You Won't Find A More Indulgent Treat At Disneyland Than This $185 Waffle Shot

Have you ever visited Disneyland and thought, "Gee, I wish I could spend even more money here"? Well, now you can! For a cool $185, you can indulge in the latest offering at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa's pop-up holiday cart: the "waffle shot."

Journalist Julie Tremaine from SF Gate recently reported on this new option, and it sounds priced to make the other offerings seem more realistic.

The theme park is known for its exorbitant prices, but the latest offering really outdoes itself.. For the low, low price of $185, you can order a "waffle shot" at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa's pop-up holiday cart, filled with an exclusive liquor.

In the past, this has included chocolate chip cookies baked in the shape of a shot glass or red velvet cookies, but this year's version is a "waffle shot" made with a wafer cone-like texture and lined with chocolate. You can order it with milk or egg nog, or with one of 11 different liquors. Most of these options will set you back $17, but there's one that's a bit more exclusive. Simply labeled "Inquire," this liquor is none other than Remy Martin Louis XIII Grande Champagne Cognac.

The waffle shot is made with a wafer cone-like texture lined with chocolate, and you can order it with milk or egg nog, or with one of 11 different liquors. The other 10 options will set you back a mere $17, but there's one that says "Inquire." That special liquor is the pricey Remy Martin Louis XIII Grande Champagne Cognac. This stuff is the real deal, with a price tag to match. A bottle of Louis XIII typically sells for around $4,000, and a standard 1.5-ounce pour can go for around $500 at trendy restaurants in Los Angeles. So, when you consider that the waffle shot filled with this top-notch cognac is "only" $185, it starts to feel like a pretty good deal.

Of course, some may argue that it's not exactly appropriate to mix such a high-end spirit with chocolate. But hey, it's Disneyland. You're already spending a small fortune on tickets, souvenirs, and overpriced ice cream bars shaped like Mickey heads. Why not treat yourself to a luxury drink?

Sipping on a super fancy drink while trying to spot hidden Mickeys on the 700-pound gingerbread replica of the Grand Californian hotel and listening to the pianist play festive carols is definitely a way to spend some time while waiting for the crowds to die down. So, if you're feeling extra festive (and extra wealthy) this holiday season, head on over to Disneyland and treat yourself to a $185 waffle shot. You deserve it!
