pascal I'm actually

[00:22:46] The reasons why he's good. He's like he's a very like he presents a very kind of complex character, right? He is not anymore Phanela superhero person He has been in action movies, right? So he's been the Mandalorian. He was in Game of Thrones He can

[00:23:10] He represents kind of like a good father figure. He's also really funny Yeah, and has that those chops which are really I think are really important Do you think can play the torture genius scientist though? I'm gonna come to that in a second

[00:23:30] But but I think kind of what the MCU needs right now like popularity Like recognition like oh I remember that guy You know his the you know let's be honest mr Fantastic powers are kind of weird but

[00:23:49] Pedro Pascal can I think and kind of make them cool in a way. Yeah, that's fair And if you really went again in the comic books like he He has played a hero he has played a villain in what are women nineteen eighty four oh yeah

[00:24:08] That's true. I forgot about that and You know so for that reason like he's just got a certain Charisma then I think will help and we have a little bit of a void after endgame when you've lost like

[00:24:25] Robbed engineer Chris Evans and some others and so I think for that reason I think I think he is a solid choice. Yeah, my only reservation Is it mr Fantastic as supposed to be in the MCU or the Marvel comics like top

[00:24:46] Two three smartest guys. Yeah, yeah, it's like him Tony and Hank Pym right and Having watched him get easily worked in game of thrones by the mountain I am a little bit concerned but other than that

[00:25:08] I think I think we'll do fine. Yeah, yeah if we can't get our John crazy and ski I mean we got it we got our John crazy and one movie, but if he wasn't going to stick around to be mr Fantastic forever then

[00:25:22] I guess we'll have to settle with Pedro Pascal. Now he's great like I don't He's also fit me with Marvel. These family are the Disney you know centerpiece if you will for sure So let's talk about the sporting cast yeah the rest so

[00:25:42] Sue Storm is going to be portrayed by Vanessa Kirby who I am not familiar with I looked her up on IMDB looks like she's doing kind of action films looks like mission impossible and some of those

[00:25:55] type of movies right now. I get I'm just not familiar with that so okay, so if you have Three hours you could watch the last mission impossible. We're she is him It is a it is a journey my man She looked like very like I

[00:26:16] Can see it. I can see pedicure scouts mr Fantastic. I can see her as Sue storm Chrismatic jumps off the screen in action Let's go, right nice nice. Yeah, and then the next one which honestly like every single time we have cast a Johnny storm

[00:26:37] It has they've been good like I don't think Johnny storm has ever been the week part of a fantastic for and They're actually all they've all been recast into the MCU later on But this fan this time we are getting Joseph Quinn which for me

[00:26:56] I know him best as Eddie from Stranger Things season for I Literally dressed my son up as that character for So I'm excited. I think Joseph Quinn fits very well. He's got even though Eddie's kind of a freak and and rocker freak kind of look

[00:27:18] That's not what Joseph Quinn looks like as an actor He's he's very cool and and I think he will fit into that cocky Johnnie storm role very well. He's got some big shoes to fail, right? He does he does Michael bajordan and

[00:27:36] Chris Evans are his predecessors and he's his Christ like who? Anyway And then the the last one here which actually this this will open up an interesting conversation Which I want to get to in a second, but So playing the thing will be Evan Moss Bacherock Not 10 GFito

[00:28:04] No not Danny DeVito So yeah, Evan Moss Bacherock which I think that's how you pronounce his last name So right now one of his big places that you'll recognize him is cousin in the bear So he was he's cousin Richie in the bear. He has a pretty long

[00:28:25] Resume if I'm being honest, but a couple more that that bring him into Disney Are He was arval skiing in and or so for those familiar with and or

[00:28:38] It's been long enough. I'm about to give a spoiler for and or if you were worried about a spoiler for And or skip ahead by 10 seconds or something, but and or kills arval skiing after the he's the guy who's kind of questioning and or the whole

[00:28:57] He's not seen it. Thanks man Sorry But then the other interesting thing that this actor has on his resume and We're blowing the gates wide open on this right now, but he was David Lieberman aka the hacker micro in the Punisher series over on Netflix

[00:29:25] Which is now officially part of the MCU And so this creates an interesting situation and and I was doing a little bit of research today to see you know where else has this Creating problems elsewhere one big big note is obviously blade right

[00:29:47] My hercial allie was in Luke Cage as caught in mouth and he will be blade in blade that's that's obviously one forthcoming that is going to be a big conflict One another one that exists is the woman who

[00:30:09] Confirants Tony Stark after what heard yes, thank you. She was also in In Luke Cage and so that also present that one's a little bit less major right I would say in scale as far as like conflicts you have like

[00:30:36] You have her and again, I apologize. I did not grab her name you said Alfie would or Alfie woulder Catma winner she is in the Catma her she's in Kevin Civil War She's also in the Netflix series. I didn't look her up real quick

[00:31:02] But there was so many people that have played multiple MC roles like Chris Evans played two roles But not in the MCU and that's that's the catch right is is within the MCU it is pretty limited so So yeah, then Evan Moss Bacherock

[00:31:27] That you know that he was his character in Punisher really pulled the Punisher Into his vengeance right he he was a pretty main character in that first season of Punisher

[00:31:40] And then especially the really big one is going to be my her shawl. He like he was a big bad in Luke Cage and now he's going to be Blade which is the titular character for a show or for a movie

[00:31:55] So that that's gonna be a big conflict That is you know the old the other one, which is kind of funny and it has to have been planned because I didn't know this until I was doing research today Benedict Comberbatch Voice Dormamu in Dr. Strange

[00:32:15] Okay, so and that one almost has to be planned like that's the same movie that that like there there's no way that they were like oops I guess we have him recording sound today and

[00:32:28] Video tomorrow but yeah, so well, I mean you and I will get into this when getting to civil war, but like you have to remember at the time

[00:32:38] Marvel studios there was a different chase between the movies and the TV shows and so when Alphi Wetter was cast in civil war The movie people had no idea She was no I'm serious like she did no idea that she was cast as Mariah Dolt Stokes in

[00:33:02] Luke Cage and so I mean they kind of ran with it, but yeah to your point like yes, one of the very few characters who have appeared in the Ends quote quote MCU as two different characters, but

[00:33:19] Yeah, and it's interesting and and I I just call it out is interesting and it's one of those things We'll probably keep seeing more of it if they fold born into the MCU, especially as we get more multi-versal and some of those things

[00:33:34] There's there's higher and higher likely, but there's only so many actors in the world and so I do imagine there'll be more and I don't actually have any problem with it here Mostly because I don't think you're gonna see Evans face or ebon's face all that much

[00:33:53] You know he's he's been grim, but he's he's gonna probably pretty quickly within the movie become the thing and Shots face fired Michael Chickless so let me have

[00:34:07] Like of the cast who are you most like which one for you is like the oh man that one is really good like that spot on

[00:34:17] You know as much as I love Joseph quit and it really comes down between Joseph Quinn and even Moss Bok rock for me I think it's even I think His characterization just like watching the bear and watching kind of him be this like

[00:34:35] Chicago want to be gangster has his issues kind of guy I can see that being Translated very quickly into a New York guy in Ben Grimm totally. Yeah, no, I think he's gonna I think it's been really good I made the

[00:34:55] Dendifeder choke because a long time ago somebody Presented the it's always sunny in Philadelphia characters and tactical And Dendifeder was the squats Like that That's fantastic Pun intended

[00:35:18] Hey look what we did here oh, yeah, but we did also get a really state so also in the post we did get a really state The 25th of July in 2025 this does flip flop so this bumps The Thunderbolts up to May

[00:35:38] But it bumps fantastic for back to July This does put us at four projects so we're gonna go one project In 2024 and then we're gonna go four projects Or four movies right in 2025 Which seems like a lot man. It does I Remember at the

[00:36:09] Like we're in the finish phase two started phase three and you get like two maybe three air four seems like a lot Yeah, and I don't think any of them can fall off either like that was the other thing I was thinking about was like

[00:36:27] Are there any of these that they bump off are there any of these that they go and maybe maybe this way it's still 2026 And I don't think there is really It's It's blade Fantastic for And I think Captain America. Yep, yep, Captain America And Thunderbolts yeah

[00:37:01] Yeah, and in order it goes right now the release order is Captain America brave new world is set out on well a year from today February 14th 2025 I think that one will be released on that date

[00:37:18] They just started filming I think last week I saw they started filming I saw some Spoilery kind of stuff that Maybe confirms toy toys and Crew jackets have started to confirm some things that are going to happen with general Ross in that movie

[00:37:43] And then so we have Captain America brave new world year from today That one's probably pretty set in stone Yep, Thunderbolts is is moving along we'll talk about some of the recasting that's happening on that little bit later in the show that that's moving along

[00:38:00] That's probably going to release next year they just really they just put out a date for fantastic force so I don't think they're going to move that I guess maybe they give blade the boot to 2026

[00:38:13] So what's wild to me what's wild to me what it was supposed to be we were supposed to get the Captain America brave new world in July 2024 Thunderbolts in December 24 Blade on Valentine's Day Heart And then a fantastic foreign May and then untitled marful movie in 2025

[00:38:43] So if there's one they punt I agree to you and be blade not because I want them to but because it's Spotlight it could be pushed out they have changed like writers and directors and that one's been subject to a lot of delays

[00:38:59] So I could see I could see them if they're like hey we can only Juggle three balls at a time and they're like okay, we're going to drop this one ball and that one ball will be blade but we'll see yeah

[00:39:11] I could honestly see blade moving to like a February release in 2026 preceding The Avengers movie that's right now called King Dynasty releasing in May of 26 Yeah, there was um Yeah, there was also another untitled marvell movie That was scheduled for that same time period

[00:39:38] But hey note to Kevin Feige and everyone else if you just want to call that X men movie And then like that forward I am 900% in but I also think that after after Deadpool is summer, I think we're going to get a lot of announcements for

[00:39:58] Beware like between King Dynasty because that's what still called right now so we'll call it that but between King Dynasty and secret wars and as shortly after secret wars

[00:40:12] I think we're going to get I think we're going to get a flood after after Deadpool, I think that that will set us up and that I think that'll start to crystallize from there. Oh, totally. Yep

[00:40:24] Cool, so yeah, and then the last thing I did want to note is I really hope that the vibe of this announcement is the vibe of the movie So the announcement was very midmod very Like 50 60s kind of Norman Rockwell type art

[00:40:47] And I think it would be absolutely great if the fantastic for Got a period piece in that that like mid century time frame

[00:41:00] I think that that could be a really fun way to introduce them and then you know time travel is a thing in the MC at this point so maybe they get stuck in the quantum realm until Secret wars or something

[00:41:13] But I I think it would be great if this was set in the 50s 60s time frame and we got some of that in matchaqman or shekman has some experience with that from one division

[00:41:30] And so I think you know kind of a period piece would be pretty cool. So when you look at the marvel MCU timeline book, which as a complete nerd I bought

[00:41:42] There's not a lot in the 60s and I think I said one of our prior podcasts when we're talking about maybe what I'm an expert like I would love Like a retro period late 50s early 60s piece that would be really great to say yeah

[00:41:59] I mean that we were supposed to get that in Antman right that was that was Edgar Wright's vision for Antman and Well, we all know how that turned out Thanks for a mother

[00:42:11] So yeah, that was the fantastic for news and that was big breaking news today. I know I am absolutely hyped for this. I think the casting is very good

[00:42:23] I do know that I think Pedro Pascal paying playing a genius will be one that I'm going to be a little bit nervous to see I he's an actor. He'll figure it out, but

[00:42:36] You know he he hasn't quite shown that cunning genius aspect that we might need, but other than that man, I am genuinely so excited for this one Tolerate totally agree. Awesome. Well, before we get on with our news I do want to take a quick commercial break and

[00:44:41] Because it's just a fun it's just a fun superhero movie and so to be able to just turn it on with no risk and without spending 50 bucks at the movie theater

[00:44:52] You know I think it's a good time and so go go watch it if you haven't already got how much of your local movie ticket theater prices and like 50 seems like a lot, but I mean okay that's not per ticket like

[00:45:10] Are you all in your time? Yeah, yeah, yeah, no Yeah, I am I'm looking for to rewatching it. I so when it first came out I remember you saw it straight away and I took a I was probably about

[00:45:28] Three four weeks after you because of a lot of stuff going on and so I will be interested in revisiting it The other thing Disney Plus does which is kind of cool is they also have extras

[00:45:42] And so I am looking to absorb all the extras like all the content yeah all the extra stuff like

[00:45:51] There was one point in time where I don't remember the characters name, but like the main bad character was talking about how there was a deleted scene where she and Captain Marvel like Like destroyed each other at the very end like oh, okay

[00:46:10] Well, that's a comment about the Captain Marvel Brie Larscare And I want to be the MC anymore, but But it'd be interesting to see kind of like some of that stuff and like what they thought about where they ended up

[00:46:25] Yeah, for sure for sure. Yeah, and I know a lot of the extras that I've seen so far just online and whatnot have been mostly focused around the kittens and the cats because you know, it's the internet God, yes, bring it on The cat content but

[00:46:45] But no, so the other big thing that happened on Disney Plus and this actually happened this week was Disney has released two timelines now So there are two there are two timelines on Disney Plus making for two Official timelines if you will

[00:47:06] I actually think this is a big win for accessibility to the MCU Because what they released was the MCU film timeline and this is The movies in order of where they of the chronology that they happened

[00:47:23] In like their stories happened, right? So you start with Captain America first of Endure you move on to Captain Marvel onto Iron Man, etc, etc. And so I think that this is a big win like I say for accessibility to the MCU because

[00:47:43] Then when you turn over to the other timeline that they released, which is the MCU So you can complete timeline Yeah, there's a lot There is a lot there So they have Every MCU movie they have all of the Disney Plus TV shows They have

[00:48:12] All of the one shots, so all of the Marvel one shots They have all of the Netflix TV shows and they actually broke it out by season For any of the TV show content that we're talking about

[00:48:27] They broke that out by season and slotted the seasons in to where they happened in the time Wow, so yeah So for the completionists out there it exists Agents of shield is still left off in humans is still left off

[00:48:45] Agent Carter TV show is still left off though notably her one shot is on there Those are all left off You do have the specials to the Guardians of Galaxy holiday special is on there Where Wolf by night is on there But it's it's interesting and I I

[00:49:13] I mean, I'm as a nerd. I'm super glad that this timeline order exists I would love to go through and watch it all at some point Good thing I have a show that does that no just kidding. We don't do it in timeline order But Until now

[00:49:30] Reboot the whole thing I just had a moment like I had a flashback moment when I started watching Clone Wars And Do I watch them in release order? No, I watched them in the

[00:49:45] Logical ordering of the law and it was a lot of episodes and I can just imagine like you gave some as new to Star Wars like hey You're gonna start here you've got

[00:49:59] I don't know hundred plus episodes Clone Wars all the anime and stuff like oh yeah all that stuff where he could's all sort in It's very challenging so as a as an MC you nerd

[00:50:12] I am in for it, but I can imagine that would be fairly daunting. I want to see if anybody's gone So I have tried to watch and I have never finished it is a task to do this by try to watch the

[00:50:29] The Arrowverse shows so the DCCW shows But I wanted to watch them Like in their release order Okay, so

[00:50:42] When they were concurrent that means like I got to go to Netflix. I got to watch an episode of Arrow and then I got to back out of Arrow and I got to go watch it Yeah

[00:50:53] And it just like move around through all these other shows and oh

[00:50:57] Yeah, it was not it was not a good time to try and navigate it all so that would be I mean it'd be cool if they if they put something if somebody like looked into it at the episode level and tried to see if there was any interplay where like this is at the season level

[00:51:17] So it's like hey this chunk of time is here, but I wonder if there's there's even at that season level I think I saw on TikTok somebody was doing Like it was start you know, it wouldn't have been Star Wars maybe it was marble

[00:51:33] Somebody was like creating a master file where they cut scenes together They were like cutting the scenes together in the like place where their story took place Oh my god, yeah crazy people on the internet Wow, wow Like I would just like

[00:51:57] I know with all the kind of streaming options I would just like to go somewhere and just have someone line them up Yeah, and yeah if I want to watch all the seasons of it's always sunny great easier do

[00:52:12] But if I want to watch Marvel in Squat's order or Star Trek or whatever like it's actually a little bit of research so it'd be cool someone says hey Click start and then just go from here and just watch them all in order right

[00:52:32] And the complete opposite of that that I would also advocate for is a shuffle button There are TV shows that just need a shuffle button Like I would love to go to the office and just click shuffle and watch whatever comes up

[00:52:48] Which one original or American the American the American version of the British versions alright I like the American version better have you wait wait wait hold on hold on the British version is alright It's so good it's fun it is fun That's so good yeah

[00:53:08] Richard races fantastic, but I mean again they're both great shows anyway But yeah, so somebody out there million dollar idea go go talk to Disney Figure out how to set up a playlist and I mean well that's actually something I've said since the beginning of streaming is

[00:53:44] So in the timeline of movies we talked about you mentioned Thunderbolts Right And just really quick like what are the Thunderbolts So yeah, the Thunderbolts I mean the the for anybody familiar with comic book movies at all right now

[00:54:12] The closest thing I would draw a comparison to is suicide squad So if you're familiar with suicide squad it's basically the Marvel version of suicide squad a lot of Morely ambiguous we'll call them characters some of them full on villains some of them

[00:54:35] Just kind of gray heroes all teaming up to to fight a common cause I would say Okay, and So yeah, I think we're also getting I think David Harbour is returning as Red Guardian yep yep that'd be great loved him great

[00:55:48] He also more recently has been appeared appear to in the TV show beef On Netflix he has dropped out due to scheduling conflicts He is being replaced by Lewis Pullman which is yes the son of Bill Pullman and he was in top gun

[00:56:09] Maverick he played Bob which thinking back on that I'm like oh yeah, of course Those Bill Pullman's kid. He looks just like he's a spitting image of Bill Pullman So yeah, a recast there from Steven Yoon and we don't know characters

[00:56:28] Nothing was announced for who Steven Yoon was playing there was a lot of speculation but nothing announced I very much hope based on the

[00:56:38] Identities that these these two actors hold that that that is not a part of the character that Steven Yoon was going to be prepared or portraying Because that would be very disappointing but

[00:56:56] Other than that we also have Ayo at Barri who you may know from the bear she portrays Sydney in the bear She has she's been in a few other shows and stuff as well But she also had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts which again

[00:57:19] I'm guessing a lot so a lot of this news came in the last month or so where these these dropouts happened and some guessing you know Timelines were getting redrawn because of the switching release dates and not to mention Both of these actors are in very popular

[00:57:38] TV shows which I'm sure also have some some Requirements as far as filming and that's where the thing goes yeah, you can imagine how some of the stuff gets crunched because of the strikes last year And then the strikes are lifted and you're looking at your

[00:57:56] You know what was supposed to be like a probably staggered You know appearance slot now it's all like everything is accelerated and you got to pick something So yeah, so I would bar it I O at a bar is being replaced by Geraldine

[00:58:16] This one of them so you may be familiar with her if you saw This was really several years ago she was in the movie Blockers, which is a kind of ranchy comedy movie she's also in the TV show Miracle Workers

[00:58:43] Harry Potter, I can't even a Dan Radcliffe and she has also I know her from the She's the sister in the Netflix movie The Package Which involves a camping trip where Well the titular packages is removed from a person

[00:59:09] Very funny movie if you haven't watched it. It's on Netflix. I think it's very hilarious It's very ranchy. It's very silly, but it's a lot of it's hilarious Nice, so yeah, it'll be fun. It'll be I feel like once we get that point It'll feel like more normal

[00:59:35] MCU we've got a couple releases and so forth but until then We have One release for 20 24 Man do we and we got our trailer Moving on into the trailer park here Yeah, it's super bowl this last Sunday was super bowl Sunday

[01:00:06] Which does typically come with it's a really good time for movie fans Usually we get a lot of trailers and I think we got three or four trailers for various projects that are out there in the world But the one we care about here is Twister

[01:00:26] Man messed it up No, I was going to say wicked You know both dirty out like what's the movie that's not deadpool they were like I'll go watch that like why not right

[01:00:46] Yeah, so we got deadpool we got deadpool and I was so I watched the super bowl And I watched it literally because I was like I want to be one of the first people to see when the deadpool trailer comes out

[01:00:58] It came out it was literally the first commercial break first commercial It was the deadpool teaser and I will say just want to say this before we really get into the trailer too much The new way that they're releasing trailers during the super bowl is real disappointing

[01:01:14] They they cheap out and they like show you three scenes and then a then cut to a screen that says go watch it online Which kind of sucks. I'm like man. I just want to watch it. I just want like show me the trailer man

[01:01:29] I don't want to have to like pull out my phone and watch it over there and yeah, but we did post about this on our socials I posted it Sunday, so if you haven't watched this trailer already go check it out

[01:01:43] So I wanted to break it down a little bit David. I guess before we break down the details from the trailer was there like what was your overall Take on the trailer when you first saw it. I have never heard of deadpool. Well, no kidding I was

[01:02:02] So I was curious to see like what the tone would be I did not watch Super Bowl for it But I knew that within like two minutes it would be on YouTube somewhere and that's where I watched it So

[01:02:20] I was curious to see how much they would preview as you know we talked about like deadpools been subject to a lot of leaks and So what could they share what could they you know

[01:02:33] You know kind of forecast that would not get into it and so they gave us a pretty fun trailer that Obviously gives away nothing in terms of plot. We see a couple characters like three I think But

[01:02:52] My big like my big thing was like what's the tone in tenor is it gonna be like the deadpool movies Because the other deadpool movies are juvenile and crafts and profane and

[01:03:06] Like that's all I wanted to say and you know what we got some of it. We did pegging is not new to me But it is to Disney Wink So yeah, we opened up the trailer. We are celebrating deadpools birthday

[01:03:23] We see he has been successful in his time travels going back and saving the X force He has saved chatter star He has saved Bob he's saved he's gone back and saved everybody everybody's hanging out You goes there teenage Teenage

[01:03:42] Megasonic teenage warhead is there everybody's hanging out and then the TVA shows up Which that was actually I was pretty stoked when I saw that I was like TVA No way so we are bringing in the TVA into this which

[01:04:00] You know had been speculated that deadpools bucking around with the timeline might catch up to him at some point So he is taken to the TVA. He is held by paradox which in the comics paradox is a variant of mobius

[01:04:18] Which we know mobius from the Loki series obviously I don't know if they'll present him this way he wasn't played paradox was not played by Owen Wilson or anything like that but we'll see and then Yeah, so so Loki's captured by the the TVA

[01:04:42] He makes a quick about pegging not being new to him But it is to Disney and then we cut to just basically a montage of a lot of stuff In this montage we see what looks to be the back of a Wolverine variant called patch

[01:05:04] Yep, which is Wolverine took on this secret identity where he wore a eye patch which was called patch You just kind of see the back of his head with his his classic kind of Clock a Seagulls hair

[01:05:24] Let's see what else do you see in those cuts you see the back of somebody's head the rumors that I'm seeing is Oh, now I can't think of her name Cassandra Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, so this character in the comment

[01:05:49] Yeah, is born in the astral plane and then uses a uses Xavier's DNA to create a body that she can inhabit So she's basically a clone of Xavier

[01:06:02] There's a lot of speculation that that's the back of whose head we saw we see the back of a bald head Is really what it boils down to

[01:06:12] We saw a doctor doom looking person though. I will say after watching that specific part of the montage at 0.25 speed. I am almost certain it is not Dr. Doom It's just somebody in a wasteland

[01:06:27] Interestingly by that person in the wasteland something I caught watching it at 0.25 speed is actually the Golden Gate Bridge is in the background and then also

[01:06:37] A shatari Leviathan is in the background. Okay, so all right if he gets to any kind of like bury a bridge stuff like I will chime in as the answer But No, yeah, the

[01:06:52] I saw one online article which suggested that Dr. Doom would not be in the movie And not even in the fantastic for but which show up as credit, but I'm curious to see I think your observations are right What did you feel like

[01:07:14] All right a couple things so the slowmo action scenes with the end of the guns so cool very cool It's very kind of the 20th century fox So great is going to be so great

[01:07:34] You and I might have to go see at the same time and just like live stream afterwards What did you so dumb like what was your feeling Having watched the whole thing like afterwards did you feel like They captured it do you feel like it's TBD

[01:08:02] Do you feel was too high level what do you think I think that they I think if the whole movie carries the tone of that trailer and if that trailer Is anything like the movie I think that they this will

[01:08:19] Deadpool calls himself Marvel Jesus at one point in the trailer and I think that the metaphor there may be apt that you know all this this the Marvel universe is dying kind of stuff

[01:08:35] I think if this trailer is anything to go off of this may quiet down the haters pretty quickly Yeah, I think I'm I'm going to this one I might have to watch you times I'm gonna love the commentary with the commentary When he says Oh my Jesus

[01:08:59] It kind of looks a little bit and you've got that slice smile and like yeah, you are because you know what if you bomb

[01:09:06] This is really bad things are not going to be pretty but it's not going to be Paul it's not going to bomb you're in the way I'm going to get destroyed And multiverse like Yeah, I don't think madam web is going to be

[01:09:24] I think it's going to be a But consideration for your it's fine. It's fine. It's fine But I will say the a couple more details from the trailer that I wanted to pull out

[01:09:36] Because one of them is blink and you'll miss it the other one was pretty obvious I'm pretty sure that there are several scenes of him fighting in like a snowy pine area like forest and I am almost certain based on the fact that they showed the

[01:09:55] Ageable tron fight on like the screens of the TVA I think he's going to end up at that fight Though we saw an ageable tron where the Avengers are attacking Hydra There is also a lot if you watch it really slowly

[01:10:13] There's a lot of Hydra-E looking things hydro weapons, hydro vehicles that sort of stuff So I do think we could see some hydra showing up here in Deadpool which would be cool

[01:10:23] He's fought Hydra a lot and then the blink and you'll miss it thing is right at the very end So Deadpool kind of crashes through a wall and then Wolverine attacks him

[01:10:35] And off to his left so if you're looking at the screen the left side of the screen There is a comic book laying on the ground And a bottle of soda that comic book is secret Secret wars number five from 2015 So from secret wars volume two essentially

[01:10:59] So that's the comic book that's laying next to him which could be hinting towards something with the secret wars I'd be a little disappointed if that's the secret wars that they chose to portray in the movies

[01:11:13] But yeah so little bit of a hint towards secret wars and then the bottle of soda that's laying on it is of course my favorite your favorite Pinky docile Yeah, yeah It should be it should be a really good time So I am super excited for it

[01:11:36] I'm ready for some Deadpool I am I'm glad you know to go back to echo for a quick second echo broke the seal on that that like big violence In the MCU and and I think that allows

[01:11:53] In a way allows Deadpool to to a little bit more leeway with that Disney can see that Hey people aren't gonna hate it because it is just you know violence and it doesn't match our brand or whatever

[01:12:09] But yeah, but it's like different like the the niche TV show versus like sure Oh, 100% yeah, yeah, yeah, versus standalone movie like that's gonna be a little bit different so Yeah, no like Deadpool should be

[01:12:28] Really fun really good like the preview makes it the preview that we saw makes it seem like they capture the tone the tender the reverence the Volgarity the just the

[01:12:44] And the part I'm actually really interested to see is like the huge Jackman piece because he is one of the characters in the title and we see his back for half a second in his shadow And so I'm looking forward to seeing

[01:13:02] The trailer video of him where he's actually in it and like I don't know If Hugh Jackman is known for his comedy He can sing he's a good actor like yeah, I mean he's he's been a little bit

[01:13:21] Sassy as Wolverine right he wasn't a complete straight man in the X man movies Yeah, no, I would yeah certainly of the oh god of the classic X men. He like yeah He's definitely the one that has the most

[01:13:36] Personality and like you know sarcasm and edge to him worse Much like vanilla like Scyclops and ice But like they can have something could be really really fun. I just want I'm very curious

[01:13:58] I'm really really curious to see the interaction between like the Ryan Reynolds character and you know Deadpool and Wolverine Yeah, I would love to see like Deadpool's the straight man a Wolverine being the absurd one if it's just all Wolverine being like

[01:14:17] Straight person a dead pole being like comedy like okay. I got that but if you twist that that'd be super fun. So Absolutely, absolutely well. I'm stoked and I know you're stoked and honestly like we went through a rough patch with some news here at the end of

[01:14:34] 20 23 we went the strikes became recurring content for us. It was it was dull there for a while So we needed some wins right we and I think I think we've got them so far this year and it's not you know

[01:14:52] It's not time to say like the MCU is back or anything like that. I mean obviously the MCU has always been here for me, but

[01:15:00] You know I will say that I am I think more excited right now about the future projects than I have been in a lot. Yeah, I think it um it feels

[01:15:15] It feels more concrete it feels more immediate it feels kind of tied together like yeah we went through a Little rough patch for sure But I feel like there's a plan. You know we'll see

[01:15:34] You know as we get close to the defender stuff as we get close to a 25 we'll see all that stuff sort out what that would look like Again if I could implore the

[01:15:46] Marvel folks to come out with an X-Men movie it'd be pretty pumped for that but until then Like yeah, there's a lot of stuff going on like even those are not a lot in terms of movies I
