Disneyland Will Open Their Doors To be Used As A Mass Vaccination Site

Dark days in southern California have been the norm of late. Thousands have died facing the Coronavirus, but a new hope has arisen. Vaccines are available and the task now is to get shots in arms. Disneyland is here to help.

Orange County is looking to ramp up its vaccination efforts for those eligible and is looking to designate five mass
vaccination sites around the area. Disneyland stepped up and offered its empty streets to the county.

There is no news yet about where in the theme park shots will be given, but we know who will be getting them. Since California is still working on their first tier of priority, health care workers and long-term care residents will be among those who are eligible for a shot. Appointments are necessary and available through the county’s app, Othena. No walk-ins will be allowed.

This is a huge step in distributing the COVID vaccine. Initial efforts in some parts of the country failed to cover enough people, prompting a wider response. Orange County is one area that is hard-hit by the spread of COVID, so opening the Parks for this reason is a great choice. Mass vaccination clinics like these are going to be commonplace even though the summer as more doses become available and the state moves from high risk populations into the general public.

Would you go to the Disneyland vaccine site?
