Joe Rohde - perhaps the most well-known Imagineer operating today - is known for his eclectic style, deep and personal knowledge of art history, and that realy cool earring he has! If you have ever wondered what his personal collection of art and artifacts must look like (we have), then you are in luck, because Joe is selling off some of his personal collection.
Rohde posted this over on his Instagram page earlier today:
Fans of the Expedition Everest line queue, among other things, will know that Rohde himself traveled to places like the Himalayas in order to find authentic masks and paintings to hang inside the ride. So the items Joe is selling here are not reproductions, or things you can just grab at Cost Plus. They are the real deal, and if we can't trust the provenance of Joe Rohde, well then we are all lost.
As of publication, there are only three items up for sale, but we expect that to change over time. Of course, they aren't cheap, but to anyone serious about collecting traditional and authentic items, you should find the prices to be pretty good. If you want to follow along and see the artifacts as they are posted, you can follow the Instagram account set up for all of this, @rohdegaragesale, or just keep hitting refresh on Joe Rohde's eBay page here.
