[00:00:30] It's time for the show that brings the magic right to your speakers EarzUp!

[00:00:42] What's going on everybody? EarzUp Podcast. We are back with another great show. You know, that's what we do. It's kind of what we do around here. We just make really great shows all the time constantly.

[00:00:54] And this is going to be a different one. This is one like we have been done in a while where we're talking about something current, not a history.

[00:01:01] Whoa! Oh no! Okay, yeah Eric doesn't know how to react to that. Oh dear!

[00:01:06] Ah! Ah! I burned the curve of it! I can't do it! Yeah. So it's kind of fun.

[00:01:12] Well that's great. What are we, what curve are we talking about? High prices or the way that Bob Eiger's ruining the parks?

[00:01:20] No, it's not my show. No, it's not. I am going to give five spring things that you can do at Disneyland.

[00:01:29] Oh! And actually there's an extra one. You have a six. So already you're coming out saying that you're lying.

[00:01:36] Yeah, this is called Clickbait. Oh! You hear that podcast? Yeah. Clickbait.

[00:01:41] Five spring things to do at Disneyland. Plus one that you never guess.

[00:01:46] The third one will melt your brain from the outside. Where can I click this?

[00:01:52] The fourth one will make you remove your own nose with a spoon. Yeah, that'll be cool. I'm looking forward to that.

[00:01:59] Well that's great. I like things. My sister-in-law is actually in the parks right now.

[00:02:04] They went down my niece was like yeah, I'm kind of just, you know, I'm probably going to see my cousins are going to be in Disneyland

[00:02:10] and my sister-in-law, Keely. She's like oh, maybe I'll go with you. They're going out for one day just that was yesterday.

[00:02:17] They were the park yesterday, right? Wednesday. One day. Today.

[00:02:21] Today. That's yesterday. Today's Thursday. Yeah, they were on today. Oh, she told me yesterday. Anyway, I guess we're driving now. What are we?

[00:02:27] Driving up for the bear for one day. One singular day. One park only $189.

[00:02:34] Insane. Yeah, that is it. And then I just saw a news article where it was like Florida residents can get a ticket to the Magic Kingdom for $59.

[00:02:44] And take why don't we ever have deals like that? For $59. Oh, because if they go like 100 days in a row or something, that's not like one day one park.

[00:02:52] Yeah, one ticket is $59. I got a deal just for the Magic Kingdom. Yeah, I know it's but good for them, I guess. I guess their magic.

[00:03:00] I guess they're going to land. I guess that's it. Yeah, I don't know whatever anyway.

[00:03:06] $109 for no park hopper one day one park. I don't know. I couldn't do it. That's too much for me.

[00:03:12] It's too rich for my blood. But if you guys are going this spring, Taren, I'm sure has the things that you can do.

[00:03:19] I have said there's some fun events going on. I like a fun event. There's some good stuff.

[00:03:23] Nice. Excellent. And then Eric has a window or something like that. We're going to talk about the history of glass or what's going on?

[00:03:28] Yeah, yeah. I've got a we're going to talk for another like hour and a half a buck glass.

[00:03:34] Yeah, I see you. I love them. What's up, Taren?

[00:03:38] I forgot something on the printer. Uh oh. Was it my report about glass?

[00:03:43] Yeah. It's the pie chart about the usage of glass throughout the last 20 years.

[00:03:50] And yeah, anyway, while we're doing that though, while Taren is taking a vacation from the show,

[00:03:57] she's going to go use concierge to travel from the studio to the office and get a piece of paper off the printer.

[00:04:04] And concierge doesn't do that for everybody. I just want to let everybody know they're not going to book you travel in your own house.

[00:04:10] But what they are going to do is help you leave your house, which is something we don't know anything about.

[00:04:14] And go to the Disney park. You can go to Disneyland, you go to Disney World, you can go to Disney Cruises.

[00:04:21] You can go anywhere else. You don't even have to go to a Disney park. They will help book your trip

[00:04:26] basically anywhere you want to go. I heard they have a Disney in Paris.

[00:04:30] I haven't heard that. Is that true? And they could take you there.

[00:04:34] Really? Yeah. When did this well, whatever? If that, you know what email comes here.

[00:04:39] If it is rumors, you know, go to concierge.com everybody and check them out. They will help you plan your Disney vacation.

[00:04:45] They are Disney planning experts. They can do like if you're going to San Diego and go to Lego land or whatever they can like book you a flight or whatever.

[00:04:53] But what they really do, they're the bread and butter so to speak there are cinnamon and sugar on their churro of life is helping you take Disney themed vacation.

[00:05:02] So go to the parks with concierge. They will help book your reservations. They will do your, you know, make sure you're square

[00:05:09] with lightning lane and Genie plus and all that kind of stuff. And if you have let's say you booked a hotel and then

[00:05:15] you know two weeks later there's a deal where you could have got a better price for the room.

[00:05:19] They will monitor that for you and they will get you that better deal and they will get that better deal refunded to you.

[00:05:25] And it's a whole thing. It's a full service stop and doesn't cost anymore than what Disney land or the Disney resorts would charge you.

[00:05:32] It's free. It's icing on the cake because they want you to have a great vacation. So check them out conciergeers.com.

[00:05:39] Yep. Eric, you want to just do your window first?

[00:05:42] Why not? Why not? Why not?

[00:05:44] It will be used to do beforehand.

[00:05:46] Yeah, Terran. Terran is over there. She's stacking her papers.

[00:05:52] I mean, those need to be very, very stacked and arranged before she could do her business.

[00:06:01] Absolutely.

[00:06:02] Same. How about we look above the forciuosity store? What is a forciuosity and why don't you need to buy one at a store?

[00:06:11] Well, it's just a bodge of wassete. I don't know most of the song. I enjoy the song, but above one of these stores on Main Street, there is the old school not.

[00:06:28] It's not one of those windows that has a clever thing going along with it.

[00:06:34] It literally just reads DS Gilmore MD, EJ up John MD with the question market at the end.

[00:06:43] Yeah, that's just me. Okay. That's just me.

[00:06:47] Huh?

[00:06:48] What? Okay. Who are these people? So where is the forciuosity store? What is it? Where is this? What is that?

[00:06:55] This is on Main Street. This used to be the up John pharmacy. And I think I'm going to do a whole thing on the up John pharmacy someday.

[00:07:05] You would do it.

[00:07:07] That's right where your two roads intersect.

[00:07:10] Right.

[00:07:11] Podcasting and pharmacy.

[00:07:13] Yeah, radio and pills, baby, just like it's the 80s all over again.

[00:07:19] I mean, the Don Amos of podcasting. Yes. Well, I don't know if Don Amos did a bunch of drugs, but you know what?

[00:07:28] Just just infer yeah. Yeah, it's fine.

[00:07:32] Well, this particular window brings up two people that were pals of Walt Disney.

[00:07:41] Walt Disney was a friend of people in places like the smoke tree ranch allegedly allegedly. Yes, he had his, he met some people that lived near him at his vacation destination.

[00:08:02] I don't know a lot about California, but I don't know why somebody who lives in LA would have a vacation destination in the desert of Palm Springs.

[00:08:11] But you know what? You know, this is not my place to judge.

[00:08:15] But yeah, the two people named on this window are David S. Gilmore and he gifford up John who were instrumental in creating the up John pharmacy, which was on Main Street

[00:08:31] in the earliest days of the park. Now David S. Gilmore was the chairman of the board and managing director of up John for a while.

[00:08:42] He was, as I mentioned, one of Walt Disney's friends, they lived near each other in smoke tree ranch. They had vacation destinations there.

[00:08:52] But Gilmore was the child of James Gilmore and Carrie Gilmore. Oh, did they have a girl called the Gil, the Gilmore girls?

[00:09:02] You know what? When you search Gilmore Disney, there's an awful lot of Gilmore girls videos that have nothing to do with any of this.

[00:09:12] Good dad. But good one. Yeah, yeah. No, I get it. I get it because I did all these. Yeah, yeah.

[00:09:20] Yeah, watch watch watch those girls. No, don't do it. That's a terrible show. No, go ahead. It is absolutely not how dare you. Very funny. Very good.

[00:09:32] Well, James Gilmore, the father of David Gilmore started the Gilmore brothers. You almost said Gilmore girls. I almost said it. I saw that too.

[00:09:45] I was like, oh, this boy's going to do it. He's going. He's going Gilmore brothers department store in Kalamazoo Michigan. David was born on March 7th, 19, 19, 18, 95 happy birthday. David, this is this is a train wrecked. Yeah.

[00:10:06] You do great. Thank you. Don't interrupt him. He will never get back on track. David's father James passed at a time and his mother remarried William Arrestus up John in 1913.

[00:10:23] So in 1916 Gilmore married his step sister, Genevieve up John and thus his stepfather became also his father-in-law.

[00:10:35] Dude, that is so awesome because that way you can still keep it in the family but you don't have to risk like the crossing of the gene.

[00:10:43] Yeah. You've got a an empire of pharmacy stuff and also department store stuff. Yeah. Hey, step bro. What are you doing?

[00:10:53] What are you doing in my pharmacy? You've got my pit. You got your pills in my, you know, dry good section. Well, you've got your dry good section of my pills and thus the Reese's peanut butter cup was born. Yeah. Well, in 1917 Gilmore joined the board of directors of his dad's department store.

[00:11:12] But then he was persuaded over to move into the other families business in 1928 in breeding. Right. He joined the up John pharmacy board and in 1932 just before old W. E. Up John died. He was named the vice president of up John pharmacy.

[00:11:40] Is that was that near up dog at all? What's what's up?

[00:11:46] Not much, man. What's up with you? Let's go. I was balancing on a beam going. Do I do I give it to him? Do I play Kate this insane maniac? The Joker of the Disney podcasting world?

[00:12:08] Well, you did you earn your your top ends. So there you go. Thank you. You won't go both both topics right? I got two topics. Topants, you know, okay. Although it was okay.

[00:12:21] Well, Gilmore moved his way up. He was the vice president. He eventually became the chairman of the board of directors. This guy just kept going higher and higher.

[00:12:35] He bought a home in smoke tree ranch near the near the up John's and the Disney family where they all had a few acres in smoke tree ranch in the Palm Springs area.

[00:12:50] Sure. So relatable people down to earth, salty earth. Yeah. Rich people who had vacation homes in Palm Springs. Exactly.

[00:12:58] Like few. They all became friends. Sure. David actually was an influential influential, not yeah, yeah, influential person at up John pharmacy where he helped expand the kind of empire pretty significantly over his time working there.

[00:13:20] And then he kind of retired. He opened up a car museum in Kalamazoo Michigan. He purchased the rolls Royce from Walt Disney's classic live action film, the gnome mobile you all remember the gnome mobile.

[00:13:36] I love it on blue radio. Oh, yeah, I love the live action. I still got to do a show about those but like every time I hear about one, it's just like someone invented a movie and they're trying to see if you know if it's real or not.

[00:13:50] And this one you never I've never heard of the gnome mobile ever. So great. What's great about this movie. They not only have a classic rolls Royce in the movie, they built a giant back seat of the rolls Royce to have people sitting in to make them look like small people.

[00:14:14] Man, God bless practical effects. You know, I just came with a good game and maybe I'll do it. I'm not paying attention to Terran segment. I'll put get get like a list of Disney movies and then write like live action ones and then write fake ones and see if you can guess which is real and which isn't.

[00:14:31] Oh my gosh. So many. I think I'm going to do that. Okay. You have to work great. Maybe do this another day. Oh no, I'll listen. I promise. Okay. You can test me.

[00:14:43] All right. I'll listen. I promise. Wink wink. Yeah, go ahead. Oh my sorry. Well, after Walt went and testified before the Senate subcommittee about communism, he visited the car museum in 1964 before it was opened.

[00:15:02] Literally two years before the museum opened and two years before Walt himself died Gilmore died in 1979. The other person on this window is e Gifford up John.

[00:15:17] He was born in 1904. He died in 1993. He was a nepot baby. I don't, I don't have anything else to say about e Gifford job of John until we do an episode about the up John pharmacy.

[00:15:30] And even then I won't talk much about e Gifford of John. He got a window for being someone's kid. Yeah, that was kind of it in the early days.

[00:15:41] Lucky kid. Yeah, it was like, yeah, you know why not great. Good job. Was that it? That was that was the window. That was the window. Good job. There's nothing else about the window. Where is it?

[00:15:54] I don't think you fully told me where it is still. For Cheney star. I don't know where that is. It sounds like an Italian restaurant in friggin downtown Disney. It's above. It's on the corner of past.

[00:16:06] So, you know, where the there's that like center street. The flowers are yeah flowers used to be sold or whatever. Right. It's on the northwest corner. Okay. So like across from like the dentist office. Like the dental thing.

[00:16:21] No, no, no. Yeah, I guess above the dental thing. It's above it's above what is now. Carnation cafe. I don't know why it took me so long to think of that. Okay. Okay. I know you're okay. That corner. Yeah, that's where it is.

[00:16:34] Because that's where there used to be a pharmacy and we'll talk about that someday when I do an exhaustive seven hour segment on the up John pharmacy on Main Street. Okay. Fascinating.

[00:16:48] Very good. Good job there. That's. Yeah, she's much more polite than him.

[00:16:55] What do you have to say about it, Jason? Nothing I can really repeat. By the way, I just sort of realized that my Chapeck misfits t-shirt logo rip off.

[00:17:07] Sort of looks like it's you could be a Dan a Dan shirt is just Dan as the crime gross. The crime ghost. The Crimson ghost. It kind of looks like Dan. Yeah, yeah, a little bit. Yeah.

[00:17:18] And see the beauty about Dan being an improvist. He can't say no. He has to say yes and it looks great. Yeah. Well, I mean if it's funny, you can say no.

[00:17:26] No, can't never say no. Never say no. Right. If it's funny though, never. Yes and you shouldn't. Where do you think of that? All right, Taren, what do you got for us, dude?

[00:17:40] Great. So there are actually more things to do at Disneyland during springtime than I thought. Let's start off with my extra one. So this is actually number six out of five.

[00:17:54] No, this month is women's history month, of course, of course. And what's interesting is everybody knows the famous floral Mickey Mouse that you see when you walk into the park like right below the train station.

[00:18:09] Yeah, see I'm paying attention. You are for the month of March it is not Mickey Mouse. It is in fact, Minnie Mouse.

[00:18:16] I feel like sexism. And I couldn't find this information for this year's Minnie Mouse, but I assume it's not far off. So in 2022, the Horticulture team shared these facts about the floral, the traditional Mickey floral design.

[00:18:33] So Mickey, not Minnie includes 1,750 individual plants and Minnie Mouse's bow itself consists of approximately 750 individual plants known as amnesia.

[00:18:47] Okay. And then the amnesia spell it wrong. No, I copied and pasted it.

[00:18:54] The swirls that are on either side of Minnie Mouse's face contain over 1900 individual plants, including pansies, violas and petunias.

[00:19:06] So that's kind of a nice thing and that's going on currently. So what's interesting though is it's not many is not there the entire month of March generally they actually start on March first.

[00:19:18] So only like over the last day or two have you actually seen her complete it. It comes together over time. Yeah, that's neat.

[00:19:27] Yeah.

[00:19:28] So that's number six. That was a but it's the first on my list because I'm going in chronological order. So the next on the list of things to do during the spring at Disneyland and I guess this isn't just Disneyland. This is the Disneyland resort.

[00:19:43] So California adventures food and wine festival. This is March first through April 22nd and of course this includes more than a dozen unique booths and celebrity demos, complimentary demonstrations from local celebrity and Disney park chefs.

[00:20:01] These typically take place on Saturdays and Sundays at the festival and the festival itself is free if you enter the park.

[00:20:10] But in order to take part in the festival, you do have to pay.

[00:20:15] There is this thing called a sip and saver pass which I don't remember knowing about this when we went before we were just buying things individually.

[00:20:24] How do I know about this or if this existed back then I would have done this. This allows guests to save money by purchasing treats from the booths in advance.

[00:20:33] And for the first time this year there's going to be two sip and saver pass options one option with four entitlements which I guess are the little dishes that you can buy.

[00:20:44] And then one with the normal the standard eight entitlements that you can redeem. Now interestingly magic key holders actually do have a benefit.

[00:20:55] They get an additional discount on the sip and saver pass and they receive a collectible lanyard because everybody needs a lanyard.

[00:21:02] Oh yeah.

[00:21:04] So this year the sip and saver pass costs $61 for day for day guests and $56 for magic key holders. The pass is good that I already said that going around.

[00:21:17] So the new four tab pass so the eight one is $61 the four one is 31 which is actually pretty good. I mean, that's like a meal right if you have if you get four of those little plates.

[00:21:29] That's a whole meal that's 31 bucks. It actually seems like a pretty decent price. That's not bad. Yeah, for more than a meal. Yeah.

[00:21:36] What's cool is that these tickets are good for multiple visits so you don't have to use them in one day which I thought was also interesting.

[00:21:43] Okay. That's good.

[00:21:45] So the other thing that happens during the food and wine festival is that soren over California returns which is far superior to all the other sorens but agreed.

[00:21:56] What I had to go get off the printer was that I actually have a list of all of the available foods at the food and wine festival.

[00:22:04] And I'm not going to go through all of them because that would be incredibly boring.

[00:22:09] But what I did do is I marked down what I would get.

[00:22:14] I love it. If money were not an issue, it's a tearing is tearing wants to be eating again is really what it is now.

[00:22:21] These are the things that I would purchase and I'm not even going to tell you where you get them because it that would also be boring.

[00:22:29] But I would get get this Jason what eagle rock brewery golden ale.

[00:22:35] We love eagle rock. I would get that I would get Russian river blind pig. Of course he would.

[00:22:41] And oh, I wouldn't get this one but I thought it was interesting they had it stone brewing stone rewination double IPA.

[00:22:47] That is interesting. Yeah, I mean, not full pints I would imagine. I mean if they have blind pig double I mean that's a double IPA so I guess they just call it an IPA but yeah.

[00:22:59] Yeah, I mean there was a double IPA but I think the styles of advanced since then so yeah these days.

[00:23:05] Seven percent who cares? I know right.

[00:23:08] So I'm essentially starting off hot with a bunch of alcohol.

[00:23:12] Then I'm going to get a sip and saver more like sip and saver from falling over.

[00:23:20] Bev Tommy. Yeah.

[00:23:22] Then an olive oil cake glazed with lemon curd topped with vanilla bean chantilly and finished with fresh candied lemon strawberry crunch and lemon lime jelly.

[00:23:32] Absolutely.

[00:23:33] Here's what I want to know is how they put those together in the booth because that seems like a participatory shop would make it.

[00:23:41] Does it come on a tray from the back kitchens, you know and like someone's a simple I don't know chantilly seems very delicate.

[00:23:48] I bet they put the chantilly on before they hand it to you.

[00:23:51] And I bet that's the only train maybe the strawberry crunch otherwise that wouldn't probably stay crunchy because these booths aren't they sponsored or manned by like different people not cast members but the like representatives of like

[00:24:02] the restaurants that rent them out or something like that Eric. Do you know that?

[00:24:05] I think Jeremy told me that one time.

[00:24:07] I mean, it makes sense.

[00:24:10] But I think it's got to be locals, right?

[00:24:14] I would think so.

[00:24:15] Brian and the chances give me that peanut butter whiskey shake.

[00:24:18] Oh my god. That is not all my life.

[00:24:20] Yeah, that sounds disgusting.

[00:24:21] Absolutely not Brian.

[00:24:22] No.

[00:24:23] Give it to me because I'm closest to the garbage.

[00:24:26] And so let me throw it away for you.

[00:24:28] But that does bring me to my next drink, which will be a watermelon cucumber mojito.

[00:24:33] Sounds very refreshing.

[00:24:34] Yeah, sounds great.

[00:24:35] Yeah, that's not bad.

[00:24:36] Yeah.

[00:24:37] This is kind of an on tray for me, but a grill top sirloin with roasted garlic, gruyay smashed potatoes and black garlic chimchery.

[00:24:44] No, that sounds great.

[00:24:45] No, it doesn't sound gross.

[00:24:47] It sounds too much like you could just go to a restaurant and buy it.

[00:24:51] Yeah, that's what you're doing.

[00:24:52] I know, but that's not what I want at like a event where you can go pick and choose little things.

[00:24:57] I want something unique.

[00:24:58] I don't want, it's like giving me a burger.

[00:25:00] I don't want a burger.

[00:25:01] I want something that sounds good though.

[00:25:03] It sounds good, but it doesn't sound.

[00:25:05] I wouldn't waste my ticket on it because I want to try something.

[00:25:08] I can't go somewhere else and get that just sounds like in a sort of like medium upscale restaurant.

[00:25:13] Okay, that's going to go really well though with my guava lychee mule.

[00:25:18] Next, I'm having a guava.

[00:25:20] Yeah, I wouldn't have a guava lychee mule.

[00:25:22] Why?

[00:25:23] That sounds delicious.

[00:25:24] In my opinion, the point of a mule like a Moscow mule is that big ginger beer hit.

[00:25:30] I mean, it probably is, but I don't care about that.

[00:25:32] But guava and lychee, I just don't really...

[00:25:34] Just call whatever you want.

[00:25:35] Okay.

[00:25:36] I think as long as the ginger's still in there, I think that's awesome.

[00:25:39] I don't know.

[00:25:40] I don't want to.

[00:25:41] I'm in the mouth.

[00:25:42] Okay, next, I don't think you'll be in on this one either, but a frozen old fashion just

[00:25:47] because I want to try it.

[00:25:49] No, I mean, I don't know.

[00:25:51] Like a slushie?

[00:25:52] Yeah.

[00:25:53] I don't know.

[00:25:54] I feel like that's why I want to try it.

[00:25:56] I feel like going shark tank, but instead of shark tank, it's like drink tank where it's

[00:26:00] like what I drink this.

[00:26:01] No, I don't think I would.

[00:26:03] A slushie.

[00:26:04] I would let you get it, but the problem I would have is like whenever you drink a slushie,

[00:26:10] sometimes it melts at the bottom and then you drink the pure liquid and you miss out on

[00:26:14] the ice so it's not watered portions when you're weird.

[00:26:17] Yeah, I don't know.

[00:26:18] Just like that.

[00:26:19] I don't like it.

[00:26:20] Yeah.

[00:26:21] Well, um, next is kind of boring, but it just sounded really good to me.

[00:26:25] Baja style fish tacos with cabbage law.

[00:26:27] So boring, but it sounds great.

[00:26:29] Um, I mean, yeah, yeah, then a raspberry almond cake because you can't never have too much

[00:26:34] cake.

[00:26:35] Right.

[00:26:36] These people, these people have been watching too much great British baking show.

[00:26:39] I love it.

[00:26:40] This is cool.

[00:26:41] It's just very odd.

[00:26:42] Yeah.

[00:26:43] Very out of those flavors work though.

[00:26:46] Yeah, for sure.

[00:26:47] But like this is again, this is something you would find like in a bakery, not, not roaming

[00:26:53] this.

[00:26:54] I don't know.

[00:26:55] It seems it seems, um, I don't want to say boring because it's not, but it's reserved,

[00:26:59] but still elevated for the sake of elevation.

[00:27:02] Yeah.

[00:27:03] Kind of.

[00:27:04] I don't know.

[00:27:05] It's, it's elegant reservation.

[00:27:06] It's different.

[00:27:07] It's cool.

[00:27:08] It's just, it's a little odd.

[00:27:09] It's an odd choice.

[00:27:10] Yeah.

[00:27:11] Another odd choice.

[00:27:12] Hi, Biscuits rose mimosa but I'm going to try it.

[00:27:16] A Biscuits rose mimosa.

[00:27:18] And it's going to be florally.

[00:27:20] Okay.

[00:27:21] It might be a little weird, but I, what tips you off on that?

[00:27:23] The two flowers that are in it?

[00:27:25] Yep.

[00:27:26] Okay.

[00:27:27] Got it.

[00:27:28] Um, and then this one I would be very excited about.

[00:27:29] It's orange juice.

[00:27:30] It's a little juicy.

[00:27:32] But it's fine.

[00:27:34] It tastes a little like citrus.

[00:27:36] This is probably the one that I'm most excited about.

[00:27:38] Yeah, what is it?

[00:27:39] It's a milk tea with coconut, lychee jelly topped with a creamy citrus foam.

[00:27:45] Like everything about that sounds amazing.

[00:27:47] Too many words.

[00:27:49] Too many words.

[00:27:50] Too many words.

[00:27:51] Yeah.

[00:27:52] You lose me halfway through and I'm like, I don't know man, sure dude.

[00:27:54] All right.

[00:27:55] This one's easier.

[00:27:56] Probably good.

[00:27:57] Passion fruit mojito.

[00:27:58] Heck yeah.

[00:27:59] Yeah.

[00:28:00] Yeah.

[00:28:01] Two-town cider house strawberry lemonade cider.

[00:28:02] Yeah.

[00:28:03] Yes.

[00:28:04] Two towns makes very good cider.

[00:28:05] Very good.

[00:28:06] Very good.

[00:28:07] Oh, and price aside.

[00:28:08] Nice dudes.

[00:28:09] Excellent.

[00:28:10] Did you pick food?

[00:28:11] There's it's coming.

[00:28:12] This is all in order of what she would do to.

[00:28:16] Oh yeah.

[00:28:17] Yeah.

[00:28:18] Loaded baked potato.

[00:28:20] No.

[00:28:21] Because why not?

[00:28:22] With fictions.

[00:28:23] Pistachio cheesecake.

[00:28:24] Yes, Deez.

[00:28:25] We can't have this many fixin.

[00:28:27] Shirkudary flatbread.

[00:28:28] Yes.

[00:28:29] No.

[00:28:30] And then that was all.

[00:28:31] That was my last thing.

[00:28:33] But a couple interesting events going on within the Food and Wine Festival event is at

[00:28:38] the Hurststone Lounge in Disney's California Adventure.

[00:28:41] They're hosting the Vomitorium.

[00:28:42] So after you drink your peanut butter whiskey shake with poured into a loaded baked potato,

[00:28:51] you can go relieve yourself and get more.

[00:28:53] Yes.

[00:28:54] The bathroom is pretty far away from the lounge.

[00:28:57] Let me just say.

[00:28:58] But aside from experience.

[00:29:00] There is a walk on the Silverado Trail which is essentially a wine experience.

[00:29:05] Oh man.

[00:29:06] I love wine.

[00:29:07] Yes.

[00:29:08] Curated selection of Silverado Trail.

[00:29:10] It's a great.

[00:29:11] Who is it?

[00:29:12] Wines delightfully paired with plates, especially crafted by the talented hotel culinary team.

[00:29:16] I love the term curated, especially in this context because it, I mean, it just,

[00:29:22] it, the implication there, I suppose, is that like someone really thought about this

[00:29:27] and gather.

[00:29:28] But the reality is it's just selected by the winery.

[00:29:32] And so you can just call it curated.

[00:29:33] Hey guys, if you go to our podcast page are, are YouTube feed.

[00:29:38] I know.

[00:29:39] I know are curated.

[00:29:40] They're curated videos.

[00:29:42] Well, what do you mean by that?

[00:29:43] Oh, why put them up there?

[00:29:44] So that means they're curated.

[00:29:45] I kind of like terms like that.

[00:29:46] I know, but it's just a weird.

[00:29:48] Like it doesn't, doesn't mean what you think it like actually really means.

[00:29:51] I don't know.

[00:29:52] Well, Trader Sands, you can take a mixology class.

[00:29:56] Is that over by up dog?

[00:29:57] Oh, sorry.

[00:29:58] Hold on.

[00:29:59] The earth's the Hurston lounge, you know, wine trail thing is April 19th.

[00:30:03] Okay.

[00:30:04] April 19th.

[00:30:05] Hey, but, but, but what is up dog?

[00:30:07] Not much, man.

[00:30:08] What's up with you?

[00:30:09] At Trader Sands, enchanted teaky bar available March 11th.

[00:30:14] Oh, that's past.

[00:30:16] March 25th and April 8th and April 22nd is our mixology classes.

[00:30:22] I do not have the price of these.

[00:30:23] I'm sure they are very expensive, but you could learn to make a classic teaky libation

[00:30:28] in the legendary Trader Sands after enjoying your handcrafted cocktail indulge in tray past

[00:30:33] or jurors or the divorce.

[00:30:36] Well, enjoying the sound of the island.

[00:30:38] I'm all sitting outside.

[00:30:40] So that's cool.

[00:30:42] Those are fun things available to you during the food and wine festival through April 22nd.

[00:30:49] That sounds like a lot of fun.

[00:30:51] I'm looking it up right now.

[00:30:52] If I can find the price of it, it 159.

[00:30:56] Oh, so depending on when you go to the park, that's more than your entrance to the

[00:31:02] take it to the park for the whole entire day.

[00:31:05] To make the hip hop out of my tie, one of the legendary libations served at Trader Sands

[00:31:11] after enjoying your handcrafted cocktail indulge in a tray or doves while enjoying the sounds

[00:31:17] of the island.

[00:31:18] Take them a teaky mug as a souvenir of your adventure.

[00:31:21] So you get to learn how to make the hip hop out of my tie and you get a teaky mug and

[00:31:25] you get to drink it and then you get free or derves.

[00:31:29] And then a hundred sixty bucks me playing the ukulele.

[00:31:32] That is a lot of money.

[00:31:34] I got one string on my ukulele.

[00:31:37] Yeah, includes three hour parking validation at Disney Land Hotel self parking.

[00:31:43] Beauty.

[00:31:44] All right.

[00:31:45] So next up we have Easter at Disneyland.

[00:31:48] Easter at Disney.

[00:31:50] You know what?

[00:31:51] Actually hold that thought put a pin in it.

[00:31:53] We're going to take a quick break.

[00:31:55] We're going to come back.

[00:31:56] We're going to resurrect this segment.

[00:31:59] Okay.

[00:32:00] Okay.

[00:32:01] Yeah.

[00:32:02] So hang around.

[00:32:03] We'll be right back.

[00:32:04] It's yours up.

[00:32:09] Back to yours up where the opinions never stop ever.

[00:32:14] All right.

[00:32:15] Thanks for sticking around everybody.

[00:32:18] Okay.

[00:32:19] All right, Teran.

[00:32:20] Let's go.

[00:32:21] No, we're talking about Easter at Disneyland and there are several things going on, things

[00:32:25] to do.

[00:32:26] The first thing is something that I've always heard about and I've always wanted

[00:32:30] to do and I've never actually gone around.

[00:32:32] I mean, very rarely do we go around spring.

[00:32:35] Yeah, mainly we avoid spring break at all costs.

[00:32:39] Yeah, although we did get engaged during spring there.

[00:32:42] We did?

[00:32:43] No.

[00:32:44] Yeah.

[00:32:45] March 4th.

[00:32:46] What were we thinking?

[00:32:47] Well, that was you.

[00:32:48] You were.

[00:32:49] What was I thinking?

[00:32:50] I don't know.

[00:32:51] All right.

[00:32:52] So the egg Stravaganza which is a Disney style egg hunt guests search high and low for

[00:32:58] characters painted on eggs.

[00:33:01] There's things like a Donald Duck egg might be placed on a window ledge and these are not

[00:33:04] tiny eggs.

[00:33:05] These are giant eggs, big eggs like on the on Main Street window or in the Nook of a doorway

[00:33:12] while a goofy egg might be spotted next door.

[00:33:15] So they're kind of all over the park.

[00:33:17] They're also all over downtown Disney and all over DCA.

[00:33:20] So you pick up a map and a set of stickers for 999 plus tax at certain locations and then

[00:33:27] you search for these hidden eggs and when you find one, you put the sticker on the map.

[00:33:32] And so the map kind of tells you where to look like a generally speaking.

[00:33:35] Okay.

[00:33:36] I don't think this is a very difficult task.

[00:33:39] It's not like hidden mickies.

[00:33:40] It's like I imagine it's probably family friendly as far as like people of every skill

[00:33:46] level could do.

[00:33:47] Yeah.

[00:33:48] You could probably.

[00:33:49] Yeah.

[00:33:50] I think I could even do it.

[00:33:51] Yeah.

[00:33:52] And you're done and you return your map to a redemption location and receive exciting

[00:33:57] keepsakes.

[00:33:58] Like what?

[00:33:59] Like an 18 magnet from five years ago?

[00:34:02] Egg site.

[00:34:03] No, I got it.

[00:34:04] Yeah.

[00:34:05] You get one of six collectible themed.

[00:34:07] I don't know what you would call it.

[00:34:09] It's like a it looks like a pin.

[00:34:12] It's like a metal thing.

[00:34:13] Okay.

[00:34:14] Like a metal egg.

[00:34:15] Okay.

[00:34:16] This year's is like a little metal egg flat metal egg and then it's on like a a

[00:34:20] pan-eared but not like a neckland.

[00:34:21] Like a wrist.

[00:34:22] Lanyard.

[00:34:23] Very oddly.

[00:34:24] Okay.

[00:34:25] But it looks cute.

[00:34:26] It's cool because the little egg part is cute.

[00:34:29] It's probably the cheapest souvenir at the park.

[00:34:32] Probably.

[00:34:33] Pretend by.

[00:34:34] Pretend by a few bucks.

[00:34:35] Yeah.

[00:34:36] You get the map and you're the thing because also you don't have to finish the map to

[00:34:39] get your token.

[00:34:40] No, you can sit that you can buy it and and not leave the line and just sit there and

[00:34:43] put all the stickers on him.

[00:34:44] You don't even have to do that.

[00:34:46] You just go back to the redemption center and say, I want my I keep safe.

[00:34:50] But but generally people feel bad about yourself.

[00:34:54] Maybe.

[00:34:55] Yeah.

[00:34:56] I don't know.

[00:34:57] It's hard to feel worse about myself.

[00:34:58] So this is only available through April 9th.

[00:35:02] Map redemption has to be done by them.

[00:35:05] I don't think a good band name by the way.

[00:35:07] Map redemption.

[00:35:09] But there are three different game boards which means that you can get three different

[00:35:14] keepsakes right.

[00:35:15] If you do this, three times they are $10 each but honestly even 30 bucks to do this like

[00:35:23] as an activity maybe for your kid in downtown Disney and Disneyland and DCI like.

[00:35:29] But did the eggs change location because once you've done it once you don't want to

[00:35:32] do it again.

[00:35:33] No, no, but like there's three different game boards.

[00:35:36] So there's one for each of those places.

[00:35:39] Got it.

[00:35:40] So the Disneyland one is only in Disneyland kind of thing.

[00:35:42] Cool.

[00:35:43] I would definitely do that.

[00:35:45] That to me seems like an actually, I can't think of the word, but worth wild spent.

[00:35:49] Yes.

[00:35:50] Don't worry.

[00:35:51] I'll give you the words to say thanks.

[00:35:52] Yeah, you're welcome.

[00:35:54] I can always count on you for that.

[00:35:56] Yeah.

[00:35:57] There are Eastern novelties.

[00:35:58] The two this the two big ones this year is a Donald Duck spring egg super cup.

[00:36:04] So it's like a an egg kind of in the shape of well no, it Donald duck in the shape of

[00:36:09] an egg and it's a cup.

[00:36:11] Okay.

[00:36:12] And of course, chip and Dale spring basket popcorn bucket.

[00:36:16] Of course everybody needs a popcorn bucket.

[00:36:20] There's also some Eastern themed food throughout the resort at Disneyland available through April

[00:36:26] 9th at the candy palace.

[00:36:29] Candy kitchen and poo corner you can get Easter eggs, which are chocolate.

[00:36:34] There's chocolate and then peanut butter flavor.

[00:36:35] So those are like big giant like seas candy chocolate egg things kind of like that.

[00:36:42] Bunny cake pops, bunny rice crispy treats, strawberry Mickey wand, churro.

[00:36:47] I think that's a churro.

[00:36:48] It actually didn't say churro, but I can't imagine what else and strawberry Mickey wand

[00:36:52] would be except maybe a pretzel.

[00:36:53] Oh, I don't know.

[00:36:55] So I'm going to go with churro at the Jolly holiday bakery for spring time.

[00:37:01] You can get a tuna sandwich with chips, which I'm surprised I don't have that all year

[00:37:04] long.

[00:37:05] Like I'd get a tuna sandwich anyway at DC.

[00:37:08] So you wouldn't first of all, but I am by agree with you.

[00:37:11] I'm surprised that that's not available year round.

[00:37:13] I might actually really like to.

[00:37:15] I like him too, but I feel like any.

[00:37:17] My God, the park to the sandwich right now.

[00:37:20] Yeah, yeah.

[00:37:21] Fair enough.

[00:37:22] Like nothing.

[00:37:23] I'm an episode about this.

[00:37:24] Nothing sounds better than walking around Disneyland just being hot and kind of sweaty

[00:37:28] and maybe a little bit sore.

[00:37:29] You know what I need is barely under room temperature tuna fish.

[00:37:34] This was like episode three.

[00:37:36] I don't know.

[00:37:37] I made them and I they weren't the worst thing I've ever had.

[00:37:41] I did like them.

[00:37:42] They were just too sweet because of the it was the wrong kind of pickle.

[00:37:46] Sure, man.

[00:37:47] It was the right kind of pickle for them, but not for me.

[00:37:49] It was a wrong kind of decade.

[00:37:50] I think to manufacture something.

[00:37:52] Yeah.

[00:37:53] Over at DCA at smoke jumpers grill you can get fish and chips, beer battered local rockfish

[00:37:58] and Crinkle Cut fries served with Ram, Ramalod, flaw and lime.

[00:38:04] I don't know whatever.

[00:38:05] Grand Californian hotel they have Mickey Mouse shaped Easter donuts and bunny cupcakes.

[00:38:12] They also have Easter bunny or Easter basket cookies carrot cake loaf which look delicious.

[00:38:19] Easter cookie treat box and then they have a waffle cookie shot with a choice of milk chocolate

[00:38:26] milk strawberry milk or alcohol.

[00:38:29] And I did not see any specifics for this years, but last year there were lots of articles

[00:38:37] about this shot which they also did during winter time that you could actually end up

[00:38:43] paying $185 for this shot because you can get this waffle cookie shot filled.

[00:38:49] I think with like anything you want.

[00:38:52] We did a whole thing.

[00:38:53] So that shows like Louis the something.

[00:38:56] And so yeah, so this is back and so if you are looking for the waffle cookie shot, you

[00:39:02] go to the Grand Californian hotel holiday cart.

[00:39:05] Mm-hmm.

[00:39:06] Yeah, please, please listeners don't don't mix top shelf alcohol with waffle cookies on

[00:39:15] uncooked cookies.

[00:39:16] Yeah.

[00:39:17] No, don't do that.

[00:39:18] But if you do video yourself taking it because I would love to see your reaction.

[00:39:23] Yeah, please email it to me.

[00:39:26] Yeah.

[00:39:27] To Bob at Disney dot com.

[00:39:30] Downtown Disney has the same things that the other places have bunny cake pop, bunny

[00:39:35] or a crispy treat and the strawberry Mickey wand.

[00:39:37] So aside from some fun, some fun egg sighting treats stop doing that.

[00:39:42] I won't.

[00:39:43] There are also special characters around this time of year.

[00:39:46] Okay.

[00:39:47] On Main Street you may come across the actual Easter bunny.

[00:39:51] What?

[00:39:52] This man.

[00:39:53] No way.

[00:39:54] Oh yeah, he roams around Disneyland along with many of his bunny friends, the white rabbit,

[00:40:02] thumper.

[00:40:03] They know each other rabbit from Winnie the Pooh Roger rabbit and Oswald.

[00:40:08] Can you imagine Roger rabbit and thumper being free?

[00:40:12] Yeah, I guess they would.

[00:40:13] They feel like I feel like they would do drugs together in like high school.

[00:40:16] Oh my god.

[00:40:17] They seem a little ADHD.

[00:40:19] Yeah, yeah.

[00:40:20] If Roger's there like that's that's very exciting.

[00:40:24] They were just doing different drugs.

[00:40:26] That's all.

[00:40:27] I don't know.

[00:40:28] I feel like I feel like Roger.

[00:40:29] I feel like thumper would steal Rogers Ridlin.

[00:40:32] That's my thumper.

[00:40:33] Yeah.

[00:40:34] I see.

[00:40:35] I was thinking rabbit from Winnie the Pooh.

[00:40:36] Okay.

[00:40:37] Yeah.

[00:40:38] No rabbit would nark on them.

[00:40:39] Are you going for sure?

[00:40:40] Oh yeah.

[00:40:41] Rolling up in here.

[00:40:42] Yeah.

[00:40:43] Please rabbit.

[00:40:44] I'm just trying to get high.

[00:40:46] Gosh.

[00:40:47] This dick a durn.

[00:40:50] Yeah, suddenly my Roger rabbit is tally from South Park.

[00:40:53] Yeah.

[00:40:54] I don't know what's going on.

[00:40:57] Oh.

[00:40:58] Okay.

[00:40:59] Ryan says that the Mickey wand is a skewer of marshmallows.

[00:41:04] Sure.

[00:41:05] Why wouldn't it be?

[00:41:06] I'd rather a chore.

[00:41:08] Honestly, so it was our political system.

[00:41:10] Just weird.

[00:41:11] That was a good one.

[00:41:14] I think long line of marshmallows makes no sense.

[00:41:17] Okay.

[00:41:18] Next up on the list, I think this brings us to number three or something.

[00:41:21] I don't know.

[00:41:22] Yeah.

[00:41:23] Season of the Force.

[00:41:24] Oh.

[00:41:25] Now we're talking about destiny.

[00:41:26] Okay.

[00:41:27] This is a new season of destiny.

[00:41:29] This is centered.

[00:41:30] This is a Star Wars themed spring event and it's centered around the holiday May the

[00:41:36] fourth.

[00:41:37] Okay.

[00:41:38] I love it.

[00:41:39] Yeah.

[00:41:40] This is actually returning for the first time since 2015.

[00:41:43] Great.

[00:41:44] It's going to be April 5th through June 2nd and a couple of things that are happening.

[00:41:49] One, I sent you a link to this but hyperspace mountain is returning.

[00:41:54] Oh good.

[00:41:56] And what makes this different is that there's Star Wars ship projections in outer space

[00:42:01] with the sky visible.

[00:42:02] Is it ship?

[00:42:03] Right.

[00:42:04] I said ship.

[00:42:05] Yes.

[00:42:06] The story of this overlay puts guests in the cockpit of an X-wing fighter in the middle

[00:42:10] of a fight with the Empire.

[00:42:12] The squadron that takes part in this battle is named blue 77 squadron as a reference

[00:42:17] to loose original X-wing concept, which was changed from blue to red and 77 as a reference

[00:42:23] for the year 1977.

[00:42:25] I hate it.

[00:42:26] When Star Wars was released and Space Mountain opened at Disneyland.

[00:42:29] Boo.

[00:42:30] You know, mostly among Killamarian yelling at you and then it's it's a real.

[00:42:36] God, I saved every body.

[00:42:38] We're so full.

[00:42:39] So probably the most you.

[00:42:42] The most noticeable change is that the score is changed for Space Mountain during hyperspace

[00:42:47] mountain.

[00:42:48] That's true, yeah.

[00:42:49] Here's a little clip.

[00:42:50] It's sped up 100% get it hypers.

[00:42:53] HIPER.

[00:42:54] And you're saying it must be a rough part of it.

[00:42:58] Always prepare to jump into hyperspace on my mark.

[00:43:02] Punch it.

[00:43:04] Oh my gosh.

[00:43:05] I was just in there, the lights were low.

[00:43:06] I kept the punch it in there for you guys.

[00:43:11] Um, I love it.

[00:43:14] So I have no problem with hyperspace mountain because it's still the same ride and I

[00:43:34] love that ride.

[00:43:36] Next up there will be new star tours scenes debuted during season of the force.

[00:43:43] This was announced back in September 2023 and what we know at this point is that it's going

[00:43:48] to feature new scenes.

[00:43:50] I'm going to need help, but new scenes from the soka theories from Disney plus which

[00:43:58] the article I read said that a soka is the most popular star wars character and I cannot

[00:44:05] I cannot make sense of that.

[00:44:07] That cannot be the most popular star wars character.

[00:44:11] I feel like maybe of, of the new, of like the animated or something like that, but yeah

[00:44:18] there's no, there's no shot that she is the most popular star wars character.

[00:44:23] There's just no, there's no way because you can tell she's not in the parks.

[00:44:26] Right.

[00:44:27] Right.

[00:44:28] Come on.

[00:44:29] Yeah, she's not Darth Vader or Luke or Princess Leia or like I mean, come on.

[00:44:38] A soka is her hand pretty cool.

[00:44:40] She's pretty cool.

[00:44:41] A handable solo but I love Hannibal Solo or Lucas Lucas Guy Walker.

[00:44:47] Now probably my favorite part of this season of the force that I would be really excited

[00:44:53] to see or Jafar the Hut.

[00:44:54] Has anyone ever done that mash up?

[00:44:56] I don't think so.

[00:44:58] Man, that'd be sick.

[00:44:59] Get on the TV and art.

[00:45:00] You do that's your next t-shirt.

[00:45:01] Yeah.

[00:45:02] Hang on.

[00:45:03] I don't, I don't want to.

[00:45:04] Yeah, I don't do it.

[00:45:05] I don't want this in the parks and I was going to say I bet I'm positive she's in the

[00:45:10] place recently because of because of the show but like she yeah, that's what I mean.

[00:45:15] Yeah.

[00:45:16] Okay.

[00:45:17] So my favorite part of this season of the force is that in Galaxy's Edge they are debuting

[00:45:23] a different perspective on the Disneyland fireworks.

[00:45:26] So if you, you can actually watch the regular fireworks show that you would see on Main Street

[00:45:34] it's visible for if you stand close to the millennium Falcon in what?

[00:45:39] Nothing.

[00:45:40] Nothing.

[00:45:41] What did I say?

[00:45:42] You didn't say anything.

[00:45:43] You said millennium and I'm always in my head saying millennial and so I for a second

[00:45:47] there thought you said what I was thinking.

[00:45:49] Okay.

[00:45:50] I doubled.

[00:45:51] I did it right.

[00:45:52] It's millennium.

[00:45:53] Yeah.

[00:45:54] Okay.

[00:45:55] Right.

[00:45:56] So you can see it if you stand close to the millennium Falcon in Galaxy's edge to cook

[00:45:59] from the internet.

[00:46:00] I apologize.

[00:46:02] But this new fireworks edition is not a new fireworks show, but what they're doing is there

[00:46:06] when you're in Galaxy's Edge, they're playing a different soundtrack to just saying fireworks.

[00:46:11] That's cool.

[00:46:12] I like that.

[00:46:13] I think it's very cool.

[00:46:14] I really like this idea.

[00:46:16] So from my understanding and chat will absolutely correct me if I'm wrong.

[00:46:21] Just say Ryan.

[00:46:22] But Ryan will correct me if I'm wrong.

[00:46:25] We know.

[00:46:26] But I think this is the first time they've done it.

[00:46:29] So we actually haven't seen this yet, but this sounds to me like a really good idea and

[00:46:34] really cool if they can pull it off.

[00:46:36] Yeah.

[00:46:37] I think that's going to be neat.

[00:46:38] Next up is a day that has been around for a very long time, but it does take place in

[00:46:42] spring and it is dapper day.

[00:46:44] Oh, okay.

[00:46:45] Yeah.

[00:46:46] Dapper day for spring this year is April 6th and 7th.

[00:46:49] That's when the expo is the actual dapper day is Sunday, April 7th.

[00:46:54] But at the expo, so this thing has really blown up since the day that we went.

[00:47:01] Yeah.

[00:47:02] But I need to know it was super popular.

[00:47:05] Yeah.

[00:47:06] So for the expo, you pay money, which I did not know, but early bird entry is $29.

[00:47:12] General admission is 19.

[00:47:14] Children under 12 are free and in the expo, you can shop nearly 30,000 square feet

[00:47:19] of a marketplace.

[00:47:22] And these are hand picked new and vintage clothing and accessory vendors.

[00:47:27] There's local cosmetics and grooming brands, jewelry, eyewear, shoes, hats, like anything

[00:47:33] you can think of, there's pop-ups salons throughout.

[00:47:35] You can get your little shave, your little hot shave, you can get your hair done up in

[00:47:41] those like curly weird things.

[00:47:42] Oh my God.

[00:47:43] I mean, just anything you can imagine.

[00:47:45] The hipster dream.

[00:47:46] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:47:47] Absolutely.

[00:47:48] It's like Fred Meyer, but for hipsters.

[00:47:50] I did not see this written anywhere.

[00:47:52] And so that's why I'm now I'm saying it, but I didn't write it down.

[00:47:55] But on their website, I think I saw a picture of somebody getting a tattoo also.

[00:48:00] Please.

[00:48:01] I really do.

[00:48:02] It looked like somebody was getting a tattoo and I was like, it doesn't say it, so

[00:48:06] I'm not going to write it down.

[00:48:07] I want to get a date 24.

[00:48:09] Yeah.

[00:48:10] I said, I'm like, this is Mickey.

[00:48:17] You're going to like this though.

[00:48:18] On their website, it closes.

[00:48:20] And I love that my favorite part about that.

[00:48:22] Let people have fun.

[00:48:24] I am.

[00:48:25] You can look go.

[00:48:26] I don't care.

[00:48:26] Everyone do it.

[00:48:27] Are you hardy?

[00:48:28] We'll be there.

[00:48:29] Come on.

[00:48:30] They made a note on their website that for health and safety reasons, they do not want

[00:48:35] anyone feeling obligated to attend the expo if they've paid for it, if they're not feeling

[00:48:40] well.

[00:48:41] So if you pay for this and you're not feeling well and or you test positive for COVID,

[00:48:46] they ask that you request a refund instead of attending the event.

[00:48:49] Can you imagine dragging your girlfriend?

[00:48:52] I need to get my tattoo, but Barry, I have a COVID.

[00:48:59] I don't put a mask on.

[00:49:03] It doesn't matter anymore.

[00:49:04] Put the diaper on your face and let's go.

[00:49:09] I'm getting a cherry blossom tattoo like Arizona.

[00:49:12] It's good.

[00:49:13] My favorite part of Dapper Day then and now is that there are special hotel rates on

[00:49:18] the Disneyland Hotels and some other.

[00:49:20] I thought they weren't doing that in there because we got that scream and deal for California

[00:49:25] hotel, a grand Californian casino in hotel, a card room or whatever.

[00:49:29] And I thought the year after that they didn't they weren't offering it so we'd like never

[00:49:34] really went.

[00:49:35] They were still doing it.

[00:49:36] They never stopped.

[00:49:37] We just I think it just wasn't as good of a deal the next time.

[00:49:40] Oh, maybe.

[00:49:41] You just turned your back on the casino live.

[00:49:43] That's all when you win so much.

[00:49:46] So like I said, the actual Dapper Day is Sunday, April 7th and this is nothing more than

[00:49:51] dressing up at Disneyland and it's very uncomfortable.

[00:49:54] It's very hot.

[00:49:55] It is not worth it.

[00:49:56] But just let people have fun, Terence.

[00:50:00] Remind me what what Dapper is?

[00:50:01] Because am I going Victorian or am I and I like a great?

[00:50:05] What?

[00:50:06] What do you wear?

[00:50:07] I'm like, zoot, zoot, kind of grease your guy.

[00:50:09] 20s, 20s, 40s.

[00:50:11] The way it started is it started actually back in the day as dress like Walt.

[00:50:17] What would Walt wear to the park?

[00:50:19] And then it started becoming like what was it?

[00:50:21] And a cigarette essentially like where what people would wear on day one.

[00:50:26] You know what I hope they do is at this little thing they put they put fake like nicotine

[00:50:32] stains on your fingers.

[00:50:33] That would be let's go authentic Walt.

[00:50:36] I don't think we've ever talked about Dapper Day without you making a cigarette joke.

[00:50:40] I'm pretty sure.

[00:50:41] Like we should go back through the archives and find out if there has ever been a time

[00:50:46] that we've talked about.

[00:50:47] I mean, I mean, I've never smoked a cigarette but if that's allowed on Dapper Day's

[00:50:52] then I'm just walk around like dress like what Walt where but walking around asking if

[00:50:58] anyone took your lighter.

[00:51:00] You've never smoked a cigarette.

[00:51:01] I have never smoked a cigarette.

[00:51:03] I've smoked cigars.

[00:51:04] I have smoked.

[00:51:05] Oh, same thing to smaller than you inhale them.

[00:51:09] Right?

[00:51:10] Yeah.

[00:51:11] No, I don't want that in my lung.

[00:51:13] I just wanted it in my cheeks.

[00:51:16] That's all.

[00:51:17] That's right.

[00:51:18] And in your gums and on your tongue where right?

[00:51:19] Right.

[00:51:20] Right.

[00:51:21] I tell you as for a dumb as cigarette smoking is and how damaging it is and how stupid

[00:51:25] it is.

[00:51:27] It's one of the coolest feelings you can have.

[00:51:28] It really is.

[00:51:29] Yeah.

[00:51:30] Like you feel like look at the coolest because generally you do.

[00:51:34] You kind of do.

[00:51:35] Yeah.

[00:51:36] Yeah.

[00:51:37] It's the worst thing because that's the only thing that it has going for it.

[00:51:39] It doesn't feel good.

[00:51:40] It doesn't taste good.

[00:51:41] It doesn't smell good.

[00:51:43] There's it's not.

[00:51:44] Oh, no, it smells literally killed.

[00:51:46] It smells good.

[00:51:47] It smells good.

[00:51:48] It smells good.

[00:51:49] I mean, you're high.

[00:51:50] Only when you first light it because that's the paper.

[00:51:53] The paper smells.

[00:51:54] No, the tobacco.

[00:51:55] The tobacco smells good.

[00:51:57] Wow.

[00:51:58] I don't know.

[00:51:59] Yeah, you're weird.

[00:52:00] I'm surprised you've never smoked a cigarette then.

[00:52:02] I've never smoked a cigarette.

[00:52:04] Woof.

[00:52:05] I do not think it smells good.

[00:52:07] Back to Dapper Day.

[00:52:08] Like I said, it's just dressing up as Disneyland.

[00:52:11] I did not see this on their website, but in the past when we did it and we didn't take

[00:52:16] the picture, but they do a giant group photo in front of the castle.

[00:52:19] It's possible that it's too big now and they don't do that anymore.

[00:52:22] I don't know.

[00:52:23] They used to do it on the Mark Twain.

[00:52:24] Oh, yeah, that's cool.

[00:52:26] It is cool, but I think that's I think to your point, Taryn, that's how small it used

[00:52:29] to be.

[00:52:30] Yeah, that's not small.

[00:52:31] That's still big, but like now it's in front of the castle because it's just, yeah.

[00:52:35] How many of them were smoking on the Mark Twain?

[00:52:38] Well, next up we have Pixar Fest.

[00:52:42] Now this is later, a little bit later, it's April 26th through August 4th and you've

[00:52:47] been seeing the commercials because I've been seeing the commercials and I don't even

[00:52:51] have cable.

[00:52:52] So this is actually the first time that this is happening since 2018.

[00:52:57] And we don't know a lot of specific details on this this year's Pixar Fest, but it is

[00:53:03] designed to quote unquote bring guests together of a celebration that doesn't it's not even

[00:53:10] proper sentence.

[00:53:11] A copy and paste this is not my writing.

[00:53:13] Bring guests together of a celebration of friendship and beyond, which I'm sorry, but

[00:53:19] beyond friendship is a little that's that's what you go there.

[00:53:23] Yeah, I'm sorry, Disney, I'm married.

[00:53:25] Yeah, I mean, talk to her about it.

[00:53:27] I don't, you know, whatever, but like it's not the little weird things that you can

[00:53:32] expect at Pixar Fest.

[00:53:34] My favorite thrupple is you, me and then the Disney spirit.

[00:53:38] Yes.

[00:53:39] And just to clarify, I actually thought Pixar Fest was just at DCA and this is it is not

[00:53:43] it is across the whole resource course.

[00:53:46] Why not?

[00:53:47] Why wouldn't it make sense to have Pixar Fest in the area that they overtook for Pixar

[00:53:53] specifically, but then just have it spill out over the whole resort.

[00:53:57] Why not?

[00:53:58] Why not?

[00:53:59] Why not break those boundaries?

[00:54:00] You can get merchandise.

[00:54:02] And actually some of the merchandise seems pretty cool.

[00:54:05] There's like collectible medallions, which I don't care about, but there are things like

[00:54:09] pizza planet baseball caps, which is cool.

[00:54:13] Also, there is probably one popcorn bucket that I have ever gone, oh, I think I want

[00:54:20] that one.

[00:54:21] And it's the pizza planet truck and it looks like the pizza planet truck.

[00:54:26] That's cool.

[00:54:27] They don't have a pizza planet pop up at like South by Southwest this year.

[00:54:31] Yeah.

[00:54:32] And so it's got like the yo on the back.

[00:54:34] Oh, it's got it looks like the truck.

[00:54:36] Like if you Google it, I'm sure it'll come up, but like it is, it's, I was like, oh,

[00:54:41] that's accurate.

[00:54:42] And when when you do something accurate, I'm kind of all in just like everything else.

[00:54:47] There's themed menu items.

[00:54:48] Pixar Fest.

[00:54:50] There's a cake, a Pixar Fest cake from the Plaza Inn.

[00:54:54] Three layers, Pixar colors and some yellow, blue, red.

[00:54:59] Yeah.

[00:55:00] Yeah.

[00:55:01] Yeah.

[00:55:02] On May 10th, what is happening?

[00:55:04] Those those other colors.

[00:55:05] There's a cake.

[00:55:06] I don't know.

[00:55:07] I mean, of course there's a cake.

[00:55:10] There's always a cake.

[00:55:11] Do we can we buy the whole cake or do we just have to get a slice?

[00:55:14] Just a slice.

[00:55:15] And it's almost like the description was just an afterthought of like there's a cake

[00:55:20] and it has stuff on it.

[00:55:24] Because it's like I've already said all this, it's like all the same stuff.

[00:55:26] It's just why you're saying it because it's happening now instead of it being an

[00:55:31] Easter cake.

[00:55:32] Now it's a Pixar cake when will now be now right now soon.

[00:55:38] So just like I said, everything just gets recycled.

[00:55:40] So May 10th now let's remember.

[00:55:43] Or cake.

[00:55:44] I'm sure there is, but I'm just going to go back up for one sec.

[00:55:49] So the food and wine festival ends April 22nd on May 10th.

[00:55:54] There are six Pixar themed marketplaces that are going to be featured in Disney California

[00:55:59] adventure and are going to be available throughout the festival.

[00:56:02] And these are essentially replacing or extending, I guess, the food and wine festival.

[00:56:08] Okay.

[00:56:09] So there's going to be summertime dishes inspired by Italian.

[00:56:12] Interesting.

[00:56:13] The Italian coast at I'm not going to say fantastic.

[00:56:17] I love the Italian coast about stuff about Luca.

[00:56:19] Okay.

[00:56:20] Italian coast food to do with Luca.

[00:56:23] I wonder if they're going to keep the booths up or tear them all down and then two.

[00:56:27] Okay.

[00:56:28] Oh, oh, and then put them back up.

[00:56:29] Yeah.

[00:56:30] That part I don't know.

[00:56:31] They've got a few weeks.

[00:56:32] Got a couple of weeks there.

[00:56:33] Yeah.

[00:56:34] Reimagined classics at Gusto's to go themed to Ratatouille.

[00:56:38] A Malange, Malange, of a launch of elements at the elemental table inspired by elemental.

[00:56:46] I love that word.

[00:56:47] It's just like it's a puddle.

[00:56:49] And a candle and like some sand.

[00:56:53] Yeah.

[00:56:54] And then a fan is like here you go.

[00:56:56] Here you go.

[00:56:57] These are the launch of the elements everybody basically fun foods perfect for a tween.

[00:57:02] I love foods.

[00:57:03] Boy band or anyone really at four towns.

[00:57:06] Favorites.

[00:57:07] Four town favorites.

[00:57:09] That's funny.

[00:57:10] Okay.

[00:57:11] And that's from turning red.

[00:57:12] Feel good foods to feed your soul at the spark inspired by soul which you know that's

[00:57:16] going to be the best one hands down.

[00:57:18] Oh, absolutely.

[00:57:19] Well, it depends on what it's going to be.

[00:57:21] I don't know.

[00:57:22] It's got to be soul food.

[00:57:23] Yeah.

[00:57:24] Which is going to be great.

[00:57:26] And then flavors to appeal to all of your emotions at hanger management from inside

[00:57:31] out.

[00:57:32] That's funny.

[00:57:33] It is.

[00:57:34] So they've done a good job here.

[00:57:35] There's a new daytime parade in Disney California adventure called better together.

[00:57:39] A Pixar pal celebration.

[00:57:42] This is going to run twice a day featuring high energy dancing and appearances from over

[00:57:46] two dozen Pixar characters, including characters from Lucas sold the incredible turning red

[00:57:51] cocoa toy story and monsters.

[00:57:52] You know what's great about listening to you read the way the Disney markets is that it

[00:57:57] just sounds different than when I'm like reading it because the first thing I thought was

[00:58:03] imagine if they just didn't put the word high energy in front of dancing.

[00:58:08] Then you would go, oh, and there's going to be dancing.

[00:58:10] And then in my mind I'll go, what are people going to do?

[00:58:12] Just be doing like the box trot or just like the square dance box like, oh, but high

[00:58:18] energy.

[00:58:19] Oh, well now now you understand.

[00:58:21] Yeah.

[00:58:22] Now a paint a picture.

[00:58:23] Now I understand.

[00:58:24] Weird, man.

[00:58:25] It's like high energy dancing.

[00:58:27] What else is there?

[00:58:28] Dancing and it is not.

[00:58:31] No, I'm just kind of sway.

[00:58:33] I mean, come on.

[00:58:35] I mean, most white white folk.

[00:58:37] Yeah, are we talking about like white people at a blues festival dancing?

[00:58:43] That's high energy.

[00:58:44] Or are we talking about like, I don't know, I can't think of low energy dancing.

[00:58:49] I really can't go.

[00:58:50] That's all right.

[00:58:51] There's also together forever, a Pixar nighttime spectacular and this celebrates the

[00:58:57] unbreakable bonds between pals, such as Woody and Buzz or Pixar fest.

[00:59:02] Unbreakable.

[00:59:03] Didn't they like getting like several fights and broke up after while and then didn't

[00:59:07] Woody in the end of four lead.

[00:59:09] But they always left it for yeah, unbreakable my foot.

[00:59:15] But he still has has a friendship with his own pals.

[00:59:20] Yeah, I mean, he left for a lady but you know, it's fine.

[00:59:25] Yeah.

[00:59:26] Sometimes in life, we do that right?

[00:59:28] This is going to highlight moments like Pixar pals meeting for the first time and barking

[00:59:32] on new adventures and overcoming challenges and forming everlasting bonds.

[00:59:36] So every Disney movie ever, there's also a special castle flyover by Buzz Lightyear and

[00:59:44] the house from up.

[00:59:46] And I have a video of this and I do apologize.

[00:59:49] It is more visual.

[00:59:50] I'm hoping you get at least some idea of it through sound.

[00:59:54] But basically like the castle is, you know, it's all lit up and stuff for the fireworks

[00:59:59] show.

[01:00:00] But then the uphouse flies right behind it.

[01:00:04] It's incredible.

[01:00:05] Yeah, let's watch won't we?

[01:00:06] Literally made me cry this afternoon.

[01:00:10] So it's like that wire that I think Tinkerbell used to fly on.

[01:00:19] It's just.

[01:00:20] Yeah, it's cute.

[01:00:21] It's cute.

[01:00:22] That's all the way.

[01:00:25] I can tell you the runtime stamp.

[01:00:29] It's a little longer than that usually but there you go.

[01:00:33] Yeah, still, it's cool.

[01:00:35] It's really pretty neat.

[01:00:37] It looks real.

[01:00:38] Yeah.

[01:00:39] You look really cool.

[01:00:41] Yeah, that's pretty cool.

[01:00:42] There are new scenes added to this nighttime spectacular this year featuring characters and

[01:00:48] moments from onward, soul, Luca, turning red and elemental now over at DCA everyone's favorite

[01:00:54] club picks are now.

[01:00:56] This is a nighttime party in the Hollywood back lot featuring an interactive DJ live performances

[01:01:01] games, photos, photo ops themed foods and drinks.

[01:01:04] What's an interactive DJ?

[01:01:05] Don't know but wasn't going to take that word out.

[01:01:08] Right.

[01:01:09] Yeah, why would you increase the BPM?

[01:01:13] Yeah.

[01:01:14] Oh, we have a request for a 198 BPM.

[01:01:17] Let's go.

[01:01:18] And then there's Pixar play Pixar pals play time party and this is actually this is back

[01:01:27] in Disneyland.

[01:01:28] Quad P's baby at the fantasy land theater dance and play.

[01:01:34] The fantasy land theater.

[01:01:35] I don't know where we're at right in front of Tune Town to the side.

[01:01:39] Whatever.

[01:01:40] This is a high energy show interactive games and activities inspired by Pixar feature films

[01:01:46] as well as a selection of iconic shorts on the big screen.

[01:01:49] Okay, that's kind of cool.

[01:01:51] And lastly, last on my list.

[01:01:53] Well, last note, I don't care.

[01:01:57] Rare character sightings for Pixar.

[01:01:58] Uh oh, the rare is baby rare alert.

[01:02:01] Let's go.

[01:02:02] The first one is incredible but I didn't think that was that rare.

[01:02:04] I feel like I see them every time I'm there.

[01:02:06] Anyway, some new characters, Ember and Wade from elemental.

[01:02:10] Okay.

[01:02:11] Red panda may from turning red and the inside out characters.

[01:02:15] And that is what you can do at spring time.

[01:02:19] Good job, Taren.

[01:02:20] All right.

[01:02:21] It was fantastic.

[01:02:22] I can't wait to hear about all of it going on.

[01:02:26] Yes.

[01:02:27] Speaking of things going on summer is just around the corner.

[01:02:29] I know spring hasn't even sprung yet but summer is right around the corner this weekend in

[01:02:34] this Bay area that we live in.

[01:02:35] It's going to be like 77 degrees and windy, which is awesome.

[01:02:39] It's always good.

[01:02:40] But our friends at the 21st Amendment are welcoming the warmer weather with open arms

[01:02:45] and a refreshing favorite.

[01:02:47] Hell or high watermelon wheat.

[01:02:49] Picture this if you can.

[01:02:50] If you can't, if your mind's eye isn't red and bloodshot from listening to Taren's

[01:02:56] awesome description of what's going on in the spring.

[01:02:59] You got a sunny day, the smell of barbecue in the air and a cold crisp hell or high watermelon

[01:03:04] wheat in your hand.

[01:03:06] It is the ultimate summertime companion, perfect for those unforgettable gatherings with friends

[01:03:12] and family.

[01:03:14] But what makes hell or high watermelon so special you're asking me, Taren?

[01:03:17] I'm sure that's what you're staring at me for.

[01:03:19] It's not just its bright, straw color or tight white bubbles.

[01:03:23] No.

[01:03:24] It's the subtle blend of a wheat beer with a hint of sweet biscuit and a kiss of juicy

[01:03:29] watermelon.

[01:03:30] That sets it apart.

[01:03:31] I would say a French kiss, maybe like you're in high school again.

[01:03:35] Yeah.

[01:03:36] Well, it's refreshing flavor and delightful light fruit notes.

[01:03:40] Hell or high watermelon is bound to become your go to summer beer.

[01:03:44] And at just 4.9 for ABV, you can enjoy it all day long without missing a beat.

[01:03:50] So when you're looking for that perfect beverage to complement those sunny days and backyard

[01:03:54] barbecues, look no further than hell or high watermelon wheat.

[01:03:57] I think it wherever great craft beer is sold and make it this summer, one to remember.

[01:04:03] I will say that is basically like if you had to take summer and represent it in a beverage,

[01:04:08] it would be hell or high watermelon wheat.

[01:04:09] And I'm not just saying that because Sully's going to listen to this to make sure I did

[01:04:12] the read.

[01:04:13] I really firmly believe that there you go.

[01:04:15] My dad, that was literally, you know what?

[01:04:18] I bet if it weren't for that beer, we wouldn't be married because that's what got my dad

[01:04:23] into brewing, which got him to listen to the brewing network, which made him know who

[01:04:27] you are, which made that my parents introduced me to, well sort of introduced me to you

[01:04:32] at that beer fest.

[01:04:33] Oh, it's all to do with watermelon wheat.

[01:04:36] I'm going to go pound sand.

[01:04:40] Okay, sorry, I was doing that to do list.

[01:04:44] I apologize.

[01:04:45] And I, my goodness, just to be in the middle of all of this.

[01:04:49] Wow.

[01:04:51] A terrible cricket.

[01:04:52] Forget about that.

[01:04:53] Let's do a little news.

[01:04:55] March in the past, present and future with all the news that's fit to cover.

[01:05:02] It's the ears of Disney News.

[01:05:04] All right, I'm going to talk a little bit about things that I actually like right now.

[01:05:09] I'm going to do this.

[01:05:11] And I think it's going to be amazing.

[01:05:13] Is it just your wife and your child?

[01:05:17] No, things I actually like.

[01:05:19] Eric things I'm happy that exist in this world.

[01:05:23] So normally I talk about popcorn buckets and how stupid they are.

[01:05:27] And I wanted to share this.

[01:05:28] AMC theaters is going to carry exclusive ghost busters, frozen empire popcorn buckets.

[01:05:34] And this is old news if you're in the discord already posted this from last month.

[01:05:37] But I wanted to share it on here because I need these.

[01:05:41] And I have never understood the trap for lack of a better term of the Disney popcorn

[01:05:49] bucket than I do with this.

[01:05:52] I love a ghost busters.

[01:05:53] I haven't seen any of the new movies because I like the old ones better.

[01:05:57] I'm that's what I'm in.

[01:05:59] But these aren't just like race stands popcorn bucket or whatever.

[01:06:03] It's the ghost trap as a popcorn bucket.

[01:06:06] Alex fantastic.

[01:06:07] It looks awesome and I need them.

[01:06:10] I need them.

[01:06:11] I don't know what to say.

[01:06:12] I don't know what else to say, but I need these.

[01:06:15] It looks it looks 80s too.

[01:06:17] It looks it doesn't it.

[01:06:19] They did a good job.

[01:06:20] They did a great job and they have a slimer one too, which not as good, but as good because

[01:06:25] it's holding a popcorn bag of its own says sin mark on it's like, okay, cool.

[01:06:30] Great.

[01:06:31] But slimer is pretty awesome.

[01:06:32] But dude, I and then they have an ECHTO one.

[01:06:35] Look at that.

[01:06:36] Look at this.

[01:06:37] Wow.

[01:06:38] That looks awesome.

[01:06:39] But the AMC one is definitely the best one.

[01:06:41] Oh, absolutely.

[01:06:42] Yeah, the trap for sure.

[01:06:44] Yeah.

[01:06:45] I don't know how to get them.

[01:06:49] I guess you go to the movie theater.

[01:06:51] But anybody wants to pick me up on please do.

[01:06:54] I will pay for it.

[01:06:56] Thank you.

[01:06:57] All right, we're doing some news.

[01:06:58] Here we go.

[01:06:59] Member old friend Gina Carano.

[01:07:01] Oh yes.

[01:07:02] Crazy.

[01:07:03] Crazy lady from the.

[01:07:04] Yeah.

[01:07:05] Delorean.

[01:07:06] She supposed to what she says with the media sort of like picks up on is that she got fired

[01:07:13] from the Mandalorian.

[01:07:14] But what I've heard and I can't remember like too many details about it because my brain

[01:07:20] has to fill with other stuff that let me function is that she wasn't fired so much as she

[01:07:25] just wasn't her contract wasn't renewed.

[01:07:27] That's the same thing though.

[01:07:28] It's not all of it, that's the same thing.

[01:07:31] Yeah.

[01:07:32] Kind of but like if you don't have a contract and you're in your waiting to see if you're

[01:07:36] renewed and they say we're not going to renew your contract.

[01:07:39] It's still a failure.

[01:07:40] It's not a firing though.

[01:07:41] So she's suing.

[01:07:42] So Disney.

[01:07:43] She says quote, it feels good to fight back.

[01:07:50] Gina Carano isn't backing down from her years long fight with former employer Disney in an

[01:07:57] interview with a Hollywood reporter, the actress who was fired from the Mandalorian in 2021

[01:08:01] over her social media posts recounted the quote disrespect and shame she felt after

[01:08:07] the firing and said it felt good to fight back with a wrongful termination lawsuit.

[01:08:11] So I don't know if you know this but her lawsuit is being funded financed by Elon Musk

[01:08:18] because he had a thing where it's like if you're ever sued, but because of something

[01:08:22] you said on Twitter, then I will pay for your you know lawsuit or whatever.

[01:08:27] And so he's I mean, he's making good.

[01:08:29] I just want to get through it.

[01:08:31] Yeah.

[01:08:32] Quote.

[01:08:33] I think it's pretty incredible what he is doing she said.

[01:08:35] A lot of billionaires put their money into buying islands and building bunkers.

[01:08:39] Elon Musk is using his Elon Musk using his Elon Musk is using his money to fight massive

[01:08:45] injustice battle.

[01:08:47] Oh my god, this is where this is where her brain is she thinks that he's like the hero

[01:08:53] of free speech, but it's it's I hate this woman because she has no case.

[01:08:58] There's nothing to argue if they didn't renew your contract.

[01:09:00] There's no you didn't get fired.

[01:09:04] There's literally what you're fighting for doesn't exist.

[01:09:07] Musk and Karano were both reprimanded by Disney over anti-Semitic posts.

[01:09:11] Musk shared a conspiracy theory that Jewish people supported hatred of whites and Karano

[01:09:16] likened the US political climate to Nazi Germany.

[01:09:19] Karano also shared a variety of transphobic posts that resulted in a string of HR meetings

[01:09:24] with LGBTQ plus reps that she referred to as Disney's reeducation camp.

[01:09:29] So that's what's going on.

[01:09:31] She is fighting back.

[01:09:32] She's very excited about it.

[01:09:35] But yeah, that's what I mean.

[01:09:36] So this is from the Daily Beast and like even they're saying she's fired, but my understanding

[01:09:40] is she was never hired.

[01:09:43] She completed her contract and then they just didn't move on with her character.

[01:09:47] But I don't know if they didn't and then they said it's because of this or or not, but

[01:09:51] yeah.

[01:09:52] I mean, I don't know what lawyer would take her case if she just if our contract just

[01:09:56] wants to be paid by Elon Musk.

[01:09:58] You know what I mean?

[01:09:59] Yeah.

[01:10:00] There's no shortage of dishonest lawyers.

[01:10:04] I mean, just look at them going on the last four years.

[01:10:06] You know, in election things or whatever.

[01:10:08] But here's some good news, Terran.

[01:10:09] Okay.

[01:10:10] And Eric, you can listen to if you want.

[01:10:11] Oh, okay.

[01:10:12] There's a woman in Florida who rang in her 106th birthday.

[01:10:18] Good job.

[01:10:19] That's awesome.

[01:10:20] With a visit to Walt Disney World for her very first time.

[01:10:24] Oh, that's so sweet.

[01:10:25] I also feel like it's a universal waste of time.

[01:10:29] Why?

[01:10:30] Because she can't go on any rise.

[01:10:32] You don't know that there are.

[01:10:33] She's a hundred and six.

[01:10:34] You should go on space mountain to blow her bag out.

[01:10:37] There are 106 year olds at my at my job where I work who you would think that they were

[01:10:44] 85.

[01:10:45] They are five year olds should not be going on space mountain.

[01:10:48] Sorry.

[01:10:49] I don't think that everybody's different.

[01:10:53] Everybody's different.

[01:10:54] Should they do?

[01:10:55] Everybody's different until you until you hit a hundred and six.

[01:10:58] Then you're all the same.

[01:11:00] You're big.

[01:11:01] Like those humbles that our grandparents used to put on shelves and they don't touch

[01:11:05] because they'll break if you look at them wrong.

[01:11:07] That's a hundred and six year old person.

[01:11:09] Okay.

[01:11:10] Counterpoint.

[01:11:11] You're wrong.

[01:11:12] We have gone to Disneyland many times where we've written maybe two rides.

[01:11:15] That's a lie.

[01:11:16] That is not a lie.

[01:11:17] I bet.

[01:11:18] I bet.

[01:11:19] What are the trips where I don't go on a ride?

[01:11:21] It is enjoyable just being within those doors.

[01:11:23] A Florida woman had a magical birthday celebration.

[01:11:26] Oh, but it was in Florida.

[01:11:27] It was in Florida.

[01:11:28] Yeah.

[01:11:29] That's the part of the story that I said.

[01:11:31] But in the beginning, did she go to?

[01:11:33] But it wasn't your typical birthday.

[01:11:35] Magnolia Jackson.

[01:11:37] What a southern bell name.

[01:11:39] Like that is you can't if I wrote a story and called my main character Magnolia Jackson.

[01:11:47] You would think it's either satire or just completely make your change.

[01:11:51] There's no way.

[01:11:52] Yeah.

[01:11:53] Yeah.

[01:11:54] 106 and had her family on hand to celebrate with the help of Walt Disney World and their

[01:11:58] cast members.

[01:11:59] Lively, magical watching her family come into the area and sing Mickey and Minnie and all

[01:12:04] the love and support from our cast members and community.

[01:12:07] You just felt the love she had in her heart and her excitement to be here said Disney

[01:12:11] Ambassador Shannon Smith Conrad Conrad.

[01:12:13] What's that?

[01:12:14] What did you say?

[01:12:15] Okay.

[01:12:16] Nothing.

[01:12:17] All right.

[01:12:18] Just check it.

[01:12:19] A fun fact about the birthday girl.

[01:12:20] The oldest living graduate of Bethan Cookman University and while attending the Florida classic

[01:12:26] college football game in Orlando last fall, her interest in Disney was sparked according

[01:12:31] to a press release from the theme park.

[01:12:33] She only just heard that company.

[01:12:34] She learned about it.

[01:12:35] Yeah.

[01:12:36] She's like, wait, does Disney?

[01:12:38] What are you talking about?

[01:12:40] Oh, you know, like Mickey Mouse Mickey.

[01:12:42] What is this?

[01:12:43] What do you guys think?

[01:12:44] No, that's not man.

[01:12:45] Just playing this too.

[01:12:46] All the time.

[01:12:47] Yeah.

[01:12:49] What do you want the theme park?

[01:12:52] What are you talking about?

[01:12:53] I don't understand frozen.

[01:12:54] What does that even mean?

[01:12:56] There are benches, Grandma.

[01:12:57] I love it.

[01:12:58] Well, she's in a wheelchair.

[01:13:00] So Jackson said when she saw Mickey Mouse perform on the field during that game and his

[01:13:04] drum major outfit.

[01:13:05] And that sounds like something Jeremy would be after.

[01:13:07] It fueled her desire.

[01:13:09] Like this is this reporting is awesome.

[01:13:11] Fueled her desire to celebrate at her to celebrate her birthday at Walt Disney World.

[01:13:17] Jackson was greeted by cheering cast members, Disney executives, Mickey and Minnie Mouse,

[01:13:22] music, balloons, and more.

[01:13:25] After the festivities, Jackson went on a tour around the park and got to spend some time

[01:13:28] with Princess Tiana from Princess in the frog.

[01:13:30] Tiana took her on Tron.

[01:13:32] They had to strap her in.

[01:13:36] They had to say no, she's not really a princess.

[01:13:39] She's an actress.

[01:13:40] And Jackson said, what are you talking about?

[01:13:43] What's an actress?

[01:13:44] And she said movies.

[01:13:45] She's like, what are you talking?

[01:13:46] What's a movie?

[01:13:47] Jackson who's an avid gamer.

[01:13:48] No, gardener, excuse me.

[01:13:50] Then headed to Epcot to enjoy the International Flower and Garden Festival where she got a special

[01:13:55] tour of the festival.

[01:13:56] Oh cool.

[01:13:57] So she had a park offer.

[01:13:58] Nice.

[01:13:59] Nice.

[01:14:00] That's cool.

[01:14:01] I'm teasing, but it's great.

[01:14:02] It's interesting that the park news she was coming.

[01:14:03] I'm sure they told them my great, great, great, great grandma who's 109 is going to be coming

[01:14:10] in park.

[01:14:11] What can you do?

[01:14:12] Right.

[01:14:14] Like, well, we could charge her full price.

[01:14:16] We'll also get her her plan.

[01:14:18] Yeah.

[01:14:19] Yeah.

[01:14:20] You know she didn't get free tickets.

[01:14:23] God, she should though.

[01:14:24] I mean, if she's in a wheelchair too, like then she's older than the company.

[01:14:27] That's true.

[01:14:28] She's older than the father.

[01:14:30] I mean, anybody, how old is the company?

[01:14:34] 100?

[01:14:35] Yeah.

[01:14:36] So anybody older than the company should get in free.

[01:14:38] That should be a policy no matter what company.

[01:14:41] There are three and over 100.

[01:14:43] Yeah, absolutely.

[01:14:47] You know what's funny?

[01:14:48] We're talking about the local beer at the Food and Wine Festival and I had an article

[01:14:52] about that too.

[01:14:53] Apparently there's 18 California breweries going to be there making everything from

[01:14:56] loggers.

[01:14:57] Get this.

[01:14:58] Have a whole list.

[01:14:59] Get this, Eric.

[01:15:00] These brewers are making everything from loggers to pilsners and effa wiseans to a host

[01:15:08] of India pale ale with a focus on local craft beer from San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County

[01:15:14] and specifically Anaheim.

[01:15:16] For those of you that's all of the beers for the uninitiated loggers, pilsners are

[01:15:23] loggers, but not all loggers are pilsners, but all pilsners are loggers.

[01:15:28] Well, it's actually not entirely true because you have a lot of them trying to like cheat

[01:15:31] the system.

[01:15:32] But yeah, if you do it right, theoretically, it's a loggers and pill.

[01:15:37] It's like saying chai tea.

[01:15:39] You're just saying tea tea.

[01:15:40] Yeah, or like DC, DC comics, the D in the C in DC comics stands for detective comics.

[01:15:50] So their name is literally detective comics comics.

[01:15:53] Yeah.

[01:15:54] So there you go.

[01:15:57] You said you had a list because okay, the Anaheim brewers at 24 24 fest include bottle

[01:16:03] logic brewery X golden road, which is not a craft brewery.

[01:16:07] It's owned by a major corporation.

[01:16:09] That's right.

[01:16:10] Noble and unsung or more brewers round out the Orange County field.

[01:16:14] Chapman crafted which I hear is really good.

[01:16:17] D Della hunt.

[01:16:19] Okay, left coast good beer and stereo never heard it further south San Diego counties

[01:16:25] represented by mission mother earth good beer and stone just up to five Los Angeles

[01:16:31] ascending kegs from crown and hops.

[01:16:33] Labo Daga and Eagle Rock my friends further north you have full circle in Fresno, Russian

[01:16:41] river and Sierra Nevada.

[01:16:42] There you go.

[01:16:43] Look at that bottle logic director Lindsey Lankton spent a decade at Disneyland working

[01:16:48] as a VP tour guide and the Napa Rose and Carthay Circle restaurants.

[01:16:53] Oh man.

[01:16:54] I want to get that'd be great.

[01:16:56] That'd be great to get around the show.

[01:16:57] Kid me now.

[01:16:58] It's back serving bottle logic fuzzy logic IP at the Disney food festival for Disney to

[01:17:03] seek out small craft businesses and really be so diligent about bringing the community

[01:17:07] in.

[01:17:08] Yeah, blah, blah.

[01:17:09] I've been saying this for years.

[01:17:10] I've been you guys long time listeners have remember this.

[01:17:15] I don't know what took Disney so long.

[01:17:17] I mean, I know at that little wine country tutorial or whatever they have like they've recently

[01:17:23] been doing a lot of California craft beers.

[01:17:25] But we first started going.

[01:17:26] We first started the show.

[01:17:27] Like why are we not doing this?

[01:17:29] Why is Disney not promoting California?

[01:17:33] This is a whole entire theme park about friggin California and you can't find you have maybe

[01:17:39] a couple of California.

[01:17:40] No, everything should be California.

[01:17:42] Give him a break.

[01:17:43] It took him 20 years.

[01:17:45] They figured it out.

[01:17:46] Yeah.

[01:17:47] It kind of tracks with the their music tastes and everything else.

[01:17:55] Yeah.

[01:17:56] Yeah.

[01:17:57] A little behind.

[01:17:58] Okay, real fast, the you know, the Disneyland forward whole thing that went to a vote recently

[01:18:04] in an aheim and apparently it was passed.

[01:18:06] So Disney lands $1.9 billion expansion plan moves forward.

[01:18:12] Disney marked a major milestone and it's nearly two billion multi decades long plan to

[01:18:17] change and expand the Disneyland resort.

[01:18:19] The Anaheim Planning Commission voted five to one after a nearly six hour meeting on Monday.

[01:18:25] To move the Disneyland forward project to the Anaheim City Council for approval.

[01:18:29] So there you go.

[01:18:30] So they're going to be some new zoning changes that were approved and it's moving forward

[01:18:36] everybody real quick up there on that.

[01:18:38] See, I have a thing about Disney so Disney company recently made some comments about

[01:18:46] Triann and Nelson Peltz who's trying to take over the company which I voted for.

[01:18:52] Yeah.

[01:18:53] And Triann responded and I don't really know what they're, I don't really know what

[01:18:57] they said but well, try and issue the following statement regarding Disney's recent communications.

[01:19:02] Trick quote, Triann is disappointed that Disney is running a scorched earth campaign that

[01:19:07] appears to be focused on deflecting attention from the board's failures.

[01:19:11] Triann loves the Walt Disney company and believes it has unparalleled assets and opportunities

[01:19:15] and every reason to grow and prosper.

[01:19:18] That is why the Triann group is one of Disney's largest shareholders with the stake worth

[01:19:22] more than $3.5 billion.

[01:19:24] Imagine how many people you can feed in house without much money, just as an aside note

[01:19:28] but that's right.

[01:19:30] Triann's only objective in this campaign is to help Disney and all its shareholders.

[01:19:34] But instead of recognizing our good faith and track record, Disney claims that we have

[01:19:38] a history of attacking companies and have infiltrated boards and we are seeking to create

[01:19:43] maximum disruption blah, blah, blah.

[01:19:46] So there's a big fight going on, a public fight and that's what I love.

[01:19:49] Oh yeah, it's juicy.

[01:19:50] In multi millionaires argue in public, I'll always watch.

[01:19:54] Oh yeah.

[01:19:55] Vague billionaires love Disney.

[01:19:58] Love it.

[01:19:59] It would love.

[01:20:01] I love a Disney.

[01:20:03] I love it.

[01:20:04] It's so good.

[01:20:05] It's funny because they're stuck.

[01:20:07] I got a check a while ago but I guess I was wrong.

[01:20:10] Yeah, it was 114 a couple of weeks ago.

[01:20:14] It's 112 now.

[01:20:15] It's been it's hubbren.

[01:20:16] It's been there.

[01:20:17] Yeah.

[01:20:19] It's been one, I ain't, dude.

[01:20:21] Just as an aside, real fast.

[01:20:22] And then I'm going to get to my game that I wrote when I wasn't paying a digital

[01:20:25] internet segment and then we'll go.

[01:20:27] Apple stock is at 173.

[01:20:28] Love it.

[01:20:29] Okay.

[01:20:30] Amazon 178.

[01:20:32] What do you think Netflix is at based on that?

[01:20:36] Amazon 178.

[01:20:38] All the things that are diversified through Amazon.

[01:20:40] Apple 173.

[01:20:41] I've heard that's not necessarily long term.

[01:20:44] Investment.

[01:20:45] Whatever.

[01:20:46] Netflix for $14.

[01:20:47] I have no idea.

[01:20:49] I have zero idea.

[01:20:50] I would guess my $200.

[01:20:52] $613.

[01:20:53] Brother.

[01:20:54] What?

[01:20:55] Yeah, for Netflix.

[01:20:56] Could you imagine if you invested in that when they were DVDs, you would be so rich right

[01:21:04] now.

[01:21:05] Dog.

[01:21:06] They're there.

[01:21:07] Original stock.

[01:21:08] I mean, this January, let me go to Max.

[01:21:15] They, it looks, they were at in 2005.

[01:21:18] Let's randomly June 25th 2004.

[01:21:21] Guess how much they were?

[01:21:23] 25.

[01:21:24] $4.57.

[01:21:26] If you put in, not to be like a CNBC headline, but like if you put in money at $457 and

[01:21:33] you just made so much cash.

[01:21:37] I mean, at one point in 2011, they were at 35 bucks and then they went down to nine, ten.

[01:21:44] And if you hung on, brother, you went on for the wildest of rides.

[01:21:49] Wow.

[01:21:50] You went, I mean, and when it hit 355 in 2018, you were probably like, oh man, I gotta get

[01:21:55] out.

[01:21:56] Then it went down to two and then it just dropped.

[01:21:58] That's insane.

[01:21:59] And then it went up.

[01:22:00] Oh my God.

[01:22:01] Can you believe that?

[01:22:03] It's not a meme coin, Terren.

[01:22:05] It's not crypto, but you know what he gonna do.

[01:22:07] All right, let's play my game.

[01:22:08] Okay.

[01:22:09] I don't have any music.

[01:22:12] All right, let's play game.

[01:22:14] Everybody, this game is called Disney or Dufus.

[01:22:18] So did I make this up?

[01:22:20] Or is it a Disney live action title?

[01:22:23] Okay.

[01:22:24] Okay.

[01:22:25] All right, I got four five things.

[01:22:27] Okay.

[01:22:28] Here we go.

[01:22:29] And it's multiple choice.

[01:22:30] Multiple choice.

[01:22:31] So I'm gonna give you four movie titles and you tell me which one I wrote.

[01:22:34] Okay.

[01:22:35] Number one, Tonka.

[01:22:36] Number two, the littlest outlaw.

[01:22:39] Number three, the great locomotive chase or four.

[01:22:42] My small heart.

[01:22:44] You wrote my small heart.

[01:22:45] Eric?

[01:22:46] I agree with Chan.

[01:22:47] You're right.

[01:22:48] My small heart.

[01:22:49] Stupid ass.

[01:22:50] All right.

[01:22:51] I like to think this gets harder, but I feel like you guys know me too well.

[01:23:01] All right.

[01:23:02] I'll give a little more time for the check plate too.

[01:23:05] Okay.

[01:23:06] Third man on the mountain.

[01:23:08] Or pet wolf, ten weeks with a circus, the shaggy dog.

[01:23:12] Eric, you go first.

[01:23:14] It was the second one that you wrote.

[01:23:17] What was that?

[01:23:18] My, my wolf or pet wolf?

[01:23:20] Our pet wolf.

[01:23:22] Our pet wolf, yes.

[01:23:23] Okay.

[01:23:24] Aaron.

[01:23:25] What was the first one?

[01:23:26] Ten, third man on the mountain, I think.

[01:23:27] I don't know.

[01:23:28] I'm doing these kind of outer orders though.

[01:23:29] Pay attention.

[01:23:30] So we have ten weeks with the circus, third man on the mountain, our pet wolf or the

[01:23:34] shaggy dog.

[01:23:35] Ten weeks on the circus.

[01:23:36] Ten weeks with the circus.

[01:23:38] Uh, Taren is wrong.

[01:23:41] Eric is correct.

[01:23:42] Oh, our pet wolf is one that I made.

[01:23:45] I've seen most of those.

[01:23:46] Okay.

[01:23:47] All right.

[01:23:48] So maybe this is a game for Taren.

[01:23:51] Here we go.

[01:23:53] Kidnapped.

[01:23:54] Timmy, the tallest boy, ten who dared, Nikki wild dog of the north.

[01:23:59] Oh no.

[01:24:00] Timmy's the tallest boy.

[01:24:02] Eric.

[01:24:03] What was what was the first one?

[01:24:06] Kidnapped.

[01:24:07] No, Taren is correct.

[01:24:08] Oh, the tallest boy.

[01:24:09] That sounds like something you would make up.

[01:24:10] What does that sound like?

[01:24:11] Something Disney would have made up too.

[01:24:12] You had said man, Timmy, the tallest man.

[01:24:13] Oh, you know, man.

[01:24:14] That's good.

[01:24:15] What man do you know, it's still called Timmy.

[01:24:16] I don't know, but it just sounded like something you would say at the dinner table.

[01:24:20] Timmy, the tallest boy.

[01:24:21] At least I knew ten who dared.

[01:24:23] I'm like, yeah, I know that one.

[01:24:25] That's when I thought I could get away with it because like ten who dared, I

[01:24:32] mean, that's the dumbest ten who dared.

[01:24:39] All right, I got two more here we go.

[01:24:43] Gray Fryer's Bobby, the true story of a dog, moon pilot.

[01:24:48] Well, it's gotta be whatever is next.

[01:24:55] He's made himself laugh.

[01:24:57] I can't.

[01:24:58] That's so stupid.

[01:24:59] That's such a dumb ass.

[01:25:04] Okay.

[01:25:05] Oh my god.

[01:25:07] Rick, the Mexican dog.

[01:25:12] My GI tract.

[01:25:15] That's not really what you wrote.

[01:25:18] Okay.

[01:25:19] Okay.

[01:25:20] Gray Fryer's Bobby, the true story of a dog, moon pilot.

[01:25:25] The John Voyage.

[01:25:26] Oh my god.

[01:25:27] Press in the jar.

[01:25:30] Press in the jar.

[01:25:32] Press in the jar.

[01:25:33] Press in the jar.

[01:25:35] Press in the jar.

[01:25:36] Press in the jar.

[01:25:37] How I go with that one?

[01:25:39] How would you know?

[01:25:40] Press in the jar.

[01:25:41] Oh wow.

[01:25:42] Press in the jar.

[01:25:43] That classic Irish song.

[01:25:45] I'm not sure if it's a little bit of a joke.

[01:25:49] Oh wow.

[01:25:50] Press in the jar.

[01:25:51] I'm not sure if it's a little bit of a joke.

[01:25:52] That classic Irish song.

[01:25:53] There's breath in the jar.

[01:25:54] Oh they took the breath in the jar.

[01:25:55] The English came with a breath in the jar.

[01:25:56] They opened it up, they came from here and far.

[01:25:59] Oh my god one more.

[01:26:00] Okay.

[01:26:01] Sorry.

[01:26:02] Can you handle it?

[01:26:03] The legend of Lobo, almost angels.

[01:26:06] The boys from Thunder Ranch.

[01:26:08] Big red.

[01:26:09] Eric.

[01:26:10] Oh that's tough.

[01:26:11] Yeah.

[01:26:12] Oh.

[01:26:13] Oh my god.

[01:26:14] I'm not sure if it's a little bit of a joke.

[01:26:15] I'm not sure if it's a little bit of a joke.

[01:26:16] I'm not sure if it's a little bit of a joke.

[01:26:17] I'm not sure if it's a little bit of a joke.

[01:26:18] Oh.

[01:26:19] I don't know any of those.

[01:26:20] It's better because I got used to the naming scheme.

[01:26:24] We'll clear it right.

[01:26:25] Right.

[01:26:26] You know, the last one wasn't but I'm going to go big red, Terran.

[01:26:29] The boys from Thunder Ranch.

[01:26:30] The boys from Thunder Ranch.

[01:26:31] Oh absolutely right.

[01:26:32] Oh.

[01:26:33] The boys from Thunder Ranch.

[01:26:34] I just know that you watched the term boys for like everything.

[01:26:42] That's not why but like I because I wrote Thunder Ranch and I was like wait a minute.

[01:26:46] No, I have to be like something from a thing right.

[01:26:50] It's like origin story problematic thing or whatever but well that was a fun game.

[01:26:55] Thanks.

[01:26:56] That was good.

[01:26:57] Thank you.

[01:26:58] The chat the chat participated.

[01:26:59] I'll go.

[01:27:00] Ryan agreed with me.

[01:27:01] Big red seemed like that was the most likely.

[01:27:04] But the boys from Thunder Ranch.

[01:27:08] Pretty good.

[01:27:10] Oh man.

[01:27:12] Well, you know what everybody we had fun today.

[01:27:25] Why does my thing rotate off?

[01:27:27] Press in the jar like where it wouldn't even made you think of that.

[01:27:31] You don't know you know what I'm too creative.

[01:27:33] Terran, that's just what it is.
