Churro Toffee From Disneyland Looks Like It Was Dropped In a Sandbox, Tastes Like a Day At The Parks
Churro Toffee

I wasn’t planning on trying the $5.99 Churro Toffee- I’m not a huge churro fan. I'd rather smell one than eat one. (Sorry, Terrence!) But I kept hearing good things about Churro Toffee. So, on a whim, I bought a piece, labeled it “Mom’s”, tucked it in the back of my fridge, and promptly forgot about it... until a few days ago.

Upon unearthing this palm-sized treasure, my first impression was that it lacks the visual appeal of most Disney treats. It’s misshapen and is void of any cutesy or colorful decoration. I wondered if I'd been given a particularly ugly piece or those 7 weeks in the fridge had taken a toll. But no, this is how it's meant to look.

It's beautiful on the inside

Despite my resistance, it was love at first bite. The combination of buttery, salty, sweet almond toffee covered in creamy white chocolate and dusted with cinnamon sugar tastes as good as a churro cart smells.

I plan on adding this one to my rotation of park treats and can’t wait to try a fresh one straight from the display case.

Churro Toffee can be found at all the usual shops: Trolly Treats or Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff in DCA, Pooh’s Corner or Candy Palace in Disneyland, plus Marceline’s in Downtown Disney.
