[00:00:30] Episode of Bantha Milk Podcast. I don't seem to remember no at Aten. You lie. Yes, it is. Indeed. How are you? Indeed. I am wonderful. How are you? I'm doing all right. We're Bantha Milk Podcast. We're back at you live. Yeah. If you're watching this live. If you're not watching or listening to this live, then we are not back at you live. We're back at you at a later date. At a later date. Some other day. But we are here right now live. Here. And we're ready to talk. We have yet another episode. Episode four.
[00:01:24] Of Skeleton. Skeleton crew. I think it's pronounced Skeleton. Skeleton. That's the French version. It's the long A. The long A. It's got the line over top. The umlaut A. Yep. So yeah. And it's getting cold outside. You can tell because it's a little dreary out there and Rob's beard has made its return again. It's coming in because I've got to protect my face for the winter. From the harsh elements. From the harsh elements here in New Jersey. Either that or the drones they can x-ray through. I don't want them to see my face. No, no.
[00:01:53] You look up at the at the drone as they look down to you. They go. That's not Rob. That's some man with a beard. That's some other man with a beard. I have no idea who that is. Disengage. Abort mission. Abort. Abort. Abort. Anyway. So yeah. Band of the Milk podcast. Yes. We're here. We are here. We're here to talk about Goonies. Goonies. Goonies in space. What do you think of the episode? Ooh. I liked it. It was fun.
[00:02:16] Um. Not as many Easter eggs. There was definitely a part that they could have said one of the most classic 80s lines of all time. And when we get there, I will definitely enunciate that. Ready for it. Um. But uh. But yeah. It's it's still fun. Um. I think. Just like what I was thinking before, we're going to be jumping around from planet to planet to planet.
[00:02:40] But I think this set up why we're going from planet to planet and what the planet to planets are. Um. It's good story building. And this week was also fun because we got a little deep dive on Neil. Yeah. A little blue elephant friend. Yeah. They definitely leaned into like, you know, uh, like you said, a deep dive into the psyche. Yes.
[00:03:01] Of our small blue elephant time creature. Yes. Uh. And I did like that. They, they, they peeled him apart like an onion and exposed all the layers. Yes. That's exactly what they did. Like Shrek. That's right. Ogres have layers. Yes. Like parfait. So like parfait. And so do blue elephant people. Yeah. Thanks. Uh, I also have later on, uh, deep dive about him as well for you. So there we go. I know you're very excited about that. I am. Uh, let's talk about all of our friends.
[00:03:31] Friends. Over on. So Steve over. Oh, ears up. I know. Not those friends. Silly goose. Ears up. Uh, last night. If you go to Twitch, you can see this show that we recorded last night on ears up every Christmas. They do letters to Santa Iger, um, asking for nice things from, for Christmas from Santa Claus, from Santa Iger. So I was on Bob Iger. That's Bob Iger. The head of the Walt Disney
[00:04:01] company. Yeah. Um, our good friend, RGH from puny pod, which is the other, one of the other shows on the network. He was on as well. Good. Good. Uh, Eric was there of course, cause Eric's on every other show in almost every other show on the network.
[00:04:15] Ears up a sphere on the ears up a sphere, including ears up, uh, Jason and Taryn. We all wrote our letters to Santa Iger and then they're on West coast time. So after we read our letters, I left and then they continue on. But were you a good boy this year?
[00:04:31] I doubt it, but I was, what did you ask for? I asked for him to make all the shows that they promised us and didn't deliver all the star Wars shows that they promised us and didn't deliver. I also asked for, I really hope we get this, uh, star Wars, the musical. Oh man. I'm honestly amazed. We don't have that. I am. So I had a Harry Potter. We have Harry Potter. We have back to the future. Yeah. There was beetle juice. Beetle juice. There was corn. The musical with a C, uh,
[00:05:00] like a musical about corn, about corn. Yeah. Not like a musical about corn. The band. No, not the band. Yeah. With a K. No. Uh, there was an, I would watch either musical. Trey went and saw the corn musical. He, it was, it was a comedy because I think it has to be. I don't know. I don't know how you make a drama corn musical.
[00:05:19] You know, Cisco and Ebert say, well, you'll, you won't leave without a tear in your eye. I don't know about that. Uh, but he enjoyed it. So Ebert, that was a real throwback. That was a throwback. I don't think anyone even knows who Cisco and Ebert is anymore. I know one of them is. I think Ebert died a long time ago. I don't even know if Cisco, I think Cisco might still. It was Cisco and Roper, right? Oh, that was the next guy. That was the next guy I took over for Ebert. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, they did the thumbs though. They did two thumbs up. Yeah. Um, and, uh, so yeah, so I asked for a couple of things.
[00:05:47] Things like that, whatever. Uh, I thought I, I thought it was fun. Uh, it was a good time. So I don't know. You need to make sure you leave your milk and cookies out for Santa Eiger. That's right. Just in case. Let him get those milk and cookies. So the bag of, uh, unmarked bills, just 20,000 in, in, in, in. Yeah. And that's just, that's just a walk in the park. That's right. Um, so yeah, so we did that. That was fun. And I don't know when it's coming out in podcast form, probably after this, because we're posting this today.
[00:06:17] Uh, but you know, look for that. I did that. And so we got the puny pod guys. Oh no. We got the, uh, ears up guys and girl. We have scraping the vaults, which those people are dig deep into the, uh, movies, all the movies, the sequel movies, uh, the Supreme resort. They, you know, they compare what's better.
[00:06:42] Or Disneyland or Disney world tacos or burritos, you know, and then us and puny pot. I think that's all of us. Oh, and then there's a new one that, uh, something boys, the, uh, Buena Vista boys, Jason and some other guy, I think his name's Mike.
[00:06:55] They do what the, what, not the Supreme resort, but the other one, the, what's one that I said earlier where they watch the old movies. They, these guys watch scraping the vault.
[00:07:07] Yeah. These guys are watching old Buena Vista movies as opposed to scraping the vault, which watches movies that were released directly to VHS or DVD. So all those shows on the ears up network, check them all out.
[00:07:21] Plus off the ears up network. Of course there is your team sucks. Your team sucks podcast. We're an Eagles fan and a Cowboys fan argue about how, well, we don't really get to argue this season because the Eagles are doing a phenomenal job and the Cowboys are sucking. So, uh, yeah. So check that out. That's me and another guy. Yeah, I know. Whatever. I thought, Hey, it'll be great idea. You know, the Cowboys are really good. The Eagles are mediocre.
[00:07:45] You picked a hell of a year to start. I picked it worst year to start this podcast. Yeah. So we do that as well. So check that out as well. Um, Oh wait, what was some of the news? Oh darn it. All right. Well, um, there was something that I thought was really funny in the news and now I can't remember in star Wars news. We'll skip over that for now, but I did last show.
[00:08:05] I was talking about the star Wars, the life day cookbook that, uh, they talked about on, um, office ladies and look how thick it is considering that the end of it was, um, different things to fill fluff. Um, they actually have quite a few recipes in here. I thought it was going to be only like six recipes. Um, but no, quite a few recipes. So Nick wants me to read him a recipe kind of like it was the night before Christmas. Yeah. Like you have your readers on.
[00:08:35] I have my readers on. You got to like show it to the kids. Like illustrations, hold up the little illustrations for each page. Yes. So, um, trying to get, Oh, I see why it's so thick. The pages are super thick.
[00:08:46] Ah, all right. We have appletters.
[00:08:48] It's like one of my daughter's books where like at the very end, it's just one giant thick piece of cardboard.
[00:08:53] Super thick piece of cardboard. Yes. Uh, appetizer, side dishes, main courses, desserts, drinks, or how to celebrate life day at home. What do you want? What category?
[00:09:02] Uh, I mean, we're just starting out. Why don't you hit me with an appetizer?
[00:09:05] Appetizer. All right. We have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 10 choices. Pick one, pick a number between one and 10.
[00:09:14] Okay. A number between one and 10. That's a tough one. Um, so many options. I can, yeah, I could do six or I could do four.
[00:09:19] You could. Yeah. They're both numbers. Three is also a number.
[00:09:22] 11 is off the table.
[00:09:23] 11 is off the table.
[00:09:24] Let's go with eight.
[00:09:24] Eight. All right. So you picked crab puffs.
[00:09:27] Ooh.
[00:09:27] Ooh. Crab puffs. Now let's think about life day and if there were any crabs in life day, I don't think there was.
[00:09:33] Are there crabs in space?
[00:09:34] I don't know. Space crabs.
[00:09:35] Space crabs. So crab puffs.
[00:09:37] That's not something you want to get.
[00:09:38] I know.
[00:09:39] A while back, I found myself stranded at a port on the aquatic world of Mon Cala while getting, getting with an N apostrophe, some much needed maintenance on my trusty food freighter.
[00:09:52] While I was waiting for the repairs, I ventured into a nearby watering hole and to get myself a bit more familiar with the local cuisine.
[00:10:03] After a few hours trading recipes with the joint Mon Calamari chef, he told me about a special crab stuff puff that his people make to celebrate life day.
[00:10:13] The strange secret to this nautical nibble, the tiny crabs inside the puffs were still alive.
[00:10:21] Dun, dun, dun.
[00:10:23] Personally, I prefer a tasty bite that doesn't bite back.
[00:10:28] So I made my own deep fried variation.
[00:10:31] This one captures the flavor of the Mon Calamari original, but without the risk of any claws up in your craw.
[00:10:39] Claws in your craw.
[00:10:41] Claws in your craw.
[00:10:42] You don't want that.
[00:10:42] So one pound of lump crab cake.
[00:10:45] One garlic clove, minced.
[00:10:48] One large egg, lightly beaten.
[00:10:51] Two tablespoons of mayonnaise.
[00:10:53] Two tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese.
[00:10:56] One teaspoon lemon juice.
[00:10:58] A half a teaspoon onion powder.
[00:11:00] Half a teaspoon paprika.
[00:11:01] Half a teaspoon salt.
[00:11:03] Quarter teaspoon black pepper.
[00:11:05] One cup panko breadcrumbs.
[00:11:08] Two cups vegetable oil for frying.
[00:11:10] One tablespoon minced fresh parsley.
[00:11:14] Prep time, five minutes.
[00:11:16] So to be clear, these are just crab cakes.
[00:11:18] These are crab cakes.
[00:11:21] This is a crab cake.
[00:11:23] This is crab cakes.
[00:11:24] Yeah, basically that's it.
[00:11:26] Yield 12 servings.
[00:11:27] Difficulty?
[00:11:28] Medium.
[00:11:28] All right.
[00:11:29] Yep.
[00:11:30] Yep.
[00:11:30] In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, garlic, egg, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice,
[00:11:34] onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper.
[00:11:36] Fold the mixture together until...
[00:11:37] Fold it.
[00:11:38] You got to fold it in.
[00:11:39] You got to fold it in.
[00:11:40] Until just combined.
[00:11:42] Scoop and roll the mixture into one inch balls.
[00:11:46] Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow dish.
[00:11:49] Then roll each bowl.
[00:11:50] I like to say ball.
[00:11:51] Ball.
[00:11:52] Ball.
[00:11:53] In the breadcrumbs.
[00:11:54] Set aside.
[00:11:55] In a Dutch oven.
[00:11:57] And we're not talking about that kind of Dutch oven.
[00:11:59] Come on now, Rob.
[00:12:00] It's a family show.
[00:12:01] Over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil to 350, working in batches to avoid overcrowding.
[00:12:06] Add the balls and fry about for three minutes or until golden brown.
[00:12:09] Let the balls drain on the wire rack, then sprinkle with parsley and serve.
[00:12:13] I feel like this is what we need to do with our TikTok.
[00:12:16] I think so.
[00:12:16] We see all these cooking things.
[00:12:18] I think...
[00:12:19] We'll just start doing Star Wars crab cakes.
[00:12:21] Cameron likes to cook.
[00:12:22] I think I'm going to make her cook for our TikTok.
[00:12:24] It's going to blow up.
[00:12:25] And then, you know, we can do to eat with him because I...
[00:12:27] You know, it is...
[00:12:28] It was our last day of school today before the holiday.
[00:12:32] And one of my students got me some chopsticks.
[00:12:34] Oh, I have those also.
[00:12:37] Yeah, I had never gotten...
[00:12:37] So, like, if you're looking on our YouTube feed right now, I got lightsaber chopsticks.
[00:12:41] Lightsaber chopsticks.
[00:12:42] Right?
[00:12:42] A green and a red.
[00:12:44] I didn't know they were different colors.
[00:12:45] And I think you can push the buttons and they will change colors.
[00:12:48] Really?
[00:12:48] Yeah.
[00:12:49] I mean, I push the button and it turns it off.
[00:12:52] So, I don't know.
[00:12:52] I'll have to do some more experimenting.
[00:12:53] Yeah, do some more experimenting.
[00:12:54] Because the ones that I had, you went through, like, 17 different colors.
[00:12:59] But, yeah, that's really cool, though.
[00:13:00] Red and green.
[00:13:01] Downfall, because they're super smooth plastic.
[00:13:05] They're really hard to actually hold.
[00:13:07] They slip in your hand.
[00:13:08] Yeah.
[00:13:08] I can't exactly imagine I'm going to use them as chopsticks.
[00:13:11] No.
[00:13:11] But they are pretty cool.
[00:13:13] Don't put them in the dishwasher.
[00:13:14] Yeah, I can't imagine that would be a good thing either, for sure.
[00:13:17] They then just become clear sticks if you put them in the dishwasher.
[00:13:20] But they are super cool.
[00:13:21] Two more.
[00:13:22] Oh, you have two pairs.
[00:13:22] All right.
[00:13:24] Oh, that's purple.
[00:13:25] That one's...
[00:13:26] Is that...
[00:13:28] Yeah, that's blue, maybe.
[00:13:29] Yeah.
[00:13:30] And then this one is not working.
[00:13:33] Not working.
[00:13:34] There it goes.
[00:13:35] Red.
[00:13:35] Okay.
[00:13:36] All right.
[00:13:36] Two reds, a blue, and a green.
[00:13:37] There you go.
[00:13:38] Very cool.
[00:13:39] Well, that's awfully nice of them.
[00:13:40] Yes.
[00:13:41] That is very nice of them.
[00:13:43] Good.
[00:13:43] I am cracking open a Dr. Pepper while you drink a Red Bull.
[00:13:47] Yeah.
[00:13:47] Today's episode brought to you by caffeine.
[00:13:49] Mm-hmm.
[00:13:50] Because we're teachers, and it's the middle of the day.
[00:13:53] It's the middle of the day.
[00:13:55] It is.
[00:13:55] All right.
[00:13:55] I'm going to take a sip of my...
[00:13:57] This gives you wings, don't you know?
[00:13:58] It does.
[00:13:59] It gives you wings.
[00:14:00] All right.
[00:14:01] On that note, let's take a quick commercial break.
[00:14:04] Actually, let's take a commercial break on this note.
[00:14:06] Me, me, me.
[00:14:11] And we're back.
[00:14:12] You like that, right?
[00:14:14] I saw you.
[00:14:14] You're like...
[00:14:16] I was like, I'll go with this.
[00:14:18] I like it.
[00:14:19] I'll go with this.
[00:14:19] It's wonderful.
[00:14:21] And we are back to talk about the skeleton crew.
[00:14:24] The skeleton crew.
[00:14:26] The crew of the skeleton, as it's called in Myanmar.
[00:14:29] That's how they call it.
[00:14:30] I don't know that.
[00:14:31] But anyway, we already talked a little bit about how we felt.
[00:14:34] Yeah, I did like the episode.
[00:14:36] I thought I had parts of the episode.
[00:14:39] It was like ups and downs.
[00:14:40] Like I wasn't super into the child army portion of the episode.
[00:14:46] Right.
[00:14:46] I was kind of bored.
[00:14:47] Yeah.
[00:14:48] But I did like gleaning more info on Neil.
[00:14:51] I really liked the beginning when they kind of landed at this new...
[00:14:56] Yes.
[00:14:56] What they thought was at Attenham was not.
[00:14:58] And we're trying to figure that out.
[00:14:59] And I did like the end.
[00:15:00] I feel like a lot of stuff kind of happened.
[00:15:02] That middle section was just a little slow for me.
[00:15:04] Yeah.
[00:15:05] The middle section was interesting.
[00:15:06] Like it was almost like they were sacrificing the new kids.
[00:15:11] Yeah.
[00:15:11] Because it was like, oh, no, you're going to lead the charge.
[00:15:13] Because if you die, who cares?
[00:15:15] Yeah.
[00:15:16] And my take on that was like, you know, the dude who was like leading his little child army.
[00:15:22] You know, it's like, you know, I don't know that he was necessarily like a bad dude.
[00:15:29] But, you know, he does run a child army.
[00:15:33] Right.
[00:15:34] He runs a child army.
[00:15:35] You know, he found these four soldiers that just wandered in that weren't his daughter.
[00:15:40] Yeah.
[00:15:40] And so they were like, well, I could send my daughter in or I could send these four randos.
[00:15:44] I could send these randos in first.
[00:15:45] So he kind of saw them as expendable, which isn't great.
[00:15:47] No.
[00:15:48] But, you know, it's not a great character trait.
[00:15:50] But, yeah, it was a little strange.
[00:15:52] Yeah, a little strange.
[00:15:53] All right.
[00:15:53] So let's break it down.
[00:15:55] Break it down.
[00:15:55] Break it down.
[00:15:57] In the beginning, I'd like to...
[00:15:59] It opens, obviously, you know, last episode ended with them space jumping to what they thought was going to be at Aden.
[00:16:06] So they're in space.
[00:16:08] And this was a little weird.
[00:16:10] They zoom in on the cockpit.
[00:16:13] And what's her name?
[00:16:15] Fern says, hey, no adults in the cockpit.
[00:16:17] That's right.
[00:16:19] Now, suddenly the kids learn how to fly a spaceship so they don't need the adult anymore to fly the spaceship.
[00:16:27] I'm a little confused about that because he taught them.
[00:16:29] He took them to the rock, to the asteroid, because he knew how to fly.
[00:16:35] Now, suddenly they don't need him anymore.
[00:16:37] I was a little confused by that statement.
[00:16:39] Yeah, it seems like kind of a ham-fisted way for the writers to, like, at the beginning of the episode, say, hey, this guy's an outsider.
[00:16:48] We don't like and trust him.
[00:16:50] Yeah.
[00:16:50] And so that at the end of the episode, they can be like, oh, look, he came back and helped us.
[00:16:55] We can kind of trust him.
[00:16:56] We can start to trust him now type of thing.
[00:16:57] Yeah, it also bounces off of the at the end of the last episode where she was like, no, we're not a team.
[00:17:05] Right.
[00:17:05] You work for me.
[00:17:06] You work for me type of thing.
[00:17:07] So Wim said Wim was sad that they were going home.
[00:17:12] Yes.
[00:17:12] Because he sees the planet.
[00:17:13] He's like, oh, man.
[00:17:15] So he was in like he was in like a little video game yesterday shooting at X-Wings with a freaking giant blaster.
[00:17:23] Yeah.
[00:17:23] Yeah.
[00:17:23] Now he has to go back to the suburbs and, like, go to school.
[00:17:26] Go back to school.
[00:17:27] So it's funny because he's thinking about this as the adventure that it is.
[00:17:34] But he has no thought that he could die at any moment.
[00:17:41] Yeah.
[00:17:42] And that's yeah.
[00:17:43] And that's what this this I guess episode is kind of it kind of does for him.
[00:17:47] It exposes that like the beginning.
[00:17:50] He is this.
[00:17:50] Yeah.
[00:17:51] He has no idea.
[00:17:52] Doesn't understand the implications of everything.
[00:17:54] And then all of a sudden he's a part of a child army.
[00:17:57] And he's like, oh, wait a minute.
[00:17:58] Yeah.
[00:17:59] His friend.
[00:17:59] They even talk about that at the end of the episode.
[00:18:01] Him and Wim.
[00:18:02] She's like, oh, I don't know what I'm doing.
[00:18:05] Yeah.
[00:18:05] Fern.
[00:18:05] Fern says, I don't know what I'm doing.
[00:18:07] Yeah.
[00:18:07] So, yeah.
[00:18:08] No, there was some good character development.
[00:18:10] Yeah.
[00:18:10] And I think that's why the middle felt slow for me because not a lot happened.
[00:18:14] But they did spend a good amount of that time developing the characters.
[00:18:19] Yes.
[00:18:20] Yeah.
[00:18:20] So, it was definitely good for that.
[00:18:22] Then the ship suddenly goes into autopilot and they start to panic.
[00:18:26] And 33 is sitting there.
[00:18:28] And he's like, oh, I'll just cancel it and I'll land the ship myself right next to a playground.
[00:18:33] Which they walk off and they realize this is not at Atten.
[00:18:38] So, your immediate thoughts when they land and you see it's at Atten but all blown to smithereens.
[00:18:44] Did you have any thoughts?
[00:18:46] Because I thought like, all right, are they going to try and pull some time travel-y stuff here where they came back and all of a sudden because of the nebula they're in a different time.
[00:18:54] I'm glad they didn't.
[00:18:55] But that's where my brain went.
[00:18:57] My brain is thinking, okay, we have eight episodes.
[00:19:01] Right.
[00:19:01] We're going to be jumping from planet to planet to planet.
[00:19:05] What these planets are, I don't know.
[00:19:07] So, as soon as we landed, I was like, okay, this definitely, for a split second, I was like, oh my gosh, something happened while they were gone.
[00:19:15] But then I was like, no, this is just a, they're on the wrong planet.
[00:19:19] Because it would have been, episode four is too early to get to the home planet even if something is blown up.
[00:19:24] Like, you can't have four episodes of figuring out what happened to your home planet.
[00:19:29] That's like one episode.
[00:19:30] So, I wasn't like, oh, time jump.
[00:19:34] Even like Wim said, oh, maybe we were asleep for 100 years.
[00:19:37] Yeah.
[00:19:38] And then I did hear him say that and I went, oh, that's right.
[00:19:40] Yeah.
[00:19:40] And I'm like, do you remember going into a, like a sleeping bed for 100?
[00:19:46] Like, you would have to put yourself into that state somehow.
[00:19:50] So, then they land and the droid 33 is like, oh, this is at Akron.
[00:19:56] Right.
[00:19:57] He's like, I've been here before.
[00:19:58] Sure.
[00:20:00] And the kids still were like, they run out, they go out.
[00:20:05] And I love John, June, Joan, Job.
[00:20:09] Job.
[00:20:10] Not Job.
[00:20:11] Job.
[00:20:11] Job.
[00:20:12] Jan.
[00:20:13] Whatever his name is.
[00:20:15] Jude Law, whatever Jude Law's name is.
[00:20:17] He was like, oh, it tastes ashy like my home world.
[00:20:21] So, what home world do you think he's from if it's ashy?
[00:20:26] Yeah, I don't know.
[00:20:27] Maybe a mandalore.
[00:20:31] I don't know.
[00:20:32] Mandalore got blown to smithereens.
[00:20:33] Mandalore got blown to smithereens.
[00:20:34] Jod.
[00:20:35] I know it's on the way to J.
[00:20:36] Yeah, it was.
[00:20:37] You were close with Job.
[00:20:38] Screen Crush thinks he could be referencing Mustafar because not all of Mustafar is the
[00:20:45] lava fields where you have to have the higher ground if you want to win.
[00:20:48] The other half of Mustafar, there has been people, they've shown other clips where the rest of
[00:20:55] it is burnout and ashy like this.
[00:20:57] And apparently the Sith would take Jedi children there to train them to be Siths.
[00:21:04] Interesting.
[00:21:04] So, if that's the case, we do know that he has some sort of Force powers.
[00:21:10] Oh.
[00:21:10] So, that may be a way that he could be trained in the Force.
[00:21:16] Not as a Jedi, but as a Sith, but also decide that he didn't want to do that and leave.
[00:21:21] Interesting.
[00:21:22] So, interesting.
[00:21:23] So, I don't know.
[00:21:23] So, it could be Mustafar.
[00:21:24] Mustafar.
[00:21:25] And then I liked Initiating Babysitting Sequence.
[00:21:28] Yes.
[00:21:28] Yeah, that was a very hysterical sequence for me.
[00:21:32] Come on, baby.
[00:21:33] Yes.
[00:21:34] Yeah, I was actually, especially, you know, because we've talked about, I really like his
[00:21:38] character.
[00:21:39] I was worried at the end that they were going to like, all right, well, we're done with
[00:21:41] Smee now.
[00:21:42] Yeah.
[00:21:42] But it looks like we got more of him to come, so that's good.
[00:21:44] That is good.
[00:21:45] So, then the kids just run off.
[00:21:47] Now, maybe I'm thinking as an adult and not thinking as a kid.
[00:21:52] That's likely.
[00:21:53] And I think that's what they're trying to lean in, especially in this episode.
[00:21:57] You're on a planet that's destroyed, looks like, and they're just like, oh, we're going
[00:22:03] to go run around and see what we can find.
[00:22:04] Yeah.
[00:22:05] Without adult, you stay.
[00:22:07] The adult who can use the force.
[00:22:10] We've seen him move things.
[00:22:11] You stay with the robot that has protected us on several occasions.
[00:22:15] Yes.
[00:22:15] The two strongest people here will go.
[00:22:19] And adult and robot stay behind.
[00:22:22] Yeah.
[00:22:22] Protect the ship.
[00:22:23] I was a little confused about that, but whatever.
[00:22:25] I think it's also like me trying to be nitpicky now.
[00:22:28] So, then they find a house which looks very similar to their homes.
[00:22:32] It even had the same mural on the wall.
[00:22:38] Oh.
[00:22:39] But it was definitely burned down and whatever.
[00:22:43] And they were talking about the tree and how big it is and how it couldn't have been
[00:22:48] there.
[00:22:48] And that's when Wim was like, oh, maybe we were asleep for 100 years.
[00:22:51] Right.
[00:22:52] But did you ever see this episode reminded me a little bit of it?
[00:22:56] The TV series, the 100 on WB?
[00:23:00] No.
[00:23:01] Okay.
[00:23:01] So, people leave a starship, leave somewhere, whatever, takes place in the future.
[00:23:07] But then the starship, something happens to it and it's losing oxygen.
[00:23:12] They're lost in space.
[00:23:13] They find this planet that can support life.
[00:23:16] But they only have this spaceship that can take them down to the planet, can only hold 100
[00:23:25] people.
[00:23:26] I forget the whole premise.
[00:23:27] But anyway, they send 100 kids down.
[00:23:29] Okay.
[00:23:30] While the adults, they needed to also free up some space, less people on the ship so that
[00:23:35] everybody wouldn't be using oxygen, whatever.
[00:23:38] So, they send 100 kids down onto this desolate planet.
[00:23:42] While they're there, they discover that there are people living there and all that stuff like
[00:23:45] natives who are still, the planet was destroyed as well and blah, blah, blah.
[00:23:49] This just reminded me of that a lot.
[00:23:51] Like Lord of the Flies.
[00:23:51] Kind of like Lord of the Flies as well, yeah, where the kids were running everything.
[00:23:54] So, yeah.
[00:23:56] So, when I saw this, it made me think of that a little bit.
[00:23:59] But anyway.
[00:24:00] So, yeah.
[00:24:00] So, the same memorial is on the wall.
[00:24:03] Job.
[00:24:03] What's the name?
[00:24:04] Jod.
[00:24:04] Jod.
[00:24:05] I have an A in here.
[00:24:06] Let me change that.
[00:24:07] So, Jod starts rummaging through things back on the ship.
[00:24:10] He finds the hollow of, once again.
[00:24:13] Yeah.
[00:24:13] The Christmas special.
[00:24:14] The Christmas special.
[00:24:16] And then gold.
[00:24:17] And he pockets the gold.
[00:24:18] And then 33 attacks him.
[00:24:20] And he's like, we have a thief on the ship.
[00:24:22] Right.
[00:24:23] And he's like, no, no, no.
[00:24:23] The person I'm now programmed to babysit.
[00:24:25] Yeah.
[00:24:26] And he's like, no.
[00:24:27] He's like, it's me.
[00:24:28] It's Jod.
[00:24:29] And he's like, oh, Akron is playing tricks with my memory circuits.
[00:24:34] And that's when he was like, wait, you've been here?
[00:24:36] You know this?
[00:24:37] Right.
[00:24:37] Right.
[00:24:37] And he's now trying to dig out of him how to get to Adden because he realizes that it's
[00:24:45] in there somewhere.
[00:24:46] But he's just trying to get to it.
[00:24:49] Luckily, he wasn't tripping the right circuits.
[00:24:54] Right.
[00:24:54] He didn't know the secret passcode.
[00:24:56] Yeah.
[00:24:56] Like Fern knew later.
[00:24:57] Like Fern knew later.
[00:24:58] Because otherwise he would have been serious trouble.
[00:25:00] Yeah.
[00:25:02] So then the kids get attacked by other kids.
[00:25:05] This is the Lord of the Flies.
[00:25:06] What flag do you fly?
[00:25:10] It's almost a weird question.
[00:25:11] It is a weird question to ask.
[00:25:13] And then we are.
[00:25:14] I'm just going to start greeting people on the streets like that.
[00:25:16] Random people.
[00:25:16] What flag do you fly?
[00:25:17] What flag do you fly?
[00:25:19] We are Toki.
[00:25:20] The bus that they go into and hide had a broken RX droid in it.
[00:25:24] So now you're seeing that this everything about this planet is identical.
[00:25:29] So I want to find out like what all these at planets.
[00:25:34] Right.
[00:25:35] Because even this planet still had a whole variety of species on it in the murals and
[00:25:40] people who were in when we jump ahead a little bit in the school.
[00:25:48] Bunch of different species there.
[00:25:51] Similar architecture.
[00:25:52] Now the one thing I did read that I didn't realize until I kind of thought back about
[00:25:56] it.
[00:25:57] They do have all the same species on that on that and on this except for Neil's species.
[00:26:03] Yeah.
[00:26:04] We didn't see any of Neil's species.
[00:26:05] I don't know if that's an omission or else we're going to learn why.
[00:26:09] Yeah.
[00:26:09] Like what happened to.
[00:26:10] I don't know.
[00:26:10] It was just an interesting omission.
[00:26:11] It was an interesting omission.
[00:26:13] That is interesting.
[00:26:15] It'll be interesting if they go to when they go to the next at planet, which is what
[00:26:19] I'm assuming is going to happen if there's any Neil species there.
[00:26:22] So look ahead.
[00:26:24] Look at what next episode.
[00:26:26] Look and see if we find any Neil species.
[00:26:28] Spot the elephant.
[00:26:29] Spot the blue elephant.
[00:26:30] Spot.
[00:26:31] So then they go in and hide broken arcs.
[00:26:33] Right.
[00:26:33] All nine planets.
[00:26:34] OK.
[00:26:35] Uh, the enemy has what looks like an old Republic cannon.
[00:26:40] Yeah.
[00:26:40] Which is neat.
[00:26:42] Uh, Ryan Harry said it was different.
[00:26:45] I couldn't tell that it was that much different.
[00:26:47] I have a feeling that it was obviously a based off of the same thing.
[00:26:51] Like that would.
[00:26:52] Why not?
[00:26:53] And then.
[00:26:53] So then they go back to the school.
[00:26:55] Uh, and at this point, this is when Wim starts to realize, ah, maybe my planet's not
[00:26:59] so bad.
[00:27:00] Yeah.
[00:27:00] Like this is, this world is a little different and not as fun as my boring planet is.
[00:27:08] Um, they meet the litter leader and he tells them about the fallen sanctum and how hard
[00:27:14] it is to get there.
[00:27:16] Uh, fast forward to the end.
[00:27:18] I don't, it didn't seem very hard.
[00:27:20] They got there pretty.
[00:27:21] All right.
[00:27:21] They're pretty.
[00:27:22] Okay.
[00:27:23] Uh, but if they train with them, they will take them there later to the fallen sanctum
[00:27:27] because it is so hard to get there.
[00:27:29] Uh, and then we go back, cut back to, to John and SM 33 walking down the plank.
[00:27:36] Did you notice that 33 saw the war?
[00:27:39] He could see the warriors through the cloud.
[00:27:41] So his one eye, because he's like, he said something like, Oh, it looks like, excuse me.
[00:27:47] It looks a lot like those war.
[00:27:48] I saw those warriors before when I was here.
[00:27:51] Right.
[00:27:51] And then John sees them come out.
[00:27:53] Now this was a very interesting scene to me.
[00:27:58] Because John standing there and all these warriors come out at him and he goes, ah, all right.
[00:28:06] Just shoot me.
[00:28:07] Just shoot me.
[00:28:08] And then he puts his hands up and he goes down onto his knees and you're like, okay.
[00:28:14] Once again, fast forward to the future.
[00:28:17] When John comes back, he looks completely unscathed.
[00:28:19] Right.
[00:28:22] I have a strong feeling he did not give away the gold coins to save his life.
[00:28:29] Yeah.
[00:28:30] It doesn't seem like his, his, his MO.
[00:28:32] Yeah.
[00:28:33] And to also get all the Yopi as well.
[00:28:38] Yeah.
[00:28:38] Like.
[00:28:39] I'm trying to decide whether Smee, Smee bot like just went to town or else, you know,
[00:28:46] it seems like the sort of thing that we might get a flashback to later when we get the full
[00:28:52] scope of his like powers or something.
[00:28:54] And then suddenly we see him do some crazy stuff.
[00:28:57] I don't know.
[00:28:58] Or else maybe we get a flashback and it turns out he like just lucked his way out of it.
[00:29:02] That's a possibility too.
[00:29:04] Or what the next episode, when they go back to the ship, are there going to be 30 people
[00:29:11] cut in half laying just right there, just right there.
[00:29:15] And then we don't look at them.
[00:29:16] Don't worry about it.
[00:29:17] What happens?
[00:29:18] Nothing.
[00:29:18] Just keep walking.
[00:29:19] I don't know what you're talking about.
[00:29:20] There's nothing to see.
[00:29:21] It's like, like a, uh, um, uh, sheriff, um, no chief Wiggum in the Simpsons.
[00:29:28] Yes.
[00:29:29] There's nothing to see here.
[00:29:30] There there's nothing.
[00:29:31] Oh my gosh.
[00:29:31] A horrible car crash.
[00:29:33] Everybody look, look at the car crash.
[00:29:36] Look at all these dead bodies.
[00:29:38] Um, so yeah, so I, I would love to find out.
[00:29:40] I hope, I hope we find out if Jod did something, if Smee did something, if they did something
[00:29:45] together, maybe the EOP just kind of, all the EOP just turned on.
[00:29:50] They had like a, an uprising, just like the droid uprising or a solo.
[00:29:54] Yeah.
[00:29:57] Jod has a air breather.
[00:29:59] He put a breather in all the EOP all farted at the same time and everybody died.
[00:30:03] Dutch oven.
[00:30:03] Dutch oven.
[00:30:04] Boom.
[00:30:04] There it is.
[00:30:05] Nailed it.
[00:30:05] Um, but we don't see if he kills the women and the children also, we don't see anything
[00:30:10] they just cut away after he says, I surrender.
[00:30:13] Uh, then we meet the rest of the army and they, they start to train them to shoot.
[00:30:18] And Neil is too scared to try.
[00:30:21] He says this would, uh, this, uh, this right here when they're practicing the shooting would
[00:30:27] have been a perfect time to throw out the line.
[00:30:28] You'll shoot your eye out kid.
[00:30:30] Yeah.
[00:30:30] That would have been a good one.
[00:30:31] Especially to win because when would have been like looking all, all the wrong places
[00:30:35] and somebody would grab it.
[00:30:37] Oh my gosh.
[00:30:37] She'll shoot your eye out.
[00:30:38] Yeah.
[00:30:38] It would have been good.
[00:30:39] That would have been perfect.
[00:30:40] But no, they, they decided with this little blue guy, he's just tells what's her name.
[00:30:45] What's the girl's name?
[00:30:45] He's talking to her.
[00:30:46] I forget.
[00:30:46] I just kept writing down his girlfriend.
[00:30:48] Yeah.
[00:30:49] Essentially.
[00:30:50] He's like, yeah, I'm, I'm a coward and I don't like all this stuff.
[00:30:54] And she's like, oh, that's cool.
[00:30:55] I'll show you the really big gun.
[00:30:56] Yeah.
[00:30:58] I don't, I don't want to shoot anything.
[00:31:00] I'm afraid.
[00:31:00] Oh yeah.
[00:31:02] Check this one out.
[00:31:03] You'll really love this.
[00:31:03] This will impress you.
[00:31:04] Wait till you see how big my big gun is.
[00:31:07] Yeah.
[00:31:07] It seems like you may be compensating for something.
[00:31:09] I'm just saying.
[00:31:10] Just saying.
[00:31:12] Just saying.
[00:31:13] I'm trying to find out what, um, what her name is.
[00:31:16] But anyway, so then they take them up and this is another, I know it was, it was built
[00:31:22] there to show Neil's empathy and stuff like that, but I was a little confused.
[00:31:27] They go up onto the top and he goes, oh, you live on top of the school.
[00:31:30] That's interesting.
[00:31:32] And she goes to come get your daily rations.
[00:31:34] So he gets this slop.
[00:31:37] There's two orphans sitting there and he goes, oh, you guys look hungry here.
[00:31:42] Take this.
[00:31:42] Like, so who, who's getting the daily slop?
[00:31:47] Only the new four new random people that come in, get daily slop.
[00:31:51] But the kids that have been here don't where these or like the, these orphans, the their
[00:31:56] parents.
[00:31:57] I mean, I'm asking questions that we're never going to get the answer to because I'm
[00:32:00] feeling next episodes.
[00:32:01] She's going to kiss him again.
[00:32:02] He's going to leave and that's going to be the end of this episode.
[00:32:05] But I was just like, wait, like I get it.
[00:32:07] It was, it was all to show his empathy.
[00:32:09] I think, yeah, I think you're right.
[00:32:10] Like we said, like sometimes they've been, I've used the term ham fisted several times,
[00:32:15] but I think that it's just like every now and then they're just a little clumsy.
[00:32:18] Yeah.
[00:32:19] About like, Hey, look, he's a nice guy.
[00:32:22] Right.
[00:32:23] Look, he's going to do another nice thing.
[00:32:24] See, he's a nice guy.
[00:32:25] He's a nice guy.
[00:32:27] I think Haina is the girl's name.
[00:32:29] Yeah.
[00:32:29] I think that's who it is.
[00:32:30] Haina.
[00:32:30] Haina.
[00:32:31] Yep.
[00:32:32] So, yeah.
[00:32:32] So it was like, Hey, he's a nice guy.
[00:32:34] Okay.
[00:32:35] Whatever.
[00:32:37] Um, and then, Oh, and then the, the training sequence.
[00:32:40] I was hoping for like a Rocky style sequence where time would pass, you know, get a montage,
[00:32:46] get a montage going them doing like barrel rolls.
[00:32:49] I'm going to hear a John Williams style.
[00:32:51] Rocky.
[00:32:51] Yes.
[00:32:52] You know, like, Oh my God.
[00:32:54] It would be awesome.
[00:32:55] We said, but instead we get five minutes of them shooting the gun four times.
[00:32:59] And then Wim shoots a really big one.
[00:33:00] Wim shoots a big one.
[00:33:02] Send them.
[00:33:02] It's like, like shooting like a 12 year old trying to shoot a 12.
[00:33:06] 12 gauge shotgun and just, um, we see that KD with all of her, uh, cybernetics.
[00:33:13] Right.
[00:33:13] It's a pretty good shot.
[00:33:14] Yeah.
[00:33:15] Um, she can, she can handle it.
[00:33:17] Uh, wasn't there also a line about, uh, Neil spraining his trunk?
[00:33:22] Uh, yeah.
[00:33:23] She said, did he say something or she says something, but yeah, that was, he said something about like
[00:33:27] when he was doing something at home and he sprained his, he sprained his trunk.
[00:33:30] Yeah.
[00:33:31] Yeah.
[00:33:31] They were doing some sport or whatever.
[00:33:33] And he sprained.
[00:33:34] That's right.
[00:33:36] Whatever.
[00:33:36] Yeah.
[00:33:38] She was like, you must have a really weak class.
[00:33:41] Like, yeah, we do.
[00:33:43] Yeah, we do.
[00:33:44] Um, all right.
[00:33:46] And then we get to the Neil character.
[00:33:48] Find out softer side, by the way.
[00:33:49] Oh, this is what I want to tell you.
[00:33:52] Trey read an article.
[00:33:53] So I, uh, he told me where to go on starwars.com, which talks about how Neil and Smee are animated
[00:34:03] for the, for the show.
[00:34:06] Um, it's puppets, right?
[00:34:08] Neil is a head on top of sometimes on top of the kid, uh, Billy Robert Thomas, Robert
[00:34:17] Timothy, whatever his name is, Smith, I think.
[00:34:20] Uh, sometimes he's in there, but there's also a puppeteer who wears the same costume that
[00:34:27] he does.
[00:34:28] They did a whole thing about how she'd like watch the way he moved.
[00:34:31] And then she tried to move the same way and blah, blah, blah, all this other stuff.
[00:34:34] But the eyeballs are, uh, there's a guy with a RC controller.
[00:34:40] So they move around on servos.
[00:34:43] They're independent.
[00:34:43] One guy is in charge of moving the eyes.
[00:34:46] Yeah.
[00:34:46] Um, the right, the square in the middle of the nose is mesh so that the person can see
[00:34:54] out so that the person inside the puppet can see out, but it's a giant, you know, foam
[00:34:59] head.
[00:35:01] Um, and I don't know if the ears are also animated or not.
[00:35:05] Um, but the eyeballs and they did do some motion capture dots on Robert Tim, Timothy's
[00:35:13] face.
[00:35:13] Okay.
[00:35:14] So when he is talking, um, it sometimes helps the eyes move and stuff.
[00:35:20] And then the snout is, I think the snout is a little CGI as well.
[00:35:24] Um, so it's not fully CGI.
[00:35:27] It's pretty prosthetic with some robots and some CGI in there.
[00:35:32] And then Smee.
[00:35:32] Smee was very interesting.
[00:35:34] I thought Smee was all stop motion animation.
[00:35:37] You mentioned that.
[00:35:37] It looks very stop motion.
[00:35:39] Um, it's almost like a marionette.
[00:35:42] Okay.
[00:35:43] There's a guy behind him controlling him with like sticks and stuff, um, to be able to keep
[00:35:52] him in the atmosphere, in the rain, in the area so that they can bounce off of him.
[00:35:59] And so he's basically like a giant marionette as opposed to stop motion that I thought it
[00:36:04] was.
[00:36:05] So I like the, the moat, the movement on him is really interesting and cool.
[00:36:10] Yeah.
[00:36:10] Whatever they're doing.
[00:36:11] I did look stop motion.
[00:36:13] It did look stop motion to me as well.
[00:36:14] But yeah, so I do, I do really like that.
[00:36:17] So that was neat.
[00:36:19] Um, it's a good read.
[00:36:20] So you can go to star wars.com and there's a whole article on, on how they, uh, did both
[00:36:25] of that.
[00:36:26] I pretty sure I gave them the just to do just that they deserve.
[00:36:31] Um, and then she says his kindness says he is weak or his weakness is what makes him
[00:36:38] kind.
[00:36:38] Right.
[00:36:38] And, but his weakness is what makes him kind.
[00:36:40] And then we also discover at the end that it's his kindness is also what makes his strength
[00:36:46] as well towards the end there.
[00:36:48] So, uh, so then we get into the, where the kids are told to lead the battle and they're
[00:36:52] like, uh, okay.
[00:36:53] And you can see all four of them like when no longer is having fun.
[00:36:57] Yeah.
[00:36:58] Fun time is officially over.
[00:36:59] It's over.
[00:37:01] Um, and go home and play Fortnite.
[00:37:03] Yes.
[00:37:03] Can I just do this for fun?
[00:37:05] Instead?
[00:37:05] I just want to watch my 3d hollow, uh, comic books.
[00:37:10] Um, so they're about to go into battle and then they discover that it's against Jod and
[00:37:15] he comes in and he says, Hey, uh, by the way, I paid them to give you your Eope's back.
[00:37:21] Yeah.
[00:37:21] All yours.
[00:37:22] Here you go.
[00:37:22] No, I just, I just want those four.
[00:37:24] I just want those.
[00:37:25] Um, how did he know they were, they were there Eope's like he wasn't there in the beginning.
[00:37:32] Yeah.
[00:37:32] He didn't see that.
[00:37:33] He has never interacted with these people before.
[00:37:35] Hey, these are random people.
[00:37:37] Are these, you know, I saw on their collars, you know, it says it found, please return to
[00:37:42] random child army to a, what's it called?
[00:37:45] A word togue or something like that.
[00:37:47] Please return to the togs.
[00:37:48] That's right.
[00:37:49] Right.
[00:37:49] So I think these are yours.
[00:37:51] These are yours.
[00:37:52] There was some mention of a reward.
[00:37:54] I don't want to be that guy.
[00:37:55] I'm not, I'm just saying, I heard myself out there for you.
[00:37:59] I did it for you.
[00:38:00] So, so yeah, if you could, you know, uh, I'll just take those four kids and your hide.
[00:38:05] You said something about hide.
[00:38:06] I don't need the hides.
[00:38:07] I just want the kids.
[00:38:08] I don't care about the hides.
[00:38:10] Yeah.
[00:38:10] That was really funny.
[00:38:11] He's like, wait, how many hides?
[00:38:13] They're like, Joe.
[00:38:15] He's like, okay, fine.
[00:38:16] Let's go.
[00:38:16] Or Jod, whatever.
[00:38:17] Jod.
[00:38:18] Um, so yeah.
[00:38:20] So it was pretty funny.
[00:38:24] I enjoyed it.
[00:38:24] You see him, you see SM and then you just see all these Yopi walking by and they're just
[00:38:29] like, oh, we'll follow you now.
[00:38:31] Um, so then Neil and his girlfriend have a good talk and he pretty much convinces her.
[00:38:36] It would be a good idea to bring peace to your world.
[00:38:39] But also I just loved him.
[00:38:40] Like you sure you can come home with us.
[00:38:42] We have room in my house.
[00:38:43] Room in my house.
[00:38:45] You can play with my two little brothers.
[00:38:47] It'd be a lot of fun.
[00:38:47] Come on.
[00:38:48] This is my new girlfriend.
[00:38:48] She's going to live with us.
[00:38:50] She's from a different planet.
[00:38:51] I'm a whole different planet.
[00:38:52] So she can't, she can't go home.
[00:38:53] She can never break up with me.
[00:38:55] She's going to live here forever.
[00:38:56] Oh boy.
[00:38:57] Uh, so I look at when you were 11, you thought the same thing.
[00:39:03] I know you, there was a little girl that you loved.
[00:39:06] You, oh my God, it'd be so cool.
[00:39:08] She could move away.
[00:39:09] We'll run away together forever.
[00:39:11] Yeah.
[00:39:12] Um, so then they, they convinced them.
[00:39:14] Oh, by the way, take us to the tower.
[00:39:16] Uh, we need to get to that tower.
[00:39:18] So cut there at the tower automatically.
[00:39:20] Very difficult.
[00:39:22] Tough one.
[00:39:23] We did warn you.
[00:39:25] It'd be tough to get there.
[00:39:26] All you needed was one star wipe.
[00:39:28] And you were there.
[00:39:29] That's all you need.
[00:39:31] Um, that's what he actually, at the end of the day, it was like those four kids and I
[00:39:34] won't need the hides, but just the star, just a star white, please.
[00:39:37] Thank you.
[00:39:38] Uh, it's Disney.
[00:39:39] We only got 29 minutes of runtime.
[00:39:41] Uh, so then they, they go over to, uh, the supervisor's tower.
[00:39:47] They get up there and they notice inside there's nine towers with the names of all the other
[00:39:52] hidden planets on it.
[00:39:54] And, and Jode realizes that the one that says at add in has coordinates underneath of it.
[00:39:59] That, um, the little owl, bat, rat, cat, ferret, whatever creature gave him.
[00:40:07] Um, and they're like, Oh wait, all of these planets at I too.
[00:40:13] I'm saying them all wrong at Arisa at Arvania, Arvin at Okoda all have coordinates underneath
[00:40:21] it.
[00:40:22] Let's find at add in.
[00:40:23] Oh, there it is.
[00:40:24] Oh, but wait.
[00:40:25] Oh wait.
[00:40:26] There's a giant gash in here.
[00:40:28] It's been blown.
[00:40:29] The coordinates have been blown off.
[00:40:30] I wonder who did that.
[00:40:32] It was me.
[00:40:32] It was me.
[00:40:33] I did it.
[00:40:34] I buy my, uh, captain told me to destroy it.
[00:40:37] And then in the middle of all this that will after she sees this, then that's when Fern has
[00:40:43] her little mini breakdown crisis of confidence.
[00:40:46] Yeah.
[00:40:46] As that's what it's called.
[00:40:48] I'd never heard it before.
[00:40:49] I was like, wow, that's, that's some good word right there.
[00:40:52] Crisis of confidence.
[00:40:53] So she had her crisis of confidence, her little breakdown.
[00:40:56] And when says you did all of this, she's like, you're amazing.
[00:40:59] You're amazing.
[00:40:59] She's like, I took us to be my girlfriend.
[00:41:03] Can you be my girlfriend?
[00:41:04] You're still has a girlfriend and he's an elephant.
[00:41:06] He's an elephant.
[00:41:07] I've been trying to date you all season.
[00:41:08] Uh, but yeah, he essentially said like, you know,
[00:41:13] it's talk says how he looks up to her and she's like, you should have been captain.
[00:41:16] And look what I've done.
[00:41:18] Yeah.
[00:41:18] And then all of a sudden she has a brainstorm.
[00:41:21] She's like, oh, wait, droids can be tricked.
[00:41:24] And we did see her do this to her major, her major in episode one, where she said, I was
[00:41:30] never here or I was upstairs.
[00:41:32] Whatever she said, I was upstairs.
[00:41:33] The memory override or whatever.
[00:41:35] But my, my, uh, memory says, nope.
[00:41:38] Nope.
[00:41:38] So, yeah.
[00:41:39] So then she does it to, to Smee and it almost works.
[00:41:44] Don't, don't, don't.
[00:41:45] And then we find out Smee tells everybody how crazy or how drastic the old captain was.
[00:41:53] Um, very one-eyed Willie S very, uh, even before one-eyed Willie, uh, treasure.
[00:41:59] Treasure, um, what's a pirate treasure, another pirate treasure show before that, whatever,
[00:42:05] uh, where the captain kills everybody so that nobody knows where his treasure is hidden.
[00:42:11] Um, one-eyed Willie did the same thing.
[00:42:13] He said that in Goonies, he said, yeah, and then one-eyed Willie killed all of his crew
[00:42:16] so that nobody would know where his treasure was.
[00:42:18] Treasure Island, I think.
[00:42:19] Yes.
[00:42:19] Might have been Treasure Island.
[00:42:20] Yes.
[00:42:21] Um, I'm up at Treasure Island.
[00:42:22] Also another treasure.
[00:42:23] I'm very good.
[00:42:24] I started watching in class today, I was letting my first period of class, we started
[00:42:28] to watch, uh, Muppet Christmas Carol.
[00:42:31] Fabulous.
[00:42:31] And then I, because I couldn't find Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas on Disney Plus.
[00:42:36] Have you ever seen that?
[00:42:37] No.
[00:42:37] Oh my God.
[00:42:39] You need to watch it.
[00:42:40] Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas.
[00:42:41] Emmett Otter, it's on either Peacock or Amazon Prime.
[00:42:45] I have Amazon Prime.
[00:42:46] Go home, sit down with little, uh, what do you call her?
[00:42:50] Vanjie.
[00:42:51] No, no, no, no.
[00:42:52] The nickname.
[00:42:53] Um, Stink.
[00:42:53] Do you call her Stink?
[00:42:54] Yeah.
[00:42:55] The Stink.
[00:42:55] Have the Stink sit down with you and watch Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas.
[00:43:00] Okay.
[00:43:00] It is one of the best Muppets, and it's not, Kermit's in it a little bit, but it's a great
[00:43:08] Muppet show.
[00:43:10] One of my favorites.
[00:43:11] So you have to watch it.
[00:43:11] Remind me in an hour, Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas.
[00:43:15] Yes.
[00:43:15] There you go.
[00:43:16] Google will remind you.
[00:43:17] Um, okay.
[00:43:19] There you go.
[00:43:20] Uh, so yeah.
[00:43:20] So then he tells everybody how he killed his captain killed everybody and told him that if
[00:43:27] any buddy ever comes sneaking around asking him about the treasure and that adding to
[00:43:32] kill them as well.
[00:43:33] That was very back to the futures.
[00:43:35] That was right.
[00:43:36] It's like, he said, uh, one day some kid in a wild eyed old man might come by and ask
[00:43:42] about this sports almanac.
[00:43:44] And if I did, you know, like it was very, Oh no.
[00:43:48] Yeah.
[00:43:49] Very, uh, biff.
[00:43:50] Very biff.
[00:43:51] Yep.
[00:43:52] Um, and then he like, you know, gets taller as he often does.
[00:43:56] So he's just, and then him from limb and then, uh, Katie and Wim quick hide behind Fern.
[00:44:03] Yeah.
[00:44:04] All three of them are like, Oh no.
[00:44:05] And then here comes the hero.
[00:44:07] Here he comes to save the Neville Longbottom.
[00:44:09] That's right.
[00:44:10] Throws her off.
[00:44:10] That is a big Neville moment.
[00:44:12] And says, I will fight you.
[00:44:14] Will you Neville?
[00:44:15] You won't.
[00:44:15] You won't.
[00:44:16] And then the, uh, Smee goes and chases him instead.
[00:44:20] Fine.
[00:44:20] I'll kill you first.
[00:44:21] Yep.
[00:44:22] And as he goes down, the Jedi does his Jedi ninja moves, jumps over top.
[00:44:28] And luckily the on off switch is very easy to turn off.
[00:44:31] Um, click, which we also foreshadowing from episode two, when it's turning on and off all
[00:44:37] this, all the droids.
[00:44:39] As he's down on top of Neil, Neil's like, ah, he's like, I did it guys.
[00:44:45] I did it.
[00:44:46] Uh, he passes out and that's how that was.
[00:44:49] And that's how it ends.
[00:44:50] Roll credits.
[00:44:51] Yeah.
[00:44:51] Yeah.
[00:44:51] We didn't even get the courtesy of a jump to light speed.
[00:44:54] No.
[00:44:54] Messed up.
[00:44:55] No.
[00:44:55] So, which is good because I mean, I'm hoping we see, I don't know.
[00:45:01] We probably won't.
[00:45:02] Next thing we'll just see is them on the ship.
[00:45:03] So we'll never see what happened to the massacre at, uh, at the playground.
[00:45:09] Um, which is what I want to see.
[00:45:11] So we'll see what happens.
[00:45:12] But yeah, it was a good episode.
[00:45:14] It was fun.
[00:45:15] Yeah.
[00:45:15] Once again, you know, and I think we just have to accept it.
[00:45:18] They're going to be 30 minutes.
[00:45:19] Yep.
[00:45:19] That's all there is to it.
[00:45:21] Yeah.
[00:45:21] But you know, every new show that comes out, we got to at least mention it.
[00:45:25] Yeah.
[00:45:26] We got to let them know that we want more.
[00:45:28] We want more.
[00:45:29] No, it was a, yeah, I do like this more than the acolyte.
[00:45:35] I think I just, I didn't have any expectations for this one.
[00:45:38] Okay.
[00:45:39] So I don't know that I, my expectations can be unmet.
[00:45:43] Right.
[00:45:44] Right.
[00:45:45] Acolyte.
[00:45:45] I was very hyped for it.
[00:45:47] Yeah.
[00:45:47] Cause we had all the books.
[00:45:48] Yep.
[00:45:48] So you read all the books of the, or listen, read all the books of the acolytes.
[00:45:53] So you were like, dude, this is the books.
[00:45:56] And I read two of the books, I think.
[00:45:58] And they're really good.
[00:46:00] And you're like, oh man.
[00:46:02] I mean, even, I don't know.
[00:46:05] It just, this.
[00:46:07] Well, the high, I'm sorry.
[00:46:08] High Republic.
[00:46:09] Yeah.
[00:46:10] Not the acolyte books, but the High Republic books.
[00:46:12] Yeah.
[00:46:12] But I don't know.
[00:46:12] For me with this, it just seems like, I don't know.
[00:46:18] There is a difference in this one than we have gotten.
[00:46:22] Like the acolyte just felt.
[00:46:25] Yeah.
[00:46:25] Off.
[00:46:26] Yes.
[00:46:26] This feels like, you know, I, I, I am able to come to terms with what this show is.
[00:46:33] Uh-huh.
[00:46:33] And I think part of that is like with the acolyte, with Ahsoka, with all the other ones, we're
[00:46:37] waiting for people we know.
[00:46:39] We're waiting to see the big reveal.
[00:46:40] We're waiting to see, you know, how they tied in with this one.
[00:46:42] I don't have really any expectation for that.
[00:46:44] Yeah.
[00:46:44] I don't really expect them to like show us Luke Skywalker or to like, you know.
[00:46:49] Right.
[00:46:49] Bring in Mandalorian or anything.
[00:46:51] Like, yeah.
[00:46:51] I'm, I'm pretty sure this is going to be a very bottled in experience.
[00:46:57] Yeah.
[00:46:57] Yeah.
[00:46:57] Um, almost like for me, the way it feels and hear me all the way out.
[00:47:05] Like the, when they had the new, uh, Muppet movies, um, Jason Segel's first one.
[00:47:12] Right.
[00:47:13] I loved that first one.
[00:47:15] It felt like old Muppets again.
[00:47:18] Right.
[00:47:18] It didn't feel like they were trying to do something.
[00:47:21] It didn't feel forced.
[00:47:22] It just felt like old Muppets.
[00:47:24] It reminded me of how the Muppets felt.
[00:47:26] And I feel this show is the same thing.
[00:47:29] This just reminds me of old Star Wars.
[00:47:32] Um, I don't need Luke.
[00:47:34] I don't need anybody that I've seen before.
[00:47:39] It just has that good Star Wars feel to it.
[00:47:43] When you see the houses, the houses look like back to the future homes or E.T.'s home, but
[00:47:50] with that Star Wars twist on it.
[00:47:51] And it's just enough Star Wars that it's awesome.
[00:47:55] It's not shoving it in your face.
[00:47:57] And it's also not, you know, bringing in those cameos or anything like that.
[00:48:02] We don't need that.
[00:48:03] And I really enjoy it.
[00:48:05] My same thing.
[00:48:06] I did not enjoy the acolyte at all.
[00:48:08] Um, we talked about the other series is that had did nothing for us, but this one is,
[00:48:14] is fun.
[00:48:15] This is a good one.
[00:48:16] I think fun is the thing that is sets it aside the most.
[00:48:21] Like the acolyte had good parts and parts that I enjoyed, but I don't think I could would
[00:48:26] ever have described any of it as fun.
[00:48:27] No.
[00:48:28] Um, you know, so even parts of it were kind of fun.
[00:48:31] Yeah.
[00:48:32] Uh, the Mandalorian had plenty of fun parts, but like, like the acolyte, like I, you know,
[00:48:38] there wasn't fun.
[00:48:40] No.
[00:48:40] There was intrigue.
[00:48:41] There was interest, but like, I don't know.
[00:48:43] I, I, yeah, I think fun is a good term for this one.
[00:48:45] Yeah.
[00:48:45] Yeah.
[00:48:46] So it's definitely a lot of fun.
[00:48:47] It's I, I'm enjoying it a lot.
[00:48:48] I enjoy the pacing, even though, you know, the middle was a little slow this one, but it
[00:48:54] needed to be to build the character building that it needed to be.
[00:48:58] Um, so it will be interesting to see if we immediately start with a hyperspace jump or if
[00:49:04] we work our way back to the ship.
[00:49:07] Um, I have a feeling we're probably going to just start on the ship with Neil waking up
[00:49:13] in his bed and being like, or his, his hammock and being like, wait, what happened?
[00:49:18] What, what?
[00:49:18] And you know, Smee's probably just like humped over and in a thing.
[00:49:22] Yeah.
[00:49:23] And KD said, you know, oh, we could go through his circuits.
[00:49:28] There's only a couple of million, a couple of 14 million of them in there.
[00:49:31] So I'm thinking maybe she's going to try to figure out a way to reprogram him while they're
[00:49:40] on this ship.
[00:49:41] And I mean, they don't have the coordinates to add Adam.
[00:49:45] My guess they're going to go to one of the other planets, right?
[00:49:48] They have the coordinates to the other planets.
[00:49:51] They're hoping that they can go back into the same tower, right?
[00:49:55] Because everything else is the same.
[00:49:56] Yeah.
[00:49:56] You, you figure if this looks the same, the other planets will too.
[00:49:59] So go to that tower.
[00:50:00] Or hopefully SM33 didn't destroy at Adams thing in there.
[00:50:05] Right.
[00:50:05] And then they'll be able to get to add Adam that way.
[00:50:07] Now what's going to be on the other planet?
[00:50:09] Who knows?
[00:50:10] Because of, you know, the, uh, the guess is that all the other planets except for at
[00:50:14] Adam have been destroyed, whether by the Sith or by somebody for some reason, whatever the
[00:50:20] case is.
[00:50:21] So is it going to be all flooded this time?
[00:50:23] Is it going to be like, like, uh, avatar where the first time when they were in the
[00:50:27] jungle next time they're in water world.
[00:50:30] So is this one going to be flooded?
[00:50:32] Is this one going to be a desert?
[00:50:34] What did they, what did they do to destroy this planet?
[00:50:36] Volcanic.
[00:50:37] Yeah.
[00:50:37] Um, so it'll be interesting to see how the next one is destroyed or, or whatever the
[00:50:42] case is.
[00:50:43] Um, but yeah, so I like it.
[00:50:45] Yeah.
[00:50:45] It's good stuff, man.
[00:50:47] Um, so when is the next episode is Christmas Eve?
[00:50:51] Yes.
[00:50:51] Um, so likely sometime after boxing day, you can expect us to come back with a, with another
[00:50:56] breakdown of that.
[00:50:58] Um, make sure you check us out on the social medias.
[00:51:00] Check out all the other pods in our network.
[00:51:03] So what you're saying is you don't want to come over on Christmas day to record a podcast?
[00:51:07] You know, I come on dedication, Nick.
[00:51:09] Let's go.
[00:51:10] I'm sorry.
[00:51:11] I just, I'm worried if I come over here on the Santa and I really want to give him my
[00:51:16] milk and cookies personally this year.
[00:51:18] Yes.
[00:51:18] Cause last year he didn't eat them and I have questions.
[00:51:21] I have questions.
[00:51:21] Why did you not eat them?
[00:51:23] Yeah.
[00:51:23] Did you not like them?
[00:51:25] What was it?
[00:51:25] Good.
[00:51:26] Did I gave him cheese.
[00:51:28] Do you remember that commercial?
[00:51:29] No.
[00:51:30] For the cheese foundation, uh, people come downstairs and underneath the tree is a hundred presents
[00:51:40] and it's like, and they were like, Oh my gosh.
[00:51:43] They're like, what cookies did you give Santa this year?
[00:51:47] And a little, little girl goes, I gave him cheese.
[00:51:50] Oh, I do remember that one.
[00:51:51] That's absolutely right.
[00:51:52] I mean, there's always, for me, it's always the classic.
[00:51:55] He does exist.
[00:51:56] They do.
[00:51:57] They do exist.
[00:51:58] They do exist.
[00:51:59] Yeah.
[00:52:00] Oh man.
[00:52:01] That'll never get old.
[00:52:01] Nope.
[00:52:02] Um, so anyway, yeah.
[00:52:03] Uh, check us out a couple of days after Christmas.
[00:52:05] Have a happy holiday season.
[00:52:06] Yes.
[00:52:07] Uh, you know, Rob is festively enjoying with his Christmas sweater.
[00:52:10] I sure am.
[00:52:11] Um, and from each and every one of us here, both abandonment podcast headquarters, we have
[00:52:17] spoken.
[00:52:17] We have, uh, oh, yeah.
