[00:00:02] Welcome to Puny Pod's Monthly Bugle for December of 2024. My name is Ryan and my co-host this merry, merry holiday season is David. David, we're coming off the back of recording a super secret spoiler show. It's the holiday season. How are we feeling tonight?

[00:00:21] I still have to buy presents for my family, but other than that sense of impending dread and nervousness, I'm doing well. How are you?

[00:00:31] I am not too shabby. And for the listeners, I think we're going to release this on Christmas Eve. I think that's the way this works out because that's the next Tuesday and we're ending our endgame saga of four episodes here on Thursday before Christmas.

[00:00:52] So I think this is going to release on Christmas Eve, which is also Hanukkah Eve this year. So happy Hanukkah, happy Christmas to all of our listeners.

[00:01:05] I thought for a second you were going to say, hey, we're going to record on Christmas Eve. I'm like, ah, man. I might have to clue with fam.

[00:01:13] Yeah.

[00:01:14] Because I got to make carnitas and queso vendito for Christmas dinner.

[00:01:19] Yeah, yeah.

[00:01:20] Are you putting it in the fundito?

[00:01:23] In terms of the cheese or in terms of like what?

[00:01:27] Are you putting your carnitas in it or what?

[00:01:29] No, no, that's separate.

[00:01:31] You'll do, there'll be a little pork.

[00:01:36] There'll be a little bit of like onion.

[00:01:39] So some chorizo, some onion, some, I'm trying to remember all the cheeses.

[00:01:47] Oh.

[00:01:47] Oaxaca.

[00:01:48] Yeah, a little bit of that, a little bit of sharp.

[00:01:54] It's really good.

[00:01:55] It's really good.

[00:01:57] I love, we, it's actually been a couple of recording, a couple of times we've recorded that's actually been dinner where I've like fixed it and then I'll like put it in the oven, big cast iron.

[00:02:11] And then Lisa, I'll let Lisa pull it out and feed her and Ted.

[00:02:15] So.

[00:02:15] Oh, that sounds great.

[00:02:17] Yeah, so we, we've got like, um, uh, my wife, she bought like a homemade like tortilla press years ago.

[00:02:24] Nice.

[00:02:25] So we had some tortillas.

[00:02:26] The carnitas recipe is like well practiced at this point in time.

[00:02:30] So it's this kind of gluttonous like, oh, what am I having for dinner?

[00:02:34] I'm going to have pork and I'm going to have cheese and pork in a tortilla and then pass out.

[00:02:42] And the next day I'm like, ah, man, hello Christmas.

[00:02:45] Like, yeah, but we've done every year.

[00:02:47] It's fun.

[00:02:47] So.

[00:02:48] That's awesome.

[00:02:49] Yeah.

[00:02:49] Yeah.

[00:02:49] Yeah.

[00:02:49] I, I just realized I didn't add this to the show notes, but I have other Marvel stuff that

[00:02:55] I did.

[00:02:55] You talking about tacos made me remember that I did two stops at the same taco spot during

[00:03:01] this vacation, but I, I just did some travel that had some Marvel stuff in it.

[00:03:07] Um, so I'm going to take a quick minute before we get to the news and talk about that for a

[00:03:10] quick second.

[00:03:11] So, um, I did go out to San Diego, uh, beginning of December.

[00:03:16] Um, my wife had a conference out there and so I got to screw around and part of my screwing

[00:03:22] around, I actually went to the comic con museum.

[00:03:25] You guys might've seen some of my posts on social media about it.

[00:03:28] Um, really cool museum.

[00:03:31] Honestly, um, it's small.

[00:03:33] Um, I'd say maybe a touch over price for what it is.

[00:03:36] It was 25 bucks to get in.

[00:03:38] Um, and it had like three major exhibits plus some like side exhibits, um, some cool old

[00:03:47] comics and old like toys and stuff in there from, from Marvel stuff like old Migos and whatnot.

[00:03:55] Um, so pretty, pretty neat little thing.

[00:03:58] I would say if you're in San Diego, go check that out.

[00:04:01] Also on that trip, we went up and we visited Disneyland.

[00:04:03] Um, and during that visit, we got to see the new Avengers shop, which if you are in the

[00:04:10] Anaheim area, go check that Avengers shop out.

[00:04:13] The, the, I think it's called like Avengers reserve.

[00:04:19] Um, you don't have to go into the parks.

[00:04:21] You don't have to pay.

[00:04:22] It's in downtown Disney.

[00:04:23] So, um, they've got this cool big statue of Hulk on the outside, little tiny statues of

[00:04:29] Ant-Man and the Wasp up in the facade.

[00:04:32] Uh, Spider-Man's up on the facade on the inside.

[00:04:35] You got like ghost spider and rocket and Groot and, um, tons of artifacts up on the walls.

[00:04:42] Plus like a bunch of cool Marvel stuff.

[00:04:44] They had like a Christmas tree cause it was Christmas time.

[00:04:46] They had a Christmas tree made out of comic book pages, which was really neat.

[00:04:50] Um, so yeah, go check that out.

[00:04:54] If you are like going to the parks or if you are anywhere near Anaheim, go, go for sure.

[00:05:01] Check out Avengers reserve again.

[00:05:03] It's in downtown Disney.

[00:05:04] So you don't got to pay the 200 bucks to get into the park or whatever.

[00:05:07] Um, you can just go hang out, go get some din Tai fun, get some good, uh, dumplings and

[00:05:13] then go hang out at the Avengers shop.

[00:05:18] So, so where is it again on the, um, downtown Disney?

[00:05:23] In downtown Disney.

[00:05:23] Um, so it is in the new area right by Din Tai Fung.

[00:05:29] So Din Tai Fung is in where for those familiar with Disneyland at all, um, it's, it's on the

[00:05:35] end near the hotels.

[00:05:36] So near Disneyland hotel, they replaced what used to be the AMC theater.

[00:05:42] There was Earl of sandwich over there.

[00:05:43] There were some other things they tore down that building, um, and they're building it

[00:05:47] back up.

[00:05:48] Um, and there's kind of a, there's a lawn there with a really nice stage, which I side

[00:05:54] note, I'm a Disney parks fan and I nerd out about this stuff.

[00:05:57] I think actually the stage and lawn is a really nice addition to downtown Disney, but, um, yeah,

[00:06:06] right there, there's two new shops that opened in the last month.

[00:06:08] One is called D lander and it's like Disney's collaboration work.

[00:06:13] So like their Lulu lemon collaboration, uh, they're like Vera Bradley and that sort of

[00:06:18] stuff that they do.

[00:06:19] And then next to it is the Avengers reserve, which is all Marvel stuff.

[00:06:26] Um, it's basically right across the street from the star Wars stuff too.

[00:06:31] Okay.

[00:06:32] Yeah.

[00:06:32] I remember, um, last time we're there, they were building out, had some walls up, but you

[00:06:38] could see the facade of the, um, structure they were building there.

[00:06:42] So it sounds like it's right across from the old, what was the restaurant?

[00:06:48] ESPN zone.

[00:06:49] Yes.

[00:06:50] Yeah.

[00:06:51] Okay.

[00:06:51] Yeah.

[00:06:51] ESPN zones like across the street, uh, right there, the street quote unquote, but so near,

[00:06:57] not just South of the, or near the Lego store.

[00:07:01] Right.

[00:07:01] Yeah.

[00:07:02] Closer to the hotels than the Lego store.

[00:07:04] Yep.

[00:07:04] Got it.

[00:07:05] Yep.

[00:07:06] So it's, it's pretty cool.

[00:07:07] And like I say, even if you just go to check it out for the ambiance, it's like, it's,

[00:07:13] it's a rad store.

[00:07:14] Like just, just the stuff that's on the walls and the statues and stuff.

[00:07:19] It's, it's good quality statues.

[00:07:21] You know, it's not just cardboard cutouts or something.

[00:07:24] It's, it's good, you know, Disney Imagineering style statues and stuff.

[00:07:29] I just feel sorry for my family.

[00:07:31] Next time we get on there, like, Hey, I'm just going to go to the store for like four hours,

[00:07:35] go enjoy the parks and I'll catch up.

[00:07:38] There you go.

[00:07:39] And the pirates of Caribbean anyway.

[00:07:42] Um, so yeah, uh, I, I realized that I apologize, David, that I, I commandeered the podcast there

[00:07:49] for a second, but completely fine.

[00:07:51] I will allow it.

[00:07:54] Um, so yeah, let's move into some Marvel news.

[00:07:57] Uh, we've got, we've got a few things in store, so we have a little bit of news this month,

[00:08:01] a few things we want to address.

[00:08:03] And then actually we're going to do a year in review.

[00:08:06] Uh, so we'll do where, and we're going to do a Christmas theme.

[00:08:09] We're going to do some, some fun year in review with a little bit of a Christmas theme on it.

[00:08:16] Um, so some news though, that came out the recently, um, we did see the announcement that Chris

[00:08:24] Evans has been cast for doomsday.

[00:08:27] We'll be coming back.

[00:08:28] Um, what do you think, David?

[00:08:30] Is he going to play cap?

[00:08:31] Is he going to play some version of cap?

[00:08:34] What's, what's your think?

[00:08:35] So I watched, um, I watched a video.

[00:08:39] So at the end of, uh, end game, there's, you know, young cap disappears, put, puts back

[00:08:46] infinity stones.

[00:08:47] He's old cap.

[00:08:48] And the directors and writers had inconsistent stories as to what happened to cap.

[00:08:55] Mm-hmm.

[00:08:56] Um, I think as I recall the, there was one camp that said he came, he went back to the

[00:09:03] forties, had his, had his life with Peggy and it created its own branch chain reality.

[00:09:10] And then there was another camp, which said, I think it was the directors who said that like,

[00:09:14] no, he was still in 616 and he just was quiet the whole time.

[00:09:18] And he lived his life and, you know, appeared this at this later spot.

[00:09:22] Um, doomsday is now it's, it's looking like it's going to be this wild collection of characters

[00:09:33] whom we have seen before.

[00:09:35] So we have Robert Downey Jr.

[00:09:37] is coming back as Dr.

[00:09:38] Doom.

[00:09:39] I think cap might come back as an alternate version of cap.

[00:09:43] Like, I mean, Chris Evans will come back as an alternate MCU version of Captain America.

[00:09:50] You'll have.

[00:09:51] Cap.

[00:09:52] Maybe you have Sam Wilson cap.

[00:09:54] Like, it's going to be wild.

[00:09:56] Yeah, definitely.

[00:09:58] I think this is going to be the fun side of multiversal.

[00:10:02] Like, this isn't going to be wrap your head around different things.

[00:10:06] This is, this is like, I think Doomsday is going to have a touch of what if.

[00:10:10] Where it's like, we don't really explain how we got there.

[00:10:13] Yeah, yeah.

[00:10:14] But we got it right.

[00:10:15] Star-Lord is, or T'Challa is Star-Lord type of stuff, right?

[00:10:19] Right.

[00:10:19] Like, you know, it's a loose plot to get there.

[00:10:23] But we got there.

[00:10:25] And here's this thing.

[00:10:27] I don't know that Chris Evans is going to play that big of a role.

[00:10:31] I think that this could just be a, hey, let's, let's say we got this guy.

[00:10:36] You know, it's going to be more than a cameo.

[00:10:38] So I don't expect that he's going to reprise his role as Johnny Storm.

[00:10:44] Oh, bummer.

[00:10:45] Be still my heart.

[00:10:48] Avengers.

[00:10:48] Flame on.

[00:10:52] I think he's going to have more than a minor role.

[00:10:54] Yeah, that's fair.

[00:10:56] I think he'll be in for, once you see the Russas are back, I can't remember if it's

[00:11:04] McFeely or Marcus who's writing it.

[00:11:06] Only one of them is.

[00:11:07] McFeely, I think.

[00:11:08] Is it McFeely okay?

[00:11:10] I think they're going to go back to the hits.

[00:11:13] And I think we will, again, because of the, not to get into it too much, but like to get

[00:11:20] into the kind of up and down of the multiverse, the major stuff, the kind of like having to

[00:11:29] like veer and reassess and then kind of like spin out from there.

[00:11:35] I think it's going to feel a little more phase three than we would normally expect.

[00:11:44] So I think we're going to see hell of people back.

[00:11:47] That's fair.

[00:11:48] I could see that.

[00:11:50] I definitely could see that where like, it's almost the Force Awakens recipe, right?

[00:12:01] Where it's like, let's just replay the hits.

[00:12:03] Play the hits again and make some cash real quick.

[00:12:07] Is Hansel going to get killed again?

[00:12:10] Is that what you're saying?

[00:12:12] Sorry.

[00:12:13] No, but.

[00:12:14] For a 10-year-old movie.

[00:12:17] Loki.

[00:12:17] Loki will probably get killed again.

[00:12:19] Aw.

[00:12:20] Where it be, Loki?

[00:12:21] Loki.

[00:12:23] I, again, I have, like, I trust what they're doing.

[00:12:30] Yeah.

[00:12:30] I think it'll be good.

[00:12:33] We'll get to the.

[00:12:34] It seems safe.

[00:12:35] It's, it's.

[00:12:36] It's super safe, right?

[00:12:39] Yeah.

[00:12:39] Yeah.

[00:12:41] Looking over here.

[00:12:43] So moving on to another confirmation we got recently.

[00:12:47] Um, so Nate Moore, who's an executive within Marvel, he's a producer within Marvel Studios.

[00:12:54] Um, he's actually leaving the studios after, um, after a few, uh, movies.

[00:13:02] But one of the things that came out of the interviews where he was leaving is he is actually,

[00:13:08] is that we actually saw, I think it was Kevin Feige said, um, we get the, the good fortune.

[00:13:16] We have the good fortune of working with him in a new way on our next Black Panther movie,

[00:13:22] um, which would indicate a Black Panther 3 is in the works.

[00:13:28] This is the first we have heard of this.

[00:13:30] This is the first, like, hint towards a third Black Panther, um, that we've heard.

[00:13:36] So, um, pretty exciting stuff there.

[00:13:43] Definitely, uh, you know, great to see the Black Panther title living on.

[00:13:48] It will likely be a Shuri Black Panther movie, I would imagine.

[00:13:52] Um, which I'm, I'm excited for.

[00:13:54] I'm glad that she gets like a whole movie as Black Panther instead of just like a movie where

[00:14:01] she struggles with the idea of being Black Panther and then becomes Black Panther halfway through.

[00:14:07] Um, I'm excited that she gets a movie where she's actually Black Panther.

[00:14:11] Yeah.

[00:14:11] And you can see where you have, um, more time in Wakanda and yeah, it makes perfect sense.

[00:14:20] Right.

[00:14:21] Yeah.

[00:14:23] Um, and then staying with movies for a second here, um, but moving outside the MCU, um, Spider-Verse

[00:14:31] got some, some updates.

[00:14:33] So, uh, I believe, I forget what the final one's supposed to be called, but I think it's

[00:14:40] beyond Spider-Verse.

[00:14:41] Um, but it, it did get a directing team.

[00:14:48] So Bob Perschetti, who was part of the directing team for the first Spider-Verse movie, as well

[00:14:54] as executive producing the second one.

[00:14:56] And Justin K. Thompson, who was the production designer for the first Spider-Verse movie,

[00:15:01] um, will be directing this final Spider-Verse movie, which is really exciting.

[00:15:07] You know, obviously the, the design, the production design and the visual design of Spider-Verse

[00:15:13] is something that sets it apart.

[00:15:15] Um, so I think Justin K. Thompson, you know, getting the nod as director makes a lot of sense.

[00:15:21] Um, he, he designed his way into a very, very cool universe.

[00:15:26] And so getting, getting to direct it makes a lot of sense to me.

[00:15:30] Um, and then obviously Bob has some, Bob Perschetti has some, uh, resume there.

[00:15:37] Right.

[00:15:37] Right.

[00:15:38] Um, this is going to be a 2026 release, I believe.

[00:15:44] Yeah, that's, we got a little bit of a pseudo delay.

[00:15:48] Nobody knows for sure.

[00:15:50] There's a lot, there were a lot of articles that came out that were like, it won't be out

[00:15:53] till 2027.

[00:15:54] Um, that wasn't said anywhere.

[00:15:56] That was extrapolated from a deadline article that was like summing up how bad, uh, Craven

[00:16:05] was doing.

[00:16:06] Um, I think what's funny is you, you actually screenshotted and sent me other parts of that

[00:16:14] article.

[00:16:14] Um, but everybody's like grabbing onto this one, one line that like deadline wrote.

[00:16:20] It wasn't quoted from anyone that was saying it likely won't have, or that Spireverse won't

[00:16:26] light or will likely not have a release until 2027.

[00:16:28] Now I will say one of the voice actors, uh, Drell Jerome, um, was what did give an interview

[00:16:41] and did mention that they have not started voice work for the final Spider-Verse movie yet.

[00:16:47] So that would indicate, you know, it is, it is a little further out.

[00:16:51] It, it might be challenging for it to come out in 2025.

[00:16:56] It's 2026 though.

[00:16:57] Seems like it would make some sense.

[00:16:59] Totally.

[00:17:00] Yeah.

[00:17:00] Makes total sense.

[00:17:02] 2027 seems like maybe a little bit of a reach people saying 2027 feels, um, a little out

[00:17:07] there.

[00:17:07] Yeah.

[00:17:08] I was going to say, unless you're going to like crank out Madam web two or I guess that's,

[00:17:14] that's news that I didn't list here is Sony's Sony is basically saying that they're done

[00:17:20] with their villains verse.

[00:17:21] Like it is, it is cashed.

[00:17:24] It is, it is done.

[00:17:28] I still have hope for Craven to make how much I need 700 minutes.

[00:17:35] Oh, I didn't update this.

[00:17:37] It's fine.

[00:17:37] I think I won.

[00:17:38] It's fine.

[00:17:39] I won.

[00:17:40] Um, get your Waba key and your American Snickers ready.

[00:17:47] It's fine.

[00:17:47] It's fine.

[00:17:48] Um, yeah, I think we knew that, um, I think we knew the Spider-Verse would take some time.

[00:17:55] Uh, I'm surprised.

[00:17:56] I'm honestly surprised it was done like kind of back, back and back recorded, ready to

[00:18:01] go.

[00:18:02] But it sounds like, I think 2026 will be the, the reason I think 2026 is more likely is

[00:18:10] like Sony is canning their extended Spider-Verse of villains.

[00:18:18] Originally they were trying to like build this like universe of villains.

[00:18:21] Like we have Mobius, we've got Craven, we've got like all these anti-heroes, not quote unquote

[00:18:26] villains.

[00:18:27] Right.

[00:18:28] And they were going to show up in a team up and it was going to be their version of like,

[00:18:33] you know, um, uh, Thunderbolts or whatever.

[00:18:39] And they didn't really, I mean, it's a separate discussion as to what happened to that, but

[00:18:45] like it never really like grabbed audiences other than Venom.

[00:18:50] The first Venom did really well.

[00:18:52] Right.

[00:18:53] Right.

[00:18:54] Yeah.

[00:18:54] To like 800 plus million.

[00:18:56] And then it dropped off precipitously since then.

[00:19:00] So.

[00:19:00] Yeah.

[00:19:01] Well, and I think the quality dropped off too.

[00:19:03] Like that first Venom was good.

[00:19:06] Um, but past that it's just, they've struggled and I mean, they're making good, good animated

[00:19:12] content like Spider-Verse is totally.

[00:19:16] Yeah.

[00:19:16] Yeah.

[00:19:16] Legitimately some of the best superhero content out there right now.

[00:19:20] Um, so hopefully the focus there can help.

[00:19:24] So.

[00:19:24] Yeah.

[00:19:25] Um, moving on off of movies.

[00:19:27] I did want to make a mention of this.

[00:19:29] I don't know.

[00:19:30] Um, I, I, this is something that's really cool.

[00:19:33] I have not played this video game yet, but there was a Marvel video game released.

[00:19:37] It's called Marvel rivals launched earlier this month in December.

[00:19:42] Um, it's a third person hero shooter, uh, for anybody familiar with video games, that's

[00:19:47] like the overwatch games.

[00:19:49] Um, so you pick your hero and, um, battle as your hero, very light story, mostly focused

[00:19:58] on like multiplayer kind of gameplay.

[00:20:00] So not a whole lot of story aspects to it.

[00:20:03] A lot more on the just gameplay aspects.

[00:20:06] It's on PS five, Xbox series X and S as well as PC cross play, uh, works.

[00:20:13] So you can play against your friends or with your friends, um, who are playing on a different

[00:20:18] console.

[00:20:23] Um, it actually launched with more players than overwatch two.

[00:20:29] I think triple the amount of players that overwatch two has.

[00:20:32] Uh, so that's a pretty big that overwatch two is like the largest in that genre was the

[00:20:38] largest in that genre.

[00:20:39] So, uh, Marvel rivals kind of at launch already super outpaced that, which is great to see.

[00:20:46] Um, and then here less than a week in, um, they're at 20 million players.

[00:20:54] There's 20 million players playing this game, which is a really good number.

[00:20:58] That's, that's a really exciting number.

[00:21:00] So, um, I, I want to go check it out.

[00:21:03] Uh, multiplayer games like that aren't always cause I smack my mic.

[00:21:08] I'm sorry, listener.

[00:21:09] Um, multiplayer games like that are not always my, my cup of tea.

[00:21:15] Um, but you know, um, I, I'm excited.

[00:21:20] I'm glad that something in our world is doing, doing big numbers like that.

[00:21:23] That's really exciting for sure.

[00:21:25] All right.

[00:21:25] So I'm a noob.

[00:21:26] I knew nothing about this.

[00:21:28] Do I have to like download software?

[00:21:31] Do I have to pay a fee?

[00:21:32] Do I like what's, how do I get into it?

[00:21:35] Yeah, I think, oh, I, I don't remember if this one is a free to play.

[00:21:41] I do know that it's so you do have to download it.

[00:21:46] Yes.

[00:21:46] Uh, and you have to have a device capable of playing it.

[00:21:50] So either a, uh, a PC capable of it or a video game console.

[00:21:56] Um, I've got my, uh, when Nintendo, we keep going.

[00:22:00] And then, um, from there.

[00:22:03] Yeah.

[00:22:03] I do know that it does have like the battle path.

[00:22:06] It has a battle pass, um, kind of method, which for those totally in the, the, the, um,

[00:22:15] um, totally like not in the know, um, battle pass is a, it's a, um, modern thing that a

[00:22:22] lot of video games are doing where the lower the cost of the initial game, but you have to

[00:22:27] pay every few months and you get to unlock a bunch of stuff.

[00:22:31] Um, so it's kind of a current method within video games.

[00:22:36] Something that Marvel rivals is unique in that people are really excited about is that their

[00:22:42] battle passes don't expire.

[00:22:45] Um, so typically they're time locked and like you, you only have a few months to complete

[00:22:50] your battle pass.

[00:22:51] And then, you know, if anything that you don't complete the, the rewards go away and you

[00:22:57] paid for nothing.

[00:22:58] Right.

[00:22:58] Um, the, with Marvel rivals, they're actually, um, making it a lot of money.

[00:23:06] Making the battle pass last forever, which is kind of cool.

[00:23:08] So it's cool.

[00:23:09] Yeah.

[00:23:10] That's something that it's being celebrated for.

[00:23:12] I also saw that its servers are really stable, which unfortunately right now in video games

[00:23:16] is not a given, um, their video game servers tend to have a lot of problems, uh, and, and

[00:23:24] end up with a lot of like downtime for, for players and Marvel rivals has been really stable,

[00:23:31] which, you know, in and of itself is an achievement.

[00:23:33] So, um, really exciting.

[00:23:35] You know, I, again, I'll probably give it a shot at some point.

[00:23:39] I've, I actually, this week started playing, um, Sony's Spider-Man two, which has been really

[00:23:45] exciting.

[00:23:46] Um, and that's more of a single player, you know, you play a Spider-Man type of situation,

[00:23:53] but, but yeah, Marvel rivals.

[00:23:55] Um, if you want, I guess if somebody wants a taste of it, I do know that our network Twitch,

[00:24:01] um, Jason, uh, will sometimes get on there and he'll play Marvel rivals.

[00:24:05] So if you want to see somebody play it or see how it's played, um, Jason plays it sometimes

[00:24:11] on there.

[00:24:11] So he might try and see if he can check a time when he's doing that.

[00:24:15] Can I play as Madam web?

[00:24:17] I don't think Madam web is in there, but Penn E Parker is.

[00:24:22] Oh, that's fine.

[00:24:23] She's one of the characters.

[00:24:24] Yeah, that's fine.

[00:24:24] So that does it for our news.

[00:24:27] I do want to real quick.

[00:24:28] I do want to touch on some comic releases that hit Marvel unlimited.

[00:24:32] I know David, you scored Marvel unlimited on black Friday.

[00:24:35] I think they're still running a deal.

[00:24:37] So listener, if you are still interested in black or in, um, Marvel unlimited, check it

[00:24:42] out.

[00:24:43] I think it's now, I think at black Friday, it was like 40 or 45 bucks for the year.

[00:24:49] Um, right now I think it's running at like 50 bucks for the year.

[00:24:53] So if you want to get into comics, really, really good place to do it.

[00:24:57] Um, but I do want to run through just a few number one releases that got released in

[00:25:02] the last month on, uh, Marvel unlimited.

[00:25:05] I'm only going to give their titles, not their descriptions just cause, uh, I'm less prepared

[00:25:10] than I expected to be.

[00:25:11] Um, but I do want to highlight some of these cause I noticed some of them are some things

[00:25:15] I think people will be interested in getting in and getting in on and reading.

[00:25:20] So, um, released in, uh, added to Marvel unlimited, um, on, uh, well, it'll be added

[00:25:34] as of yesterday when this releases, but on the 23rd of December, you do have the spirits

[00:25:40] of vengeance number one.

[00:25:42] So there's, um, a few ghost writers right now.

[00:25:45] And so this is a comic about them.

[00:25:48] It's a really exciting, you know, kind of story there.

[00:25:51] Um, if you're into ghost writer, really great, great entry point.

[00:25:56] Um, for sure.

[00:25:59] Um, you have some Deadpool stuff that came out, uh, so, and a lot of Venom war.

[00:26:04] So Venom war is kind of the big event going on right now.

[00:26:07] Um, so you have a few different things, including some Deadpool in that, uh, area.

[00:26:13] Um, let's see, scroll and scroll and scroll and scroll and scrolling.

[00:26:17] Um, looking at the week of, uh, 12, 16.

[00:26:22] So December 16th, uh, Avengers assemble number one.

[00:26:26] So that's an, an Avengers title, which I know people love Avengers titles.

[00:26:30] People sometimes want to get into reading Avengers.

[00:26:32] So that's a great place to enter there.

[00:26:35] Um, with a number one, obviously.

[00:26:38] And then let's see here more Venom war stuff.

[00:26:44] Um, moving on into, uh, December 9th released on December 9th.

[00:26:52] Uh, we do have what if Donald duck became Thor that released.

[00:26:57] Uh, but, uh, other than that, um, what did I see?

[00:27:04] Oh, uh, they are starting a new Marvel zombies series.

[00:27:07] So if you're into kind of the spooky, scary kind of Marvel zombie stuff,

[00:27:14] there, there is a new release for you there.

[00:27:17] Um, and then pushing back a little bit further in to the beginning of December.

[00:27:25] So December 2nd, um, this one I have to highlight, uh, aliens versus Avengers.

[00:27:33] Uh, so that's aliens as in the, uh, the alien franchise.

[00:27:39] Yeah.

[00:27:40] The 20th century Fox, uh, franchise, um, versus the Avengers.

[00:27:47] So that's kind of fun.

[00:27:48] Uh, they, they, they've been doing an imprint with 20, 20, with the 20th century Fox stories,

[00:27:54] uh, lately.

[00:27:55] So that's kind of fun.

[00:27:57] Um, um, Deadpool has a team up that started a, uh, on the 2nd of December.

[00:28:03] Um, as well as a, there's a new moon night phases of moon night that came out then.

[00:28:09] So if you were looking to get into any of those, uh, really good entry points there.

[00:28:14] Um, so yeah, those are, those are kind of the major ones that, that had some entry points

[00:28:20] here.

[00:28:21] Um, since the last time we released a monthly bugle, also miles Morales, Spider-Man, I forgot

[00:28:27] about that miles Morales, Spider-Man, um, on, or no, that's a reprint.

[00:28:32] Sorry.

[00:28:32] I, I misread that one.

[00:28:34] That's a, that's a reprint from 2021.

[00:28:36] So, um, not, not a number one that released, but yeah, some, some good, um, good reading

[00:28:45] material.

[00:28:45] If you want to get into comics, um, oh yeah, Wolverine, that's not a reprint.

[00:28:50] Wolverine number one, um, came out in, uh, on the 25th of, um, November.

[00:29:00] So, uh, on Marvel unlimited, both I guess, and Dazzler Dazzler also got a number one that,

[00:29:07] that week.

[00:29:08] So a couple of good entry points for sure.

[00:29:10] You know, go check those out.

[00:29:12] Um, some good places to start reading comics.

[00:29:15] We've been batting around some ideas about some comic stuff we might do.

[00:29:19] So, um, if you are somebody who used to read comics and you want to read more, or if you,

[00:29:26] um, haven't been in, or if you've been into the movies, but never got into comics, there's

[00:29:32] some good entry points.

[00:29:33] So go check those out.

[00:29:34] You want to move on to the, we'll, we'll close it out here.

[00:29:38] You are ready to unwrap some gifts.

[00:29:40] Let's do it.

[00:29:42] Uh, I need JR to give me a jingle bell filled version of our theme.

[00:29:47] Um, so, so yeah, last year we did year in review, year in preview all in January.

[00:29:56] Um, this year we wanted to split it up a little bit, change it up, give you guys kind of a

[00:30:02] year in review here.

[00:30:03] And then next month in January, we'll do a year in preview, uh, 2025 in preview.

[00:30:10] So, um, so yeah, year in review.

[00:30:14] I want to run down, I'm going to run down all the projects that released this year, uh, real

[00:30:18] quick, just so we kind of all remember what all came out this year.

[00:30:22] I think this is an exhaustive list as far as movies and TV shows go.

[00:30:27] Um, I don't think we missed anything, but, um, and then we'll, we'll do some Christmas gift

[00:30:35] miss themed awards for the year.

[00:30:38] So, um, MCU movies.

[00:30:40] We had just won this year in 2024.

[00:30:42] We had, but it was a big one.

[00:30:44] We had Deadpool and Wolverine, um, little picture.

[00:30:49] Nobody saw it.

[00:30:50] Just kidding.

[00:30:51] Literally.

[00:30:52] I was going to thank you.

[00:30:53] Uh, thank you.

[00:30:55] Director, actor strike.

[00:30:57] No, it was writers and actor strike.

[00:31:00] Yeah.

[00:31:01] Yeah.

[00:31:02] Um, and then moving on to our non MZU movies, AKA what?

[00:31:08] My list.

[00:31:10] Yeah.

[00:31:10] David's list for the bet.

[00:31:12] Uh, we had Adam web.

[00:31:15] We had venom.

[00:31:17] The last dance.

[00:31:17] And we had Craven the hunter.

[00:31:20] Um, all I think in the teens on brought in tomatoes.

[00:31:25] Um, so rough, rough.

[00:31:28] No, from, from a, from a, from a, from a quote unquote critic perspective, but the audience

[00:31:34] loves them all.

[00:31:36] So let's not, let's not try to diminish those, my man.

[00:31:41] Um, moving over to some TV shows.

[00:31:45] And honestly, this is where I think Marvel kind of shines a little bit right now.

[00:31:52] Um, so January we had echo, uh, release on Hulu and Disney plus Spidey and his amazing

[00:32:02] friends season three also started airing in January of 2024.

[00:32:06] That's the preschool Spider-Man show.

[00:32:08] Uh, trust me.

[00:32:10] I know all about it.

[00:32:11] Um, moon girl and devil dinosaur on Disney plus also released started releasing in February

[00:32:18] of 2024.

[00:32:19] Um, that's also a kids animated show.

[00:32:22] Um, it's a little bit older than preschool.

[00:32:25] I would say it's, you know, early elementary kind of age.

[00:32:28] And then X-Men 97 released on, on Disney plus in March of 2024 hit monkey released over

[00:32:36] on Hulu in July.

[00:32:38] It's an adult animation show.

[00:32:41] Um, I have not watched it.

[00:32:42] I really have been meaning to, I've heard it's pretty good.

[00:32:45] Uh, so I do want to check that one out.

[00:32:47] So, and then Agatha all along released in September and we all got, uh, the ballot of the witch's

[00:32:56] road stuck in our head.

[00:32:58] Oh God, don't, don't do it again.

[00:33:02] Follow me, my friend.

[00:33:05] Oh God, I hate you.

[00:33:07] I love you, but I hate you.

[00:33:08] And then not quite a TV show, but not quite a movie was Marvel, uh, or Lego Marvel Avengers

[00:33:15] mission demolition, which released in October.

[00:33:19] Um, it was just a short film.

[00:33:22] I think it was like 30 minutes long, maybe 60.

[00:33:24] Um, but it's the Lego Marvel stuff.

[00:33:28] And then, uh, coming out after we record, but before we release, uh, is what if season

[00:33:38] three, which I am very stoked for.

[00:33:40] We just, we just got all the episode titles, which, uh, some of them sound interesting.

[00:33:46] Uh, I think one of them was like, what if, uh, Darcy got hitched?

[00:33:51] Um, which given the trailer, I think she's going to marry Howard the doc.

[00:33:56] Um, but, um, but yeah, so with that all being said, so that those are our releases, you know,

[00:34:07] Marvel is intentionally slowing down.

[00:34:09] So there, there is a few less, especially on the movie side releases than normal.

[00:34:14] Um, a lot of this was also outside of the MCU, you know, obviously all those Sony projects

[00:34:19] on the movie side.

[00:34:20] And then like the Spidey and his amazing friends, moon girl, devil dinosaur, hit monkey.

[00:34:26] Uh, Lego Marvel Avengers.

[00:34:28] That's all outside of the MCU.

[00:34:30] So that's, you know, not, not our continuity, so to speak.

[00:34:33] Um, I think X-Men 97 may prove to be outside our continuity as well.

[00:34:38] Um, there's a few things that there's a few things that lightly contradicted, um, the MCU.

[00:34:46] So I have a feeling that, that, um, X-Men 97 is supposed to be in a different continuity.

[00:34:53] Um, I didn't, did not realize we were going to get to the multiverse tonight, my man, but

[00:34:58] okay.

[00:34:59] Um, so no, yeah, we didn't have like, we didn't have as many movies for you because of the,

[00:35:06] um, aforementioned strikes, right?

[00:35:10] Yeah.

[00:35:10] You had the strikes from 2023 postponed a lot of content.

[00:35:14] Uh, we got one movie in the MCU.

[00:35:18] We had three Sony projects and then a bunch of Disney plus shows.

[00:35:25] But I would say, honestly, the Disney plus shows were really strong and really delivered.

[00:35:32] Yeah.

[00:35:33] I have a feeling we're going to be talking about a lot of those Disney plus shows here in a second

[00:35:36] as we go through our, our awards.

[00:35:39] So, um, so awards here, we decided to theme this a little bit.

[00:35:44] It's the 12 gifts of gifts, gifts miss.

[00:35:46] Uh, so there's six categories.

[00:35:48] We're each going to pick one thing per thing.

[00:35:51] Um, so we're going to get the bit, the best out of the way first.

[00:35:54] Let's, let's go for the big, big one.

[00:35:57] First, the red rider BB gun award, which is the best Marvel thing this year.

[00:36:04] And David, what you got?

[00:36:07] Well, no, I'm gonna let you go first.

[00:36:08] Let me go.

[00:36:09] I've got a couple I've, I've got multiple, but what was your big thing?

[00:36:13] Your best Marvel thing of the year.

[00:36:17] So I, is it the cheesy answer to say Deadpool Wolverine?

[00:36:23] No, it's not cheesy.

[00:36:24] I think it will.

[00:36:26] I think Deadpool Wolverine was my favorite.

[00:36:28] It just, there was so much about it that was so good.

[00:36:31] It, um, I describe it at, there's a part where you describe the MCU as like a, a plane

[00:36:42] in this, you know, phase three, like a rocket upward trajectory.

[00:36:47] Now we're like, oh, now we're free falling right now.

[00:36:50] And Deadpool Wolverine pulled us out of the, you know, the, you know, and then pulled us

[00:36:56] out of it.

[00:36:57] It's not a cheesy answer.

[00:36:59] I think it's a, that's a really, that was one of my two responses.

[00:37:06] Um, it was really good.

[00:37:08] Well, let me restate that.

[00:37:11] It was very fun, very graphic, very fan.

[00:37:18] Oh, it served the fans.

[00:37:21] They're just, yeah.

[00:37:23] No end.

[00:37:23] And actually that's, what's funny watching it on home release is some of those fan service

[00:37:27] moments.

[00:37:27] I noticed it, especially like when they introduced the team, right?

[00:37:31] When they introduced Electra and blade and Gambit, there are these moments that they wrote in

[00:37:38] to pause for, for clapping and for cheering.

[00:37:41] Oh, completely.

[00:37:43] Home release are a little bit awkward to watch now.

[00:37:46] Cause you're just like, yeah.

[00:37:51] Yeah.

[00:37:52] Yeah.

[00:37:52] Totally.

[00:37:52] Like, oh, look at it.

[00:37:54] I'm a makeup.

[00:37:55] Yeah.

[00:37:55] No, completely, completely.

[00:37:57] I think, um, if you're, if you're looking at it from the movie perspective, the phase was

[00:38:10] grim, right?

[00:38:12] And you knew, but you knew this was a guaranteed.

[00:38:16] Indeed.

[00:38:16] This was Marvel.

[00:38:17] Jesus.

[00:38:18] Bottled hit.

[00:38:19] Marvel.

[00:38:20] Jesus.

[00:38:21] There was no way this was not going to do well.

[00:38:24] Right.

[00:38:25] No way.

[00:38:26] Literally no way.

[00:38:27] Right.

[00:38:30] The plot and story.

[00:38:32] Not great.

[00:38:33] Oh, bad.

[00:38:34] Doesn't matter.

[00:38:35] Doesn't matter.

[00:38:36] Um, that's a pretty good best Marvel gift.

[00:38:42] Um, mine is.

[00:38:46] Different.

[00:38:47] Um, mine is a gift that, uh, I don't think.

[00:38:54] Like I was not expecting my Marvel gift will be Catherine Han and Agatha all along.

[00:39:04] Nice.

[00:39:05] Yeah.

[00:39:06] Dude.

[00:39:06] I was when, uh, when they said, Hey, we're making an Agatha show.

[00:39:14] I was like, dude, you're like smelling your own farts.

[00:39:17] Like, seriously?

[00:39:17] Like, that's what we're doing here.

[00:39:19] You know, like no one was clamoring for it.

[00:39:23] And they were going to work and make a white, a white vision.

[00:39:25] I'm like, all right, whatever.

[00:39:26] Um, and then it came out and then it was like, well done.

[00:39:36] The acting was really good.

[00:39:38] It pulled us in pretty quickly.

[00:39:41] Catherine Han was amazing.

[00:39:43] She was great.

[00:39:45] So great.

[00:39:46] So good.

[00:39:47] She was so great.

[00:39:50] And now I've been like really excited for it.

[00:39:52] And whereas before I was like, Oh, whatever.

[00:39:54] Like I'll watch this, but I'm not looking forward to it.

[00:39:57] She was awesome.

[00:39:58] And that was my surprise.

[00:40:00] Like every time you like Christmas time, you have a box.

[00:40:04] It'd be big, it'd be small.

[00:40:06] You're like, I don't know what this is going to be.

[00:40:08] Do I open the big one?

[00:40:09] Big ones kind of suck.

[00:40:11] Small ones.

[00:40:11] Small ones are always great.

[00:40:13] Right.

[00:40:14] It was great.

[00:40:14] It was a small box.

[00:40:15] It was great.

[00:40:17] Well, and I, I got to see Catherine Han in person.

[00:40:20] She, uh, while I was in the park, she did the candlelight processional show.

[00:40:25] The candlelight.

[00:40:26] She's awesome.

[00:40:27] Also, um, there's also a small, not a, not small, but like a, an element where she, I've

[00:40:36] seen her in the parks a couple of times, seen her interviews.

[00:40:39] She seems like super amped up.

[00:40:41] She's like, she bought in.

[00:40:43] Yeah, totally.

[00:40:44] And not in like a weird, like I'm getting a paycheck on my, I'm getting bought in.

[00:40:48] Oh yeah.

[00:40:48] But like, she appreciates the fanfare and the character.

[00:40:54] And I was on Instagram and she was in the parks just walking around and took a photo with

[00:41:00] her.

[00:41:00] So anyway.

[00:41:01] Like Tom, Tom Holland is, has always been part of the fan base.

[00:41:05] Right.

[00:41:05] Like very similar to, I think Catherine Hahn is getting there.

[00:41:09] Um, did you ever see the, uh, the video of, uh, Tom Holland at Disneyland?

[00:41:17] Oh, where he, where he dressed up as Spider-Man?

[00:41:20] Yeah.

[00:41:20] Yeah.

[00:41:21] So good.

[00:41:22] So good.

[00:41:23] So good.

[00:41:23] God, we're such nerves.

[00:41:25] Anyway, keep going.

[00:41:26] So that was our BB, Red Rider BB gun award.

[00:41:29] The Red Rider BB gun award.

[00:41:32] Best Marvel.

[00:41:32] Best Marvel gift.

[00:41:33] So moving on to socks, right?

[00:41:36] Either everybody gets socks for Christmas, but you know, usually they're, they're quality

[00:41:41] socks and you need socks.

[00:41:44] When you go to work, you need socks.

[00:41:46] Um, and so you maybe enjoy it maybe a little bit secretly.

[00:41:50] Uh, so this award is for a project that not everybody was excited for, but you liked it.

[00:41:59] You, you either, or maybe you didn't enjoy it.

[00:42:02] Maybe it was something where you were just like, ah, it's kind of still sucks.

[00:42:07] Um, so David, I went first in Red Rider BB gun.

[00:42:13] I'm going to let you go first on this one.

[00:42:14] Okay.

[00:42:16] Because we can't always be a hundred percent positive.

[00:42:19] I interpreted.

[00:42:20] So you get a sock gift and socks can be great.

[00:42:24] Like, oh, cool.

[00:42:25] I can use some socks and be like, I don't need socks.

[00:42:27] Um, my sock award is the announcement for Avengers Doomsday that Robert Downey Jr.

[00:42:37] will be appearing as Dr.

[00:42:39] Doom.

[00:42:39] That's my sock award.

[00:42:40] Like they need this.

[00:42:42] Didn't want it.

[00:42:44] Yeah, that was definitely, I like, I know there's a lot of people that are excited and

[00:42:53] I, I am disappointed in that, in that.

[00:42:58] Um, I think that I don't like it when Marvel is safe.

[00:43:04] I don't like it when they take the safe bet.

[00:43:07] Um, that's just not my favorite projects.

[00:43:09] And this, this feels, uh, everything surrounding, I'm going to like it.

[00:43:17] I'm going to enjoy the movie, but it just, everything is surrounding Doomsday just keeps

[00:43:23] coming up as like, everything feels like there's just a safety net under it.

[00:43:29] Yeah.

[00:43:33] Um, like Doom could have been anyone.

[00:43:36] Yeah.

[00:43:37] Didn't have to be, um, I mean.

[00:43:41] Robert Downey Jr.

[00:43:42] Yeah.

[00:43:42] Yeah, it didn't have to be.

[00:43:43] Like, uh, don't need Chris Evans back.

[00:43:47] But I get the part where they're like, hey, we've got to play the hits and we've got the

[00:43:51] same directors back.

[00:43:52] And I'm sure it will be great.

[00:43:55] Yeah.

[00:43:55] And so I have to like suspend my own kind of cynicism and be like, all right, whatever.

[00:44:01] Um, I'm sure it'll be really good.

[00:44:03] But at the announcement, I just felt like this was a cheap cash grab.

[00:44:09] Yeah.

[00:44:10] Right.

[00:44:10] Like let's bring.

[00:44:12] I thought it was a joke when I first saw the headline.

[00:44:14] Did you really?

[00:44:15] Yeah.

[00:44:16] I was like, no, but then like, yeah, then it was, it was real obviously.

[00:44:21] And, um, yeah, it feels like a cash grab.

[00:44:25] It feels, feels like doomsday is just the greatest hits.

[00:44:30] I think, um, I, I will be, um, I'm cautiously optimistic.

[00:44:35] They will figure out how to blend it into the multiverse that they started.

[00:44:40] Right.

[00:44:41] Yeah.

[00:44:41] Which they're not going to finish off with Kang.

[00:44:43] They're going to like veer in a different direction.

[00:44:45] You know, kudos to them for like having to like pivot onto a different storyline.

[00:44:53] Um, I'm cool with, I don't know.

[00:44:57] I, I, I can foresee, you know, old cap and new cap and like having some fun interaction.

[00:45:05] Like, I think it could be fun.

[00:45:07] I hope it's just not like this, like sad, not sad.

[00:45:12] This is very like, um, uh, let's just bring back the hits for the sake of the nostalgia and the box office.

[00:45:25] 100%.

[00:45:25] So 100%.

[00:45:26] Well, I went a different direction with the socks award.

[00:45:29] I went with something that I enjoy, uh, but was not widely anticipated.

[00:45:33] I did.

[00:45:34] I'm going to give this award to Spidey and his amazing friends.

[00:45:38] Season three.

[00:45:40] Um, I, I watch a lot of Spidey and his amazing friends.

[00:45:44] Uh, it is a very frequent contributor at our house.

[00:45:50] Um, and season three, uh, they brought in, um, white tiger and reptile reptile showed up in season two, but has been a major part of season three.

[00:46:03] Um, and the Spidey Spidey gang.

[00:46:07] So Spidey, uh, ghost spider and miles Morales, who they call spin on the show.

[00:46:13] Um, they got, um, they got dinosaur powers.

[00:46:18] They were able to transform into dinosaurs during season three, which was pretty fun.

[00:46:24] Um, yeah.

[00:46:26] So I, I, I, it's the dad pick, right?

[00:46:32] Like I, yes, I am the father of a toddler.

[00:46:35] And so yes, the preschool show is something that I am probably uniquely, uh, positioned to pick.

[00:46:45] So, so walk me through like how long is an episode?

[00:46:48] How many episodes in a season?

[00:46:50] Like, um, it's like, I want to say like 15 minutes, a episode.

[00:46:57] Okay.

[00:46:57] The, the episodes on Disney plus, I think how, if I remember right, there there's, I watched so many of these shows and they all have a little bit different formats.

[00:47:06] I think the, the format for Spidey and his amazing friends is that like the episode that's on Disney plus is actually two episodes.

[00:47:17] So it's a 30 minute chunk, but it's like two stories.

[00:47:22] Okay.

[00:47:23] Um, but it's like, it's traditional cartoons.

[00:47:27] So like, you know, 50 some odd episodes per season or something like that.

[00:47:32] I am, I watched as a child, as a child of seventies, eighties, I watched an abundance of cartoons, Warner brothers, like so many things.

[00:47:45] Um, knowing me, do you think I would enjoy it?

[00:47:50] Probably not.

[00:47:51] I, I like, no, it's, it is very kitty.

[00:47:56] It's very, it's very much.

[00:48:00] I would say it serves very well to get kids into Marvel, like get them started early, which it totally has for Ted.

[00:48:08] His, his whole Christmas situation is all, uh, very Marvel themed.

[00:48:16] Um, his, his birthday was almost Spidey.

[00:48:22] We ended up doing, uh, Taylor Swift, but, um, yeah, he, he loves, loves, loves, loves Spidey.

[00:48:32] And so, um, and, and I love to see that too.

[00:48:36] Like I, I started, I mentioned, I started playing the Spider-Man two video game.

[00:48:41] I'm not allowed to play anything that has combat in it because he gets real serious when I do that.

[00:48:46] And Lisa becomes the enemy, um, is she like craving all of a sudden?

[00:48:53] Yeah, exactly.

[00:48:54] Um, so I, I, it's funny.

[00:48:58] I actually started playing and there's like some non-combat missions where you have to like go take photos and stuff.

[00:49:03] Yeah.

[00:49:03] Yeah.

[00:49:03] I've, I've like saved those so that I can play them when Ted's around so he can watch me play Spider-Man.

[00:49:09] He loves Spider-Man.

[00:49:10] He'll, um, he'll see like, we even like took pictures of Spider-Man when we were in the parks and sent him back to him.

[00:49:19] He wasn't with us this trip and he freaked out about it.

[00:49:23] He, he loves it.

[00:49:24] Yeah.

[00:49:24] It's, it, it's really cool to see that blossom.

[00:49:28] And, and it's cool that Marvel has provided that through like Spidey and his amazing friends.

[00:49:33] And there's a few other shows.

[00:49:35] Um, I think there's like Avengers super buddies or something like that, that we also watched.

[00:49:41] Um, but it, I will say the animation is horrible on Spidey and his amazing friends.

[00:49:47] It's like 2000s video game.

[00:49:50] Um, and none of the, the writing is in English.

[00:49:54] All of the writing like on the walls and stuff is in like fake language, which I think is just so that they can like dub over it and send it off to other countries without like a barrier there.

[00:50:04] I'm in, I'm in.

[00:50:05] Yeah.

[00:50:07] Um, but yeah, I can't wait to, can't wait until we review it on the main show.

[00:50:15] Oh, um, but yeah, I mean, it makes it so at this point, my son recognizes Rhino cause Rhino is a major player in it.

[00:50:22] He recognizes Gobby.

[00:50:24] So Goblin, Green Goblin.

[00:50:26] Uh, he recognizes Iron Man cause Iron Man shows up in it and actually Iron Man's getting his own version of this show next, next year, which is fine.

[00:50:34] Um, he recognizes Spidey, Ghost Spider and spin.

[00:50:41] Uh, so yeah, it's a, it's a blast.

[00:50:45] Let's see here.

[00:50:46] Let's move on to the fruitcake award.

[00:50:49] So this is something that most people disliked, but you enjoyed it.

[00:50:55] Right.

[00:50:56] So, so a little bit different from socks where like socks was like, no one was really excited about this, but you know what?

[00:51:01] You enjoyed it.

[00:51:01] Or maybe, you know, no one is excited, expected it, but you hated it.

[00:51:05] This is the, like, most people are like, no, this sucks, but you, you kind of liked it.

[00:51:11] Um, I'm going to go first and maybe we have the same answer here.

[00:51:14] There, there's, there's, I think an obvious choice here to me at least, um, which is Echo.

[00:51:21] Echo.

[00:51:21] I really loved Echo.

[00:51:23] I thought it was, it was violent in the best ways, in the appropriate ways, right?

[00:51:29] Without violence for violence sake.

[00:51:31] Um, it was touching at times.

[00:51:35] It was really cool from a representation lens.

[00:51:38] Um, the story was just solid.

[00:51:41] It was just a solid self-contained, you know, just like, like all of the old school one shot comics.

[00:51:49] It was just kind of a open and shut storyline, which I really liked.

[00:51:56] Um, and it was more mature than a lot of the Marvel stuff we've had.

[00:52:02] Mm hmm.

[00:52:04] Um, and it's really funny because I'm realizing back to back, I took the preschool show and then I took the first Marvel thing.

[00:52:12] I, I went from the first R rated Marvel movie to the preschool show to the first TV, MA, uh, Marvel TV show.

[00:52:20] Do we need to talk?

[00:52:21] Do we need to talk?

[00:52:22] Um, this is my cry for help.

[00:52:26] Yeah.

[00:52:26] Like we, we need to, uh, tweak this word for next year.

[00:52:29] Cause it was only one choice.

[00:52:30] It was Echo, right?

[00:52:31] Like, um, the much maligned, I supposed to come out 2023 a couple of times at one point in time.

[00:52:39] They're all going to be released.

[00:52:40] We were convinced it was going to suck.

[00:52:41] If you go back and listen to our, our monthly bugles from like November, December, we were like, this is going to suck.

[00:52:47] It's been punted.

[00:52:49] And, and the reason we thought it was going to suck is because it had been moved so many times.

[00:52:54] Well, they were going to one point.

[00:52:56] They're like, Hey, we're going to release this like the Wednesday or Friday after Thanksgiving.

[00:52:59] You're like, Oh, you're just dumping it.

[00:53:01] It like, right.

[00:53:03] Um, it was, it was not great, but it was way better than expected.

[00:53:10] It was, it was, it was, you could feel the, um, you could feel like the heart behind it and what they were trying to do.

[00:53:24] And no, Echo is not like a, like a big famous superhero, but you appreciated the character.

[00:53:31] You appreciate the culture, uh, watching it.

[00:53:35] It was this weird kind of gritty mix.

[00:53:40] It was like, not, not for Ted.

[00:53:44] Um, but, but it was like, I enjoyed it.

[00:53:47] It was way better than expected.

[00:53:49] I, I don't think that we'll ever make another one.

[00:53:51] This fall under the, um, spotlight.

[00:53:55] Right.

[00:53:55] Is that this?

[00:53:56] Yep.

[00:53:56] Yep.

[00:53:57] Uh, but I would hope that Echo shows up at something else.

[00:54:01] Maybe a daredevil.

[00:54:03] Right.

[00:54:03] Yeah.

[00:54:04] You could see that.

[00:54:05] Yeah.

[00:54:05] I'd be down for that.

[00:54:07] Absolutely.

[00:54:08] Yeah.

[00:54:08] Daredevil is going to deal with, uh, Kingpin.

[00:54:11] So, you know, obviously Echo has a direct line there.

[00:54:15] So, um, and daredevil showed up in Echo as well.

[00:54:21] Yep.

[00:54:22] Yep.

[00:54:24] Uh, anything else on the fruitcake award?

[00:54:27] Anybody, any, I mean, obviously that was the one pick, but do you have any other?

[00:54:31] That's the main one.

[00:54:32] Like, unless you change the fruitcake award to like something that, um, you despise that

[00:54:37] you make your family eat, unless you make that award.

[00:54:40] Like, um, so moving on to the stocking stuffer award.

[00:54:45] So we're going to disqualify the big thing from the year, right?

[00:54:49] We're going to disqualify Deadpool and Wolverine.

[00:54:52] It's not a stocking stuffer.

[00:54:53] That's, that's the big gift.

[00:54:55] Right.

[00:54:55] Um, but what was something that you loved?

[00:54:58] This can be anything from the Marvel year that isn't necessarily like on the level of Deadpool

[00:55:04] Wolverine, but maybe something, you know, something else.

[00:55:07] I went in a different direction.

[00:55:10] Okay.

[00:55:10] I went with the white elephant award, the gift that you get that you don't want.

[00:55:20] So you're like, oh man, uh, how do I pawn the header?

[00:55:24] Hat this up, pawn this off someone else.

[00:55:26] And this was for me, the ongoing drama and ultimate postponement and cancellation of blade.

[00:55:34] And that was my white elephant award of like, there's only going to be one blade.

[00:55:39] Oh man.

[00:55:40] Yeah.

[00:55:41] So that was my award.

[00:55:42] Like it's not going to happen in its own standalone movie.

[00:55:46] Blade will probably show up almost, almost certainly doomsday or something else like in a, in a appearance or team up thing.

[00:55:55] But that was the, um, the ongoing promise gift of like, Hey, it's coming out 2025 by 2025 means it's not going to come out 2025.

[00:56:06] And then just disappeared.

[00:56:07] You still see articles, um, and news pop up mostly because of the Feige announcement.

[00:56:16] I think in October where he said that even though the movie was postponed, blade will still show up.

[00:56:25] I don't know if that means a movie.

[00:56:26] I don't know what that means.

[00:56:28] Avengers campus.

[00:56:29] I don't know.

[00:56:30] I don't know.

[00:56:31] That means in like the Spidey show.

[00:56:33] I have no idea.

[00:56:35] I don't know.

[00:56:35] Like that was my, that was my, um, that was my stocking award.

[00:56:40] What was your stocking award?

[00:56:42] Uh, my stocking award is going to go to X-Men 97.

[00:56:47] Um, I think we would be remiss to not talk about this in a year review where we're including the best stuff.

[00:56:53] X-Men 97 was so good.

[00:56:55] So not your, not your, not your cold award.

[00:56:58] No, it is not my cold award.

[00:57:01] Um, X-Men 97 felt like a continuation of the appropriate continuation of the nineties X-Men show.

[00:57:12] Um, it was just, it was so, so just purely, purely good.

[00:57:21] And, and it, it could have probably qualified for like the socks award.

[00:57:26] Um, although I think it was a little bit more anticipated.

[00:57:29] I think there were a lot of people that were excited for it.

[00:57:32] Um, but I really, really enjoyed it and I'm so excited that we're getting more of it.

[00:57:39] Um, I think it's a really interesting place to explore the X-Men more animation suits them really well.

[00:57:46] The nineties setting sets suits them really well.

[00:57:50] Yep.

[00:57:51] Um, unfortunately some of the themes that, that are just as prevalent in a nineties setting are still prevalent today.

[00:58:02] Um, but yeah, I, I think possibly.

[00:58:12] X-Men 97 might've been X-Men 97, I think was the best Disney plus TV show this, this year.

[00:58:23] It could have been met best Marvel gift.

[00:58:26] I thought about it for a second.

[00:58:28] Right.

[00:58:29] Um, cause it pleased it went to the, it, it, um, like, like, yeah, distant plus show.

[00:58:39] Great.

[00:58:39] You've, you've got this anchor thing, which you could easily recreate for future seasons.

[00:58:46] You have the, the homage to the prior show that brings the fans who are like fans of the prior show.

[00:58:55] Um, it brings in the X-Men for the first time, right?

[00:59:03] Yeah.

[00:59:03] First time, uh, Disney has touched the X-Men.

[00:59:06] Yep.

[00:59:07] And so you could see it like this could be the, just the entryway into like something that's way larger.

[00:59:13] So I thought about, I like, it's a great call for stocking.

[00:59:16] I thought of it for like Marvel gift of the year.

[00:59:21] Um, in some ways I think it's better than Deadpool and Wolverine, but.

[00:59:27] That's where I stopped short was of it being the best Marvel thing of the year.

[00:59:33] I like it.

[00:59:35] It's different than Deadpool and Wolverine, right?

[00:59:37] Deadpool and Wolverine.

[00:59:38] They're different scales, right?

[00:59:40] Like, right.

[00:59:41] There are different scales, but, um, but if X-Men 97 is more cursing, I I'm in.

[00:59:48] It's fine.

[00:59:49] There you go.

[00:59:50] F words.

[00:59:51] So there you go.

[00:59:53] Uh, let's see here.

[00:59:55] Let's move on to the coal award.

[00:59:57] So if you're a naughty little boy, you get coal.

[01:00:01] Um, which is the worst gift.

[01:00:04] Although, you know, sometimes with the way the economy is sometimes need some coal.

[01:00:10] Um, but, but yeah.

[01:00:15] So David, what was your worst Marvel thing of the year?

[01:00:22] Um, I know mine.

[01:00:27] Mine was the February gift, the Valentine's day movie.

[01:00:34] I knew this.

[01:00:36] Go off King.

[01:00:39] Madam web, madam web, which you've not seen.

[01:00:46] Have you?

[01:00:46] I have not.

[01:00:47] Okay.

[01:00:48] I think it's on Netflix.

[01:00:49] Yeah.

[01:00:51] It has an 11% rating on tomato.

[01:00:55] Oh, meter.

[01:00:58] Pete Travers.

[01:01:00] Good morning, America.

[01:01:01] ABC news says, quote, God awful is too weak.

[01:01:05] Take a word to describe everything that's wrong with the super diva cash grab.

[01:01:12] Madam web.

[01:01:16] The real culprit here is the greed manifested by studio suits who keep hawking cheap knockoffs.

[01:01:26] Madam web feels like a random collection of half baked ideas thrown into the air and loud land with the cynical assumption that they'll, that we'll buy any lazy hack work.

[01:01:38] That is Spider-Man adjacent.

[01:01:41] Kill me now.

[01:01:43] End quote.

[01:01:44] Whoa.

[01:01:46] So that is my lump.

[01:01:48] That's my lump.

[01:01:49] Cole.

[01:01:50] I do.

[01:01:51] I do not recommend you ever watch it.

[01:01:52] Not even on like a, like a laundry day.

[01:01:55] Like don't eat.

[01:01:56] Don't do it.

[01:01:57] It's so bad.

[01:01:59] It's so bad.

[01:02:01] Yeah, that, that is, that is fair.

[01:02:05] And that's, I'm, I'm struggling a little bit with the lump of Cole award.

[01:02:09] Um, because I think, you know, the media has been pop positive for the most part that I've watched.

[01:02:16] I haven't watched any of the Sony stuff this year.

[01:02:19] Um, that's where your look hole is.

[01:02:21] Oh, it is.

[01:02:23] It is.

[01:02:23] Craven.

[01:02:24] Holy cow.

[01:02:25] Wow.

[01:02:26] Yeah.

[01:02:26] Craven.

[01:02:27] Um, and maybe, you know, I, I will take this site unseen.

[01:02:33] I'll go ahead because I think this is the best I've got.

[01:02:36] Um, cause you know, I don't, I don't know that I want to call like the boat of Mayo situation.

[01:02:44] My lump of Cole.

[01:02:45] Um, I think it's unfortunate, but I think there's still more to be seen there and see how that one plays out.

[01:02:52] Um, so instead I'm, I'm going to take the failure of the Sony villains first as my lump of Cole.

[01:03:03] Just the overall, you know, it's a great call.

[01:03:07] Madam, Madam web was a weird choice for a movie anyways.

[01:03:12] And then to put Dakota Johnson in it.

[01:03:15] And then also to not know what direction you're going with, um, how tied into Spider-Man it's going to be.

[01:03:25] And you end up overdubbing the villain, like all of the villains lines.

[01:03:29] And then you move on to Venom, which by all accounts is fine, but not great from everything I've read, which is unfortunate because that movie, that series started off so strong.

[01:03:44] Um, the Tom Hardy villa Venoms started off so strong with that first Venom.

[01:03:51] The first one made like $850 million.

[01:03:54] That's a blockbuster.

[01:03:56] Absolutely.

[01:03:57] Absolutely.

[01:03:58] And then it's just the second one with carnage just fell apart.

[01:04:02] And, and then, uh, by all accounts I've heard this, this last one is just still falling apart.

[01:04:11] Um, which sucks because you introduced Noel.

[01:04:15] And so you, you blew Noel on, on a bad deal.

[01:04:20] Um, and then Craven man, like Craven.

[01:04:23] Craven I heard, honestly, I heard Godfather two kind of, I'm kidding.

[01:04:29] It's terrible.

[01:04:31] I listened to podcasts and they were like complete garbage and this killed the spider verse.

[01:04:37] And they, they thought that they would save the, the villains verse.

[01:04:41] I've seen the pictures of the, like the rhino that they brought in for it.

[01:04:46] That, that looks awful.

[01:04:47] And I'm just, I heard that was part of the best part of the movie.

[01:04:51] And I'm just so disappointed, man.

[01:04:53] I'm just like, I want it.

[01:04:56] I want it better.

[01:04:57] I wanted a sinister six universe.

[01:04:59] I want, I liked, I liked the idea that was kicking around at one point that like they were

[01:05:05] going to, they were going to ride that wave.

[01:05:09] This was around when Venom came out, right?

[01:05:12] Oh, we've got an up wave.

[01:05:13] And then, um, Spider-Man no way home comes out and all people are back interested in, um,

[01:05:21] Andrew Garfield, Spider-Man and, and could Sony do something with that?

[01:05:25] And then there was kind of an updraft of like, oh, maybe we'll do amazing Spider-Man three

[01:05:31] and it'll be in the universe of these villains.

[01:05:36] And, and that was part of the issue with Madam Webb was they wanted to tie it into something

[01:05:40] there, right?

[01:05:41] They wanted to tie it into Andrew Garfield's amazing Spider-Man, but then last minute decision

[01:05:46] decided not to.

[01:05:47] And so the, some of those plot elements ended up being weird and whatever.

[01:05:53] And that could have been really cool.

[01:05:58] Um, and ultimately it's just ends up being just a fumbled bag all the way down.

[01:06:06] Yeah.

[01:06:07] I think, um, I think the plan to introduce each individual sinister six character movie by

[01:06:16] movie was a mistake.

[01:06:17] Yeah.

[01:06:18] It's not, it's not the Avengers, right?

[01:06:20] No, but if you want to do it like a suicide squad kind of thing and see what resonates

[01:06:26] and then you can pull out, oh, Hey, guess who tested well?

[01:06:30] Craven.

[01:06:31] And, you know, this person, this character, that person like Rhino or Electro or Sandman or

[01:06:39] whomever, like, and then pull them out and get them in their own movies.

[01:06:42] But them creating this, um, I think they should have done it in hindsight, like being toward

[01:06:53] 20 rather than creating a bunch of anti-heroes, just lean in the, into the full villain thing,

[01:07:01] right?

[01:07:01] Like just do like you take Craven.

[01:07:06] And he, you know, like I'm not seeing the movie.

[01:07:09] I will probably see it out of some deep seed of regret because it streams and I'm like,

[01:07:15] all right, pop this on.

[01:07:16] Do you want to watch this?

[01:07:17] Sure.

[01:07:18] Um, but could have been a cool, true villain.

[01:07:23] And at some point in time, like face off against Spider-Man, but by being this weird anti-hero,

[01:07:31] you're kind of in this middle land and it doesn't really work for anyone, you know?

[01:07:36] Yeah.

[01:07:37] I mean, Spider-Man's, Spider-Man's villains are some of the best villains in the Marvel stable.

[01:07:42] However, they are the best because they act against Spider-Man so well.

[01:07:52] They are not, they are not the best solo character.

[01:07:59] Oh yeah.

[01:08:00] Standalone?

[01:08:01] No.

[01:08:01] Yeah.

[01:08:01] Agreed.

[01:08:02] Yeah.

[01:08:03] Um, so yeah, I'm going to give my Cole award to the Sony villains universe.

[01:08:12] Well, good news.

[01:08:13] We don't have to worry about that again because that will never happen.

[01:08:18] They're done making it.

[01:08:20] She gone.

[01:08:21] So, um, so yeah, then let's do a little bit of self-service here for our sixth gift,

[01:08:26] sixth gift, the Rudolph award.

[01:08:28] I don't have any way to tie this to the, to what, what the award is for, but it's a fun

[01:08:33] name.

[01:08:34] It's Christmassy.

[01:08:34] And here we are.

[01:08:35] Uh, so we're a podcast.

[01:08:39] We've been recording.

[01:08:40] We will, uh, we'll hit our second pot of nursery next year, uh, for our year in, um,

[01:08:47] preview show.

[01:08:48] That'll be on, uh, around our second pot of nursery, which is wild.

[01:08:52] Second or third?

[01:08:56] Second.

[01:08:57] Cause we started Iron Man three released on, uh, the third of January in 2023.

[01:09:05] Okay.

[01:09:06] I trust you.

[01:09:09] And so we, we actually two years ago, right around this time, we recorded that episode,

[01:09:15] I think.

[01:09:17] Um, it was, it was a crappy test episode too.

[01:09:21] Oh yeah.

[01:09:22] There is that.

[01:09:23] I, we should release the civil war episode at some point.

[01:09:26] Please don't.

[01:09:28] Um, but, but so we've had a year of episodes.

[01:09:32] Uh, I'm going to skip over all the monthly bugles.

[01:09:35] Um, but I, just to give you, give you a quick rundown of what we released this year, the same

[01:09:41] way we did with Marvel.

[01:09:42] Uh, so we had Ant-Man, we had the phase two wrap up show.

[01:09:46] We had Captain America, Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy volume two, which was actually our first two parter.

[01:09:55] We released that in two parts.

[01:09:57] Um, because we could not contain it to one episode, uh, Spider-Man Homecoming, which also got released in two parts.

[01:10:06] Thor Ragnarok was boring enough that we did not, we only talked about it for one episode.

[01:10:11] Then our first three parter, uh, Black Panther, which we released, uh, three parts.

[01:10:16] That was, that was a big one.

[01:10:18] Um, we also had our special report with tribe from, uh, the R slash Bill Simmons podcast.

[01:10:26] Um, then we get into Avengers infinity war with Eric as our, as our guest two parter there.

[01:10:34] Uh, Ant-Man and the Wasp was a one parter.

[01:10:37] Captain Marvel was a two parter with Dan from the, uh, Supreme Resort and scraping the vault and Bowie splitting.

[01:10:46] And then Avengers Endgame, which, uh, is a four part episode, which we knew, we knew that was going to be a big one always.

[01:10:54] Uh, but it was our first and hopefully our only four part.

[01:10:57] So those are our 2024 releases.

[01:11:04] David, what is your favorite release from 2024?

[01:11:12] Oh man.

[01:11:13] Uh, this is a tough one.

[01:11:15] It's like picking your favorite child.

[01:11:17] It really is.

[01:11:18] It really is.

[01:11:19] I, I enjoy all the team up stuff cause it's always a bunch of fun nonsense.

[01:11:24] So the episode with Dan was really fun.

[01:11:27] Uh, the episode with Eric was great as well.

[01:11:32] Very long.

[01:11:33] Uh, kudos to everyone gets through.

[01:11:35] For me, it's Black Panther.

[01:11:37] Uh, I feel like we spent a lot of time focused on the, you know, like what really wanting to like give homage to the episode, to the movie.

[01:11:51] Uh, the movie, uh, the movie meant a lot to me.

[01:11:54] It meant a lot to a lot of other folks.

[01:11:57] And, um, I just, I felt like we really did it as best we could to give it service and to give homage to various creatives.

[01:12:10] So it's not just the actors, but it's the costume designers.

[01:12:12] It's the, the people are doing the score.

[01:12:16] Um, it's such a rich movie that, uh, that in doing the episode got me to appreciate it more in a weird way.

[01:12:25] So.

[01:12:26] Yeah.

[01:12:27] I, I wholeheartedly agree.

[01:12:29] I think, I think Black Panther was such a good episode and it's not our funniest episode.

[01:12:34] Nope.

[01:12:35] By no, not much humor at all.

[01:12:37] Like, um, I think it's some of our more deep content.

[01:12:42] I, I did a comic.

[01:12:44] There's a lot of, I was going to say a lot of comic stuff in there too.

[01:12:47] Right.

[01:12:47] Um, which was really fun.

[01:12:49] Um, like you say, giving a lot of honor to, to the cultural significance of, of that movie, which I think can't be understated.

[01:12:59] Um, I, I think we, I think we approach, I was really proud of those episodes.

[01:13:07] Yeah.

[01:13:08] It was really good.

[01:13:09] Um, I, I am going to give my, my award for the best episode of the year though, to probably our, one of our funniest episodes.

[01:13:17] Um, or sets of episodes, I guess, which is the captain Marvel episode.

[01:13:22] Um, the nonsense that was that episode with Dan complete opposite end of the spectrum.

[01:13:29] Right.

[01:13:29] We, we, on one end of the spectrum.

[01:13:31] You think so?

[01:13:32] Yeah.

[01:13:33] Yeah.

[01:13:33] There's black Panther over here.

[01:13:35] That was, it wasn't somber by any.

[01:13:38] No, it's solemn.

[01:13:38] It's like serious.

[01:13:39] It's like, you're taking it all into consideration and like, you're giving homage and due respect.

[01:13:45] And then on the other end was captain Marvel.

[01:13:47] And, and I mean, we did, we did work hard to, cause that, that similarly had some big cultural impacts, right?

[01:13:54] It's the first woman solo hero.

[01:13:57] And we did try and give some, some credit to that.

[01:14:01] Unfortunate timing on its release.

[01:14:03] Um, that was a difficult day that it was released.

[01:14:08] I would encourage anyone who has not listened to it since release to maybe go back and listen to those episodes.

[01:14:14] Yeah.

[01:14:15] When you're in a different mindset.

[01:14:16] Um, because the Tuesday, the first Tuesday in November where it released was a tough day.

[01:14:24] Um.

[01:14:24] Wasn't great.

[01:14:27] Our Cajun accents were off the hook though.

[01:14:32] Oh my God.

[01:14:33] Um, and Dan's, Dan's frosted tips from the nineties were so good.

[01:14:38] Oh my God.

[01:14:39] Um, so yeah, I, I would definitely, and, and we did uncover some things, right?

[01:14:47] We uncovered some, some really interesting cultural parallels that, that were actually, I, I was surprised at the depth that we got with some of it.

[01:14:56] Um, particularly some of the stuff around, um, the similarities to like the,

[01:15:02] the, the Israel Palestinian conflict.

[01:15:05] Um, things like that, that I didn't expect for us to necessarily uncover, um, in that episode, but, but it was really cool to just to discover.

[01:15:15] Um, and it was just a fun time to record.

[01:15:17] Now I do want to give special shout outs to Eric.

[01:15:20] Eric joined us on two episodes this year, both the infinity war and then end game.

[01:15:27] And he stuck with us for six hours.

[01:15:30] No, Eric, Eric is the face MVP for sure.

[01:15:33] Like putting up with us for silencing dogs for dogs calling nine one one.

[01:15:40] Dogs call.

[01:15:41] No, no.

[01:15:42] And watch for all the nonsense.

[01:15:46] Um, no, yeah, for sure.

[01:15:48] Like the, the tan one when it was, could be kind of wild.

[01:15:52] It was going to be kind of out there, be a little loose, very fun.

[01:15:57] Um, there are moments where I live.

[01:16:00] We listened to it a couple of times and cracked up still like a immature child.

[01:16:06] I am cause I'm easily amused, but yeah.

[01:16:08] Wow.

[01:16:09] Yeah.

[01:16:10] So, um, so yeah, those were our, uh, awards.

[01:16:15] Gentlemen, your awards are your, your, uh, statues are in the mail.

[01:16:19] Um, you should be getting this soon.

[01:16:21] You can add that to your resumes.

[01:16:23] So, and then look forward next month to our year in preview where we're going to talk about,

[01:16:28] you know, the, the Marvel trailers, the Marvel, um, things that are coming out in 2025.

[01:16:38] Um, all of that, that's all going to be next month.

[01:16:41] So look forward to that next month.

[01:16:43] Um, I think David, the last segment is yours with our, uh, the month.

[01:16:50] Ah, okay.

[01:16:52] Let's do this.

[01:16:53] Sorry.

[01:16:54] It's fine.

[01:16:54] Um, a lot of stuff has happened.

[01:17:00] Um, MCU, a lot of MCU stuff happens various months.

[01:17:06] December is a kind of a dry month, if you will.

[01:17:10] So in the month of December, uh, December one, 2017 agents of shield season five, there

[01:17:19] was a show runaway seasons two and three, which debuted in 2018, 2019, which I never

[01:17:25] saw.

[01:17:26] No way home reform.

[01:17:28] And then it's like been dropped, which sucks.

[01:17:30] Yeah.

[01:17:31] Okay.

[01:17:32] Um, no way home, which I just rewatched this past weekend, December 17th.

[01:17:38] So literally three years ago.

[01:17:41] What if like the big bangers, I think, what if seasons, uh, two and three.

[01:17:47] So they're right around like kind of Christmas, Christmas day ish kind of releases in 2023 and

[01:17:54] 24 and the big one, December 2009, Disney bought a little startup company called Marvel

[01:18:05] entertainment for $4 billion, which is a billion less than they made on infinity war and end

[01:18:14] game in those two movies.

[01:18:16] That's that's wild.

[01:18:19] That is wild.

[01:18:21] Well, David, I genuinely, it's been a great year.

[01:18:25] Your review would be incomplete without me saying that.

[01:18:28] And I appreciate, I appreciate you, David.

[01:18:31] I appreciate all of our listeners for sure.

[01:18:34] For sure.

[01:18:34] I appreciate all of our listeners who've been here with us.

[01:18:37] Make sure you tell a friend about us.

[01:18:39] That is the best way we can grow.

[01:18:41] Um, you know, we, we try and do advertising every once in a while or whatever.

[01:18:45] And we really, you know, podcasts don't grow that way.

[01:18:48] Podcasts grow by saying, Hey, go listen to these guys.

[01:18:51] They, they have a good show.

[01:18:53] So tell your friends, um, let them know, um, listen to the other shows on the network.

[01:19:01] We've got, uh, Supreme resort, uh, who are finishing up hotels.

[01:19:07] I believe.

[01:19:08] I think the, the hotel series has been great.

[01:19:12] Uh, they, they, they think nobody loves it, but I love it.

[01:19:16] Oh, it's great.

[01:19:19] I, I literally have watched, I've literally walked those streets and I've thought about

[01:19:25] all those places.

[01:19:26] So, yeah.

[01:19:27] Um, so go listen to Supreme resort, uh, scraping the vault is in their dealers choice season.

[01:19:33] So they just watched, um, the, uh, Disney Christmas Carol, Mickey's Christmas Carol.

[01:19:42] And I think they're about to watch, well, if Asher is to believe they're about to watch

[01:19:47] a Mr.

[01:19:48] T video from the eighties.

[01:19:51] Really?

[01:19:52] That's what, that's what Dan put in his proof of concept for Asher.

[01:19:56] So, um, be still my heart.

[01:19:59] And then let's see who else do we have?

[01:20:02] Boyna Vista boys are working their way through the boyna Vista boys actually, I think are about
