[00:00:30] On this episode of Bantha Milk Podcast, we find out what Nick's hiding behind his back.

[00:00:36] Nick, show me your hands.

[00:00:37] No, the other one.

[00:00:40] No, both of them at the same time.

[00:01:08] Yeah, I didn't get to do my normal boogieing there.

[00:01:10] I was getting a piece of something out of my whiskey.

[00:01:13] Oh, so sorry.

[00:01:14] It's okay. You know what?

[00:01:15] When I'm drinking whiskey and I see something in there, I often get kind of freaked out about it.

[00:01:20] And then I go, well, the alcohol, I'm sure, has sterilized it by this point.

[00:01:23] I'm sure it has.

[00:01:24] So that's what I do.

[00:01:25] I guarantee it has done that.

[00:01:26] But anyway.

[00:01:27] And you know why? Because you said what you said.

[00:01:29] I did say that.

[00:01:30] I said the thing that I said, and that is your beer.

[00:01:32] That is right.

[00:01:33] Because I said what I said.

[00:01:34] While you're drinking your margarita, no, your whiskey, I'm drinking, I said what I said, a key lime margarita sour.

[00:01:41] You've got the margarita.

[00:01:43] I've got the margarita.

[00:01:44] So what's the brewery on that?

[00:01:47] Evil Genius.

[00:01:47] Evil Genius Brewery.

[00:01:48] They're from New Jersey.

[00:01:50] Yeah.

[00:01:50] I got a 12-pack or something of different varieties.

[00:01:56] So, yeah, so I got that.

[00:01:57] I was like, oh, did I not hit record on Audacity?

[00:02:00] But I did.

[00:02:00] We're going.

[00:02:01] We're live.

[00:02:01] We're going.

[00:02:02] We'll do it live.

[00:02:03] Yeah, and I'm just, you know, we haven't had Bantamilk for a couple of episodes.

[00:02:08] Oh, you know.

[00:02:10] A bottle of scotch and a bottle of bourbon.

[00:02:12] Yeah, so happy Christmas and Hanukkah and all the other.

[00:02:16] And Life Day and all that other good stuff.

[00:02:18] To those who celebrate, hope you have a most joyous holiday season.

[00:02:21] Most joyous.

[00:02:23] Yeah, but we're back.

[00:02:24] Rob's beard is here again.

[00:02:26] And, Rob, you're rocking the beanie today.

[00:02:29] I got the beanie on today because we just went out.

[00:02:32] I'm going to give a free plug because this place is amazing.

[00:02:36] The original Bananaco, which is actually in stumbling distance from Nick's house.

[00:02:43] So, if you go there, you can just start knocking on doors within a mile and a half radius and you'll eventually find him.

[00:02:50] You're very non-specifically doxing me, right?

[00:02:53] Right.

[00:02:53] It's a very vague doxing.

[00:02:55] That's right.

[00:02:56] But, yeah, what is it?

[00:02:57] The original Bananaco.

[00:02:59] The original Bananaco company?

[00:02:59] Oh, my God.

[00:03:00] So, for those of you that don't know, I don't know if there's other stores like this in the galaxy.

[00:03:05] But, if there aren't, you need to get on this because it's amazing.

[00:03:09] They have frozen bananas that they dip in whatever, chocolate, white chocolate, whatever.

[00:03:18] Then all kinds of other toppings and stuff on top of it.

[00:03:21] They also now have a hookup with a cheesecake company, nearby cheesecake company.

[00:03:26] Oh, boy.

[00:03:28] And they do it the same thing.

[00:03:30] They dip a slice of cheesecake in chocolate.

[00:03:33] Okay, well.

[00:03:34] Well, now you just ruined everything for me.

[00:03:37] I had.

[00:03:37] Because I didn't know that.

[00:03:38] Like bananas, whatever, but cheesecake.

[00:03:40] Frozen bananas.

[00:03:41] And they're frozen bananas.

[00:03:42] So, they're not like frozen, frozen where you can't bite into them.

[00:03:45] But they're definitely nice and cold.

[00:03:49] Yeah.

[00:03:49] Super, like, I don't know what a good temperature is.

[00:03:52] But, like, they're like 33 degrees, not colder than that, where it's like so cold you can't bite into them.

[00:03:59] But they're definitely, when you bite into them, you know that they're cold.

[00:04:01] Yep.

[00:04:01] But they also have slices of cheesecake.

[00:04:03] And I had the gingerbread one today.

[00:04:06] It was supposed to be white chocolate, but I like milk chocolate.

[00:04:10] So, I got it dipped in milk chocolate.

[00:04:12] And then completely covered in gingerbread cookie dust.

[00:04:17] Sure.

[00:04:17] And then marshmallow and a gingerbread cookie on top of it.

[00:04:22] That sounds outstanding.

[00:04:23] And let me tell you, you cannot finish a whole slice.

[00:04:27] Okay.

[00:04:27] That sounds like a challenge.

[00:04:29] And believe me, I've had multiple different flavors of their cheesecake covered in whatever.

[00:04:36] Sure.

[00:04:37] And I can eat.

[00:04:39] Sure.

[00:04:39] Look, take me to an all-you-can-eat crab leg buffet, and I will get my money's worth.

[00:04:46] I can guarantee you.

[00:04:47] Right.

[00:04:47] 10 trips to the crab legs is not enough for me.

[00:04:51] When we were in Myrtle Beach, we went to Captain...

[00:04:55] Crunch.

[00:04:56] Mikey's Crunch Picard.

[00:04:58] Whatever.

[00:04:58] Something or other.

[00:04:59] And my kids were like, can we please leave?

[00:05:01] And I'm like, but they're still crab legs.

[00:05:04] They're still bringing out crab legs.

[00:05:05] They just keep bringing them out.

[00:05:06] I have to eat them.

[00:05:07] They're going to go bad if I don't.

[00:05:10] But yeah, and I cannot finish a whole slice of this.

[00:05:13] Because A, the cheesecake is really good.

[00:05:15] And B, there's so much sugar on it that while you want to finish, your sugar alcohol, your

[00:05:23] sugar levels are just going through the roof.

[00:05:24] Sure.

[00:05:24] And you're just like, can't do it.

[00:05:26] But it's good because then you have the other half of it for the next day.

[00:05:30] So it's amazing.

[00:05:31] So the original banana company in New Jersey.

[00:05:33] Yeah.

[00:05:33] Check it out.

[00:05:34] It's amazing.

[00:05:35] We were just there.

[00:05:36] There's always money in the banana stand.

[00:05:37] There is always money in the banana stand.

[00:05:40] That's what they say.

[00:05:42] Let's bring it back around to Arrested Development.

[00:05:44] If you can't...

[00:05:45] Most things can.

[00:05:45] Most things can be brought back around, I feel like, to Arrested Development.

[00:05:48] That's a...

[00:05:49] I love it.

[00:05:50] Lesser and lesser referenced show these days.

[00:05:52] And it's a shame because it's an amazing show.

[00:05:54] It really is.

[00:05:55] It's such a good show.

[00:05:56] But yeah, so that's why I had to put the beanie on, Wes, because we went out.

[00:05:59] So yes, we are here...

[00:06:00] To talk about Star Wars.

[00:06:01] To talk about Star Wars, not talk about things I like to eat.

[00:06:04] It is Bantha Milk Podcast, don't you know?

[00:06:07] Don't you know?

[00:06:07] Yeah, we are...

[00:06:08] Before we get into it, we are Bantha Milk Podcast, a part of the Ears Up-O-Sphere.

[00:06:12] Ears Up-O-Sphere.

[00:06:13] Right.

[00:06:14] Rob is...

[00:06:14] Rob is...

[00:06:15] While Rob is preparing all his Christmas goodies for our enjoyment right now.

[00:06:21] Yep.

[00:06:22] You know, again, we've got the...

[00:06:26] Who are they?

[00:06:27] I'm bad at this.

[00:06:28] Ears Up.

[00:06:29] Puny Pod.

[00:06:29] Puny Pod.

[00:06:30] Scraping the Vault.

[00:06:32] The Supreme Tacos Resorts.

[00:06:35] Yummy.

[00:06:36] Delish.

[00:06:37] Greek yogurt.

[00:06:37] And also, Buena Vista Boys.

[00:06:41] Buena Vista Boys.

[00:06:42] Where they do the same thing that Screen Crush does, but...

[00:06:44] Better.

[00:06:45] Different.

[00:06:46] Different.

[00:06:46] Not better.

[00:06:47] Not better.

[00:06:47] I want to pit them against each other.

[00:06:49] Yeah, let's do it against them.

[00:06:51] It's...

[00:06:51] I want to start a feud within our...

[00:06:54] Within the Ears Up-O-Sphere.

[00:06:55] We can do that.

[00:06:57] All right.

[00:06:57] So, I did get some things.

[00:06:59] I got these little trivia cards.

[00:07:01] The Star Wars Mandalorian Trivia Quiz.

[00:07:05] It is always great around the holidays because I know I'll always get some new strange Star

[00:07:09] Wars related item.

[00:07:10] Yes.

[00:07:10] Right.

[00:07:11] So, you got this for Christmas?

[00:07:12] I got this for Christmas.

[00:07:13] This is...

[00:07:15] There's...

[00:07:15] On each card, there's one-point questions and two-point questions.

[00:07:19] Ooh.

[00:07:19] Uh...

[00:07:20] The one-point questions are extremely difficult.

[00:07:24] What is the child's...

[00:07:25] So, these are specifically Mandalorian.

[00:07:26] This is specifically Mandalorian.

[00:07:28] What is the child's real name?

[00:07:31] Norman.

[00:07:32] Norman is not on here.

[00:07:34] It should be...

[00:07:34] It should be...

[00:07:35] D. Norman should be the proper answer.

[00:07:36] That's messed up.

[00:07:37] So, we got to...

[00:07:38] Who do we call at...

[00:07:39] At...

[00:07:40] I don't know.

[00:07:41] I give you three choices.

[00:07:42] Grog, Gore, or Grogu.

[00:07:45] Or Norman.

[00:07:46] Norman.

[00:07:46] I'm going to say it's Grogu because...

[00:07:48] Yeah.

[00:07:49] Grogu.

[00:07:50] Norman is not there.

[00:07:51] So, we'll have to go with Grogu instead.

[00:07:52] Now, this is the two-point question.

[00:07:54] Okay.

[00:07:54] Here we go.

[00:07:54] So, I'm guessing this is a little bit harder.

[00:07:56] Here we go.

[00:07:56] What did the Jawas tell the Mandalorian that he should like?

[00:08:01] That he sounds like.

[00:08:02] Sorry.

[00:08:03] That he sounds like.

[00:08:04] Oh, that is tough.

[00:08:04] What does it say that he sounds like?

[00:08:05] It did sound like you were setting up a joke just then.

[00:08:07] What did the Jawas say to the Mandalorian?

[00:08:10] What did one Jawa say to another Jawa?

[00:08:13] So, it says, what did the Jawa say to the Mandalorian?

[00:08:17] Say the Mandalorian sounded like?

[00:08:18] Yes.

[00:08:19] Say the Mandalorian that...

[00:08:21] What do the Jawas tell the Mandalorian that he sounds like?

[00:08:25] I don't know.

[00:08:26] Okay.

[00:08:27] You have three choices.

[00:08:28] Okay.

[00:08:28] A, a Jawa.

[00:08:29] No.

[00:08:30] B, a Gungan.

[00:08:31] Or C, a Wookiee.

[00:08:32] I'm going to say a Wookiee.

[00:08:35] You are correct.

[00:08:37] Wow.

[00:08:37] That was a really solid Wookiee impression, by the way.

[00:08:40] By the way, if you didn't do it yet, do it now.

[00:08:44] Change all of your food apps, your name and all your food apps to Chewbacca.

[00:08:50] Okay.

[00:08:51] They really love it when you go through the drive-thru and say, mobile order for Chewbacca,

[00:08:55] please.

[00:08:55] See, I get bored in life and I do things for sillies.

[00:09:00] And I was in the car going through a drive-thru.

[00:09:03] I think it was at Tim Hortons, I forget.

[00:09:07] But my wife is sitting over here and the urge just hit me.

[00:09:11] And so they said, what's the name on the order?

[00:09:15] And instead of saying, Nick, I'm trying to remember, it was a...

[00:09:18] I think it was...

[00:09:20] Bruce Wayne.

[00:09:21] No, it was something silly like...

[00:09:25] I don't remember.

[00:09:26] Fuquan or a date dish.

[00:09:29] I don't remember.

[00:09:30] It was...

[00:09:31] Oh no.

[00:09:32] You know what it was?

[00:09:33] Tito.

[00:09:33] It was Tito because I was thinking specifically about Tito Jackson.

[00:09:38] So I said, Tito.

[00:09:41] And it wasn't just like a Tito.

[00:09:43] And that was it because obviously you hear the word Tito.

[00:09:45] Right.

[00:09:46] What was that?

[00:09:47] Say it again.

[00:09:48] It said Tito.

[00:09:49] And I just see my wife look at me from the side and I just drive.

[00:09:52] She's like, what are you doing?

[00:09:54] I'm like, I don't know.

[00:09:55] I don't know.

[00:09:55] I'm having some fun.

[00:09:56] I'm bored.

[00:09:57] Anyway.

[00:09:58] Yep.

[00:09:58] All right.

[00:09:59] So do that.

[00:10:00] Either Tito or Chewbacca.

[00:10:02] I was Batman, but somebody else was Batman also.

[00:10:05] So I had to change it.

[00:10:06] Tumor.

[00:10:07] How many lightsabers...

[00:10:09] This is a one point question.

[00:10:11] How many lightsabers does Ahsoka Tano wield?

[00:10:15] Wield.

[00:10:15] Wield.

[00:10:16] Four.

[00:10:17] Four.

[00:10:17] At once.

[00:10:18] Yes.

[00:10:18] Plus the fifth one.

[00:10:19] That is the correct answer.

[00:10:21] Four.

[00:10:22] Or half that.

[00:10:23] Two.

[00:10:23] Right.

[00:10:24] Whichever one.

[00:10:25] Whichever one.

[00:10:26] And then here's a two point question.

[00:10:27] What large creatures burst from under the ice?

[00:10:32] Oh, that's a good one.

[00:10:34] To attack the Razorcrest.

[00:10:36] Those are those spider guys, aren't they?

[00:10:39] That was the spider episode, wasn't it?

[00:10:41] Yes.

[00:10:42] I was thinking of when they landed in the first episode.

[00:10:50] They landed on the ice and the guy said, watch out.

[00:10:53] Oh, that was on ice, wasn't it?

[00:10:56] Yeah.

[00:10:56] Burst from under the ice to attack the Razorcrest.

[00:11:00] Oh, that might be it.

[00:11:01] So what are the options?

[00:11:02] The options are EOPs, which is not it.

[00:11:06] Ravinex.

[00:11:07] I think it was Ravinex.

[00:11:08] Okay.

[00:11:08] Because I remember the guy, the taxi cab driver said, watch out for the Ravinex.

[00:11:13] Right.

[00:11:13] Because C is Krayt Dragons.

[00:11:15] Yeah, it wasn't that.

[00:11:15] And it's not Krayt Dragons.

[00:11:16] Yeah.

[00:11:16] And it's not EOPs.

[00:11:17] So you were right, yeah.

[00:11:17] So it's got to be the Ravinex.

[00:11:19] Yeah.

[00:11:19] Which I wouldn't have guessed unless you said all three words.

[00:11:22] Sure.

[00:11:23] I do remember that.

[00:11:25] All right.

[00:11:25] Last one here.

[00:11:26] The child.

[00:11:27] One point.

[00:11:28] Which large mammal do Tusken Raiders ride through the desert?

[00:11:33] Ride the bantha.

[00:11:35] Ride the bantha.

[00:11:36] Very good.

[00:11:36] And then two point question.

[00:11:38] What are the colorings of an incinerator stormtrooper?

[00:11:44] Black and red, I think.

[00:11:46] So you have gold with black circles, white with red stripes.

[00:11:52] Oh, it's that one for sure.

[00:11:54] Or all white.

[00:11:55] It's white with red stripes.

[00:11:56] White with red stripes.

[00:11:57] Yeah.

[00:11:58] Of course the-

[00:11:59] I knew red was involved because fire.

[00:12:01] Yes.

[00:12:01] Fire is red.

[00:12:02] I'm going to say we are correct with B.

[00:12:03] It's written in white on a gray background and really hard to tell.

[00:12:09] You see if you look at that.

[00:12:10] I'm pretty sure.

[00:12:11] You got your readers on there.

[00:12:11] I have my readers on and I still can't tell.

[00:12:15] There's the card.

[00:12:16] Gambit over here.

[00:12:18] All right.

[00:12:19] Two point.

[00:12:20] I see.

[00:12:22] C.

[00:12:22] White with red stripes.

[00:12:23] Yeah.

[00:12:23] Okay, good.

[00:12:24] You could read that?

[00:12:25] Perfect.

[00:12:25] All right.

[00:12:26] And then I also got this book, Weird But True, from National Geographic.

[00:12:30] So it's got to be legitimate.

[00:12:32] Sure.

[00:12:33] 300 epic facts from Star Wars at Galaxy Far, Far Away.

[00:12:36] So I'll just read you one of these.

[00:12:38] Read me some facts.

[00:12:39] While hundreds of Wookiees appear in scenes of Revenge of the Sith, they each wore one

[00:12:46] of only eight Wookiee suits.

[00:12:51] I see.

[00:12:51] So there were eight people and did they digitally CGI them?

[00:12:57] Either digitally CGI them or just kept doing it over and over again?

[00:13:01] Or else there were just eight different suits that they just had.

[00:13:03] All right.

[00:13:04] 30 of this suit, 30 of that suit.

[00:13:06] No, no, no.

[00:13:07] I think only eight total suits.

[00:13:08] So the eight of you just run a giant circle around the camera.

[00:13:13] Run in front and now go again.

[00:13:15] And now go again.

[00:13:17] And we'll just splice it all together.

[00:13:18] Yeah, that makes sense.

[00:13:19] Considering CGI happiness.

[00:13:21] Also, in Pirates of the Caribbean Caribbean, it's a ride at Walt Disney World.

[00:13:28] Pirates of the Caribbean Caribbean?

[00:13:28] Yes.

[00:13:29] It's a ride at Walt Disney World.

[00:13:30] Is that literally the name of it?

[00:13:32] Well, there's only one Caribbean.

[00:13:33] Okay.

[00:13:33] But it depends on how you say it.

[00:13:35] Sure.

[00:13:35] I just, you know, you're a Disney guy.

[00:13:36] Yeah, so I didn't know if I didn't know about this fun scene.

[00:13:39] Dan, our good friend from Scraping the Vault and the Supreme Resort calls it Pirates of the Caribbean Caribbean.

[00:13:48] It's something similar to that.

[00:13:50] There's like only eight different heads or something like that in the ride.

[00:13:56] Okay.

[00:13:56] But there's, I don't know the exact numbers.

[00:14:00] Say there's 150 characters in the ride, but there's only like eight different heads.

[00:14:04] Or some of the heads are repeated multiple times or something like that.

[00:14:07] Sure.

[00:14:08] I forget the exact numbers.

[00:14:09] I'm not that much of a Disney nerd to know all that.

[00:14:13] But you can ask Jimmy or Eric or Dan over at the Supreme Resort.

[00:14:18] They should know this.

[00:14:18] They should.

[00:14:19] They should.

[00:14:21] Darth Maul's cloak was inspired by one, a Tibetan monk wore in a 1940 photograph.

[00:14:28] Huh.

[00:14:29] There you go.

[00:14:30] It's a black cloak.

[00:14:31] A black cloak, yeah.

[00:14:33] I guess they need that inspiration.

[00:14:34] Maybe the big hood.

[00:14:35] I don't know.

[00:14:36] Maybe.

[00:14:36] I don't know.

[00:14:37] It's really wrinkled and pleated.

[00:14:40] Sure.

[00:14:41] Maybe because it's very pleated.

[00:14:42] I don't know.

[00:14:44] The first model for the escape pod in A New Hope was two paint buckets attached to each other.

[00:14:51] Huh.

[00:14:52] Okay.

[00:14:53] Interesting.

[00:14:54] Yeah.

[00:14:54] I always find it interesting when it's like, you know, I think Hollywood, all right, they're

[00:14:59] going to like make a thing.

[00:15:00] Right.

[00:15:01] But apparently a lot of Hollywood is just, hey, this ice cream maker looks like it could

[00:15:06] be space looking.

[00:15:07] Carry this around.

[00:15:08] And now we have the running of the wheels.

[00:15:10] Yep.

[00:15:10] So it is interesting.

[00:15:12] I don't know if that's all of Star Wars or just, or all of Hollywood or if Star Wars likes

[00:15:15] to do that.

[00:15:16] Even like musicals, like my son loves going to musicals.

[00:15:21] I think they're even more like this piece.

[00:15:24] I can, I found this at a junkyard.

[00:15:27] We're going to use this piece.

[00:15:28] Right.

[00:15:29] Even more so than Hollywood does.

[00:15:31] Last one.

[00:15:32] Poe Diamond was going to die in The Force Awakens.

[00:15:36] But the actor who played him, Oscar Isaac, convinced producers to keep the character alive.

[00:15:43] That's a man who wanted another paycheck right there.

[00:15:44] He did.

[00:15:45] He said, he said, I just bought a big ass house.

[00:15:47] Yeah.

[00:15:48] It's got payments.

[00:15:49] It's got payments.

[00:15:50] I didn't realize how, how high the interest rates were going to get post COVID.

[00:15:55] And I need, you know, with the Fed looking where in the situation that it is, you know,

[00:16:01] Jerome Powell as the acting head of the Fed, you know, I just don't think he's going to

[00:16:05] bring these, these rates down.

[00:16:08] So I really, yeah.

[00:16:09] Anyway, he just needed more money.

[00:16:10] This has been Nick Talks Economics.

[00:16:13] You know, sometimes I just commit to the bit.

[00:16:15] You did.

[00:16:16] I got to go.

[00:16:16] I was impressed.

[00:16:17] I was letting you go.

[00:16:18] I wanted to see how far you could go.

[00:16:20] As soon as I brought out Jerome Powell's name, I'm like, all right.

[00:16:22] All right.

[00:16:23] You're like, yes, I'm going.

[00:16:24] I made it.

[00:16:24] I made it.

[00:16:24] Anyway.

[00:16:25] So, yeah.

[00:16:27] I don't know whether he would look back on that decision fondly or not at this point,

[00:16:32] considering, you know.

[00:16:34] I don't know how much hate he personally got.

[00:16:37] Sure.

[00:16:38] They didn't, they didn't diss his character as much.

[00:16:40] I think of all the main characters, his got dissed the least.

[00:16:43] Sure.

[00:16:44] So he's like, hey.

[00:16:46] He got it.

[00:16:46] He got paid.

[00:16:47] Yeah.

[00:16:47] You guys, you guys are getting made fun of all the time.

[00:16:49] People like me.

[00:16:50] So I don't care.

[00:16:51] Yep.

[00:16:52] So, yeah.

[00:16:52] All right.

[00:16:54] That's it for my Christmas presents.

[00:16:56] And over my shoulder over here, I do have my dog.

[00:17:00] Flippy is wearing a Obi-Wan Kenobi costume.

[00:17:04] So it's kind of hard to see.

[00:17:05] I'll let you see it there.

[00:17:06] It's actually beautiful.

[00:17:07] It really is.

[00:17:07] It is wonderful.

[00:17:08] All of those are Star Wars themed Christmas presents that I got.

[00:17:12] So I wanted to share them with the audience.

[00:17:14] When we come back from this commercial break,

[00:17:17] we are going to talk all about the Skeleton Crew episode five.

[00:17:23] Such a good episode.

[00:17:30] I think it just hurt your stomach.

[00:17:31] I'm like.

[00:17:32] It was.

[00:17:33] It was more like my, it was a throat bubble or something like that.

[00:17:35] And we're back.

[00:17:36] And we're back.

[00:17:37] We're back.

[00:17:38] We're back.

[00:17:38] Hey.

[00:17:39] So we're here to talk about Skeleton Crew episode five.

[00:17:42] Cinco.

[00:17:43] Cinco de Skeleton.

[00:17:45] Cinco de Skeleton Crew.

[00:17:47] It was called.

[00:17:49] Remind me again.

[00:17:50] You got a lot to learn about.

[00:17:51] Being a pirate.

[00:17:52] You got a lot to learn about being a pirate.

[00:17:54] Yes.

[00:17:54] Yes.

[00:17:55] And so, yeah, me and Rob do try not to talk too much about these things until we step foot in here.

[00:18:00] So I have not told Rob how I feel about this episode.

[00:18:03] No.

[00:18:04] Tell me how you feel, Nick.

[00:18:05] It's my favorite so far.

[00:18:06] Okay, good.

[00:18:07] Yeah.

[00:18:07] I thought it was great.

[00:18:09] It was definitely my favorite episode of the season.

[00:18:12] And I thought it was a great episode.

[00:18:15] I agree.

[00:18:15] I thought it was a phenomenal episode.

[00:18:17] First of all, the runtime was long.

[00:18:19] Yes.

[00:18:20] It was a 47 minute show, which means 39 minutes of runtime.

[00:18:24] Yeah.

[00:18:25] That's an appropriate amount.

[00:18:26] Mm-hmm.

[00:18:27] I'll take that, right?

[00:18:29] But it had.

[00:18:31] Because honestly, sorry, 47 minutes, if you're watching it with commercials, it's an hour show.

[00:18:36] Yeah.

[00:18:36] So that's perfect.

[00:18:37] That's what you want.

[00:18:38] That's what we want.

[00:18:38] But Disney, Disney Plus, Bob Iger.

[00:18:46] What's her name?

[00:18:46] Kathy Kennedy.

[00:18:47] Kathy Kennedy.

[00:18:48] Listen, this is what we want.

[00:18:49] 47 minutes with credits.

[00:18:51] Give us a nice, long 39-minute episode.

[00:18:54] We're very happy.

[00:18:54] You heard it here.

[00:18:55] Actually, you know, I think after the amount of episodes we've put out and the amount of

[00:18:59] times we brought this up, I think it's safe to say that we probably had a large hand.

[00:19:04] Oh, 100% we did.

[00:19:05] In the extension.

[00:19:06] Oh, yeah.

[00:19:06] So like, you know, good for you, Rob, and good for me.

[00:19:08] They listen to us all the time.

[00:19:11] Anyway, I thought it was like so that it was in parts really freaking funny.

[00:19:17] Yes.

[00:19:18] The action was really interesting.

[00:19:21] And again, with this, it's not bogged down by expectations of, you know, this character

[00:19:27] has got to do that or we're going to meet this character.

[00:19:29] It's all new.

[00:19:29] So it's like, I don't know.

[00:19:32] I didn't feel like, I remember last time I thought the pacing was weird.

[00:19:34] I didn't love that time with like a little child army.

[00:19:37] I never had any of those moments where I was bored.

[00:19:40] No, not in this episode at all.

[00:19:41] Yeah.

[00:19:42] Going on.

[00:19:42] So yeah.

[00:19:43] We can start at the beginning.

[00:19:45] We can start at the beginning.

[00:19:46] Yes, I agree.

[00:19:47] I really enjoyed this episode.

[00:19:49] This was very much a Goonies episode.

[00:19:53] And once again, there was another opportunity for them to say, you'll shoot your eye out,

[00:19:59] kid.

[00:20:00] And they dropped.

[00:20:01] And they dropped the ball again.

[00:20:02] Come on.

[00:20:03] I really want you to do this.

[00:20:05] There was only one part that I was like, and it was very minimal.

[00:20:10] And I think it was just the writers not necessarily understanding kids of this age.

[00:20:19] Okay.

[00:20:20] And when we get there, I will elaborate on it a little bit.

[00:20:24] But yeah, I was a little disappointed.

[00:20:28] Not the very first scene, but the first scene after the credits.

[00:20:32] Everybody's already on the ship.

[00:20:34] Yeah.

[00:20:34] So we didn't get our jump to light speed.

[00:20:36] No, we didn't get to see what Jod did to the people outside of the ship either.

[00:20:41] Or Job, Jod.

[00:20:42] Yeah, Jod.

[00:20:43] Yeah.

[00:20:43] You had it.

[00:20:44] Because I really wanted to see if they were going to see all these bodies and we didn't

[00:20:49] see that.

[00:20:49] So we'll never know.

[00:20:51] Apparently he, I mean, he could have used, we haven't seen him use a mind trick on anybody

[00:20:56] yet.

[00:20:56] But no, but I think it's, it's safe to assume given his proclivity for, you know, not doing

[00:21:05] great stuff.

[00:21:05] It's probably something he had taught himself.

[00:21:08] If he's, you know, like there's lots of theories about, you know, who he is and how much training

[00:21:12] he's had and whether he's had training.

[00:21:14] Right.

[00:21:15] But I would be willing to bet that if he's got enough, you know, kind of use over the

[00:21:20] force as he does, you know, it's not like he's accidentally using it.

[00:21:23] He knows he's got some use for it.

[00:21:25] To me, it seems like maybe he was a Padawan who survived Order 66.

[00:21:29] And we can kind of talk about a little bit about that later as we come to some of these

[00:21:32] moments.

[00:21:34] But it seems to me like something he would be able to teach himself and figure out and he

[00:21:39] would use considering the kind of guy he is.

[00:21:41] Yeah.

[00:21:41] Yeah.

[00:21:41] Considering that he's, he's a pirate and as we find out a bounty hunter, but I would

[00:21:48] think most pirates are bounty hunters also.

[00:21:52] Probably.

[00:21:52] They seem to go hand in hand.

[00:21:54] So that wasn't like a big reveal.

[00:21:56] I was reading some Facebook posts and people were like, oh, we found out not only was he

[00:22:01] a pirate, but he was a bounty hunter.

[00:22:02] And I'm like, yeah, kind of, I think they would all be, but so yeah, so whatever.

[00:22:05] So we'll get into all that.

[00:22:06] But the opening scene, the adults are trying to hack the system.

[00:22:10] Yes.

[00:22:11] And doing a terrible job at it.

[00:22:13] Yes.

[00:22:14] Literally as he's like sitting there sweating bullets while that little droid is walking

[00:22:19] over, I'm thinking like, why don't you just put something on top of it, man?

[00:22:22] Yeah.

[00:22:22] Or like put it in your pants.

[00:22:25] Kick it.

[00:22:25] Like.

[00:22:26] Yeah.

[00:22:26] So.

[00:22:27] In the waist of your pants.

[00:22:28] So what we're talking about, Wynn's dad and what's the elephant?

[00:22:35] Neil's mom.

[00:22:36] Neil's mom comes into the office and he's like, what are you doing here?

[00:22:39] Very 1984 ish.

[00:22:41] Yep.

[00:22:43] Um, everybody's working at their own little cubicles.

[00:22:45] There's no talking space.

[00:22:47] Cubicles are clear.

[00:22:48] They are clear.

[00:22:49] Yeah.

[00:22:49] Last pain.

[00:22:50] Yeah.

[00:22:50] There's no talking.

[00:22:52] Everybody's doing their job.

[00:22:53] There's robots standing around watching them.

[00:22:55] So the school security robots are also patrolling the adults at the same time, giving us more

[00:23:05] of this 1984.

[00:23:07] Also this like big brother.

[00:23:09] That's like scary.

[00:23:10] There's something sinister going on on this planet.

[00:23:13] At some point, something turned and whatever.

[00:23:15] Um, so she's like, we have to do this.

[00:23:19] Just plug this in and, uh, we'll get the information.

[00:23:23] And he's like, all right, go.

[00:23:25] And everybody's whispering and he sits down and plugs it in and his computer surges.

[00:23:32] So the giant one eyed robots come over and says, uh, please get away from your, your computer

[00:23:39] system.

[00:23:41] And he puts both his hands behind his back.

[00:23:44] Like he's a four year old.

[00:23:46] Yep.

[00:23:47] Uh, I think Vangie has done this to you with her Cheerios.

[00:23:50] I'm sure.

[00:23:51] Yeah.

[00:23:51] No, there's nothing.

[00:23:52] I don't have them.

[00:23:53] No.

[00:23:53] And then show me your hand.

[00:23:55] Here you go.

[00:23:56] Okay.

[00:23:56] Now show me your other hand.

[00:23:58] At some point he could have easily tucked it into his pants when he had both his hands

[00:24:03] behind his back or the switch between hands.

[00:24:08] It took him 10 seconds to switch like this guy.

[00:24:12] Come on, dude.

[00:24:13] You're not smooth.

[00:24:14] You're not smooth at all.

[00:24:15] You're not JB smooth.

[00:24:16] But luckily, apparently like his, like his boss is, uh, Fern's mom.

[00:24:23] Fern's mom.

[00:24:23] Yeah.

[00:24:24] And she tells the robot, no, there's a lot of telling droids.

[00:24:28] They, they forgot stuff talking about Jedi mind tricks.

[00:24:31] Yeah.

[00:24:31] Like there's a whole lot of telling droids.

[00:24:34] You, you don't, you didn't see that.

[00:24:35] And they're just like, all right.

[00:24:36] And then she's like, shut off.

[00:24:37] All right.

[00:24:37] So yeah.

[00:24:38] She was like, wipe this from your memory.

[00:24:40] Okay.

[00:24:40] And then turn yourself off.

[00:24:42] And then they had this nice little conversation together about, right.

[00:24:45] You're not acting fast enough.

[00:24:47] Our kids.

[00:24:47] She's like, we'll go to the supervisor.

[00:24:50] We'll take care of it.

[00:24:51] The supervisor is not going to do anything.

[00:24:53] You're not.

[00:24:53] And there are theories about who the supervisor is too.

[00:24:56] Yes.

[00:24:56] Yes, there are.

[00:24:57] There's lots of different, you want to go over robots, dead people.

[00:25:01] When he got.

[00:25:01] So the big theory I saw was that the pirate that we learn about later, what's his name?

[00:25:10] He's like essentially black beard.

[00:25:13] Tacko, Tacko Renard and Renard.

[00:25:15] Tacko Renard.

[00:25:15] Tacko Renard.

[00:25:16] Yes.

[00:25:16] Something like that.

[00:25:18] The theory is that maybe he is like, he crash landed on at Atten.

[00:25:23] He killed his crew.

[00:25:25] He made the robot think that he died.

[00:25:29] And then he became the supervisor.

[00:25:32] The, you know, the thought about that, you know, it's obviously too early to tell.

[00:25:36] This is like a fledgling little thought.

[00:25:38] But I mean, whenever there's a hologram that very clearly they don't want you to see the face.

[00:25:44] Yes.

[00:25:45] The thought is, all right, who this person is, is going to be a reveal.

[00:25:48] Right.

[00:25:48] So my thought is we're going to meet the supervisor at some point and then it's going to be revealed.

[00:25:53] Oh gosh, it was, it's one eyed Willie.

[00:25:55] He's here, you know.

[00:25:56] What did he say?

[00:25:57] His, um, was not con was a concubine concubine.

[00:26:01] Yes.

[00:26:02] That was, that was also very funny.

[00:26:04] What's a concubine?

[00:26:05] Yes.

[00:26:06] Don't worry about it.

[00:26:06] A concubine.

[00:26:06] A woman who lives with a man she is not married to when in some societies has a lower social rank than his wife.

[00:26:13] Um, other side piece, side piece, his side piece.

[00:26:17] As they would say today.

[00:26:18] Um, so interesting that your theory that you heard that the pirate is the supervisor because I also, um, Ryan Airy thinks that the pirate is Smith.

[00:26:37] Okay.

[00:26:37] I said 33.

[00:26:38] I said 33.

[00:26:39] All right.

[00:26:39] That's interesting.

[00:26:41] And after.

[00:26:42] I don't hate that.

[00:26:43] I don't hate that.

[00:26:44] And after he said it, I rewatched it.

[00:26:46] Now we're jumping all the way to the end here.

[00:26:48] Um, in the hologram that you don't see his face when they have a wide shot of the hologram, his elbow looks like the gear that 33 has.

[00:27:01] Okay.

[00:27:01] Yeah.

[00:27:02] When you get closer, you can't really see it because it's covered in the, in the pirates, uh, jacket and things like that.

[00:27:08] And he also says, if you look at the giant mask, that's in the middle, the gold mask, the middle section kind of looks also like 33's face a little bit.

[00:27:21] So now that I saw those two things, I'm kind of like, Oh, maybe, maybe this is true.

[00:27:28] That would be interesting.

[00:27:28] Especially considering the amount of like disrespect droids have been tossed.

[00:27:32] Yeah.

[00:27:32] Uh, so him to wind up being, that'd be interesting.

[00:27:35] He thinks that the, which is where maybe your pirate captain could be over there.

[00:27:41] He thinks that the pirate captain can made 33, the captain of the ship.

[00:27:50] That way you don't have people trying to challenge him to become the captain.

[00:27:57] Okay.

[00:27:58] Because none of them can take down this robot.

[00:28:01] This robot can kill everybody.

[00:28:02] So why challenge you if I know you're just going to kill me right away?

[00:28:07] Um, so, and then part of it was that he was programmed then to also forget that he was the captain.

[00:28:14] So that would be interesting if when they're flying to, or they get on the planet, he remembers that he's the captain.

[00:28:25] And thereby, Jod is not the captain.

[00:28:29] So then he can release the kids from their prison, whatever, because at the very end he says, put them in prison.

[00:28:35] Right.

[00:28:36] Um, obviously, you know, everybody's going to go to, at, at, and somehow, somebody, everybody's going to get to, at, at, and somehow.

[00:28:43] So it'll be interesting to see if he remembers that he is the captain, if that is the case.

[00:28:48] Okay.

[00:28:49] I don't, I like that.

[00:28:50] I don't know that I'm sold on it.

[00:28:52] Yeah.

[00:28:52] Um, cause I don't, I don't know what the payoff to that is.

[00:28:56] You know what I mean?

[00:28:56] Right.

[00:28:57] Like, I don't know where that, where that leads us in the end.

[00:29:01] You know what I mean?

[00:29:01] Like with the, being the supervisor, we could, we could kind of like see where this, I just don't see where the, but I do like that.

[00:29:09] I had not thought about that.

[00:29:11] Um, and I liked the idea of the droid being the captain too.

[00:29:14] So, and he, just the way he's been around the whole time and right.

[00:29:18] Like they've, they've been so leaning into droid memory manipulation and stuff.

[00:29:22] Yes.

[00:29:23] Yes.

[00:29:23] And like you said, droids being second class citizens.

[00:29:26] Right.

[00:29:27] So now suddenly he's the, the first class and we're all the second class.

[00:29:31] And they've also made a big point out of the fact, like he's like, you can't fight this guy.

[00:29:37] Right.

[00:29:37] Like he, like he's downright terrifying in the last scene of the previous episode where he's like.

[00:29:44] Like his voice modulates.

[00:29:46] Yeah.

[00:29:46] It's very horrifying.

[00:29:47] He's ready to kill all four of the kids without even thinking about it.

[00:29:51] So it'd be interesting.

[00:29:52] I like that.

[00:29:53] Yeah.

[00:29:53] I guess we'll have to wait till next week to find out.

[00:29:55] I guess.

[00:29:56] Um, so yeah.

[00:29:57] So then the kids, then then we, after, after he gets, after the dad gets caught and the mom and whatever, um, then the kids have 33 tied down with ropes.

[00:30:09] Yeah.

[00:30:10] Thank goodness.

[00:30:11] Thank goodness.

[00:30:11] And the, and everybody they're fighting over who's going to turn them back on.

[00:30:15] And, uh, it was very interesting.

[00:30:18] John fighting with the girl.

[00:30:20] No, you're scared.

[00:30:21] No, you're scared.

[00:30:22] Uh, and then she's like, I'm not scared.

[00:30:25] Uh, what's the girl's name?

[00:30:27] It's like two letters.

[00:30:29] KB.

[00:30:29] Yeah.

[00:30:30] KB untie him or turn them on.

[00:30:32] Yeah.

[00:30:32] And she's like, oh, so, uh, then he, he wakes up and he, and he talks about tack Renard and, uh, the big pirate that once owned the, it's not the dark.

[00:30:44] Dread pirate Roberts did.

[00:30:45] Yes.

[00:30:47] Um, the onyx cinder, onyx cinder.

[00:30:50] And then that's when you see the black pearl.

[00:30:53] And that's when you see John is starting to like put things together.

[00:30:57] And you can already see he's now thinking of his exit strategy to get away from the kids.

[00:31:04] Once he gets the information, he's putting it all together.

[00:31:06] Now, while this is the best ship ever and blah, blah, blah.

[00:31:08] He gives you a nice, good backstory on the black pearl and how it was fortified and, um, running rampant at the time.

[00:31:19] And, and he was the big, best pirate of all time.

[00:31:22] And while all that's going on, uh, Wim runs off crying.

[00:31:26] Yes.

[00:31:27] And, uh, this is a, a little piece of Jod having the most sympathy that he can.

[00:31:36] Yep.

[00:31:37] Yeah.

[00:31:37] Yeah.

[00:31:37] I just love at the beginning where he's like, Oh, like he's, he's almost like, like disgusted about, Oh, I gotta, I, okay, fine.

[00:31:44] I gotta talk to a kid.

[00:31:45] I gotta go talk to the kid.

[00:31:47] He's like, you'll be fine.

[00:31:48] And he goes, I'm never going to see my mom and dad again.

[00:31:50] When we get back, you will.

[00:31:52] Yeah.

[00:31:52] But my mom's dead.

[00:31:53] And he's like walking away.

[00:31:54] He's like, Oh, you see his, since I go, I have to turn around, I have to turn around.

[00:32:00] I have to talk to this freaking kid.

[00:32:01] Okay.

[00:32:01] But this is another moment where it's interesting that that's what makes him turn around is that his mom is dead.

[00:32:08] Yes.

[00:32:09] Cause like if he's a Badawan who survived order 66, you know, he is a shared trauma of like a parental figure being killed.

[00:32:19] Yeah.

[00:32:19] And being, feeling alone.

[00:32:20] Or even just all the young, uh, Padawans were all taken from their families.

[00:32:27] Yep.

[00:32:28] So when he says, you know, you just got to forget about them.

[00:32:31] They're all, what's he called them?

[00:32:35] Attachments.

[00:32:35] Attachments.

[00:32:36] And that's, that's a big word that they use in the jet.

[00:32:38] And that, yeah, that, and there were two things in this conversation that were like big, like flags to me that this guy seems like he was trained.

[00:32:47] That was one of them when he used the word attachments.

[00:32:48] Uh huh.

[00:32:49] That's the Jedi use it.

[00:32:50] And the other one was when he straight up quoted Qui-Gon.

[00:32:53] He did.

[00:32:53] He quoted Qui-Gon.

[00:32:54] Your focus determines your reality.

[00:32:57] Yep.

[00:32:57] That, that like immediately I went, oh, that's, that's a Jedi thing.

[00:33:00] Mm hmm.

[00:33:01] Um, so like, yeah, it just seems to me like this isn't a guy who like found out he could use the force and, and figure it, he, he's clearly got a more complicated backstory than that.

[00:33:12] But I'm trying to think, cause like, if that is the case, it's pretty amazing because it means he lasted as a pirate from order 66 through the Inquisitor age.

[00:33:24] Uh huh.

[00:33:25] Um, through the fall of the empire as a force user without getting caught.

[00:33:29] And that's pretty cool.

[00:33:29] I think also what we've seen him use of the force is very minimal too.

[00:33:37] Um, like he didn't carry a lightsaber.

[00:33:41] Right.

[00:33:41] He didn't do all of these major Jedi things.

[00:33:46] Um, so the lightsaber thing, I mean, there, there is precedent in the expanded universe for, you know, during order 66, many of them, even if they had a lightsaber, they wouldn't use them.

[00:33:56] Right.

[00:33:57] Cause they don't want to attract that attention.

[00:33:58] Yeah.

[00:33:58] Uh, so if he was a Padawan, it's possible that that happened or else maybe he, order 66 happened before he even made his lightsaber.

[00:34:06] Yeah.

[00:34:06] Yeah.

[00:34:07] But you know, he was all too eager to pick up that lightsaber at the end of the show.

[00:34:11] He sure was.

[00:34:12] And, um, it was very Jedi impressive move that he had there.

[00:34:19] Yeah.

[00:34:19] It almost seemed like, you know, I don't know, years of like, like, again, it could have been like years of hiding who I actually am.

[00:34:26] Uh huh.

[00:34:26] Uh huh.

[00:34:26] You know.

[00:34:27] And then, oh, got it back.

[00:34:29] Yes.

[00:34:30] Um, so then, um, he has that conversation.

[00:34:34] Qui-Gon said the same thing.

[00:34:35] Then a pirate's lair has turned into a tourist spot now.

[00:34:38] So then they, they pull out of the pirate's lair.

[00:34:42] And it goes by many names.

[00:34:44] Yeah.

[00:34:45] Skull Rock.

[00:34:46] Skull Rock.

[00:34:47] Yeah.

[00:34:47] All these.

[00:34:48] And, uh, whatever Landis or what.

[00:34:50] He was talking it up about the, yeah.

[00:34:52] As soon as they, he mentioned the pools of acid too, by the way.

[00:34:55] I was like, all right, we're going to see acid.

[00:34:56] We're going to see acid.

[00:34:57] Yeah.

[00:34:58] Uh, it just reminded me of, uh, growing up.

[00:35:01] There was, I had a favorite Taco Bell that I went to.

[00:35:03] Yeah.

[00:35:04] And now that I moved away, when I go back, that Taco Bell is now like a jewelry store.

[00:35:09] Oh yeah.

[00:35:10] And I'm like.

[00:35:10] You look at that Taco Bell like, oh.

[00:35:12] Yeah.

[00:35:12] Yeah.

[00:35:12] I had so many burritos there.

[00:35:14] I did.

[00:35:15] I was like, oh, that's where I had my first taco.

[00:35:17] Right.

[00:35:17] You know, and now like, he's going, oh, this is the greatest.

[00:35:20] What the heck is going on?

[00:35:22] And it's like, oh.

[00:35:22] And it's the best too, because they're always still shaped like Taco Bells.

[00:35:25] Uh huh.

[00:35:25] Yeah.

[00:35:25] So he's like, you can't hide the fact.

[00:35:27] You can't hide that it was a Taco Bell.

[00:35:28] No matter what the sign says, it's still an old Taco Bell.

[00:35:32] Yeah.

[00:35:33] So it's essentially this planet is an old Taco Bell.

[00:35:35] This planet is an old Taco Bell.

[00:35:36] Think about this planet like an old Taco Bell.

[00:35:37] Yeah.

[00:35:37] That's right.

[00:35:38] A Taco Bell that's been replaced.

[00:35:39] He says that the elders, they come out in fallen order.

[00:35:43] Uh, oh, the pleasure yachts are similar to that that you've seen in fallen order.

[00:35:47] Uh.

[00:35:47] Yes.

[00:35:48] And, uh, he says that the elders are barat arts.

[00:35:52] Um, basically he was saying they're brats.

[00:35:54] Yes.

[00:35:54] They're, they're from Baratus.

[00:35:56] That's what it was.

[00:35:56] He said the elders are from Baratus.

[00:35:58] Uh, and then we see the mud pits.

[00:36:01] Um, which is funny to me because when we were in the Dominican Republic, we went swimming

[00:36:10] in this waterfall and then the guy says, oh, if you dig down, there's mud down there.

[00:36:17] That's very healing to your skin.

[00:36:20] And of course, all of us stupid, uh, gringos, gringos were all like, yeah, that's a great idea.

[00:36:27] We're all putting mud on our face.

[00:36:30] And I'm like, would we put mud on our face if we were in the backyard of New Jersey?

[00:36:34] No.

[00:36:35] But because we're in the DR, we're like, yeah, that sounds like a great idea.

[00:36:38] This mud and clay is whatever.

[00:36:40] So seeing that, it just made me laugh as well.

[00:36:43] I'm like, okay.

[00:36:45] Um, you, you saw a lot of the wealthy species from the Canto Bay casino in the last Jedi.

[00:36:51] Yep.

[00:36:52] They also specifically mentioned that the banking clan was in town.

[00:36:55] The banking clan was in town.

[00:36:56] Uh-huh.

[00:36:57] Who, who essentially run the banking clan.

[00:36:59] Yep.

[00:37:00] Um, so a lot of, a lot of that with, uh, and then I really enjoyed when they put the restraining

[00:37:04] bolt on, on 33.

[00:37:06] And every time he tried to, he got a jolt.

[00:37:10] He's like, that, that won't work on me.

[00:37:13] Yep.

[00:37:14] Um, so yeah, so it was pretty funny.

[00:37:16] Um, and then we, we did see, they talk about the banking clan, but then we don't really see

[00:37:21] anything else about them later.

[00:37:22] Yeah.

[00:37:22] I thought that would, that would like lead to something.

[00:37:25] Yeah.

[00:37:25] So maybe in the next episode, we'll find out a little bit more about the banking clan.

[00:37:29] Uh, Jod signs in under the name of Professor Omi Glorox.

[00:37:34] And then later on the security guard goes of Scipito and he was like, uh, run.

[00:37:40] So I don't know if you know who the, uh, Scipitos are, but they are, um, what's, uh, they

[00:37:51] have a very long skinny head.

[00:37:54] Okay.

[00:37:55] They're gray skin, very long skinny head.

[00:37:57] Uh, the, uh, wait a minute.

[00:38:03] I need to find it.

[00:38:04] Uh, it's down later.

[00:38:06] Um, because then he runs into, uh, all right.

[00:38:11] I'll find out more about him later.

[00:38:15] All right.

[00:38:15] Well, it's, it's written in my notes somewhere later, but anyway, so we'll come back to that

[00:38:19] because, um, we find out that there's the reason why he says run is because he does not

[00:38:27] look like a Scipito at all.

[00:38:29] He is.

[00:38:29] He is.

[00:38:30] He does not fit the time.

[00:38:31] He is clearly not a Scipito.

[00:38:32] Yeah.

[00:38:33] Um, so then he has a fun scene with the hotel host with, he gives her the old Republic credit

[00:38:38] and he goes, yeah, you can find a room for me.

[00:38:41] Yep.

[00:38:42] And then she goes, and what about the elders?

[00:38:44] And now this is where like, they're making the kids out to be like eight, seven, eight.

[00:38:51] Yeah.

[00:38:51] They're like completely uncontrollable, silly in the background.

[00:38:55] And he was like, uh, and for them, and he's giving her another bribe.

[00:38:59] And then his friend comes over, um, and she packet, uh, pick it, pick it, pick it, pick

[00:39:07] How's it spelled?

[00:39:08] I, I, I spelled it wrong.

[00:39:09] Why?

[00:39:10] Yeah.

[00:39:10] I wrote, I just typed it in real fast, but pick it.

[00:39:13] She sees John and approaches, um, because he almost killed her for her bounty.

[00:39:18] And, um, so then they have a whole big conversation.

[00:39:21] Do you know who she is?

[00:39:22] I don't.

[00:39:23] She is the voice of Merida.

[00:39:27] Really?

[00:39:28] Yes.

[00:39:28] I did not.

[00:39:29] Yeah.

[00:39:29] So she's the voice of Merida.

[00:39:30] She was also in Boardwalk Empire.

[00:39:34] I don't know if you watch that series on HBO.

[00:39:36] Um, yeah.

[00:39:37] So she's the voice of, of Merida.

[00:39:39] Um, she could be an Arcanian or a way seeker from the high Republic area.

[00:39:44] And then after she runs into Jod, Jod then gives all of his credits to the host and is

[00:39:51] like, I went to best room.

[00:39:53] I'm spending all your money.

[00:39:54] I don't even care.

[00:39:56] Bribe, bribe, bribe.

[00:39:57] Get me into the biggest room, whatever.

[00:39:59] So then she does.

[00:40:00] And then Jod's like panicking and the kids aren't picking up on this at all.

[00:40:05] No, they're in the mini bar.

[00:40:06] They're in the mini bar, they're jumping up and down on the bed.

[00:40:10] They're acting like really.

[00:40:11] And I get it.

[00:40:13] Maybe like these kids have now, we'll say it's been weeks.

[00:40:17] Sure.

[00:40:17] At this point that they've been like on this ship.

[00:40:21] And even, uh, when in the beginning was like, I thought this was going to be fun and it's

[00:40:26] not, it's dark and scary.

[00:40:27] I want to go home.

[00:40:28] So for like a moment, maybe the kids are like, Oh my God, this is so much fun.

[00:40:33] Um, but I still think that they were making them a little too immature.

[00:40:37] Yeah.

[00:40:38] I, I mean, I, I think the whole thing is kind of like a metaphor for growing up.

[00:40:41] Yeah.

[00:40:42] Like every kid thinks that they want to grow up.

[00:40:45] Uh, and then they grow up and they realize, Oh, this is not, I should have said it.

[00:40:49] Yeah.

[00:40:50] Right.

[00:40:50] Like this is, they think you grow up and you, you just get to do what you want, but

[00:40:53] you grow up and yeah, you can do things you want, but then it comes with all this other

[00:40:57] stuff.

[00:40:57] It comes with all this other stuff.

[00:40:58] Um, and so it, to me, it feels just kind of like there were several times throughout

[00:41:02] the episode where they're kind of emphasizing that where, you know, this wasn't what I thought

[00:41:06] it was going to be.

[00:41:08] And you know, I don't know.

[00:41:08] It, so it, it is, this has happened a couple of times in this series where it does seem like

[00:41:15] they're laying it on a little thick.

[00:41:16] Yes.

[00:41:17] I mean, where it's like they, they, they want to get a point across and to do it.

[00:41:21] They're, they're a little heavy handed, a little heavy handed with it.

[00:41:24] Yeah.

[00:41:24] So that, that was the only thing that I didn't like about this episode was how at times they

[00:41:29] made the kids super immature.

[00:41:31] Sure.

[00:41:31] Um, and then pocket goes back to her, uh, room and she's calling in the bounty to Wolfman

[00:41:39] Jack.

[00:41:40] Yes.

[00:41:40] And saying, Hey, I don't know what you call them, but this is what I called them.

[00:41:44] And they went through like, like all the different, all the, all the, all the,

[00:41:47] all the, all the, all the, all the, all the, all the, all the, all the, all the, all the

[00:41:48] And she's like, you call them what you want.

[00:41:49] Star Lord.

[00:41:50] Pay me.

[00:41:51] Star Lord.

[00:41:52] It's a, what did it's code name?

[00:41:55] What did they call it?

[00:41:55] Something like that.

[00:41:57] Um, so then the kids are out on the search for the hidden cave.

[00:42:02] Um, John gets stopped as he asked, this is it.

[00:42:05] Uh, there's specific looking creature from the banking clan and John looks nothing like

[00:42:10] them.

[00:42:10] They have a long skinny head.

[00:42:11] Darth Plagueis.

[00:42:13] Oh, that's immune.

[00:42:14] Immune is immune.

[00:42:15] If you saw the acolyte, the munes are from Scipito.

[00:42:19] Oh, so that's, that's where it all comes into handy.

[00:42:22] I probably should have known that, but yeah, that's interesting.

[00:42:24] So yeah, munes.

[00:42:25] Yeah.

[00:42:26] He definitely does not look like a, does not look like immune.

[00:42:28] No.

[00:42:28] Um, so that's when he's like, Oh, that, okay, we're out of here.

[00:42:33] Yep.

[00:42:33] Um, and then once again, it was, they did a pretty good job of hiding it, but the, anytime

[00:42:40] anybody runs on the volume, it's just so cheesy because they get to run like, you know, 12

[00:42:48] feet.

[00:42:48] Yeah.

[00:42:48] And then they have to stop and then have to change the angle and then do it again and

[00:42:52] whatever.

[00:42:52] They're doing a good job of making it look better.

[00:42:55] But even still, it's like, um, then the other kids, they find a Catholic, Catholic, Catholic,

[00:43:04] Catholic.

[00:43:05] So that's, that's his name.

[00:43:07] Okay.

[00:43:07] It's not, it's not the type of, uh, creature that he is.

[00:43:10] I don't think there is so far.

[00:43:12] Like, I think it's new.

[00:43:13] I don't like, I have, I tried to look it up to see if something we've seen.

[00:43:17] No, it, it is very reminiscent of Cthulhu, you know, which is like a, uh, uh, what's

[00:43:24] the, what's the guy, the Cthulhu guy?

[00:43:26] Uh, is he also from Star Wars?

[00:43:28] No.

[00:43:29] Cthulhu is like a, like a legendary monster.

[00:43:32] Oh, okay.

[00:43:33] Um, H.P.

[00:43:34] Lovecraft.

[00:43:35] Uh, like, so like, you know, like when the, the whole thing with Cthulhu is like, he's

[00:43:39] like this malevolent force that turns people mad and stuff like that.

[00:43:43] Okay.

[00:43:43] Uh, but he's like a flying, like a floating octopus thing with all those tentacles.

[00:43:49] Yeah.

[00:43:49] He definitely had a lot of tentacles.

[00:43:51] So it seems like it's a play off that.

[00:43:53] Okay.

[00:43:53] Um, so it's interesting that they introduce him as like this kind of malevolent thing.

[00:43:57] And then it turns out he just wants to hang out and hear a good story.

[00:44:01] Yeah.

[00:44:02] Tell me a good story.

[00:44:03] Yeah.

[00:44:03] And he's like this enormous, like weird looking, like scare looking thing.

[00:44:07] And he's just like, Hey guys, how can I help you?

[00:44:09] Hey.

[00:44:09] Oh yes.

[00:44:10] He, by its cover.

[00:44:11] Yeah.

[00:44:11] He, he was like, yeah, don't trust him at all.

[00:44:14] That guy smells like lies.

[00:44:16] It smells like lies.

[00:44:17] Um, he was funny because it made me think also kind of like similar to monsters Inc where

[00:44:25] in monster world universe, whatever they call it.

[00:44:29] Like the monsters are drastically different sizes than humans are all similarly in size.

[00:44:37] So like, how did he fit through the doorway?

[00:44:39] Cause he was so big, you know, like things like that.

[00:44:42] Like, although I don't know, have you ever seen an octopus fit through these tiny octopuses?

[00:44:46] Yeah.

[00:44:47] I mean, they're very bendy and he was very octo like, he was very octo like, so maybe he

[00:44:51] can just, yes, slither through and just maybe he has no bones on the inside of an octopus.

[00:44:55] Wilford Brimley.

[00:44:57] Cause he did look like with that mustache.

[00:44:59] He did.

[00:44:59] That's really funny.

[00:45:00] Um, speaking of, do we talk about how old Wilford Brimley was when he did cocoon?

[00:45:07] No, I don't think so.

[00:45:08] You, you, you, you saw, did you see cocoon?

[00:45:10] I mean, I have in the past.

[00:45:11] You know, it's, it's the old people who gets, you know, when the aliens come down and

[00:45:15] blah, blah, blah, all that good stuff.

[00:45:17] He was like 45 in that.

[00:45:19] Well, it's like, I always think about Maggie Smith when she played granny Wendy and hook

[00:45:23] in like 1991 and she was probably 50, you know, and she lived to be like 90, whatever.

[00:45:30] She died like two years ago.

[00:45:32] Right.

[00:45:32] As long as I have known her, as long as I've been alive, she's been old.

[00:45:36] A granny.

[00:45:36] Yeah.

[00:45:36] You know, like she wasn't.

[00:45:38] So yeah, I guess there's just some actors.

[00:45:40] Yeah.

[00:45:40] Like, uh, like, um, uh, Brad Pitt is younger, is older now than Wilford Brimley was when he

[00:45:47] filmed cocoon.

[00:45:48] Wow.

[00:45:49] And just to tell you the difference between how people aged in the eighties versus how

[00:45:54] they're aging now.

[00:45:55] Oh yeah.

[00:45:55] Well, everyone was taking quaaludes in the eighties.

[00:45:57] That's how it was.

[00:45:58] They just aged them so much.

[00:46:00] Yeah.

[00:46:00] Um, so yeah, so he then, um, enjoy their story so much.

[00:46:05] He knew that the secret was through this door and he broke the door for them.

[00:46:10] Yep.

[00:46:11] And the next thing I liked, it made me question what happened next?

[00:46:16] Because he then also let them like, um, carry them down that pit.

[00:46:25] If you notice that the next scene, they're looking up this giant hole.

[00:46:29] And he's looking down and he's looking down at them.

[00:46:32] And you see his one pentacle.

[00:46:33] Your dad.

[00:46:34] Right.

[00:46:34] And I'm like, oh, but then later on the pirates are right behind them.

[00:46:40] So did he help them?

[00:46:41] Did he help them?

[00:46:42] Did they kill him?

[00:46:43] Oh, that made me sad.

[00:46:44] I hope not.

[00:46:45] Yeah.

[00:46:46] So I'll be mad at Urkel if, if I know because he better not have.

[00:46:51] So yeah.

[00:46:52] So that his Urkel straight up killed someone in this episode.

[00:46:54] He did.

[00:46:55] He shot him right in the stomach and then the guy got somehow sucked up.

[00:46:58] I was very confused about that.

[00:47:00] So we get, I think it was one of the booby traps.

[00:47:02] It was.

[00:47:03] Yeah.

[00:47:03] We get several booby traps throughout this episode.

[00:47:05] Um, all again, very Indiana Jones ask.

[00:47:09] And Goonies ask.

[00:47:10] Yes.

[00:47:10] Yes.

[00:47:11] Um, but that one, that one confused me because they were very clear.

[00:47:15] Like this, there's like an anti-gravity field and it'll pull you up into the spikes.

[00:47:19] Right.

[00:47:19] Just about every, um, booby trap we saw had spikes.

[00:47:23] Yes.

[00:47:23] And then at the end of the episode, our buddy Wim decides, Hey, I'm going to hit this thing

[00:47:30] and make us go down this booby trap.

[00:47:32] Which probably has spikes down at the bottom.

[00:47:34] Yeah.

[00:47:35] Spikes.

[00:47:35] Right.

[00:47:36] Unless they looked down it when, um, Neil, he hit it the first time.

[00:47:41] When Neil almost fell into it.

[00:47:42] Maybe they saw what was done.

[00:47:44] I don't know.

[00:47:44] Because just seems like it'd be a very convenient.

[00:47:48] Yeah.

[00:47:48] That every other booby trap.

[00:47:50] Now, maybe it's going to be the Goonie slide next.

[00:47:53] Whoa.

[00:47:54] I didn't even think about that.

[00:47:55] Yeah.

[00:47:56] And then a giant rock's going to be following them as they're on the slide, on the sled.

[00:48:00] And because from Indiana Jones, the boulders coming.

[00:48:04] So that'll be a great scene where you can make a whole video game just out of that one scene.

[00:48:09] Um, so yeah.

[00:48:11] So then they go into the cave.

[00:48:13] Then they get to the acid also.

[00:48:15] Oh, there's like you said, a bunch of the booby traps.

[00:48:18] Then we get to the acid, which is very interesting because it was a very good pirate riddle.

[00:48:24] Um, yeah.

[00:48:24] You know, put in.

[00:48:25] Again, a very one-eyed, but like they're playing the, uh, the chord on the, on the organ.

[00:48:29] Yeah.

[00:48:31] Um, and it was like, uh, whatever you need to sacrifice your most valuable, whatever.

[00:48:37] Right.

[00:48:37] And this is where we get the title of the episode.

[00:48:39] Yes.

[00:48:40] And he says, oh, a person who's going.

[00:48:43] And he says, you don't know.

[00:48:45] There's a lot you need to learn about pirates right here.

[00:48:47] Bam.

[00:48:48] Dun, dun, dun.

[00:48:49] Yep.

[00:48:49] Because pirates don't care about people.

[00:48:51] They care about their booty.

[00:48:52] Yep.

[00:48:52] Hey now.

[00:48:53] Um, Djibouti.

[00:48:54] You know, the capital of Djibouti.

[00:48:56] Is Djibouti.

[00:48:57] Djibouti.

[00:48:58] There you go.

[00:48:58] Um, so then in a very dramatic, oh, Jedi move.

[00:49:06] If John picks up the one credit in his hand, it has it floating above his hand and then

[00:49:13] force pushes it out into the middle of the acid and the gold goes, oh, that's the switch

[00:49:20] and turns it down.

[00:49:22] And as they're walking down into it, I'm thinking, yeah, all the acid's gone, but like, I'm sure

[00:49:26] there's still acid on the floor.

[00:49:27] Yeah.

[00:49:28] That you're stepping on now.

[00:49:29] That is going to eat.

[00:49:30] Now it doesn't hurt.

[00:49:32] It doesn't hurt now.

[00:49:33] So I don't know.

[00:49:35] But semantics.

[00:49:37] Um, so then they go into the treasure room and there's a lot of gold.

[00:49:41] Yeah.

[00:49:42] So this was very cave of wonders.

[00:49:44] Aladdin.

[00:49:45] Like, yes.

[00:49:46] And only touch the lamp.

[00:49:47] Only touch the lamp.

[00:49:49] That's right.

[00:49:49] Or else like in Harry Potter, when they went into Bellatrix Lestrange's vault and anytime

[00:49:54] they touched something, it duplicated and turned hot.

[00:49:57] Yes.

[00:49:58] So yeah, it gave a lot of like a lot of different vibes here.

[00:50:01] I was really hoping people were going to be doing a breakdown of all the stuff that was

[00:50:07] in there because I wanted to see the Indiana Jones, um, arc.

[00:50:14] What's the?

[00:50:14] Arc of the, the, the, the Holy Grail.

[00:50:17] The Holy Grail.

[00:50:18] I wanted to see like other Star Wars things.

[00:50:22] Like when we saw, um, what movie?

[00:50:26] It was the, uh, Andor.

[00:50:28] In Andor.

[00:50:29] In his, the shop.

[00:50:31] Oh yeah, yeah.

[00:50:32] There were all kinds of things.

[00:50:34] You know, there was a, yeah.

[00:50:35] The Beskar armor over here.

[00:50:37] And there was this and there was that.

[00:50:38] And there were all these like Star Wars artifact things in there.

[00:50:44] And I was really hoping to see some of that, but I guess because this time that he was in

[00:50:50] charge or that he was ruling the place was before or like right around, it was before the, uh,

[00:50:57] the clone wars.

[00:50:59] Right.

[00:50:59] So maybe there's stuff in there from the high Republic era that we don't know.

[00:51:03] So the, the lightsaber looks very high Republic.

[00:51:07] Yes.

[00:51:07] Very kind of flashy looking.

[00:51:09] Very flashy.

[00:51:10] There's gold and silver, very shiny.

[00:51:12] Yeah.

[00:51:12] So that, and they are kind of leaning into high Republic stuff right now.

[00:51:16] Mm-hmm.

[00:51:17] Um, especially since they're almost out of the high Republic era in the books.

[00:51:21] Like they're, they're almost done with that.

[00:51:22] Yeah.

[00:51:22] Where they're going next, but they are trying.

[00:51:25] It seems like in the video games and the shows to use a lot more of the stuff.

[00:51:28] So it would not shock me if there was a lot of high Republic, um, you know, like, uh,

[00:51:34] artifacts and stuff like that.

[00:51:36] Um, so yeah, I agree.

[00:51:39] I was hoping to see like when I, when I went on, I was hoping to, Oh, did you notice this

[00:51:44] was actually, but like, it wasn't, yeah, there wasn't any of that stuff, which is a little

[00:51:46] disappointing, but going back to the don't touch anything.

[00:51:49] Then he goes and says, look for something that's out of place, something that it blends

[00:51:55] in that could not be the right thing.

[00:51:57] And of course, leave it to the fat kid to look at the food.

[00:52:00] The food.

[00:52:00] Yeah.

[00:52:00] He finds the food and he goes, uh, succulent chicken.

[00:52:04] It looks delicious.

[00:52:05] Everything else is rotten.

[00:52:06] Everything else is rotten, but not this.

[00:52:08] Um, so then when he touches it, of course, the, the seat that he's leaning on collapses

[00:52:15] at first.

[00:52:16] Right.

[00:52:17] Uh, and luckily everybody is there not standing on the trap door to save him.

[00:52:21] Um, and then they're very, very convenient, very convenient.

[00:52:24] And they go, Ooh, okay.

[00:52:25] Call that plot armor.

[00:52:26] Plot armor.

[00:52:28] Um, and then, um, the other thing that talk going back to the captain, Ryan Airy thinks

[00:52:37] it could be, uh, Narshadad.

[00:52:40] The, the pirates could be from, uh, Nihilus, Nihilus from the high Republic.

[00:52:46] Weren't they?

[00:52:47] The bad guys, the Nihilus, the Nihilus, the Nihilus, the Nihilus.

[00:52:50] Okay.

[00:52:50] So he thinks that the pirates could be the Nihil from the high Republic era.

[00:52:55] I could see that too.

[00:52:56] Uh, after we find out that the Nihil get destroyed, get beaten, even though we're not

[00:53:01] into that in the books yet, but there was another thing that I had already said that

[00:53:04] they got beaten.

[00:53:05] Yeah.

[00:53:05] I mean, it's, we know they get beaten.

[00:53:07] We don't know how it happens yet.

[00:53:09] Um, so he thinks that they could be a splinter cell off of them who then decided we're just

[00:53:15] going to be pirates now instead of trying to take over the whole galaxy.

[00:53:18] We'll just be pirates.

[00:53:19] And I could see that for sure.

[00:53:21] That would be interesting.

[00:53:22] There are symbols.

[00:53:23] The scratchy symbol that he did is very similar to the scratchy symbol of the Nihil.

[00:53:27] Like a lightning bolt for the Nihil.

[00:53:28] Yeah.

[00:53:28] Yeah.

[00:53:28] So it's like a, like a take on that.

[00:53:30] So that makes a lot of sense.

[00:53:32] Um, and, uh, the mask in the room.

[00:53:36] Okay.

[00:53:36] So then, um, okay.

[00:53:40] He, that's where also where he said that he thinks that the pirate is, is 33.

[00:53:45] Um, and then they do talk about the pirates that you can't see his face.

[00:53:49] Does give us now what is at added.

[00:53:52] Right.

[00:53:53] It's, it's a old Republic mint.

[00:53:54] It's an old Republic meant to make money.

[00:53:57] So that's where the, all the, the treasure is, is the fact that they're just printing money

[00:54:04] for you.

[00:54:05] So you can go take all of this money, especially these high Republic credits.

[00:54:10] So they're still printing high Republic money now, even though the high Republic era is done.

[00:54:18] Why?

[00:54:19] Why?

[00:54:19] What's happening?

[00:54:20] Right.

[00:54:20] Where's it going?

[00:54:21] And like, is the supervisor, does the supervisor know like, Hey, 1904 pennies are really, really

[00:54:33] hard to come by and very expensive.

[00:54:35] So if you keep making me a whole bunch of 1904 pennies, I can sell them for thousands of

[00:54:40] dollars each.

[00:54:41] Maybe.

[00:54:42] So I don't know.

[00:54:42] I'm not.

[00:54:43] It sounds like something a pirate would do.

[00:54:44] Or matey.

[00:54:45] Sure does.

[00:54:46] Uh, so then at the very end, this is when John does his big heel turn, which we've been

[00:54:53] waiting for the whole time and anticipating.

[00:54:56] And he finally says, uh, I want to challenge the captain for the captainship.

[00:55:04] Yeah.

[00:55:04] Whatever it is.

[00:55:05] Pirate code.

[00:55:05] Pirate code says, yep.

[00:55:07] And he says, just, uh, just, just yield, just say, yield, just say yield and we'll be done.

[00:55:12] And this is where like, I don't know.

[00:55:14] I, yeah, kind of a heel turn, but I think that, um, I don't know.

[00:55:21] I guess we'll see.

[00:55:22] I'm not sure.

[00:55:22] But to me, it doesn't seem, it seems to me like he, he needs to be able to do like in

[00:55:27] order to do what he needs to do now, he, he can't have these kids like second guessing

[00:55:31] him every step.

[00:55:32] Right.

[00:55:32] So, I mean, if he was really like that guy, he would have done that and then killed the

[00:55:37] kids.

[00:55:38] Yeah.

[00:55:38] But he's like got a softer.

[00:55:39] So my thought is like, yeah, he's still out for himself, but I don't know that it's a

[00:55:43] complete heel turn.

[00:55:44] They're going to see, the kids are going to feel betrayed, obviously.

[00:55:46] Yeah.

[00:55:47] And even, even when he says, um, take them into custody, he was going to take them back

[00:55:53] onto ship.

[00:55:54] Yeah.

[00:55:54] But instead of letting them roam around the ship, they were going to like put them in

[00:55:58] a jail on the ship.

[00:55:59] They're going to be grounded.

[00:56:00] They were going to be grounded.

[00:56:00] Stay in your room.

[00:56:01] Yeah.

[00:56:01] So he was still making his way back to add in.

[00:56:04] He probably was just going to use them as ransom instead of, you know, whatever.

[00:56:13] So interesting that, and, and the fact that they didn't, now they're all impaled on spikes,

[00:56:18] right?

[00:56:18] That they didn't pick up on that because then Wim says, Oh, we are all coincidentally hiding

[00:56:26] right here on this trap door that we just five minutes before saw collapse underneath

[00:56:32] this.

[00:56:32] Yeah.

[00:56:32] Which by the way, we skipped over the absolute best part of the episode.

[00:56:35] Oh my God.

[00:56:36] Which I totally saw as it was about to happen.

[00:56:38] I was like, wait a minute, that doesn't look like the top of the lightsaber.

[00:56:42] No.

[00:56:43] And so, so Fern, uh, challenge breaks away or, or whatever.

[00:56:50] And she swings like some kind of baton at it, mace at him.

[00:56:54] He uses the force.

[00:56:55] He uses the force a couple of times to stop it.

[00:56:57] He ducks away cause she's 11 and he's 50.

[00:57:00] But his commander with the force there seemed pretty good.

[00:57:03] Like he wasn't like, you know, he like,

[00:57:06] grabbed it and he chucked it.

[00:57:07] And he chucked it.

[00:57:08] He was moved.

[00:57:08] Yeah.

[00:57:09] It wasn't, it's not like he's just kind.

[00:57:11] So like he does have some facilities.

[00:57:12] And he also going back a little bit before that, he also said to 33, you have control

[00:57:19] over the facility now?

[00:57:20] And he said, yes.

[00:57:21] And he goes, okay, turn the acid back on.

[00:57:24] Yeah.

[00:57:24] And you heard everybody say, we're going to get you, but I have a feeling they're not

[00:57:28] going to get him.

[00:57:29] I think they're just skeletons at this point.

[00:57:32] Uh, well, some of them, I'm sure we're going to see some of them like, you know,

[00:57:35] we burn marks or something, but I mean, for sure they didn't kill Urkel off screen.

[00:57:41] Right.

[00:57:41] Yeah.

[00:57:41] Like if Urkel's going to die, he's going to die on screen.

[00:57:43] So I guess they were just like, they were able, some of them were able to fight their

[00:57:47] way back up the steps and get away from the acid because that's when he did say, I need

[00:57:51] to find another way out of here.

[00:57:53] So I guess he didn't kill everybody quickly.

[00:57:55] It just rose up from the bottom.

[00:57:57] They were able to get away.

[00:57:58] But, uh, yeah.

[00:57:59] So then, then Wim, so she tries to fight him off.

[00:58:02] He uses the force.

[00:58:03] He's got his giant, big rusty blade up against her, which by the way, looked like if he were

[00:58:08] to try to cut her head off, he was going into his arm.

[00:58:12] Also, that blade was very large.

[00:58:13] Yep.

[00:58:14] Um, but you know, that's just me.

[00:58:16] Um, and then nobody else sticks, sticks up for him.

[00:58:20] Wim grabs the lightsaber is holding his big heroic moment.

[00:58:25] It's big, even the music changes.

[00:58:28] He's like, this is not one of your stories.

[00:58:29] Yeah.

[00:58:29] He's like this.

[00:58:30] Don't, don't do it.

[00:58:31] And it would have been perfect for him to say, you'll shoot your eye out kid.

[00:58:35] And then he turns it on and it's upside down.

[00:58:39] It's like his, it made me laugh out loud.

[00:58:41] Oh yeah.

[00:58:42] It's hysterical.

[00:58:42] But it's also like when I stopped and thought of it, it was kind of tragic because it's

[00:58:45] like this kid has been wanting nothing but to like help to be the hero.

[00:58:49] Hero.

[00:58:50] Yes.

[00:58:50] And he has his moment and he completely messes it up.

[00:58:53] And this is twice.

[00:58:53] And then he has to, not only does he, he has to cower.

[00:58:57] Right.

[00:58:57] Like, but he does kind of get them out of it a second.

[00:59:01] But like, and it, that's a moment, you know, you have these, uh, he does.

[00:59:04] There's a little redemption arc there at the end when he does hit the, hit the thing to

[00:59:08] get them out of it.

[00:59:09] But you know, the guy is like in his brain, you know, all those, that's a, that's a core

[00:59:13] memory.

[00:59:13] Oh, that, that has been burned in there.

[00:59:16] He's going to remember that forever.

[00:59:18] He's going to be 80 years old remembering when he lit the damn lightsaber upside down.

[00:59:21] Even if we find out that he does have force powers and does become a Jedi and is the next

[00:59:28] Kanan.

[00:59:29] He's always going to remember.

[00:59:31] Doesn't matter.

[00:59:32] That time when he lit the lightsaber upside down, he's going to be about to become one with

[00:59:37] the force.

[00:59:38] Yeah.

[00:59:38] His deathbed is going to, oh, no.

[00:59:41] They did do a really cool thing as a lightsaber was bouncing all over the place.

[00:59:45] You saw burn marks.

[00:59:46] Yes.

[00:59:47] In the floor.

[00:59:48] And even after the blade closed and went out, the scorched concrete was still there.

[00:59:55] Yeah.

[00:59:55] And when the, when the hilt shimmied a little bit before it went into Jod's hand, you saw

[01:00:03] the scorched concrete.

[01:00:05] Have you ever seen when power lines have gone down and have hit a sidewalk?

[01:00:11] No.

[01:00:12] Oh my God.

[01:00:13] It happened in my neighborhood.

[01:00:14] A lightning bolt hits a, um, not a generator, whatever the big boxes are at the top of the

[01:00:21] telephone poles.

[01:00:22] Yes.

[01:00:23] Hit a transformer.

[01:00:25] Power line went, was flapping all over the place.

[01:00:29] It's dangerous as hell.

[01:00:30] Very dangerous.

[01:00:31] It melted concrete.

[01:00:33] Jeez.

[01:00:34] Like it was crazy.

[01:00:36] There was, we went walking by days later and the concrete was melted.

[01:00:41] It was nuts.

[01:00:42] I was like, oh my gosh.

[01:00:44] So yeah.

[01:00:45] So they did a good job of making it look like that because that's what it looked like

[01:00:48] on, on the sidewalk there.

[01:00:50] Um, well, do you know what a transformer is?

[01:00:52] A transformer does?

[01:00:53] I didn't know until recently.

[01:00:54] I know.

[01:00:55] I just know that it's like, uh, it's holding all the electricity of some sort in there.

[01:00:59] I, I had no idea.

[01:01:01] I actually looked it up.

[01:01:02] I thought it was really interesting.

[01:01:03] The trend, like all the wires right on the telephone poles are extremely high voltage.

[01:01:08] Yes.

[01:01:08] Um, the transformer pulls that voltage down.

[01:01:13] Okay.

[01:01:14] To send it into your house.

[01:01:15] So it's, it's the voltage.

[01:01:16] It's the voltage you need to your house.

[01:01:17] It actually, it actually is what makes the voltage go down.

[01:01:20] So if the transformer gets blown and you got that live wire, that is so much voltage.

[01:01:24] That's all that high voltage bouncing around there.

[01:01:27] Yeah.

[01:01:27] That's very scary.

[01:01:28] It was very scary.

[01:01:29] Very crazy.

[01:01:30] So then, yep.

[01:01:31] The, the kids hit the button, fall down into the trap.

[01:01:35] John gives a little look like, oh, come on.

[01:01:39] Like, why did you do that?

[01:01:40] You didn't need to do that.

[01:01:41] Whatever.

[01:01:42] Um, and then he goes, all right.

[01:01:46] And he picks up the lightsaber and you hear it turn on as the credits roll.

[01:01:52] Yep.

[01:01:52] Very good ending is now you can, you can visualize while the credits are going to him, holding

[01:01:59] it, spinning it around a little bit, being like, yes, this turning it off and then putting

[01:02:04] it onto his belt on the other side of his fancy knife on one side and his, uh, lightsaber

[01:02:11] hilt on the other side.

[01:02:13] But now obviously he's going to have to get the kids.

[01:02:16] So he, and he's going to, and he said to 33, we need to find another way out of here

[01:02:21] also.

[01:02:21] Yeah.

[01:02:22] So I have a feeling the opening scene for the next episode is going to be 33 going.

[01:02:28] That's the other way out.

[01:02:30] Yep.

[01:02:30] And then they're both going to have to jump down that hole or something like that after

[01:02:34] the kid.

[01:02:35] I'm also getting strong, like, uh, empire strike back, back vibes where Luke goes down

[01:02:40] the shaft and like lands on the antenna at the bottom of cloud city.

[01:02:44] Oh, right.

[01:02:45] Okay.

[01:02:45] And then the millennium Falcon has to pick them up to pick them up.

[01:02:47] So I was like, I'm just, I'm just picturing four kids holding onto each other, hanging off

[01:02:51] an antenna and then him just flying up underneath.

[01:02:54] I'm like, all right, all right, let's go.

[01:02:56] Yeah.

[01:02:56] Well, get on, get on the ship.

[01:02:58] Had to do it this way.

[01:02:59] Had to do it this way.

[01:03:00] I was going to have him just put you in your room.

[01:03:02] Right.

[01:03:02] But now we got to do this.

[01:03:04] Yeah.

[01:03:04] So that's very interesting.

[01:03:05] So yeah.

[01:03:06] So it was a great episode.

[01:03:07] I had a lot of fun watching it.

[01:03:09] I watched it.

[01:03:09] Like I said, three times.

[01:03:10] That was episode five.

[01:03:11] That was episode five.

[01:03:12] We have three more.

[01:03:13] We have three more.

[01:03:15] I, I, this is one that I really hope gets renewed for a second season.

[01:03:18] Yeah.

[01:03:19] Uh, I, I like what they're able to do with this.

[01:03:21] Again, there's no preconceived notions about what it's supposed to be.

[01:03:24] There's no like expectations of like, oh, I need to see this person or that person.

[01:03:28] And they're actually doing a good job at making it a fun Star Wars adventure.

[01:03:33] They're not bogging it down with crappy like, uh, writing.

[01:03:37] Right.

[01:03:37] Um, I don't know.

[01:03:38] And even, even the kids are doing a very good job.

[01:03:41] And yeah.

[01:03:42] And Jude Law is great.

[01:03:43] Like, yeah.

[01:03:44] You see a big, huge name like Jude Law.

[01:03:46] I thought there's a chance this guy kind of phones it in for this.

[01:03:49] You know what I mean?

[01:03:49] Because so many of these projects I feel like have not done well.

[01:03:53] Yeah.

[01:03:54] But like, he's hysterical.

[01:03:55] He's, he's doing a really good job and it, I don't know.

[01:03:57] I hope they continue with it.

[01:03:59] Um, I was watching the Christopher Reeve story.

[01:04:02] Mm hmm.

[01:04:03] And Superman one, I forget who his dad is.

[01:04:08] Marlon Brando.

[01:04:09] Yes.

[01:04:09] Brando was his dad.

[01:04:10] Yep.

[01:04:11] He, they asked him, what did you think of working with Brando?

[01:04:15] And he said, uh, he said, yeah, he, he phoned it in.

[01:04:19] He didn't want to be there.

[01:04:20] He got paid $2 million and he just didn't even care about being there.

[01:04:24] Yeah.

[01:04:24] Brando didn't seem like the, uh, the nicest dude.

[01:04:27] No, but I thought it was really funny because Christopher Reeves had done nothing before

[01:04:32] this movie.

[01:04:33] And now suddenly was like the it man.

[01:04:36] And he's like bashing brand out, but I was just like, okay, but Hey, if you're going to

[01:04:40] call it in and somebody else winds up becoming the it man, they're going to call you out on

[01:04:46] it.

[01:04:46] And that's what happened.

[01:04:47] So yeah.

[01:04:48] So Jude Law definitely is not calling it in.

[01:04:50] He's having a good time.

[01:04:51] He's, he's doing a great performance.

[01:04:54] I'm enjoying his performance.

[01:04:55] Um, I'm enjoying the kids performance.

[01:04:58] I do want the show to be renewed, but I'm also trying to figure out where it would go in season

[01:05:04] two.

[01:05:05] Like, are they like half of the fun right now?

[01:05:09] They haven't, they're not setting it up by the looks of it.

[01:05:11] I mean, we have no, I have no idea what's going to happen.

[01:05:13] Right.

[01:05:13] Yeah.

[01:05:14] Honestly.

[01:05:14] So I don't know what, where we're going to get to, um, and how that will like set up

[01:05:19] for sequels.

[01:05:20] Um, but I don't know.

[01:05:22] It just, this formula, uh, I like the problem with it.

[01:05:26] I feel like is you're dealing with child actors and child actors.

[01:05:29] Right.

[01:05:29] Yeah.

[01:05:30] And like they just finally finished, um, stranger things season five.

[01:05:37] And it's the last one.

[01:05:38] It's a last one.

[01:05:39] Apparently every single episode is two hours long because they have so much story to tell.

[01:05:43] Yeah, I'm sure.

[01:05:44] And the kids already are in their thirties now and they're still trying to play like high

[01:05:48] schoolers.

[01:05:48] So they're like, all right, we need to, we need to finish this now.

[01:05:51] So, um, yeah, like that's the other problem is if you're going to have the kids again, you

[01:05:58] know, if it takes three years in between now, suddenly the kids go from 11 to 15.

[01:06:03] Like, are you going to build in that time jump?

[01:06:06] Right.

[01:06:06] You know?

[01:06:07] And if they're all just on at, at in that time, like how, how is that going to work or

[01:06:11] whatever?

[01:06:11] So, and Disney does not have a good track record about turnaround time on new seasons.

[01:06:16] No, no, not even a little bit.

[01:06:17] So it was the last season of the Mandalorian.

[01:06:19] Well, that's because they then decided they're going to do this movie and you know, whatever

[01:06:24] taking their time with that.

[01:06:26] But even that it was like a year and a half, two years in between the first three seasons.

[01:06:31] Remember like when cable was a thing and every year you'd get a new season.

[01:06:36] Trey was like, uh, watching, um, Abbott elementary.

[01:06:41] Sure.

[01:06:42] Very funny show.

[01:06:43] I have a hard time watching it.

[01:06:44] Really?

[01:06:44] Cause it's wants me to watch it.

[01:06:46] I watch it and I feel stressed out because it's too realistic.

[01:06:49] Like work.

[01:06:50] So season one, the first two or three episodes, I felt that way.

[01:06:55] That's about as far as I made it in.

[01:06:57] I taught in North Philly.

[01:06:59] Okay.

[01:07:00] Um, for three years at a charter school in North Philly.

[01:07:02] I taught in Baton Rouge.

[01:07:03] Okay.

[01:07:04] So yeah.

[01:07:04] So it's a similar, similar, um, demographic.

[01:07:09] And, uh, I was like, no, I was like, this is, this reminds me too much of teaching at the

[01:07:16] charter school.

[01:07:17] Sure.

[01:07:17] Um, they start to get more into the funnier stuff and less into the teaching stuff.

[01:07:27] Um, there's just a lot more interaction between the teachers and the principal and things like

[01:07:33] that and less interaction in the classrooms where kids are acting up in the classrooms

[01:07:38] and stuff like that.

[01:07:38] Right.

[01:07:39] They're actually, the kids are very well behaved, um, comparative, comparative even

[01:07:45] to our kids.

[01:07:46] It's like, I have kids in my class that are not nearly as behaved as the kids are on this

[01:07:52] show.

[01:07:53] So, uh, yeah.

[01:07:54] So it's, it, uh, if you can reality is crazier than fiction.

[01:07:59] So, so you get past that pretty quickly.

[01:08:02] Um, all right.

[01:08:03] I'll have to try and give it, you have to try and give it another shot.

[01:08:05] But Trey was saying the same thing.

[01:08:06] He's like, Oh my gosh, I don't know if they're on their third or fourth season already, but

[01:08:11] you know, network television, 35 episodes, like the office, uh, 35.

[01:08:16] Five episodes a season.

[01:08:18] They have off for the summer months and then they're back in and again in September 35.

[01:08:23] He's like, Oh my gosh, they have so many.

[01:08:24] And I'm like, yeah, this is, this is what used to be.

[01:08:27] Television used to be this.

[01:08:28] It wasn't for streaming.

[01:08:29] Yeah.

[01:08:30] It wasn't 10 episodes every two years.

[01:08:32] It was, this is what it was.

[01:08:33] So you gotta like, uh, we watch Frazier a lot in the house.

[01:08:37] Uh, there's 11 seasons and each one is 25 episodes.

[01:08:42] Yeah.

[01:08:43] It's crazy.

[01:08:44] There's hundreds of episodes of Frazier.

[01:08:46] Even, even like we keep rewatching Bob's burgers.

[01:08:49] Sure.

[01:08:50] And there's 16 seasons of Bob's burger so far and there's 25 to 30 episodes each season.

[01:08:57] Every once in a while there's like a shorter season, but still like same thing.

[01:09:01] Like you have endless, uh, episodes to keep rewatching.

[01:09:05] And by the time you get all the way through it, you're like, Oh, I'll just watch season three

[01:09:09] again because you forgot it.

[01:09:12] Cause it was 160 episodes ago.

[01:09:13] Yep.

[01:09:14] You know where this, you know, five seasons is only 40 episodes and you're like, Oh, so

[01:09:20] that's a downfall to streaming, but that's every streaming network is the same thing.

[01:09:25] They're just doing 10 episode seasons.

[01:09:28] And I mean, it's, it's this weird cycle that we've gotten ourselves into as a society where

[01:09:32] it's like cable became too expensive.

[01:09:34] So we got Netflix.

[01:09:36] Right.

[01:09:36] And Netflix had everything, but then other companies started the streaming thing and

[01:09:41] you needed Netflix and Hulu and Peacock and prime prime and max max.

[01:09:48] Um, and so like you, you switched to streaming to save money cause it was way cheaper.

[01:09:52] And now you have all these right streaming services and it's more expensive.

[01:09:57] It's more expensive.

[01:09:58] And Disney plus has quadrupled since.

[01:10:02] Yeah.

[01:10:02] I don't know what five times.

[01:10:04] Aside from that.

[01:10:05] And then, you know, now all of them are getting on the Netflix train of cracking down on you

[01:10:09] can only have so many, so like the big thing that caused streaming was piracy.

[01:10:17] Yeah.

[01:10:17] You know, people are pirating our thing.

[01:10:18] How can we combat that?

[01:10:20] So now they have this and now we're to the point now where it's like, well, why are we

[01:10:24] not going to just pirate again?

[01:10:25] Yeah.

[01:10:26] Right.

[01:10:26] Piracy.

[01:10:27] Like we're back to the point where it like setting up a VPN and loading a whole bunch

[01:10:33] of seasons and setting up a private network at home.

[01:10:36] Why wouldn't I just do that instead of spaying, you know, $15 times eight.

[01:10:41] Yeah.

[01:10:41] And like everyone in the streaming networks has one show.

[01:10:45] Yeah.

[01:10:46] Well, yeah.

[01:10:46] One show that, you know, like thankfully did with Vanjie, you know, my daughter is like

[01:10:50] Disney isn't, we need it.

[01:10:51] Yeah.

[01:10:51] And Disney comes with our, and that's another thing that is like rampant is like, Hey,

[01:10:56] if you have AT&T, you also get this, that, and the other.

[01:10:57] So like we get AT&T and max through eight or a max and Disney plus and Hulu through AT&T.

[01:11:03] Okay.

[01:11:03] Yeah.

[01:11:05] But thankfully, you know, we have Vanjie.

[01:11:07] So we get a lot of use out of Disney.

[01:11:08] Right.

[01:11:09] But like we, we had realized like, why are we paying for Paramount plus?

[01:11:13] Yeah.

[01:11:13] I like, I was about to cancel Paramount plus.

[01:11:15] We did.

[01:11:16] And then Trey was like, Oh, I'm watching survivor.

[01:11:19] And I'm like, now you're paying that money for survival.

[01:11:21] I'm paying that money for survivor.

[01:11:22] Yeah.

[01:11:23] Uh, because survivor or Paramount plus used to have like the challenge, different challenge

[01:11:28] shows.

[01:11:29] We, we like the challenge.

[01:11:30] MTV is the challenge.

[01:11:31] It's a reality game show survivor thing type game.

[01:11:36] Um, but for the last four seasons have only been on a, on MTV.

[01:11:43] Yeah.

[01:11:43] So it's like, I've been paying for Paramount plus for the past year and a half waiting

[01:11:47] for one of these challenge shows to come on Paramount plus.

[01:11:51] And they're not coming on Paramount plus.

[01:11:53] So why am I still paying for it?

[01:11:54] Now Trey's just watching survivors.

[01:11:56] I'm paying for just survivor and Apple plus same thing.

[01:12:00] Ted Lasso.

[01:12:01] Amazing show was watching that love that it's over.

[01:12:04] Now I'm watching, um, shrinking amazing show.

[01:12:08] So it's my opinion, the best television right now.

[01:12:12] So if you haven't watched it, if you don't have Apple TV plus, it's a shame because you're

[01:12:17] missing out on the greatest television show of 2024 in my opinion.

[01:12:22] Um, but it's the only thing I watch on there.

[01:12:24] Yeah.

[01:12:24] So I'm paying $15 a month to watch one show.

[01:12:28] Yep.

[01:12:28] So, and, and then when that shows over, do you remember to cancel it?

[01:12:33] No, no.

[01:12:34] And then like a year goes by and you go, Oh right.

[01:12:37] I've been paying for this.

[01:12:38] I've been paying for this.

[01:12:39] Yeah.

[01:12:39] Uh, let me see what's on there now.

[01:12:41] And I'm trying to find one show to watch on so that I can justify paying $15 a month.

[01:12:47] I guess what we're trying to say is Bantha Milk podcast supports piracy.

[01:12:49] We sure do.

[01:12:51] If you are all for taking money away from large.

[01:12:54] That's right.

[01:12:54] You want to share your Apple TV account with us?

[01:12:57] Send us your email address and password so we can, we can, uh, we can sign into your

[01:13:01] account as well, please.

[01:13:02] Thank you very much.

[01:13:03] Or, you know, if you're a cedar on the pirate bay dot, whatever it is now, you ever go on

[01:13:07] the pirate bay?

[01:13:07] No.

[01:13:08] No, I have not.

[01:13:09] No.

[01:13:10] Uh, yeah.

[01:13:10] So for those of you who bit torrent out there still.

[01:13:13] Oh yes.

[01:13:14] Yeah.

[01:13:15] That is, that is the piracy bay.

[01:13:17] The pirate bay.

[01:13:18] Is that for TV now instead of a song?

[01:13:20] Well, it's for everything.

[01:13:21] For everything.

[01:13:22] Okay.

[01:13:22] Like if you want to download movies, songs, TV, um, you know, you can download

[01:13:26] but like, you gotta be careful.

[01:13:28] I, I specifically recall I downloaded a 30 rock.

[01:13:31] Okay.

[01:13:32] And then I got an, I got a letter from NBC from Comcast from Comcast saying, Hey, we

[01:13:38] saw you downloaded 30 rock.

[01:13:42] Don't do that.

[01:13:42] Don't do that.

[01:13:43] And I was like, Oh, all right.

[01:13:45] Okay.

[01:13:45] But like, I think part of the problem was as soon as you download it, like in this,

[01:13:49] in this, uh, program, you automatically become a cedar.

[01:13:51] So other people can download it.

[01:13:53] And so I think I accidentally was seeding it to other people.

[01:13:56] So they were like, Oh, you are, you are sharing it now.

[01:13:58] You're not just a receiver, but you're sharing it and we don't want you sharing.

[01:14:01] You're not allowed to do that.

[01:14:03] Yup.

[01:14:03] And I definitely don't want to get sued by NBC universe.

[01:14:06] No, because they have just a shade more money than you and a couple better lawyers than

[01:14:11] you.

[01:14:11] Yes.

[01:14:11] Anyway, great episode.

[01:14:13] Yes.

[01:14:13] Skeleton crew.

[01:14:15] Uh, best of the season so far, best of the series so far, best of the season.

[01:14:20] And so we got three episodes left in our season.

[01:14:23] Yup.

[01:14:24] And of course the next one comes out on new year's day.

[01:14:27] That's January 1st.

[01:14:28] January 1st.

[01:14:29] So you don't know.

[01:14:30] So, um, we'll be back at work on the second and then, uh, probably do you want to try and

[01:14:37] shoot for that Friday?

[01:14:38] The third again, we might as well.

[01:14:40] We might as well keep doing these on Friday nights.

[01:14:43] Yeah.

[01:14:44] All right.

[01:14:44] So look for us next Friday night to, uh, break down episode six, episode six,

[01:14:50] um, make sure to have your cat or dog spayed or neutered.

[01:14:54] That's right.

[01:14:54] Um, and from all of us here at Banff Milk Podcast headquarters, we have spoken.

[01:14:59] We have spoken.

[01:15:02] That was nice.
